Chapter 55

Arizona's P.O.V:

It's been two weeks since we moved into our new home, and telling Callie I was ready to go back to school. She couldn't be more supportive of the idea. She even suggested that I applied for early acceptance, that way I can start classes this summer instead of waiting in the fall, but little did she know, I had already applied a few weeks before we bought our house and just used Tim and Teddy's address as a mailing address that way if I had gotten any kind of letter, she wouldn't be bugging me about opening it. The only reason I told her that I was ready was because Teddy handed me an envelope the night that I went over to pick up Noah instead of letting her keep him for the remainder of the weekend. So the last two weeks, I've been hiding that letter from her and using every excuse on why I didn't want her help applying. I waiting for the right moment to tell her about it. Sitting at my desk in the office, I pull the folded up envelope from my back pocket and stared at it. Finally, get the courage, I let out a breath, before finally opening it. Holding the letter in my hand, my eyes went wide as I read the first few lines. I got in!

"I did it," I say to myself. I was so engaged with what I was reading, I didn't hear my wife come into the office.

"Did what?" She asks. I nearly jumped out of my seat.

"Shit!" I shout, turning to face her, both hands on my chest. "Christ, Callie, You scared the shit out of me," I tell her, trying to get my breathing under control.

"Sorry," She says, letting out a loud chuckle, "I thought you heard me knock."

"No, I didn't. What are you doing in here?" I ask her.

"I just came to check on you. What's that?" She asks, looking at the letter in my hand. Shit! Realizing I was still holding the letter, my heart began to pound.

"Oh, it's nothing," I lie, shoving the letter into my desk.

"That didn't look nothing." She says, "It's obviously something, I mean, look at how you're acting. What's going on?"

"I'll tell you tomorrow at the party," I tell her.

"Whatever," She scoffs. She just rolled her eyes at me, then left. Slumping back into my seat, I let out a relieving sigh. I'm glad that she didn't push the issue. I have to tell her soon!

"Why won't you tell me," Callie asks, as we laid curled up in bed that night.

"Tell you what?" I ask her confusingly. I looked up at her, trying to understand what she was getting at.

"That paper you had in your hand earlier in the office," She replies.

"Oh, that," I say, letting out a sigh,"I-It's nothing,"

"No, it's not nothing, it's something, Arizona, and I don't understand why you won't tell me,"

"Okay, fine," I snap, sitting up, "I may have done something weeks back, and that paper was just an answer to that something,"

"Answer to what?" she asks. Apparently, she's not going to drop it until I actually tell her what it really was.

"It's was just a letter," I tell her, "Anything else you want to know?"

"Arizona!"

"No, Callie, I told you earlier that I will tell you tomorrow. Why can't you just let it go?"

"Because!" She spits, "I want to know what you're keeping from me. Why the secrets?"

"It's not really a secret, it's more of a surprise," I tell her, "Not just for you, but for everyone who will be at the party tomorrow, so please, can you just wait to hear what I have to tell everyone else,"

"Not really, Arizona, I'm your wife. I shouldn't have to wait to hear when everyone else does, I should be the first to know."

"Fine, if you must know, I got into college, Callie," I say, annoyed. Her eyes went wide.

"What?"

"Yeah, I got into college," I tell her, giving her a smile, "I got accepted for the summer semester, which starts here in a little over a month."

"Ohmy god! Arizona, baby, that is awesome!" She says, connecting our lips together. breaking out lip lock, she just stares at me, her eyes glistening with excitement, "That's why you told me you thought you were ready."

"Yeah, I got the letter that night. When I went over to Teddy's to pick up Noah," I tell her, flashing her a dimpled smile.

"When did you even apply?"

"I applied just a few weeks before we bought, well okay not when we bought it, but when you're dad bought the house."

"Oh..why didn't you tell me you were thinking about going back?"

"I don't know, I wasn't really sure, but I went ahead and applied, I didn't think I would actually get in, I just took the chance. Then when Teddy handed me the envelope two weeks ago, that was when I decided I was finally ready,"

"That's why you kept using the excuses," She says to me.

"Exactly," I tell her, "I hope you're not mad."

"Babe, I'm not mad. A little disappointed, yes, But I'm not mad. What are you going to be studying,"

"Well," I start, "Ever since this sexy hot Latina got me a job with her working in a recording studio, it kind of spiked my interest. I want to produce music with my hot hot wife," After revealing my field of study, a wide grin formed on her face.

"Wow, who would've thought," She says.

"Yeah, I know. Watching how you strike a relationship with the artists, and how you kick ass to get stuff done, I just thought that, I wanted to do the same. I mean, I always had a thing for music but never thought about producing it until you came along. Maybe we could even partner up once I get my degree,"

"That sounds amazing," She tells me, flashing me her megawatt smile.

"I know something else that sounds amazing," I say, leaning in for a kiss.

"What's that?" She asks, connecting our lips once more.

"Making love to my wife,"

After being wakened out of dead sleep, not knowing what had actually woke me up, I darted up in bed. Turning to look at the clock on my nightstand, I noticed it was five in the morning. Feeling a little uneasy, I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and sat up for a couple of minutes, before it hit me. Rushing to the bathroom, I leaned over the toilet and emptied the contents of my stomach.

"Arizona," came Callie's voice on the other side of the door, "Babe, are you okay?" I didn't want Callie to see me sick, so I rested my back against the cold wall of the room. "Yeah, I'm fine, Cal." I lie, trying to cover up the shakiness in my voice. "Just go back to..." before I could finish my sentence, I found myself leaned over the toilet emptying my stomach once more. By that time, Callie must have heard me. She opened the door and saw me bent over the toilet still. "Oh sweetie, why didn't you tell me you were sick," She asks, grabbing a washcloth from the cabinet. She ran it under cool water, then knelt down beside me.

"I didn't want you seeing me like this," I tell her.

"Were you feeling sick earlier?"

"No, it just hit me all at once," I tell her, leaning my head on her shoulder, "I sat up in bed because I felt dizzy, then it just hit me out of nowhere."

"Do you need anything?" She asks, "I can get you something,"

"No, it's okay," I tell her, "Thank you though. I just need to lay back down. Everyone will be here around 2 for the party."

"I think we should cancel it," She says, "They will understand."

"Were not canceling, Calliope. Teddy worked so hard to put this all together, so no, we can't cancel. I'll be fine, really." I say, assuring her.

After a busy morning of prepping, and many trips to the bathroom, the party was now in full swing and we couldn't be happier. Everyone that we invited had shown up. A few of them even brought dates with them, which of course we didn't really mind. There was plenty of space and plenty of food to go around. The one guest that caught my attention was the young girl who Mark brought. Something seemed so familiar about her, like I had seen her before, but couldn't put a finger on it. Standing in the kitchen, studying the young girl, my thoughts were soon interrupted by Teddy.

"Hey, why aren't you out there doing Karaoke?" She asks me.

"Who's that one girl Mark brought?" I ask, ignoring her question. She just stares at me, shaking her head.

"You're checking out another woman? When you clearly have a wife out on the patio, waiting for you to join her?"

"I'm not checking her out, Teds. I'm just trying to figure out who she is."

"Who the hell cares, now come on, Callie is waiting for you to sing with her," She says, grabbing me by the wrist and dragging me out to the patio.

"There she is," Callie exclaims, as I walk out to the patio, "There is my beautiful lady,"

"Umm...don't you mean you're beautiful..Ow.." Mark cries out.

"Shut it, Mark," Callie spits, smacking his arm. She leaned over to whisper in his ear, "We haven't told anyone yet, we're about to do that now,"

"Actually, I'm going to," Teddy says, grabbing the microphone from Callie's grasp. She drew in a breath, then began to speak to everyone. But before she could, a familiar voice came from behind us, letting us know of their presence.

"Having a party without me, huh?" Came the familiar voice. We all turn in the direction of the voice. A big smile formed on Callie's face when she noticed who it was.

"Addie, you made it," My wife greets the new guest.

"Of course, I wouldn't miss the celebration of my best friend's new home." She turns her attention to me, "Arizona, great to you see you, doll." She pulls me into a hug, which I was happy to return.

"Hey, Nice to see you too," I say to her. "Glad you could make it"

"Hey, Addie, glad to see you got my invite," Teddy says, reaching in for a hug.

"Thank you for inviting me, Ted," Addie answers, "So, what did I miss?"

"Nothing yet," I tell her, "Teddy was just about to make an announcement to everyone, so perfect timing,"

Teddy turned her attention back to everyone and began to speak, "Hey, can everyone gather around please," Teddy shouts to our guests. When everyone gave her their full attention, she began to speak, "I just want thank you guys all for coming today, and before Callie and Arizona do a song together, I want to say that the reason Tim and I planned this gathering here at the Robbins-Torres home, was not only to congratulate them on their new home but also to congratulate them on their marriage."

Addison's eyes went wide. Her mouth fell open in shock.

"When the hell did this happen?" She asks, whispering in Callie's ear.

"I'll tell you later," Callie whispers back, with a huge grin on her face.

After Teddy's announcement, everyone started clapping and yelling. Congratulations were being shouted from every direction of the patio. Turning to face both Callie and me, she continued, "Callie, Arizona, I just want you both to know that, I'm so happy for you both. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that you found each other. I know that you both had a rocky start, but you both have overcome that. You have made each other happier than I had ever seen. People say that relationships never last when two people meet in a bar, but I say, the hell with them. I knew from that moment you two had met, that moment I saw you guys singing together, I knew you were meant for each other. Congratulations, you two. I wish you both the best, and many more happiness to come. To the Brides," Teddy shouts.

"To the brides," Everyone shouts.

"Wait, there's more to celebrate today," Callie says. She turns to Teddy, who was giving her a confusing look.

"Callie," I say, trying to stop her, but just waved me off. She leaned over and whispered something in Teddy's ear. Teddy's eyes went wide after what Callie told her. She looks over at me, her mouth in the shape of an O. Now knowing what Callie told her, I gave her a smile, then nodded my head in confirmation.

"Okay, I-um...I had just been given some new information, something definitely worth celebrating also," She says, walking over to me and wrapping her arm around me, "Arizona here, has been accepted to the University of Seattle," More applause and gratulations erupted from out guests mouths.

"Okay, okay, settle down, settle down," Teddy says, chuckling. "Who wants to hear the Brides do a song together? This is actually their wedding song, so not only are they going to sing, but they are going to share their first dance," Teddys states, handing the microphone back to Callie. "It's all yours, ladies."

"You ready?" Callie asks, turning to face me.

"Ready as I will ever be," I tell her, flashing her a dimpled smile. I turn my head to Teddy, and give her a nod, giving her the okay to start the song. As the music starts, I wrap my one free arm around my wife's neck, as she placed her free arm around my waist and we began to sway. Looking Callie in the eye, Blue eyes locking on Blue we began to sing:

"What if I told you it was all meant to be?
Would you believe me?
Would you agree?
It's almost that feelin'

We've met before
So tell me that you don't think I'm crazy
When I tell you love has come here and nowA moment like this
Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment like this
Some people search forever
For that one special kiss

Oh I can't believe it's happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment
Like this

After we finished the first verse, cheers and whistles filled the air. We were too wrapped in each other to even pay attention. Leaning our heads together, we continued to sing:

Everything changes but beauty remains

Something so tender
I can't explain
Well I may be dreamin'

But still Lie awakeCan't we make this dream last forever?
And I'll cherish all the love we shareA moment like this
Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment like this
Some people search forever
For that one special kiss
Oh I can't believe it's happening to meSome people wait a lifetime
For a moment
Like thisCould this be the greatest love of all?
I wanna know that you will catch me when I fall
So let me tell you thisSome people wait a lifetime for a moment
Like this
Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment like this
Some people search forever
For that one special kiss
Oh I can't believe it's happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment
Like this
Oh like this
Oh I can't believe it's happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment
Like this"

After the song came to an end, everyone erupts in cheers and applause. Ignoring them, I leaned in, placing a kiss on my wife's lips.

"I love you, Calliope," I whisper to her.

"I love you too, Arizona.

Callie's P.O.V:

"Arizona, babe, you okay?" I asked, knocking on the bathroom door. It's been a long, tiring day, and all I want is to just cuddle up with my wife.

"I'll be out in a minute," I hear her shout from the other side of the door.

"Are you okay?" I asked again. She's been in the bathroom the whole time I was getting Noah down for the night, I couldn't help but feel a little worried.

"I'm fine, I'm just changing," She shouts again.

"Okay," I say, letting out a sigh. I made my over to our bed and sat down. Grabbing the book off my nightstand, I propped myself up against the headboard and started reading.

"Noah go down okay?" I hear Arizona's voice. I looked up from my book and saw her standing in the doorway of the bathroom.

"Yeah, he's out like a light," I tell her, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm just tired," She says.

"Well, that's to be expected after the day we had," I say, letting out a chuckle, "Honestly, I really don't think today could get any better really. Did you have fun today?"

"Yeah, I did," She says, "Definitely wore me out,"

"Well come to bed then," I say, patting the bed. She ignores my request and just stands there, looking anxious. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, Calliope, I'm just tired," she answers.

"Then come to bed," I say, patting the bed again. This time she obliged and made her way to her side of the bed and sat down.

Letting out a sigh, she asks, "Do you think the four of us will love it here?"

"What?" I asked, "What did you just ask?"

Turning to face me, she asked me again, "Do you think the four of us will actually love it here?"

"Arizona, there's only three of us that live here," I tell her, still a little confused on why she would say the four of us. "But yeah, I think the three of us will."

"Actually, Calliope, it's four," she says, biting her lip nervously.

"Arizona, there are only three of us, but since Addie's in the guest room, I guess we could count her, but other than that it's just.."

"Calliope, I'm pregnant," She cuts in.

*Surprise! Lol Everyone had been asking if Arizona was ever going back to college, so I felt like it was the perfect time to add that in there, not to mention, another baby :) I've been trying to stay with the storyline, but it gets harder and harder as I write the chapters lol Hope you enjoy. Let me know what you think.*
