Chapter summary: Explosion is fun, helpful and satisfying, Clint finds.

56. Arrow

Clint catches on to Tony's plan in almost no time at all. The smell of burnt plastic and electronics from the bulky phone in Tony's hand is a big clue.

This is a very good chance for him to do some action, and perhaps also to show their jailers that the Avengers aren't that toothless. Hopefully this will help the kind Miss Potts, too.

So, when Tony whistles for Miss Pott's attention in an opportune moment, Clint fits an explosive arrow to his specially customed antarctic-weather bow. And when the charged phone is lobbed at the nightmarish creature's head after Miss Potts has withdrawn herself from the blast area, the arrow is also loosed at one of the creature's many beady eyes.

Both strike true. And, it turns out, not even alien monstrous animals are immune to double explosion, especially after Miss Potts has dealt wounds to it prior to detonation.
