Note to anyone who reads this: I love every review I get! I hardly get any reviews on anything I post on here, so it's nice to get any review. If you have something nice to say about a chapter, go ahead and say it! I won't be annoyed.
It had been a really rough day for the team. Deeks had been arrested the night before, and it had
been an intense race against time to prove his innocence. When it was all over, Hetty had found out a disturbing truth about Deeks.
'Can you come over tonight? I feel like I need someone to talk to.', Hetty said in a text to Granger.
Hetty's home
'You look down. Everything okay?' Granger asked.
'Just processing some disturbing info, that's all.' Hetty responded.
'Is it about Deeks?'
'Yes.'
'He's not as innocent as he looks, is he?'
'He killed Boyle to protect Tiffany.'
Silence.
'He's still a good man.' Hetty said.
'It's not that I'm worried about. I'm more worried about what his partner will think. Does she know?'
'No. I only just figured it out a few hours ago.'
'Did you talk to him?'
'Yes. I told him that it was his decision. And, that secrets are easier to keep when you're alone. And before you say anything, I didn't tell him to break up with her, I was just telling him what secret keeping has meant to me and my life.' Hetty said.
'Guess it's true for both of us. We both have pasts that we can never fully reveal to anyone. And since most people in relationships expect to know basically everything about the person they're dating, that means our chances of being with someone full time is close to zero.' Granger responded.
'Yes. But, it does get lonely some times. You wonder time and time if someone will love you for who you are. Then you meet someone who feels the same about chances of being with someone as you, then as time goes on, you start to wonder if you're feeling something for that person, and you start to wonder if you'll ever have the guts to tell that person how you really feel.'
Silence.
'You okay? You have a surprised look on your face.' Hetty said.
'Uh. I just remembered I have something to do. See you later!'
The reason Granger looked surprised was:
Hetty either described how he felt towards her, or she described how she felt towards him!
'Is it possible that, she also has feelings about me as well?' He thought.
