Note: Almost AU.
Ira adored his little brother Zittire, or Zitti as what he calls him, and no one else. Whenever he remembers Zitti, he'll remember those childish grins, twinkling eyes, melodious laughs and the everlasting kindness. But... It always dawdles down to remembering those people who hurt him and gave injustice.
He never wanted anything other than to kill everyone. Everyone is the same. Humans to demons are the same. They don't know what is justice.
But why? Why is this kid standing in front of these two low demons and protecting them from him?
"No!" The kid shouted, glaring and almost pouting. "Don't hurt them!"
He tilted his head to the left. "And why?"
"They're my friends!" The kid declared before looking back to the two demons. "Go now."
The two demons looked at each other and stayed.
"Hie! He'll hurt you!" The kid shrieked quietly in panic. It was comical that it almost made Ira smile.
"Grgs... La-rj..." [We won't leave you behind.] One of them said.
To Ira's surprise, the kid understood the words. "O-Okay. Then we should wait for him to leave?"
"Pir-g." [Will he leave though?] The other demon question.
The kid peered at him. "Onii-chan? Are you going to leave?"
"No." He replied immediately and plopped on the ground for emphasis. Nah. He's just toying them.
The three looked at each other. The kid slowly sat on his last spot and the other two followed. "You'll behave, Onii-chan?"
He made a thinking face. Huh. The kid reminds him of someone. "I'll think about it."
"Okay."
He listened to the three converse among themselves. More like the kid listens to the demons talk about their lives. He can see confusion on the child's face but the latter still tries to understand and mouths the words he doesn't get. Although the demons do mind the kid getting confused and try to coax him to play, the kid shakes his head with a small smile and urges them to say more.
Ira inspected the kid blatantly. The small human has this gravity defying brown hair, brown eyes and cute face. He's pretty small for a kid. Maybe four to five years old? He's wearing a sweater with fish embroidered on it, a knee-length yellow shorts and yellow shoes. The child is very expressive too. He can clearly see the confusion, understanding and awe in his eyes. He's not scared of the low demons nor freaked out from them. Maybe because he's a child? Because kids are the bravest when they don't know anything.
He watched the demons say goodbye to the kid who only smiled at them. He too was going to get up and follow the two to finish them up when he felt brown eyes stare at him. He froze, blinked and sat down again. The kid looked away after.
Huh...
They stayed like that for minutes until it slowly turned to an hour. Although it was quiet, it wasn't awkward. Like... He doesn't mind it. For once, it's peaceful and he doesn't want to destroy something.
"Onii-chan." He eyed the kid. "Are you hungry? We can go eat. I have money."
"Why buy? I can eat you instead." He pointed out.
"Eh? No! You can't eat me!" The brunet shouted with a shake of his head.
"Why can't I eat you?" He asked, perplexed. Usually, people offer themselves to him.
"Hie?! I'm not a food!" The kid shouted, eyes wide.
"And why not? Humans are food." He argued back.
"Ah. Then you're not human?" The kid asked as if suddenly understanding him with a crane of his head to the left. "But you look human."
Ira pushed his hair back to let the human see his horns. "I'm a powerful demon."
"Oh. Can I touch them?"
Ira blinked and shrugged. "Sure."
The kid stood up and went near him. He watched as the kid reaches out a hand. He felt a soft touch before the kid started to caress his horns. It was gentle and soothing. Ira can't help crooning at the feeling. But then the hand stopped so he nudged his head to it. It feels nice.
When another hand patted his hair, he heard the kid say 'fluffy', pertaining to his locks. He can't help chuckling at that. The kid also laughed and did his job nicely. Ira didn't know he fell asleep at the feeling. When he woke up, it was already dusk. He was also laying on the ground with the kid curled up on his side and an old man reading a book while sitting beside th. He noted how green eyes slid to him from the text.
"Ah. You're awake." The old man remarked. "Don't sleep again, we'll wait for Tsuna to wake up."
He looked down to the kid who clutched his shirt. "This kid?"
"Tsuna." The old man nodded. "His name is Tsunayoshi Sawada. Or Tsuna."
"That's a fish." He pointed out.
The geezer grinned at him in amusement. "He likes fishes too."
"Why are you here? Why didn't you take him?" He asked, a little bothered when the kid (Tsuna, his mind supplied) mumbled. "What is he mumbling about?"
"Books. He likes books. And he won't leave you behind." The old man went back to his book. "You fell asleep and he felt responsible. He said you'll worry if he suddenly disappears. We laid you on the ground but you started to call him Zitti and took his shirt. So he stayed beside you until he fell asleep."
"Zitti...?"
The old man looked at him again and nodded. "A lover? Or a sibling?"
"My brother..."
"Tsuna must have reminded you of him." The old man shrugged like it was a normal occurrence. "He also reminds me of my wife. The old woman near our house remembers her children on Tsuna. What's your name, child?"
Child? Why would the geezer call him child? Ira was about to retaliate that he's older when the kid whimpered. He looked down to see what happened but the kid is only frowning, uncomfortable. He tried to relax, causing the kid to relax too. Tsuna scooted closer and mumbled things.
"Well?" The geezer asked.
"Wrath." He answered.
The old man nodded. "So a Sin finally woke up. How unusual. I thought it was Tsuna's job to wake you up and seal you up again."
"This kid?" He asked, surprised.
"Yes. He's the last descendant from Giotto de Vongola's bloodline."
His mouth went 'o'. "So that's why he's so familiar."
"They do look a like. Hmm... That will be troublesome then."
"Jii-jii...?"
Both looked down to see Tsuna waking up. The kid opened his eyes. Ira stared at those unseeing orange eyes before they turned brown. The kid sat up, yawned and rubbed his eyes with his hands. He still looked sleepy and adorable with the pout on his lips.
Ira also sat up and patted his clothes, not like they'll become cleaner. He stood up and was about to leave when he felt a tug on his clothe. He turned back to see the little brunet gazing up to him with innocence.
"You're going without saying goodbye, Onii-chan?" The kid asked. "That's bad."
"Tsuna." The old man admonished.
"But Kaasan said we should always say goodbye so others can tell us to take care of ourselves and come back again." Tsuna informed gently before staring at him. "Onii-chan? No goodbye?"
Ira hesitated before saying it. "Goodbye."
His heart fluttered with warmth when the brunet beamed at him with the widest smile. "Take care and come back again!"
He nodded in daze before he disappeared. That night, he laid on his bed, remembering the warm feeling in his heart.
He could've done it! He could have!
How dare them?! How dare them hurt a child who never did bad to them? To try and discipline him like he did the deed while their children acted innocent?! Humans are stupid! Humans are all about injustice! Humans should perish and rot in hell with him!
But...
He reigned over his anger, a hand on the soft brown hair and the other on the small back. It's more heart breaking to hear the child sob his heart out and cry for his safety and the safety of others. He was a second on obliterating all of them. On killing all of them. However, Tsuna intervened and pulled him away. So right now, they're somewhere in the trees of the park, sitting on a bench there.
"Stop crying now." He murmured. "It's not good for a kid to cry."
A whimper.
"Fine. Cry." He puffed in annoyance.
Teary brown eyes peeked at him. "Onii-chan."
"What?"
The child bowed his head in shame. "I'm sorry."
"What are you apologizing for?"
He heard a sob that made him groan. "F-For putting you into trouble. I-If I was accepted by everyone, I wouldn't be p-picked on."
Ira flickered the Tsuna's forehead. "Stop that. It's their fault for picking up on you. They don't know how to be contented." He sighed. "You know. I should be eating you because you're feeling like that."
"Hie!"
He showed his teeth to the kid who stared at him with wide eyes. "I'm gonna eat you!"
"No!" The brunet put his small hands on his lips. "You can't eat me! I'm not tasty! And I cried! Crying children should be hugged! Not eaten!"
He pried the hands off him. "Who said that? That's stupid."
Tsuna wrinkled his nose. "It's a sense! Don't you get hugged when you cry?"
Ira blinked and tried to remember when was the last time he cried and got a hug. He shook his head. "Nope. Don't remember."
He watched the kid's expression went from surprise to sad. Tears started to leak again, causing Wrath to panic. "I-I'm sorry..."
"Hey hey." He immediately hugged the kid. "You're not supposed to cry on that."
"I'm sorry." Tsuna sobbed.
When Jii-jii came at them hugging each other as Tsuna cried and cried, he didn't say anything. He was even grinning that irked Ira, but the latter couldn't do anything with the brunet latched on him.
"Onii-chan!" Tsuna shouted in glee while running towards him.
Ira immediately put his hands away that were smeared with blood. Just why didn't he dip it in the ocean awhile ago before he came here? "What?"
"Tehe." The brunet smiled widely at him before pulling out a box of chocolate. "Kaasan made them for us when I said I have an onii-chan!"
Wrath was going to take it when he remembered his bloody hands. "Shit-"
"Eh? Are you hurt?" Tsuna asked before his eyes flashed orange in understanding. "We should clean your hands, Onii-chan. You're always dirty too."
Ira couldn't say anything when Tsuna hid the chocolates to his bag and took his hands. They went for the faucet in the park and crunched down there. He watched the kid clean his hands away with water while listening to him blabber about school, the books he read yesterday and the things he did.
It has been a habit of him to come every fourteenth day from the last time he visited. Tsuna must have some radar because he is always on time, waiting for him in the park while reading a book in the swing or by the bench under the trees. It can't be helped if he has been visiting the human world more often. Fiant is troublesome. Too many demons that he wants to destroy. No sins have woken up too, not like he wants them to wake up. They're too much to handle.
"The teacher asked how old I am, and I said I'm eight. How old are you Onii-san?" Tsuna asked in curiosity, eyes twinkling.
"I'm thirty-one millennia years old." He answered, uncaring.
"You're older than Jii-jii?" The kid queried in awe. "I wanna grow old too!"
"You can if you live long enough." He nodded.
"But Onii-chan, you're really young for an old man." He chuckled at that. "You should also wash your face, Onii-chan."
"Why so?"
"So I can see your eyes more!" Tsuna beamed. "They're so red. Rubies!"
He sprinkled some water on the kid's direction. "Shut up. They aren't that pretty."
"They are!" He jerked a little when wet hands cupped his face and lovely brown eyes stared straight at his eyes. "Onii-chan's eyes are really pretty. I read once that the eyes reflect our souls. It means if they're pretty, then your soul is pretty too."
"I'm not. My soul is tinted." He watched the child tilt his head to the left in confusion. He sighed. "It means I'm dirty in one part."
"Oh. Then we have to clean it too!" Tsuna smiled. "I'll ask Jii-jii how to clean it. It will be okay. Then your eyes will still be pretty."
He let the kid pull him to the bench. He indulged the kid on eating chocolates while listening to him blabber about things. Tsuna is really a chatterbox. He'll never run out of things to say. Nor questions to ask. Like if the wind in the sky is cold. Or is the ocean that deep. Or did he meet a shark and be friend it (Is that even possible?).
With all honesty, Ira didn't have this much peace. Everytime he destroys a city, a nation, or a land, he always wants to see Tsuna after. The brunet is his happy pill. The small human doesn't question why his shirt was burned. Or why his hands have blood on them. Sometimes, Ira thinks Tsuna understands even if he doesn't say anything of what he did. And he likes that.
He really likes that.
He stared at the kid's hair. Tsuna winced and looked down in embarrassment. The brunet looks really different. Although still small for a ten years old, adorable even. But now that he cut his hair short, he became more handsome.
"Y-You don't like it?" Tsuna asked, nervous.
"Why did you cut it?" He asked back, knowing he'll get his answer first. The brunet never demanded anything from him anyway.
"I-I've been training with Jii-jii and Tousan how to defend myself. The bullies are being physical so I needed to stop them myself."
"Is it about the baby demon you saved?"
The brunet nodded before his eyes became a little teary. "W-Was I wrong?"
Ira rationalized. Jii-jii already told him that their line is from Giotto de Vongola. That sorcerer has a mental ability too. So if they're from his line, it means they also have that ability right? Besides, Tsuna said he has this alien thing inside his head. It means that's the intuition right?
"Was the alien in your head said to save the baby?" He asked.
Tsuna nodded. "He said I save him. I did."
"Then you're not wrong. Besides, you always do the right thing, Tsuna. You never do the wrong things. And I like it. It makes you look cool."
He watched the kid sob his heart out. He pat the soft hair. As much as Tsuna had become his entertainment for the past six years, he also became the kid's pillar other than his parents and Jii-jii. The kid always comes to him when he doesn't feel nice, or when he felt angry about something. He said his anger and sadness go away whenever he thinks of Ira, much more if they talk. And honestly, Ira doesn't know if he should feel happy about it or not.
"Come on." He said, brushing away the tears. "You still have money? Treat me ice cream."
The brunet laughed and nodded. "But ice cream only? Why don't we get a parfait instead? Kaasan gave me a lot of money so we can eat a lot. I also ate a lot of breakfast so I won't get stomach ache if we eat a lot of sweets!"
He grinned. "Then let's go eat everything we can buy."
Tsuna stares at him, mystified. "Piercing? Why?"
"It will look good on you." He said as he angled the brunet's head to envision what kind of piercing that will suit the kid. "Can you handle one on the left?"
"If you take one, I can." He raised a brow on the kid who nodded. Well, Tsuna won't do anything without him these days. So...
"Fine." He said, earning an enthralled smile.
They went for the nearest piercing shop. Tsuna took one on the left ear while he got it on the right. When he went back, the kid persuaded him to get another one. The kid had one on his right while he put another one on his right. The next time he visited again, Tsuna was sporting two studs on his left, grinning childishly at him. He could resist smiling too.
Yup. Tsuna looks cool with piercings.
Red eyes blinked in wonder while staring at a brown drawer. He looked around until his eyes landed on the fourteen year old brunet curled around him. Confusion started to pool on his gut as he watched Tsuna sleep on his arm like a baby. He also noticed that he's hugging the teen by the waist. Almost (probably) snuggling on each other.
How did he get here?
Slowly and carefully slipping off the teen, he went out of the bed and from the comfort of the covers. He padded out of the room and closed the door behind him silently. He looked around to navigate himself. He's in a hallway with some paintings on the brown walls, two doors on his left and four on his right. He went to his right when he saw the railings that will surely lead him to the stairs (it always does). When he got down from the stairs, he saw Jii-jii sitting on a couch, reading a book. He sat on the opposite of the old human.
"What happened?" He asked immediately, weary and unsure. He didn't do something damaging, did he?
Green eyes glanced at him. "You came here, searching for Tsuna."
"Huh?" He blurted.
"In the middle of the night. You were crying for him and he took you in. Since then, you stayed in his room."
Ira's jaw dropped. "W-Why- Why would- Why the heck..."
"I don't know." The geezer shrugged. "Go ask yourself. It's you who's seeking for him."
"Oh. Tsu-kun's friend is awake?" He looked back to see a woman with brown hair and brown eyes. He realized that he's seeing Tsuna's girl version. "Oh my. You're so skinny! That's a no-no! And dirty too! Up! Up we go!"
"I'm-"
"Just go with it." Jii-jii waved off as the woman started to say something about towels and clothes while ascending the stairs. "She's Tsuna's mother. She likes kids and loves to take care of people. It's in her upbringing. And I know Tsuna told you she's pretty scary when she wants to."
"I'm Wrath. I'm a demon. I'm the one who you must be scared off." He stated in a matter-of-fact tone.
The old man only chuckled. "We will be if Tsuna gets scared of you."
Ira doesn't know if he should groan or be happy at that condition. Never and not in a million years will Tsuna get scared of him. The small human doesn't get scared of any kind of demon, be it icky or something indescribable. The teen will even urge him to do worst. Heck. He doesn't know how in the hell the brunet can tolerate his destructive nature. He'll even say the Sin must has been really angry to destroy a nation to oblivion.
Sometimes he wonders what in the hell happened to Tsuna to become like that.
In the end, he followed the mother's wishes. She was really pampering him. He even received clean clothes and a clean towel. When he went out and down to the ground floor again, he stared at Tsuna, who has his head on the table and sleeping his day off, after getting directed by Jii-jii to a room. Nana ushered him to sit beside the brunet. He did and waited for the food the woman is making for them.
"Tsu-kun?" Nana called out as he heard cupboard getting opened.
"Hn?"
"What would you want? Tea or chocolate?" The mother hummed in wonder.
"Choco." He answered for the brunet who looked so out of it. Maybe he didn't let the latter sleep that well? Just what did he do last night? "He'll want chocolate."
"Oh. Thank you, Ira-kun!" Nana beamed at him before continuing her work.
He felt so attacked by the sun with that beam. So like Tsuna's beams who quit smiling these days. And Ira? He doesn't remember saying his name.
"Jii-jii said your name is Wrath." He gazed at the brunet who was looking at him with a half lidded eye. His heart throbbed at how badass Tsuna looked that way. "I translated it to Latin. So Ira."
"My real name is Ira. Ira Rovente." He said, unable to control the urge to tell the brunet the truth. Latin was one of the languages he likes and learned and grew up with Zitti.
"Scorching anger." A mumble before a smile bloomed on the teen's lips. "I like that."
Ira felt his face heat up a little as his heart skipped some beats. "Right."
"Why are you red, Ira?" The other queried, inquisitive like always.
"Where's the Onii-chan now?" He questioned back. He will never admit that he felt something fluttering with how the brunet moves and say his name. He's not even doing anything malicious or something!
"Ira-nii doesn't settle well with me. I like calling you Ira alone." The brunet hummed, closing his eyes. "Ira."
"What?"
"Ira."
The Wrath rose a brow.
"Ira." Tsuna looked back at him and smiled. "I like your name."
He looked away. "I know."
After eating a late breakfast and saying goodbye to go back to Hell, he inspected the feelings he felt when Tsuna said he likes the Sin's name. He wonders why he also liked how Tsuna says his name.
Ira crossed his arms in irritation. For some reason, Tsuna is late in meeting him. The brunet is usually the first one to get in the park, reading a book or sleeping on the bench. He wonders what happened now.
Calling it off, he stood up and started to walk around. Of what he knew, Tsuna has one route that he follows everyday. So he traced the path towards Namimori Middle. His instinct didn't disappoint him like always. He wasn't even near the campus but he can already hear the shouts, curses and flesh hitting flesh.
When he got to the gates, his eyes marvelled how many people getting trashed here and there by the brunet. Tsuna looked bloody but he doesn't look that roughed up. He even sent someone flying to the Sin's way. For someone who's small, Tsuna can move fluidly and hit without much effort. Don't even start with his speed. However, the teen does look a little out of breathe.
Red eyes trained on those graceful moves that beats up every person left and right. Damn. Tsuna has a fit body. He didn't really notice till this day since he was always with the teen. Tsuna is growing up beside him and he never notices.
Lubdub. Lubdub.
He put a hand on his chest in wonders. Why is it beating so fast? Is he going to die now?
"Ira?" He blinked to see the brunet walking towards him, frowning a little in worry. "Are you okay? Why did you put a hand on your chest? Are you hurt?"
"No. It's just beating fast." He replied quietly.
"Really?" Tsuna asked. He watched as the brunet replaced his hand on his chest with it with the latter's own. Ira can't help gulping at the close proximity of the teen to him, and the way the warmth of that hand seep into his body. "Yeah. It's beating fast. Maybe you should take deep breaths so you'll calm down?"
"Sure."
"Take it with me, yeah?"
He nodded.
He tried to calm his heartbeat as they took deep breaths. He resorted to looking somewhere else and thinking of anger inducing memories. Mostly when his brother Zitti died and he was convicted of killing the latter. It worked well enough for the brunet to let go.
He reached out to cup the teen's face and brush away the blood on the latter's cheek then the side of the lips. His eyes got trained on them. Those pink lips that looked so soft and kissable. Shaking his head, he looked away and bopped the other's head in irritation.
"You made me wait." He growled.
"It wasn't my fault! They almost drove someone to do a suicide and I got angry so I attacked them." The teen defended before smiling at him. "Let's go eat something? You look exhausted. Did you destroy another country again?"
"A city. Somewhere in the west." He answered as he started to walk.
"Oh. What did you get angry about?"
They talked as they went to the shopping district of the town. He listens, watches and responds. But he knew, at the back of his mind, he was thinking of those lips and the urge to kiss them.
Ira boredly stared at Pride and Greed before his eyes went to Lust who is fluttering her eyes to him. He rolled his eyes before standing up.
Just why did they have to wake up? He was having fun without them interfering and questioning him. And he doesn't want to share. He wants Tsuna all for himself.
"Where are you going, Wrath?" Pride asked.
He glared at him. "My business, not yours."
He left the silent hall and transported to the human world. He was still glaring when he saw Tsuna sitting on the usual bench. His annoyance simmered to curiosity when he noticed the teen looking so intently on the ground.
He sat quietly beside the brunet. Brown eyes glanced at him in their corners. It struck him how red they were. And how shaded the teen. He never saw Tsuna like this for the past fourteen years they've known each other.
"What's wrong?" He asked, trying to sound casual to mask his worry.
"I'm being taken to the academy." Tsuna said in a hoarse voice. "They were going to take me today but I ran away. I don't want to go."
"Why so?"
"Because I'll be alone." Tears started to pour from those brown eyes. "I don't want to be alone. It's selfish. I know. But what if I don't have an aura? Or someone will bully me again? What if I'm not really fit to become an exorcist, a summoner or a hunter?"
Ira hummed. It was something he learned from the Sawada family. To think he's still learning things. "If you can't be any of the three, why don't you be all of them?"
Tsuna's head whipped to him before a melodious laughter went out of his mouth. "Fuck. You just-" He erupted to laughter again.
Ira can't help smiling. It was something he has noticed doing everytime he's with Tsuna. "What? It's always like that. And you won't be alone. I heard you can call, send letters and go home when vacation comes. You can always take a break after you graduate from one profession before taking another."
Tsuna sobered up and looked away. "I don't want to lose you too, Ira."
"It's not like I can't visit you there."
"No. It's not that." The brunet sighed. "I'm afraid that they'll convince me that you're bad as they say you are."
His brows furrowed. "What are you talking about?"
"I know all about the Sins, who they are and what happened." Brown eyes slid to him. "I never knew how much you suffered. It hurts that I didn't even tried to ask you why were you dirty, why you have a lot of scars, why you were searching for me four years ago." Tsuna pursed his lips, blinking away the tears. "But I know you won't like that. You won't like me asking, so I didn't. It's not that hard to understand you, Ira."
"So you're scared of me now?" He laughed. Damn. He kept it that way because he doesn't want to scare the brunet away. Tsuna was his sense of normalcy. But to come to this... "That's good."
"Ira-"
"It means I don't have to stay anymore right? You don't have to tolerate my attitude and-"
"That's not what I meant!" Tsuna shouted, standing up and facing him. "I'm not scared of you! I don't hate you! If I do, why would I ask you what kind of land you destroyed?! How many people have you killed?! Or why would I encourage you to do more when I should be reprimanding you or scolding you or begging you to stop?!" Ira watched as Tsuna cried more and his voice turned a little tremulous. "I didn't have to, you know. I didn't have to tolerate your personality if I didn't want to. I could've never tried meeting you again too. Shooing you away or avoid you whenever I see that you're here.
"But I couldn't. I don't want to lose you, Ira. I-I... I don't want you to leave me. I want you to be always there. I want to be very selfish with you. I want you to be always destructive with me. Be as comfortable as you could. And just..." The brunet hiccuped and stared at him with longing gaze. "Let me love you as you are."
Wrath doesn't know if his heart will wrench or flutter at what the teen said. He reached out and took Tsuna's hand. He pulled the brunet to him until the latter straddled him a little and he can hug him. He put his face on the crook of the brunet's neck and nuzzled there. He inhaled Tsuna's natural scent and took all the warmth he could get.
Fourteen years ago, he met a small boy who protected two low demons from him. Thirteen years ago, he discovered that kids needed to be hugged when they cry because of the boy. Eleven years ago, he discovered that the boy always understands him. Nine years ago, he discovered how beautiful the boy was inside and out. Seven years ago, he found out how nice it is to have someone to be with when he wanted to do something with the help of that boy. Five years ago, he told someone something about himself that he never did for thirty-one millennia after the boy become a teen. Three years ago, he discovered his feelings for the brunet in his arms. The same person who accepted even without knowing anything about him.
He's in love with the brunet who always beamed at him and eyed him with awe, curiosity and warmth. Who welcomed him regardless of his destructive nature and wrath. He doesn't understand why Tsuna always wants him to smile, laugh and feel okay. Why he always emphasize how beautiful his eyes are and how the brunet always wants to keep him in sight, telling him to take care of himself and come back again safely. Why Tsuna loves him as Ira the Wrath of Sins and Ira Rovente.
Fuck. He's so deep that he loves it.
"Why are you so beautiful even when you cry?" He whispered to the beating pulse he can sense with his lips. He felt a shudder ran down to the brunet's spine. Heh. He likes that. "Do you know how much I'm controlling myself just not to devour you right here and now, Tsuna?"
"I-Ira." Tsuna gasped.
"I like you. A lot." He murmured, kissing the pulse. "I have feelings I couldn't comprehend that I only feel when I think of you, I see you, I hear you and when I'm beside you. Do you know how hard it is not to jump on you whenever you come too close? Or when you do innocent things in front of me? You're such a tease sometime, Tsuna."
The brunet's hold on him tightened.
"With what you said, I won't be able to let you go." He pulled back and stared at those brown eyes. "I won't be able to give you to anyone. Let you get close to any demons without me knowing. Or get a contract without me approving. I'm gonna have you for myself. I'll be toxic. Too toxic for you that you'll want to let go and get away, but you will never leave."
"I won't." Tsuna mumbled, his eyes flashing orange in determination. "I'll cancel out your toxicity with my own poison, Ira. I'll stay and clean you. I'll stay and make you stay with me. I won't let go."
Ira breathed as he let the promise sink in to him, before he reached out and touched those lips he dreamed kissing for three years with his own. It was soft, chaste and sweet. Something he had never tasted before. And to his delight, Tsuna kissed him back. When they pulled back, they smiled at each other.
"This is something I did not expect." Ira looked back to see a familiar face walking towards him. "A pleasure to see you alright, Wrath."
"Kawahira." He nodded before gazing back to Tsuna who's laughing with a noirette. "Why are you here?"
"Oh nothing." The rumoured immortal answered as he stands next to the Sin. "Just checking on the little sky."
"Tsuna, huh?" He mumbled before smiling unconsciously when the brunet almost fell of his seat while trying to evade the lady's attempt to smack him. The little lion with wild mane sat up with a start before laughing again.
"Yes." Kawahira responded. "I'm surprised though."
"Of what?"
"Your aura." He eyed at the white-head immortal who is staring at him. "It is not what I expected it to be. It's nearly cleaned of tint."
Ira grinned and cupped his chin, with his elbow on his knee. "I know. Tsuna's sky aura is really pure."
"He's destined to exorcise you." Kawahira informed.
"We know." He waved off as he watched the young man become expressive with his hands gesturing things. "He knows. But it doesn't mean he won't find a way to come with me."
Kawahira laughed. "Oh my. This will be interesting."
"I know." He nodded as he watched Tsuna mouth his name, as if bragging him to Hana Kurokawa who looked fascinated as always. "I know."
"You're-!"
"What-!"
"I-ra!" Tsuna sang with a wave of his hand as they walked towards him. "Good of you to visit me."
"Not like I never visit you." He retorted back, grinning widely. "Yo, Arcobaleno."
"W-Wrath." Lal Mirch gawked. "H-How-"
"You know each other?" Tsuna asked, blinking his eyes before shrugging. "Oh well. Ancient ones have small worlds."
Tsuna dodged his and Skull's attacks with a cackle. He started to attack more but the brunet only grinned at him with challenge. He took it and tried to catch the pesky little human. The Arcobaleno cried and shouted things but he saw Tsuna wave them off as they chase around.
It has been something they occasionally do since Tsuna got in the academy. Whenever he guessed that the brunet hadn't seen the sunlight for the past days, he'll make him go out with him by chasing him around. He doesn't know if Tsuna figured it out (he always does) and went on his whims or just going with his flow because his lover just wants to have fun with him.
Tsuna is really peculiar sometimes.
When he caught the other, he had him on his shoulder. Tsuna was snickering and drawing patterns on his back. He didn't mind since it's not that ticklis-
"Stop that." He chided when the young man's hand went to his nape.
"Oho. A tickle spot." The brunet said with a tease.
He let the brunet go and took a step back, narrowing his eyes in warning. "No way in hell are you going to tickle me there."
"Huh." Tsuna grinned deviously. "You showed weakness, you'll pay for it."
"I didn't show it, you discovered it." He rebutted.
The young man shrugged. "Same difference."
"Wait!" Skull shouted, causing the two of them to stop and look at the cloud arcobaleno's way. "How do you know each other?! And why are you awake?! Shouldn't the Sins be still sleeping?!"
Ira blinked and glanced at Tsuna who blinked at him with mock innocence too. This kid... "We know each other for eighteen years. I'm awake because according to Jii-jii-" He glared at the brunet who made a 'pft' sound. "-I woke up by the time Tsuna was born. And the others are starting to wake up everytime Tsuna does something amazing."
"Don't say that." The brunet admonished.
He rose a brow. "Still not used to compliments eh? Love?"
The brunet erupted to red and started to walk away.
"Oi."
"I'll keep him from doing destructive things." Fon mumbled under his breath as he ran for the brunet.
"What's your relationship?" Reborn asked, looking relaxed than Ira has seen him. "I never saw him blush red like that. Even if I compliment him with all the things I can think off."
He gave a wide smile. "Of course he won't blush for you. He only gets embarrassed with me because I'm his lover."
He will never forget how the Arcobaleno's jaws dropped that day.
"What in hell are you doing with Jii-jii?" Ira growled as he stared down Pride who looked petrified with his arrival.
"W-Wrath..." The Sin gasped in surprise, unconsciously slacking his grip on Jii-jii who fell and got caught by Tsuna.
He eyed the brunet. "Is he alright?"
"No injuries." Tsuna sighed in relief. "Bermuda!"
Ira gazed back to Pride as the two Sawadas disappeared in a portal while Reborn appeared beside him. "Huh. I guess Tsuna forgave you."
"I'm going to apologize properly when everything is done." The hitman murmured before sighing. "Do you think he'll... You know?"
"He'll punch you once. But you're his best friend so it will be alright." He waved off before gesturing to Pride who has gained his composure again. "Shall we?"
Reborn materialized his magnum guns before he gave his dangerous smirk which Ira couldn't resist mirroring. "Tsuna said if we could trash him, it will be a great gift for them."
"Sure sure." He said before they moved.
(Pride was beaten black and blue that day and got dumped in hell which Ira opened.)
(Jii-jii was laughing his ass out when he discovered that Ira calls him Jii-jii too. The Wrath kept on cursing the world for not telling him that Jii-jii means grandpa. Fuck. He was older than Ietsuna yet he calls him grandpa!)
(Tsuna cried in his arms until he fell asleep out of fright of losing Jii-jii.)
(Tsuna and Reborn reconciled that day.)
(They fought over coffee by the way.)
"Don't even try, Belial." He watched as Tsuna's eyes went orange. "Ira won't get jealous and angry of me or Reborn, or on Skull just because you told him those."
"And why so?" The supreme demon asked, unbelieving.
"Because he knows I love him and only him. After all, he's addicted to my poison." Tsuna grinned before he let go a large amount of sky aura from his being.
Ira never felt so loved and broken that day.
(He did feel good punching the light off Belial before the latter could get away when the Arcobaleno found them.)
Ira breathed through his mouth before burying his face on his pillow as warm tears came down his cheeks and sobs choked him.
Tsuna hasn't woken up yet. It's his fault for being incompetent. How the heck did he become the most powerful Sin when he can't even save the person he loves? Tsuna almost died right in front of him and he couldn't do anything to help. It even took the brunet's effort to get them out of there and signal the Arcobaleno of their location.
Damn. He's so useless.
'Fuck, you're actually crying?'
His head snapped up when he heard Mammon's voice in his head. "Mammon?"
A sigh. 'Why in the hell are you calling me that too? It's Viper. And don't answer that. I know it's Tsuna's fault. Anyway, he's pretty livid.'
He frowned as he brushed away the tears on his cheeks. "Who?"
"Me."
Ira sat up when he heard the voice he longed to hear for the past two months. Tsuna stood at the other side of the portal. He looked wide awake, energized even, well-dressed and- Yup. Angry. His eyes are amber orange with strong emotions of anger, disappointment and sadistic glint.
He looked behind the brunet and saw the Arcobaleno. Bermuda looked almost apologetic with his expressionless face. Verde only arranged his eyeglass on the bridge of his nose. Mammon had his inverted 'V' shape mouth into upright 'V', looking amused and vengeful. (He knew it's about the Mammon thing. He can't help it! Tsuna call him Mammon so he calls him that too.) Lal had her arms crossed while Fon smiled innocently. The very devils, which are composed of Reborn, Skull and Colonnello, were snickering right behind Tsuna.
He visibly paled. If those three are the ones talking, he'll end up being scolded thoroughly. (Don't even start how much pranks he got from them. They're bad influences to Tsuna.)
(Although it's such a good turn on to see Tsuna become so naughty to his fullest extent.)
"Are just gonna stare at me or are you going to come here? Because I honestly can't step there without getting killed by miasma." Tsuna questioned, staring down at him.
"I think he wants to hear what you want to do with him, Tsuna." Colonnello said, snickering. "He's pale."
"What do you think, Reborn-sempai?" Skull queried with a grin.
"What? I'm not the lover here." Reborn shrugged before smirking at him. "Good luck."
"Ira." Tsuna called. "Are you coming or do I have to make Bermuda form a portal for you."
"I-I'm up." He stuttered. He went out of his bed and walked closer to the portal. "Y-You're awake."
"And breathing, dumbass." Tsuna growled before yanking him inside the young man's room. "Next time you fucking doubt your worth on me, consult me first. Just because you couldn't do anything to save me, it doesn't mean I hate you already. Are you dumb? You're my toxicity. We cancel out as we complete each other. I love you, you love me. Got it?"
He nodded in understanding. Damn. Tsuna is really scary when he's angry. Much scarier than Nana. "Y-Yes."
His eyes widened when Tsuna kissed him on the lips and looked at him with adoration and relief. "Good. By the way, welcome home."
His heart warmed with the greeting and he can't help his tears from flowing as he smiled back. "I'm home."
The Arcobaleno didn't leave him alone for two weeks, reminding him all his stupidity. But they didn't mention him crying though.
'Wrath.'
Ira perked up and blinked away from the book he's reading. He's regretting now of why he suddenly took interest in reading when Tsuna handed him a good book. He got addicted.
"Yeah?"
'Come here.' Mammon said.
He stood up from his spot, closed his book as his own portal opened and stepped in the meeting room. The guardians of World Society, except Ganauche, stared at him in surprise and fright. The lightning guardian raised his hands in surrender.
"What?" He asked, raising a brow to the Arcobaleno who looked at him then to Tsuna. "Tsuna."
"Yeah?" The brunet responded, putting an arm on the rest of his chair while angling his body to him. Tsuna looked surprised of his arrival. "Why are you here? I didn't ask for your presence."
He can't help closing his eyes, reaching for his temples and massaged it. "I can't help feeling old whenever you create chaos. I knew it was a bad idea to let you hang out with Skull, Colonnello and Reborn."
"For your information, I got this attitude from you and got nurtured by them. In a sense, it's your fault. I grew up having you near me, remember?"
He kicked the chair, causing the kid to squawk. "We both know you can differentiate which is right and which is wrong between my actions at that time."
"Well excuse me, I admired you. Of course I'll follow every steps you do." The brunet retorted.
"Admired." He repeated, narrowing his eyes. "That's past tense."
"Wait. I think the subject is being changed." Skull whispered to Fon who chuckled.
"Wait for it." Reborn grinned.
Tsuna rolled his eyes. "Of course that's past tense. I admired you in the past-"
"Tsuna-"
"-cause I love you now. Duh."
The room went quiet. The Arcobaleno started snickering when Ira's jaw went unhinged. Tsuna still wore his impassive expression. The guardians eyed Ganauche who sighed with exasperated fondness.
"Are they..." Timoteo trailed off, still shocked.
"Together? Yes. For the past six years and going strong." Ganauche answered.
"No wonder he was overprotective." Coyote muttered as they watched Ira and Tsuna banter again.
"I don't sing." Tsuna deadpanned to him.
Ira laid on the brunet's laps and shrugged. "Who cares. Sing for me."
"Anything?"
"Yes."
"Fine. Don't curse me if my voice breaks or my voice sounds like a frog singing."
"I told you, I don't care."
He watched Tsuna ask permissions from Kawahira, Colonnello and Skull before he started to hum while combing the Sin's hair. He didn't close his eyes. He wanted to memorize Tsuna's features, voice, way of singing and his aura.
He almost died without seeing his life. Without seeing his happiness. Without seeing his love. It scared him. It scared him that he won't be able to see Tsuna for the last time. It scared him that he won't be able to hear him say his name again.
"Just close your eyes, the sun is going down."
Ira closed his eyes.
"You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now."
He took a deep breath as he basked himself with safety of his home.
"Come morning light."
He hoped that he will see Tsuna before he got exorcised.
"You and I'll be safe and sound."
He hoped that before he ascends, he will be able to tell Tsuna how much he loves him.
"I feel so weak." Ira said, feeling himself drained.
"You look like one too." Tsuna said softly, eyes watering.
"Hey. Don't cry." He chided as he reached out and cupped his love's cheek. "I can't hug you if you do."
The brunet chuckled before his smiled with somber. "Remember when I was fourteen and you went to our house in the middle of the night, searching for me?"
Ira blinked at the memory and nodded. "What about it?"
"You were crying that night." The young man placed a hand on his that was cupping the other's cheek and smiled at the memory. "It wasn't about your family, or Zitti being killed. Or you being hurt and given injustice. It was about me discovering the truth about you. You were so scared and unseeing. You won't stop crying and you kept on calling my name and saying sorry for hiding the truth. Do you know what else you told me that night?"
"What?"
"You told me that you want to keep me because I just don't remind you of Zitti or your family. You wanted to keep me because you love how much of a home I am to you. You love how I accept you despite all the things you did in life. Despite all the wrong deeds you did. Despite all the things you've suffered. That I welcome you even though you're Wrath, a Sin, a demon and someone who can kill me someday. That I trust you to help me. I trust you to keep me safe. I trust you to believe in me. I trust you to be always there. And I trust you as you. And that night, I promised you."
He stared at those orange eyes that gazed back at him with love and admiration. "What promise?"
"That I'll love you with my heart and will never give up on you." Tsuna smiled as tears streamed down on his cheeks. And Ira can't help smiling as he cried too. "We both know I don't want to lose you. That we don't want to part ways. But this is for your own good."
"I know." He nodded, not removing his eyes on the brunet's face. "I know."
"I-If the world I'm gonna make will get successful, I want to meet you again, grow up with you again, admire you again, and love you again."
"If you want that, I'll search for you again." He vowed. "I'll stretch my luck. I'll stretch my soul to have you again and love you again."
Tsuna kissed his forehead and smiled at him. "I love you."
He chuckled as he started to feel light. "I love you."
He reached out and kissed Tsuna. He kissed him like his life depends on it. He kissed him until he went completely gone.
Ira breathed as Tsuna took his wrist and caressed the scars in there. His breath hitched when the brunet lifted his wrist to the latter's lips and kissed his scars with his eyes closed in serenity. He can't help his eyes watering as his heart fluttered with affection, admiration and gratitude.
He can't ask for more. He suffered so many times. He suffered in so many ways. When he thought he can end his life and be free with just a single cut, someone came barging into his world, saved him and apologized for being late.
Tsunayoshi Sawada...
With all his delinquent glory and mind full of knowledge, he was the savior he was waiting for. The brunet who was so patient with him and his destructive nature. The one who believed that he never killed his brother and kept on guiding him until he sees his self-inflicted harms as battle scars for enduring his situation, never giving up on life and waiting for him.
One rainy night.
Two differently similar persons met.
Ira can't help the urge to take the brunet's shirt collar and hauled him closer. He smashed his lips on the other's and kissed him to oblivion. Everytime Tsuna tries to pull away to breathe, he chases those lips and attack them again. He couldn't resist flushing his body to the brunet's and slowly grind on him with so much affection causing the other to moan.
He's so deep. Too deep to back out. Too deep to claw his way up. And too deep that he's so addicted and in love and crazy for Tsuna. So crazy that he can't let go.
"I-Ira." Tsuna gasped as he went down to the brunet's jaw and kissed him there. "I-Ira."
"Thank you." He whispered as he went down to the slender neck and pampered it with kisses and bites. "Thank you."
"A-Ah... I-Ira..." Tsuna moaned.
He stopped and moved to see his lover's eyes. "You will never leave right? Right?"
Tsuna stared at him before shaking his head and gave one of his brilliant smiles. "Never. Never ever. I'll stay with you until you say you have enough of me."
"Are you kidding?" He growled. "One kiss on my scars and I'll come running back to you, Tsuna. You're my poison." He thrusted his hips, causing the brunet to bite his lower lip in pleasure. He grinned. "I'll live because of you. I'll die because you. I'll be human because of you. And I'm complete because of you."
He can't help closing an eye in pleasure when the brunet thrusted back to him. Tsuna smirked. "Good. Cause we won't be doing this if you hate me."
"Fuck. I love you."
Tsuna laughed. "I love you."
"Oi lovebirds!" Lal shouted from downstairs causing them to stop. "I sent you to wake up Ira because it's time to eat, Tsuna, not because I want you two to fuck each other!"
"Coming!" Both of them shouted in hurry before scrambling off the bed.
"TMI!" Skull yelled causing the both of them to laugh as they shuffled out of the room.
"It's C-O, not C-U, dumbass." Reborn glared at Skull who flushed red.
"Same difference." Colonnello remarked as the five of them went down the stairs.
"Don't bully Skull, Reborn." Tsuna admonished as he took Ira'a wrist and caressed the scars there soothingly. "Don't be surprised if you found Leon sleeping with us later."
The hitman narrowed his eyes at the brunet who only glared back. "Why in hell did you become my best friend again?"
"Because we have mutual understandings of how fantastic Leon and Ira are?" Tsuna pointed out.
"Point taken." Reborn nodded in consideration as they went and seat on their designated seats.
Tsuna gave them a smile when he got settled at the end of the table and nodded in permission. "Let's eat."
Ira stared at the hand that was still holding his wrist. "Tsuna. My hand."
"Hmm?" The brunet hummed as the table buzzed with noises.
He stared at his lover before shaking his head and took the fork to start eating. "Nothing. Love you."
Tsuna grinned. "Love you too."
