A/N: This is the last chapter of season 4 part 1. More info at the end.

Badd was sick of being in jail. He was utterly trapped, being condemned for a crime he never committed. A cold bed, angry criminals, and eternal loneliness. And of course, plenty of boredom. What was he to do?

But what got to him the most was how he had disappointed his sister. He could never go to one of her piano concerts again. She was all alone.

"Psst. Hey. Pompadour."

Badd looked up. His hair had not been in a pompadour for a while, much to his chagrin. What also annoyed him was that familiar, jeering voice. None other than Shiromi Torayoshi aka White Tiger was outside his cell, smirking at him. She seemed relaxed as always.

"You?" Badd asked. "How'd you get in here?"

"Now where's the fun in giving away my secrets?" Shiromi teased.

Badd grunted.

"Whaddya want?" he asked instead.

Shiromi tilted her head. "Today's the day, big guy."

Badd made a face. "Ya mean…"

Shiromi kept her face blank. "Yeah. That's right. The bombing is today."

"Listen up!"

The heroes seated around the glowing table turned to Megami. Once again, they were inside Saikou Corp HQ, in one of their meeting rooms. Now that the group wasn't completely associated with the Hero Association anymore, they were allowed back into Saikou Corp. Megami gazed over the occupied seats. There weren't as many people as she had hoped, but there was no time to fret over that. She had enough, and she was heading forward.

She counted the names: the remaining members of the Guardians (excluding Ayano of course, who was still in the dark about everything), Genos, Child Emperor, Zombieman, Umeji Kizuguchi, Kuu Dere, Mumen Rider, Zenko, and of course, Taro Yamada. Megami had been hoping to invite Raibaru and Fureddo, but they had joined the Neo Heroes.

"Today is the day we have been preparing for," Megami spoke. "Today is the day we begin fighting back against the supposed end of all time. Today is the day that humanity makes a stand!"

The group clapped.

"If you are ready, then we shall begin," Megami spoke. "Are you ready, heroes?"

Everyone chorused and clapped.

"Good," Megami nodded. "Then let's-"

"Hold on."

Megami trailed off, staring at the entrance. Flashy Flash had arrived, dragging Speed O' Sound Sonic behind him. Flashy Flash still had scars across his face and a prosthetic arm, but he was going strong. His brow was furrowed.

"Ah," Megami nodded. "So you have arrived, Flashy Flash. Excellent. And I see you've brought along a supervillain."

"I don't want to help you damn heroes," Sonic huffed, shoving Flashy Flash away. "But for the sake of Amai… I'll lend my aid, just this once."

Megami nodded. "That's what we are asking for."

"Aid, huh?"

Everyone stopped. On the screen was none other than Info-chan. Or at least, her silhouette. The computers everywhere flashed red.

"Info-chan…" Megami narrowed her eyes. "You-"

"Hold on," Info-chan's glitched voice was grim. "Before you get your knickers in a twist. I'm here to help you. I've been working with that psycho Yandere girl for a while now. I know everything about her plans."

"'Tis true," Shiromi agreed. She winked at Megami. "Don't worry, she'll help us."

"Is that so, Info-chan?" Megami asked, gazing up at the screen. "Enlighten us."

Kencho grimaced, moving away from the meeting room door. His fists were clenched into tight balls.

Dammit, Megami… he thought. He smirked. Well, you're not the only one who's going to fight back… Father will finally notice me.

He pulled out his phone, dialling Fubuki. "Hey, Fubuki…"

Ayano had finally arrived. She had killed the four disciples, swiftly and effectively. The jail was in sight, and she was there, ready to tear it down. A whole wave of strong people would be completely annihilated, including Metal Bat and Sweet Mask.

But before that, she had to get the bombs. The bombs that she had been wanting to use for a fair while.

The area of receival was somewhat close to the jail. Not close enough to arouse suspicion of course. It was behind hidden walls and trees, where empty trucks were lying dormant. The only other person who knew of Ayano's plan was Info-chan. No one else could know. No one else was supposed to know.

So Ayano was obviously not expecting to see Kuu Dere and Shiromi Torayoshi loading all the bombs into a mini truck and driving away.

"Step on it, Kuu," Shiromi told Kuu, leaning back in the passenger seat. "She's seen us."

Kuu slammed her foot on the gas pedal, driving down the small, bumpy road. She had never driven a mini truck before, but due to her naturally apathetic nature, it was easy to stay calm. On the outside, anyway. The road led past all bunches of trees, going towards a big highway. And of course, none other than Ayano Aishi was on their trail. Being an S Class hero, keeping up with a vehicle was an easy feat for her. She zipped forward, her strings surrounding her. Her eyes glowed a dangerous red.

"Ooh, she looks pretty mad," Shiromi chuckled, nonchalantly. "No pressure, Kuu, but you can go faster."

Kuu increased her speed again, sweaty hands gripping the steering wheel. She shivered, red eyes narrowed.

"Alright, you focus on driving," Shiromi told Kuu. "I'll take care of red eyes over there. No offence, of course." She chuckled and examined a packet of hot, flaming sauce. "She really likes her red spaghetti. Guess we have something in common."

Ayano suddenly appeared on the van's roof. She pulled out a knife, sticking it in the roof. It narrowly missed Kuu's neck.

"Aw, c'mon, pal," Shiromi appeared beside Ayano, clicking her tongue. "Use a more interesting weapon for once."

She squeezed the hot sauce into Ayano's eyes. Ayano bared her teeth, covering her face. Shiromi gave her a good kick, sending her off the van.

"Oh, one more thing," Shiromi held out a metal bomb. "Made this myself, instead of getting it from criminals like a certain coward. Enjoy!"

She threw the bomb at Ayano. She slipped back into the car, the BOOM behind her shaking the ground.

"Never even saw it coming," Shiromi grinned. "But that won't keep her down for long. Keep going, Kuu."

Kuu continued driving. That was all she could think about. She couldn't think about how her ex-friend was trying to kill her. She couldn't think about all the bombs in the backseat. She couldn't think about why Shiromi was so obsessed with sauces. She just had to focus on the matter at hand. Drive, drive, drive.

At least this will help Megami-sama… she thought.

The sirens at the Smelly Lid Prison were going off. Red flashes lit up the entire building. Panicked shouts came from everywhere. That could only mean one thing.

"THERE'S BEEN A JAILBREAK!"

The wardens ran around, prisoners shouting at them. The strong, metal walls had been knocked down; something that Puri Puri Prisoner used to do. But he was not the one who had broken down the walls.

"Pathetic scum, all of you," a voice growled. "Did you think you could leave me behind? I'm still a hero too!"

A large monster was inside the prison, baring its teeth. It shared the same expression as Sweet Mask always wore, but none of his charm. It was completely unrecognizable as a human: a hulking, hunched form, with blotchy, spiky skin, and bloodshot eyes. Its hair was tangled and messy.

"What the Hell is that thing?" Badd asked, pausing to stare at it. He had left his cell behind.

"Ah, Metal Bat," the monster hobbled close to him. "You remember me, don't you?"

"Fuckin' monster," Badd growled, running off. "Just wait 'till I get my bat."

"Monster…" the monster breathed, falling to its knees. It stared at its blotchy hands. "No, no… I have gone too far… all I wanted to do was break out… I have to return to normal."

He grunted, trying to return his appearance to normal. "I'm a pop star, an idol, my fans are waiting for me…"

But nothing was changing. He was still a monster.

"Let us out, ya freak!" the prisoners roared.

"I can't be seen like this," Sweet Mask whimpered. "I… I have to go."

He barrelled through the walls, leaving a trail of destruction behind him. His anguished roars could be heard in the distance.

Badd returned, wielding his trademark metal bat. "Okay, I'm… where'd it go?"

Everyone was too busy running around and shouting to answer. Thanks to Sweet Mask's escapade, the prisoners had been grunted lots of doors to escape. They cackled with glee. The wardens screamed in protest.

"Nevermind," Badd grunted. "I'm outta here."

He turned tail and headed for the exit. The wardens were too busy with everyone else to pay him any mind. Despite his aggressive nature, Badd was ironically one of the more mild-mannered prisoners.

After what seemed like hours, Badd made it out of the jail. He continued running, making it quite far from the jail. He gazed behind him. The thing was going to shambles; smoke trailing in the air, ear-piercing sirens, and people shouting all kinds of curses. Even without the bombs, it was falling apart.

Badd breathed out. "Dammit… finally made it out."

"Big bro!"

Badd recognised that voice from anywhere. He turned around, his beloved sister Zenko running over to him. He choked up, tears trailing down his cheeks. He opened his arms, allowing her to jump up. He hugged her like she was going to disappear at any moment. She returned the hug, burying her face in her shoulder.

"The plan has gone successfully," another voice said.

Badd looked up, noticing Megami, and some other people behind her. Her eyes were cold, but a small grin was on her face.

"You guys are insane," Badd grunted.

"Wait, where's Sweet Mask?" Zenko asked, grabbing her brother's prison garment. "Wasn't he supposed to be in there?"

"I dunno," Badd admitted. "There was a monster in there, though. He kinda looked like Sweet Mask."

Megami breathed out, sharply. "We'll have to deal with Sweet Mask another time. It seems the jail is falling apart even without the help of that Yandere girl. But the good news is we led her away, saving lives. We're making progress."

Everyone cheered in the conquest.

Now, only Shiromi and Kuu need to do their part… Megami narrowed her eyes. Let's hope they can succeed.

Saitama was starting to get rather curious about some things.

First of all, why was his hero name still 'Caped Baldy'? He seriously needed a new hero name. Immediately.

Secondly, where were his disciples? Ayano was barely around anymore. Genos had told him she'd joined some kind of exclusive hero club which took up a lot of her time, which also explained her uniform change.

But it seemed even Genos himself was occupied with things as well. A few months ago, Saitama would've been glad to have his disciples leave him alone for ten seconds. But now? He hated to admit it, but he actually somewhat missed them. He'd gotten used to them always being in his… well, lack of hair, constantly asking for tips about how to get stronger. And now they were suddenly gone. His new, larger apartment felt awfully empty.

Well, he wasn't completely alone. He had a few friends roaming around. King, for one. They still enjoyed gaming together. That Fubuki woman visited sometimes. And of course, there was Flashy Flash. He'd been sneaking around the place, pretending he wasn't injured. He insisted he did absolutely not need Saitama's help.

Saitama sighed, walking through his apartment. Man, why are all the S Class heroes so stubborn? He made a face. Weird how there's no one around today. Not even King. Where's everyone gone?

Lying on his couch, he switched on his TV, deciding to check out the news.

Eh, whatever, he thought. Sure they're just hanging out or something.

"A breakout took place at the Smelly Lid Prison today," a newsperson said, images of the prison shown behind her. "A few prisoners, including a dangerous monster, escaped. Please keep an eye out for an estimated demon-level threat monster."

Man, it seems everything just keeps on getting worse, Saitama sighed, getting up. I'm gonna go get some groceries.

He walked outside his new apartment, going for a stroll around the City A. A local supermarket wasn't too far away, thankfully. Oddly, hardly any people were around.

It's so quiet these days, Saitama thought, walking across the road. Must be everything going-

All of the sudden, a mini truck came speeding down the road. It was headed right towards Saitama, showing no sign of slowing down.

Saitama, of course, kept a complete blank slate as the truck rammed right into him. He simply held the vehicle with a casual hand. Of course, the vehicle's front was instantly destroyed by his hand. A girl on the passenger side peered her head out of the window. She clicked her tongue.

"Bummer," she scanned the front of the car, tone nonchalant. "Our ride's cooked."

"Hey, guys were going way too fast!" Saitama told her. "You could've hit somebody!"'

"We're in the middle of a chase scene, my dude," Shiromi told him. She emptied some ketchup into her mouth. "Oh well. That's why I've got a back-up plan. Come on, Kuu."

"A chase scene is no excuse for breaking road rules," Saitama argued, crossing his arms.

"Wrong, my guy," Shiromi said, getting out of the car. "It's the best excuse. Haven't you seen any movies?"

Kuu Dere emerged from the driver's seat. Her eyes were glazed over, but her arms were trembling.

"Where are you guys going?" Saitama asked. "You can't just walk away from this!"

"We're in the middle of a chase scene, remember?" Shiromi asked. "We've got things we have to do."

She whispered something in Kuu's ear. Kuu nodded, before moving backwards. She began moving away from the van.

"Hey, you should get out of here, bald dude," Shiromi told Saitama. "Things are about to get messy."

"What are you talking about?" Saitama asked. "Are you trying to run from the law?!"

Shiromi just smirked, holding out a remote control. She moved behind a stray building, kneeling down. Saitama was about to go over and question her, when he saw another familiar face.

"Ayano?" he asked.

Ayano was running straight towards the van, face covered in ketchup. Red strings were flowing around her hollow eyes. And then she noticed Saitama. She immediately stopped running, the strings vanishing.

"... Master Saitama," she greeted, falling to her knees.

"What're you doing?" Saitama asked, walking over to her.

"I…" Ayano shook her head. "I was chasing the van. They stole something important from me."

"They did?" Saitama asked. "What was-"

BOOM!

The van suddenly exploded in a fiery splurge of gas, and so did all the bombs inside. The mountains of explosions rang throughout the entire city, smoke spiralling into the air. The road was torn up, debris flying everywhere. Many buildings were destroyed in an instant. Nothing was left but smoke and dust.

"... damn. What was all that?"

Saitama was standing in front of Ayano, shielding her with his cape. Thanks to him, she was completely unharmed. However, his clothes had been burned off. A second time the incident had occurred.

The bombs… Ayano's eyes narrowed. My plan has failed…

"Was that van full of bombs?" Saitama asked, helping Ayano up. "Were those guys suicide bombers or something?"

"Yes," Ayano got out. "They were… trying to kill us."

"Wow," Saitama shook his head. "So many dangerous people out here. Be careful, Yan-chan."

Ayano nodded. "Of course, Master."

Atomic Samurai stared at the corpses of his disciples. They were in the forest, tossed aside like garbage. Wounds covered their bodies. Wounds only a monster could give.

His wrinkled brow creased. He refused to cry. His disciples had died an honorable death. They were heroes until the end. He would not let their deaths go unheard.

Maybe that damn bitch Goddess was right after all… he thought. Dammit… I'll get my revenge. Their deaths won't be in vain.

Megami's meeting room was slightly more full. More heroes had arrived, including some of the remaining A, B, and C Class heroes. Atomic Samurai had made an appearance; his disciples had been slaughtered, and he wanted vengeance. Plus, Metal Bat was there as well, and even some martial artists had appeared. Suiryu had unfortunately joined the Neo Heroes, but Megami still had a sizable group.

She stood at the head of the meeting room, gazing over her army. Heroes, civilians, martial artists; they had all banded together to fight back.

"Our resistance grows ever stronger," she spoke, standing tall. "We are working our way to fighting back. That girl won't have a chance against us. It's not long now."

Everyone cheered.

"Wait, hold on," Umeji slammed his fists on the table. "Why was that Aishi girl even allowed to go to Akademi anyway? Haven't you known she's dangerous for a while?"

Murmurs of agreement arose from the table.

"My father refused to allow me to act against her," Megami spoke up. "He has… reasons for allowing her to stay at Akademi. Reasons I can't go much into."

"That's bullshit," Umeji grumbled.

"But I can tell you this," Megami crossed her arms. "Previously, I mentioned a prophecy given to me by Shibabawa. She stated that a hero would defeat a creature with red strings. And that hero…"

She glanced at Taro. He stared back at her. He tried to smile, but Megami could see the hunch in his shoulders, and the trembling with his arms. He was terrified. Megami had never seen someone so on the edge. She couldn't bring herself to look at him anymore.

"... is me," she declared instead, raising her hands. "I am the hero that will defeat the Yandere girl!"

"You're the hero, Blue?"

Blue nodded, smiling at his own group. The Neo Leaders, his most trusted advisors. They sat around his table, gazing up at him.

"That's right," he said. "I'm the hero in Shibabawa's prophecy."

"But how do you know?" Fureddo asked, making a face.

"He's right," Webigaza agreed. "The hero could be anyone." Even me, she thought, making a face.

"No, it's me," Blue told them, gazing at his strings. "This is what I've been waiting for my entire life. The prophecy could be referring to no one else."

Sweet Mask roared, racing nowhere and everywhere. He had no direction; he just had to hide. Humanity had shunned him, turning him into a monster. He was nothing but a freak. Until he turned back into a human, there was nowhere he could go.

The monster pounded through the forest, shoving past trees. Something was streaming down his cheeks. Blood? Tears? It didn't matter.

He let out a cry, a scaly foot tripping over a tree branch. His monstrous body tipped; he collapsed onto his side. He cried out in pain, but there was no one to answer his call. He was truly alone.

… and then he smelled but cigarettes. The tangy, odorous smoke. He perked up, looking left and right. In the distance, he saw a man. The man appeared to be in his early fifties. He was wearing a salaryman's uniform, and had a cigarette to his lips. He had dark, messy hair, and bags under his eyes.

The man was… familiar, somehow. Sweet Mask had seen someone like him before, but who?

He stood up, monstrous body groaning. He trudged towards the man.

"You," he spoke, voice grizzly. "You have to help me."

The man instantly dropped his cigarette, backing right up.

"Get away from me!" he shouted, holding up his hands.

"No, please," Sweet Mask pleaded. "I am… I'm a human… you have to help me…"

"I'll call the Hero Association!" the man yelled, pulling out his phone.

Sweet Mask roared, his lip trembling. Come on, turn back human, come on…

"Hang on…" the man stared at him. "That voice is familiar… are you Sweet Mask?" He paled. "The one that attacked my daughter?"

"Your daughter?" Sweet Mask asked, staring up at him. Then he understood. "You're Ayano Aishi's father. Muko Aishi."

Muko held out his hands, body trembling. "My daughter… s-she's going crazy. I think she killed my wife. And… I-I don't know where she is now, but-"

"You can help me, Mr. Aishi," Sweet Mask told him. "Your daughter is a killer. She needs to be stopped."

Muko clenched his fists. His body trembled.

"I can't do anything against her," he whimpered. "I'm useless!"

"You're useless if you don't do anything," Sweet Mask told him. "Do something, and you're showing you can still fight."

Muko clenched his fists, looking up. He wiped his eyes.

"You're right," he stammered. "We need to stop my daughter."

A/N: And that's part 1 of season 4 finished. The next part (season 4 part 2) is the final part of the story. I actually finished writing it quite a while ago, so I'm going to update this story more frequently and try to finally finish this. Part 2 is actually the shortest arc of them all, but also the most… climatic. You'll see. But before part 2 starts, I have three last extra chapters to share with you. See you soon for those.
