Last one for the day!
Enjoy!

Christmas seems to come out of nowhere.
Before I know it, school is over until the New Year.
Edward and I fall into a routine. When his adoptive parents are home, and Charlie is gone (which is six days out of seven), he spends the day at mine. When Carlisle and Esme aren't around, we spend our time at his house.
We're mostly naked when we're together.
Neither of us complain.
Sometimes, little worries niggle at the back of mind; like how Edward seems to keep me away from his adoptive parents when they're home. Sometimes I think he doesn't want me to meet them, and wondering why leads me into a downward spiral of self-doubt and insecurity.
Is it them? Is it me?
But I'm so scared of pushing him, that I keep quiet, enjoying our moments for what they are.
We learn so much about each other, playing twenty questions in bed.
Edward asks me every second day without fail, if Charlie will be home on Christmas Day. I always dodge and deflect.
I don't know why …
Yes I do.
Pity invites. I hate them. It happens throughout the year, my friends ask if I'll be alone for the festivities, whether it be July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas … if I tell them I will be, they give me that look —sad eyes and pouty lips— and then invite me to celebrate with their families.
Though I do have a decent routine. Thanksgiving is spent with Rose and her parents, July 4th is usually a massive party at Alice's.
Christmas this year will be different. Alice and her family are leaving town, visiting their extended family in Minnesota; Rose and her family are spending Christmas on the beach, somewhere warm; Angela's family are super religious, so I'd rather just … not.
I buy myself a small chicken and some vegetables from the store on Christmas Eve, before heading home to wrap Edward's gift.
The small tree I bought last week twinkles in the corner of the living room, the only decoration within the house.
Dad came home a couple of days ago, only staying long enough to hand me a couple of hundred dollars —my Christmas gift.
Edward texts just before midnight, asking me for a window show, instantly cheering me up.
I oblige, of course; dancing around my room in my underwear, stripping slowly.
He calls me afterwards and we talk for a long time, until finally, I can't keep my eyes open.
