Untying her tie, Evelyn let out a deep breath as she entered the dormitory. Her shoulders relaxed as she remembered that she was done with her school year. She had spent the whole day getting her final marks of the school year. She had gotten top marks in all of her classes again. Her exams' results had been out of this world, her homework had been always on time and her essays had been amazing to read. For the fourth year in a row, Evelyn had been the perfect student.

She had been the perfect student while being the perfect friend, girlfriend, classmate and daughter. Hopefully, this would follow her in the next year as well. Well, she was planning to go well, especially when next year, she had OWLs to worry about as well.

The blonde girl dropped on her bed and closed her eyes. It was strange how she was facing the end of another year. She had finished her fourth year and now, she was waiting for her fifth one. She already knew it was going to be the most stressful year of them all. She could feel it on the way her body trembled when she thought about. If the thought stressed her out, she didn't even want to think about how she would feel during it.

As she was about to get lost in her thoughts, she heard two voices approach the dorm. It didn't long for her to recognize those voices as Gabriela's and Christina's.

"Hey." Christina greeted her. "How did it go with Ancient Ruines?"

"Top marks, naturally." Evelyn smiled making Christina roll her eyes while Gabriela snorted. "How about you two with Care of Magical Creatures?"

"Gabriela did the best in the exam, of course," Christina answered her. Evelyn wasn't surprised as Gabriela loved creatures and always read books about them. "And I did pretty well myself." As she took in her two friends, she realized that the other one was missing.

"Where is Dee?"

"With Gideon," Gabriela responded to her. "So, are you finished with all of your classes?"

Evelyn hummed. "Yes, my next three days in school are free." She informed her friends as she sat up from her bed. "Well, free of school. I still have to invite people to my birthday and meet Rabastan."

"When are you meeting him?"

"On Thursday," Evelyn answered. "Before I get my marks' report from Flitwick. Why you ask?"

Gabriela and Christina shared a look that made Evelyn's stomach drop. She didn't know why it made her stomach drop. After all, her friends were only looking at each other.

"What is it?" She questioned them, not being able to help herself.

Christina crossed her arms. "Gabby, Dee and I have been talking about our heart to hearts..." Evelyn's heart skipped a beat. Had they found out something regarding Hart? "and we think that we should include the boys this year."

She had to try her best not to sigh in relief. She had assumed the worst about her friends' shared look.

"What do you think?" Gabriela asked her. Evelyn blinked before gulping down. She hadn't thought about the boys being part of their yearly tradition. "We thought as we have grown closer with the boys, we should let them on our secrets and be open with them." She continued. "It's not just the four of us anymore. It's seven now."

"Eight." Evelyn corrected her as she pursued her lips.

"Yes, eight," Gabriela repeated. "I didn't include Don because he isn't here." She told Evelyn who didn't say anything about it. "Chris even plans to tell them about being a kitsune."

Her eyes widened and she turned her attention to Chris. "Really?" She exclaimed. "You want to tell them?"

"I think it's about time they know." She dropped her arms and shrugged. "They are our friends and I trust them." She lifted her chin. "Do you want to tell them about being a Parselmouth?"

Evelyn gulped down. She wouldn't mind telling them, but she had promised her dad that she wouldn't tell. Sure, she broke that promise by already telling the girls and Don. It was maybe too much to tell the other boys.

She trusted them just as much as she trusted the girls. She believed that they would keep this secret of hers. After all, it didn't impact them as the secret regarding Hart. If she told them that, she knew that all hell would break loose. However, telling them about being a Parselmouth wouldn't cause so many problems. Also, it would be odd for Chris to open up about being a kitsune while she stayed quiet about her secret.

"Sure." She told them and the two of them raised their eyebrows. "I think the boys ought to know by now."

Gabriela smiled. "Good, good." She muttered before she pushed her hair out of her face. "I think they will be happy to know we're including them in a tradition."

Evelyn agreed with her. She knew that the boys would love to be let on secrets, especially Carter. He wouldn't admit it but her friend loved secrets and gossiping.

"There is a problem though," Christina spoke out.

Both she and Gabriela frowned. "What?" They asked in sync.

"We can't sneak out in the grounds when we're seven people." She pointed out to them. "We need to have our heart to heart somewhere else. Preferably inside."

"We can do it in a classroom after dinner," Gabriela suggested.

Evelyn shook her head. "No, no, what makes our heart to hearts special is that we have them late at night." She reminded her and Gabriela frowned. Her friend wasn't a night owl like the others. Gabriela always slept the earliest between them.

"So, where should we go then?"

A smile crossed Evelyn's lips as a thought crossed her mind. "I have an idea." Her smile grew as the look of confusion kept growing on her friends' faces.

"Why have we gathered in our dorm again?" Edrick asked them as they all huddled on the floor of the boys' dorm room. Since they couldn't go outside or meet in a classroom, Evelyn had thought that having their heart to heart in the boys' dorm was the best option.

As Diana dimmed the light with her wand, Evelyn cleared her throat to respond to Edrick's question. He was sitting on her left while Diana was on her right. On Edrik's left was Carter who looked half-asleep. "Every year, we have a tradition of gathering on the floor and having a heart to heart with each other."

Henrik frowned. "'eart to 'eart?" He was sitting between Carter and Christina.

"Yes," Evelyn responded to him. "We open up to each other about things that have been bothering us or secret that we have been keeping." She explained to him and the two other boys.

"Of course, it's your choice if you want to open up or not." Gabriela quipped as she was between Christina and Diana. She hummed in agreement. Her eyes sought out Christina who was looking down and biting her lip. Was there a chance that her friend was having second-guessing? "We won't force you to do anything."

"Who wants to start?" Diana asked as she put her wand down.

All three girls glanced at Christina who bowed her head and refused to look up.

It was obvious that she didn't feel comfortable telling the boys. Evelyn didn't blame her as her friend had complicated feelings over being a kitsune. More than Evelyn had complicated feelings about being a Parselmouth.

To give Christina some courage, she raised her hand. Everyone turned to look at her, including Christina. "I have something that I want to say," She whispered and they all focused their gaze at her. She shifted at first before she pressed her lips together. "You remember when I told you about Isolt Sayre? The founder of Ilvermorny?" They all nodded their heads. "Well, she's my ancestor." They all raised an eyebrow at her.

"Wasn't she related to Morrigan? De Irish wetch who was known to be a powerful animagus?" Evelyn wasn't surprised that Henrik knew about Morrigan. She was one of the best witches to ever exist. Some even thought she was a goddess of some sort.

She nodded her head. "She was. She was also related to the Gaunt family." As soon as she said that, Edrick's eyes widened and his back straightened. Carter and Henrik, on the other hand, seemed a bit lost. "The Gaunts used to be the direct descendants of Salazar Slytherin."

Carter blinked his eyes before speaking. "Wait, wait, wait..." He raised his hands as he looked at her. "Salazar Slytherin being an ancestor of the Gaunts and the Gaunts being ancestors of Isolt will mean that you are a descendant of Salazar Slytherin." His brown eyes widened so much that she was surprised that they didn't fall off. "That means that you can be a Parselmouth."

"I am," Evelyn revealed. Henrik covered his mouth, Carer gasped while Edrick just stared at her. "I found out the summer before the third year-"

Edrick who had come to his senses, cut her off. "Do you know what this means?"

"That I will be in danger if someone found out about it?" She guessed.

"No." Edrick answered before shaking his head. "Well, yes, but also, it means that you are the perfect future wife for Rabastan." Her face fell at his words. "If his parents found out, they'd fight people to marry you with him."

"Too bad I would rather die than talk to them." She retorted making all of them chuckle. "But you can't tell anyone about it. With the war going on," She felt Diana tense next to her. "it's not safe if people found out about it."

"Who knows besides us?" Carter questioned her.

"Just my dad's family, Don and mum," Evelyn answered his question. "No one else knows and it's better to stay that way."

Henrik creased his eyebrows. "Not even Rabastan?"

She flinched before she nodded her head. "It's better for him not to know right now." While Evelyn was falling for her boyfriends day by day, she wasn't sure if she could trust him with this secret. Not because she was afraid he would tell, but because she knew he would make it a big deal.

"That's one way to start a heart to heart," Edrick muttered as he ran his hand through his hair. "Merlin, you are a Parselmouth." He scoffed in disbelief. "I don't know if anything can top that."

"I'm a kitsune," Christina said out of sudden.

Everyone stayed silent at her confession. The boys almost fainted at the news while Evelyn glanced at Diana and Gabriela. Her friends had confessed her secret a bit too abruptly. Even the girls were taken back by it.

"I was wrong," Edrick muttered before he turned to look at Christina. The girl had her arms crossed and was still looking at the floor. "A kitsune like the ones in the Quidditch World Cup?"

Christina nodded her head. "Yes." She sighed. "One of them was my mum."

"Which one?" Henrik wondered.

"The wind one." She let him know and they all nodded. "I'm a wind kitsune as well and so are my aunt and grandma. All the women in my mum's family are kitsunes. All of them are included in this group that is made of other kitsunes in Japan. My mum wants me to join them, but I don't want to."

Carter squinted his eyes. "Why not? Their powers seemed to be outstanding."

"Because I won't get to be a Quidditch player, I won't get to study in Hogwarts anymore and I won't get to see you that often. Maybe not at all as it depends on the tasks that I'm given." She explained to them. "I refused to give up my life to become a powerful kitsune." Evelyn saw Christina roll her eyes. Even a year later, Christina still was having problems with her mum. "My mum hates that I think this way. She thinks my dad westernized me by wanting me to study in Hogwarts."

"Do you think you're westernized?" Gabriela wondered.

"I know I am a bit, but I don't care." She responded. "My mum also thinks that I shouldn't spend time in Korea as well. So, it's not just Hogwarts and Britain that bothers her. Bad news for her since I'm spending the first few weeks of July in Korea."

At Christina's words, Evelyn scrunched her nose. "What? I thought you were staying the first week with me before going there." If Christina went there for the first few weeks that meant she was going to miss her birthday.

"I forgot to tell you that there was a change of plans." She answered and Evelyn pressed her lips. She had hoped that her friend would be there. "My great-grandma heard about it and she really wants to see me. She told me that she misses me a lot." Evelyn didn't say anything. She had hoped that Christina would be there when she moved out. "Don't worry though. Since I'm going to Korea, I'm going to bring the best skin products for your pimples." Evelyn smiled at her friend.

While Christina continued to tell the boys more about being a kitsune, Evelyn found herself obsessing with the fact that Christina wouldn't be there for her birthday.

Both of them started panting when they broke away from the kiss. They had been so caught up in it that they forgot that they needed to breathe. Rabastan's lips, hands and body had made Evelyn forget about her own senses and let herself be lost on it. While she hated being lost in other situations, she loved being lost in his passionate and consuming kisses.

"I'm going to miss you so much." He whispered to her as he moved his kisses to her cheek.

She wrapped her hands around his neck and leaned into the kiss. "Come on, a few weeks aren't that bad." She muttered. She shifted as his lips slid down to her jaw. "Sure, I'll miss you a lot too, but we will get to see each other before I leave for America." Her heart skipped a beat as his kisses started to linger.

"We're not going to see each other until September, Evelyn." He responded to her.

At first, Evelyn didn't think much of it as she was distracted by his kisses. As his kisses started to lower on her neck, her eyes snapped open and she pushed him off her.

"What do you mean September?"

Rabastan breathed out. "I won't be able to see you through the whole summer."

Evelyn stayed silent. She didn't know what to say. While she knew she wouldn't be able to see Rabastan all the time, she had hoped they would spend some quality time together. They didn't even have to hide if they went to a place packed with muggles.

"Aren't you going to say something?"

She licked her lips before she shook her head. "What I'm supposed to say, Rabastan?" She rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Am I supposed to say how tired I am of this? Because I'm so tired that I don't even have a fight in me." Rabastan closed his eyes and let out a hiss. "Also, there's nothing else to say. I can't make you hang out with me during summer, can I?"

"You have to understand that it's too risky for me to leave my house in summer." Rabastan tried to explain. Truthfully, Evelyn was full of hearing the same old excuse. "I'm on the constant watch by my parents. They like knowing where I go, and what I do. They're controlling, Evelyn." Her body shivered. She couldn't imagine what life her boyfriend led. He had so many boundaries and restrictions. She didn't know if she could survive the lack of freedom he did. "I can't risk it."

"I understand." She whispered as she took a step towards him. "I just want to see you. I want to be able to go on dates with you. I want you to come to my birthday party. I want you to meet my mum properly." He hummed at her words. "I hate that we're not able to do that."

He pushed a strand of hair out of her face before he cupped it. "In due time, we will be able to do everything that we want," Rabastan assured her and she looked up at him. "You just have to be more patient."

Evelyn knew that she needed to be more patient. Yet she couldn't forget that she ahd to wait almost two years. that meant that there was going to be another two years of hiding, keeping secrets and unable to show their relationship in public. It was already tiring and stressful. She couldn't imagine what it was going to be in two years.

As she looked up at Rabastan, she was reminded that none of it mattered as she was with him. The exhaustion, stress and worries melted away because of her feelings for Rabastan. Her feelings for him were more important than all of them. They were so important that any struggles could be passed as long as they were together. She believed in both of them and their relationship.

So, she tiptoed and pressed her forehead against his. "I'll be patient." She slid her right hand around his neck while her left moved to his shoulder. "I promise." She ended her promise with a smile.

Rabastan returned it as he placed his hands on her hips. After that, she pulled him in for a deep and searing kiss which her boyfriend wholeheartedly accepted.

"We're going to the beach almost every week," Marlene told her about her summer plans as they headed to the Gryffindor common room. "Which makes me glad that I play Quidditch. My body is very fit these days."

Evelyn frowned. "I believe that Benjy would love your body no matter what." She muttered. A part of hated hearing her friend boast about her plans with her boyfriend while Evelyn had none. However, she kept her mouth shut about it and just listened to her friend. A perfect friend wouldn't say anything after all.

"Yes, in the perfect world, he would." Marlene pointed out and Evelyn tilted her head. "We don't live in the perfect world."

She shifted at her friend's choice of words. "I get that, but he's also your boyfriend. Boyfriends are supposed to like your body, especially when you've been dating for a while."

"They are supposed to, but they don't." Marlene reminded her. If Rabastan didn't like her body and told her to change something, Evelyn would probably break up with him. Of course, after having a talk to him about it. If he didn't budge, she would break up with him. However, she knew that she didn't need to worry about that with Rabastan. "Either way, I can't wait to be on a beach alone with Benjy. It's truly a dream come true."

Evelyn chuckled as they approached the Fat Lady portrait. "Walks on the beach during sunset, are quite romantic."

"I was thinking more of on the lines of finding a secluded area of the beach rather than long walks," Marlene stated as she grinned at Evelyn.

She nudged her friend and let out a chuckle. "Get your head out of the gutter, Marls."

"What, Eve? You're telling me you won't do the same if you were in my place." Marlene rolled her eyes before she muttered the password. As the portrait was about to open, Evelyn noticed the Fat Lady give them a judgemental look. She was probably listening in the conversation. "How about you? What are your plans for the summer?" She wriggled her eyebrows.

The two of them entered the Gryffindor common room that was filled with people. It made Evelyn realized why it was called the loudest house of them all.

"Romantic plans? None." Marlene raised an eyebrow. "While I'm expecting my other plans to be spontaneous."

"You? Having spontaneous plans?" Marlene repeated and she nodded her head. "Are you okay?" Her friend raised her hand to Evelyn's forehead and she slapped it.

"I'm alright." Evelyn scoffed. "I just want to have some spontaneity and adventure this summer. If I don't, I'm afraid that it will be boring." Marlene snorted at her. "And with James as my new neighbour, I expect it to be a little exciting."

"If you tell Potter about it, he will take it as a personal challenge." Evelyn laughed at Marlene's words. "But you're right. You should have some fun. This year kept you busy, Eve. It's time for you to have fun."

Evelyn agreed with her friends. While she hated not having Christina around and not being able to see Rabastan, she knew that this summer had all the ingredients to be unforgettable. After all, she was moving out of her home on the second day of summer.

"You're right about that." She answered. "Are you going to come to my birthday party?" Evelyn expected an immediate answer from Marlene. When she didn't get it, she glanced to see that her friend was looking at someone. When she followed her gaze, she saw that she was staring at Benjy. "Marls?"

Her friend came to her senses and spared a glance at Evelyn. "I'm going to talk to Benjy for a few minutes." She muttered to Evelyn before she rushed to Benjy. When the boy spotted her, he immediately wrapped his arms around her and pulled her friend closer.

Evelyn looked away as she felt her stomach turn. She could only dream of doing that with Rabastan for the next two years.

As she looked away, her eyes spotted a familiar figure sitting alone on the window still. Seeing as Marlene was with Benjy, she decided to join the boy.

"Hi, Sirius!" She greeted him.

When the dark-haired boy turned to look at her, he raised an eyebrow at her. "Ah, Lynn. What brings you in my common room?"

Evelyn pointed to Marlene. "She did, but she got a bit distracted by her boyfriend's presence." He chuckled at her words as she moved closer to him. "And what are you doing here? All lonesome looking at the window sorrowfully?"

He scowled at her. "Did you see me looking at the window sorrowfully?"

"No, but I thought it had a bit more of dramatic flair to it." He rolled his eyes before letting out a chuckle. "Since you're alone, a question arises. where is my soon to be neighbour?"

"He went to sleep. He was tired."

She leaned against the wall. "James gets tired?" She joked. "Good to know that his energy isn't everlasting."

"Is anything everlasting?"

"The sun probably is."

"Stars can explode." Sirius pointed out.

"And you would know all about stars, right?"

"A star was named after me. Don't you know?" He remarked quirking his eyebrow. "The brightest one at that."

"To match your personality, I presume?"

Sirius shot her a bright smile. "You presume right."

"Well, since you are bright enough to have a star named after you, what are you doing on the fourth of July?"

Sirius raised his eyebrows at her. "Depends on who's asking."

"Me." She told him. "It's my birthday and you are all invited to my party." She explained to him as he looked at her. "So, is it yes or no?"

"Is the whole school going to be there?"

Evelyn frowned. "Why would the whole school be there?"

"Because you're friends with about everyone." He pointed out and she rolled her eyes. "I won't be surprised if the ghosts showed up."

"No, the whole school isn't going to be there. A lot of people in our year aren't invited either." She informed him. "So, are you coming?"

Sirius tilted his head and hummed. "I'll see about it. I frankly have a busy schedule."

Evelyn rolled her eyes at him. As she opened her mouth to speak, Marlene called her name. She turned her head to see her friend beckon her to come. She gave Marlene a curt nod before she turned to see.

"Well, see if you can clear your busy schedule to attend my party." She quipped as she crossed her arms. "After all, I would love it if you showed up." She didn't wait for him to answer. She just walked away from him towards Marlene as she left his answer remain a mystery to her.

Evelyn looked down at her marks on the piece of paper. It was so clean and so beautiful to look at. All top marks with words of praise from every one of her professors. even Hart had complimented her activity in classes and her essays. Although, his comments about the essays twisted her stomach a bit.

This was what Evelyn wanted and most importantly, this was her dad wanted. He wanted her to be the best student. She was the best student in Hogwarts for the fourth year in a row. An accomplishment that she hoped would finally make him proud of her.

"Like always, Evelyn, your marks are stellar." She looked up to professor Flitwick. As per usual, at the end of the year, he handed her and the others their marks' report and had a small talk with them about their year. This year was no different from all of them. "Your behaviour was exemplary as well. Not a single detention this year. Your club has grown, your Muggle music classes are going great and you won a debate." Evelyn was trying to forget that she won because she was taken as a joke. "You truly exceeded everyone's expectations."

"I expect to do that again next year," Evelyn informed him and he let out a laugh. "Thank you, professor. A student is nowhere without their professor." While it was true that she had great professors, Evelyn was sure she would reach success without them.

"It's my pleasure to teach a student like you." He told her as he looked down on some papers. "You've impressed me greatly, Evelyn and I do not doubt that you're going to impress me even more next year, especially with your future badge."

Evelyn wanted to scream inside of her at what he said. She didn't have to guess what he was talking about. She knew immediately and she had to contain herself. "A badge?" She repeated as she pursued her lips. "I didn't know you decided this early."

"I don't, but there's no denying that you are the perfect choice." Evelyn smiled at his words although her stomach dropped. "However, please, don't share the news with anyone else. I won't like the other students to think I'm playing favourites."

"My lips are sealed," Evelyn assured her professor. She wondered if she could tell her parents. She was sure that they both would love the news. "Thank you for telling me beforehand."

"Did I need to tell you? I thought you would have figured it out by yourself."

"It's better to be told than to think." She stated and he nodded his head. She got up from her seat. "I'll see you in the feast, professor."

He bid her goodbye and Evelyn exited the office. As soon as she closed the door, the biggest smile appeared on her face. Not only was she the best student in her year, but she was also going to be a prefect. She had expected this, of course, but it was so good to hear it from Flitwick. Now, she didn't have to stress over the summer if she was going to be a prefect or not. She already knew that.

Without wasting her time, she headed down to the Great Hall. She knew that some of her friends except for Gabriela and Carter were already there. Both Gabriela and Carter had yet to meet up with Flitwick himself.

As she basically skipped on her way to the Great Hall, she found herself arriving there under five minutes. She entered the place and headed to where her friends were. She took a seat between Edrick and Diana. While Diana was talking to Christina and Henrik, Edrick was moping.

"What's up with you?"

"I'm hungry." He groaned. "And my hunger isn't helped by how beautiful Jenna looks tonight."

Evelyn glanced at the girl who was far away from them. She was almost at the edge of the table with Loraine and a few other Ravenclaws.

"It must hurt that she's so far away from you." She teased him.

"You have no idea." Edrick mused making her giggle.

After a few minutes, the five of them were joined by Carter and Gabriela. Soon enough, the hall went quiet as Dumbledore got up and began to speak.

"We have come to the end of another year in Hogwarts." He began to say and Evelyn turned her attention him. "This year has been an unforgettable year." She hard Carter mutter something, but Didna shushed him. "It has been filled with new and old friends, success, joy and love. Unfortunately, it has been filled with a lot of losses and sadness as well." She shuddered at the reminder of the war. "However, we all need to remember that in these difficult times we're facing, we need to hold on and fight. We need to fight for ourselves, our families and friends. We need to fight for a better future not only for you but for your kids and many generations to come." Evelyn looked down as her hands started to shake. Outside the castle walls, everyone could be a victim to Death Eaters,e even her. "You need to be careful and vigilant in these dark times for our community, but mostly, you need to have hope." His twinkling blue eyes moved all around the hall. "Because if you choose hope, many possibilities can open. With many possibilities in your way, anything can happen."

Evelyn was going to do that. She was going to fight whilst being careful and hopeful. She was going to be hopeful until her last breath. She was sure of that. She could only hope that the people around her would do the same.

It was strange saying goodbye to all she knew. She had grown up in this house. She had learned how to walk, talk, read, sing and cook. The house was filled with many memories. Some were upsetting, but most of them were heartwarming, tearfully happy and filled with laughter.

She looked around the room that she had since she had been a baby. She remembered the times that she would read under the covers. She remembered playing around with Don when they were little. She remembered her mum holding her as they slept. She remembered her sleepovers with her friends.

There was no doubt that Evelyn had lived a good life in her home.

The room was empty now. Just light yellow wallpaper with suns on it and the hardwood floor. Nothing else. It made her feel empty as she felt the room was stripped away from the memories. It was hard to think about them without her bed, desk, wardrobe or even her toy box. Although, she hadn't used her toy box since she was six.

While processing the emptiness, she heard steps approach her door. She turned around to see her mum walking in the room.

"It looks so odd without furniture too," Evelyn admitted as she glanced at it. "Not just the room, the whole house does." Except for the kitchen, every room was empty of furniture. Her mum had taken some of them in storage while others she had donated in different shops.

"I know." Her mum put her arm around her. "But it won't be empty forever."

Evelyn looked up at her mum. "You found tenants already?"

"No, I'm talking about you." Her mum told her and Evelyn raised her eyebrows. "One day, this house will be all yours. Well, it's technically yours, but it won't be officially yours until you're seventeen." Her mum reminded Evelyn. Sometimes, Evelyn forgot that the house was in the ownership of her mum after she paid her debt to her grandfather. "You'll start your own life here. The adult life you so desperately crave." Her mum pinched her cheek making Evelyn laugh. "It's not gone forever."

"It feels like it is."

Her mum frowned as she moved to face Evelyn. "Are you having second thoughts?"

"No, no, no." Evelyn jumped in to say before she alerted her mum. "It's just this house has been a constant in my life and now, it's not going to be. It's a bit strange."

She moved to squeezed her shoulder. "I know, but it won't be strange anymore. You're going to get used to this change soon."

Evelyn nodded her head. While she as always scared and nervous about change, she learned how to adapt on it with time. She ahd been nervous about Hogwarts, but in a matter of weeks, she had found a second home amongst her friends and professors.

Yet this event seemed to be another new chapter of her life just like Hogwarts had been. Evelyn wasn't just moving out, she was turning fifteen and starting her fifth year in September. She was truly leaving what she knew behind and starting a new journey. A journey she was conflicted about. There was so much excitement over it, but it was also filled with other underlying feelings that Evelyn couldn't figure out.

"I'm growing up, aren't I?" She asked the question more to herself than her mum. It was loud enough for her mum to hear it though.

"Yes, day by day as much as I hate it." Her mum whispered making Evelyn smile. "Now, come on. We have to head to Ezra's now."

At her mum's words, Evelyn hummed. She felt her heart flutter in her chest at the fact that she was going to say goodbye to her home of fourteen years and a half. Sure, she was going to come back in a few years, but she wasn't going to see it in years. Probably not until she graduated from Hogwarts.

Her mum walked outside of the room first. Evelyn lingered a bit longer as she took in the room for a few seconds. She took a deep breath before she looked away, walked out of the room and closed the door behind her.

With this chapter, we end the fourth year of this story (if it wasn't obvious). The fourth-year was exciting to write with the debate, the plot surrounding Hart, Evelyn starting a relationship with Rabastan, growing closer to Lily and the Marauders, getting to know other characters like Elena, Gabriela and Rose etc. It was quite fun and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

The fifth-year is going to be a lot more different and a lot more of a rollercoaster. There are a lot of issues surrounding Evelyn right now and she's going to face even more of them. We will find out who is behind Hart's talks, what her dream in the previous chapter meant, we will have more moments with the Marauders (especially during the summer), there will be tension arising in different relationships Evelyn has and we will have Evelyn being a prefect while trying to study for her OWLs. It's going to be a lot for both you all, Evelyn and the other characters. So, prepare yourselves.

Thank you for reading, following, favouriting and reviewing my story. It's very appreciated.

Guest your fan: I'm glad that you found the chapter interesting. It was one of my favourite chapters to write. As you describe it, it was haunting beautiful all wrapped in one. That ending was truly heartbreaking for me too. I'm sorry that it made you cry though. Evelyn's ignorance and lies are going to catch up with her and not only are they going to hurt her, but they are also going to hurt everyone around her as well. It's going to be some difficult times for Evelyn ahead.
