What Did Happen Then? :

The next day the group entered the gym. Kendall was amazed of the size, being that she had never before seen nor been to the VSD gym. Given that they knew the boy's fans could easily interrupt or cause a ruckus even with the gym's policies, they booked a private room, so that things could be more private when training the girls. They were greeted by the receptionists in the lobby and looks from fans as they made their way to their room. Kendall, though admired the gym the whole time.

"This place is beautiful." She commented as they made their way into the room.

"Told ya." Jackie smiled. "One of the best gyms in town."

"Definitely better than Gordie's." Kendall remarked. The others gave her a look.

"You've been to Gordie's gym?" Kick and Gunther asked.

"Yeah…" Kendall had her own look with the topic. Brianna chuckled.

"Something about being at Gordie's gym not appeasing?" Brianna questioned.

"Other than the fact he's trying to find more methods to cheat rather than actually build up some skill." Kendall responded. "He and Ronaldo don't really know the meaning of working out." Kendall remembered. "Ronaldo would focus on his chemistry in the gym while Gordie would focus on his blog, pictures, and any means to win in things…" Kendall explained. "They didn't use the gym really."

"Why doesn't that surprise me?" Mouth snickered.

"Tell me about it." Brianna glanced.

"Yeah, well we all knew Gordie was a cheater, and it's not surprising with Ronaldo, so." Gunther shrugged.

"Either way, this gym is much better, also is way bigger." Kendall concluded.

"Well they add in new features often because of the members and with its huge acreage, and constant remodeling, it's pretty easy for them to be rearranging and reorganizing this gym." Mouth stated.

"Wow that's impressive." Kendall said.

"Yeah that's why we like the gym so much." Kick commented.

"Not to mention with the fact you boys are elite members." Brianna gave them a look. Kick rolled his eyes.

"Although I have to wonder, what's the VSD stand for?" Kendall asked. Kick gulped. Brianna glancing at her brother.

"You know I never thought to ask that." Jackie thought about it. "Now even I'm curious." She was starting to wonder. 'Idiot think of something.' Brianna thought to her brother. 'I didn't think they would ask about the name.' He countered. 'Smooth…' She shook her head.

"I think it's the initials of the owner's name." Mouth came in. "Although no one really uses the letters for his initials, we just use it for the stuff we're interested in." He added.

"Interesting, so he's like Gordie huh, naming a gym after himself." Jackie reasoned.

"Sort of, sort of not." Gunther replied. "He gives a lot to school sports and funds some charitable stuff so people know him, but use the initials for the sports their interested in."

"Yeah like I say Vault, Sprint and Distance." Mouth told them. "All about track you know." He laughed. 'They just saved our asses.' Brianna looked at her brother. 'We owe them.' He added. She nodded.

"That's interesting." Jackie stated.

"Another reason why people like this gym." Kick mentioned. "Now, rather than continue to discuss the name of this place, why don't we get started?" He spoke.

"Okay, but where do we start?" Kendall inquired.

"First things first, stretching, then weights." Kick went over to where the weights were.

"Yeah before we start with the defense stuff, we should start with building up some of your girls' muscle." Gunther added.

"Oh yeah definitely need to build it up a bit." Kick had a small laugh. Kendall glanced up at him with that as her and Jackie were doing some simple stretches.

"And what's that supposed to mean?" She quirked her eyebrow at him, a small smile on her lips.

"Well you both need to wake up some of those muscles you girls don't use." He replied.

"I think that is polite way of saying, we're flabby…" Kendall eyed him, arms folding, although she was joking with him. Brianna snickered.

"You guys are not flabby." Gunther also laughed when Jackie looked at him as well.

"Just need to wake up some muscles is all." Kick laughed. "But not flabby." The girls rolled their eyes.

"Any specific way we have to start with the weights?" Kendall questioned.

"Small." Kick responded. "Work your way up."

"But it's just the first day, so let's not push it too far." Gunther reminded.

"Yeah, we got time here." Brianna agreed.

"So how small?" Kendall went over to the weights.

"I'd say one pound, if we start with five, we'll be feeling that later the higher we go." Jackie commented.

"Got cha." Kendall nodded.

"Do thirty arm lifts on each arm, and like Jackie said go up a pound until you guys feel you need a break." Gunther said.

"Then we can pick up after." Kick added. The girls nodded.

They started off slow, going from the one pound working their way up to fifteen pounds. Kendall let out a breath as she was almost done with her left arm, Jackie putting the weights down.

"Now I know what you mean." She glanced at Jackie. "Where you start really does make a difference." She finished her left arm and put the weights away. "My arms are starting to feel like noodles."

"Then why don't you girls take a short break." Brianna suggested. "Like we said it's just the first day, don't have to push yourselves too much."

"Right." Both said, sitting down, drinking some water, as they relaxed a little. They cooled off for a bit, when a small thought occurred to Mouth.

"Hey, uh, Kends…" He tried to not be awkward as he brought this subject up. "I know this is off topic, but…with your father's fast paced trial coming up…" The others glanced at him, Brianna even giving him a bit of a look. "Are…" He wasn't sure how to proceed to ask the next few questions.

"If you're going to ask if I'm going to be there, I'm not." Kendall replied. Jackie glanced, the others listening.

"I see…" Brianna spoke.

"My father said it's a pretty strong case against him." He admitted.

"Yeah…" Kendall glanced away. "No matter the specialty factors of it…" She remarked.

"Specialty factors?" Kick and Brianna inquired.

"Trust me, when Linnie brought it up, I had no idea what it meant." She informed. "Not that I was in the right of mind to really care really. The prosecutors were focused on all of the many charges, evidence and apparently whatever these specialty factors were."

"Will they impact the case?" Jackie asked.

"Yes and no." Kendall was unsure. "They won't stop the trial or charges, or how much time he can potentially get. I guess these specially factors more or less impact representation on some part, and how he's handled apparently." She explained. "I guess….if I really wanted to know and cared about the whole thing regarding it, I can try and find out. But I kinda just want the case to de done." She admitted. Jackie rubbed her back, since they were close.

"I see." Mouth said. "Do you know the sentencing that's on the line?"

"They told my sister and me, and said we have every right to refute it" Kendall looked down. "I haven't really talked about it much, if at all, not even with my therapist…" She commented. Kick didn't know how to comfort her as she spoke.

"Would…would you try to save him?" He questioned. The others but Kendall, glanced at Kick.

"It's just something I haven't thought or talked about." Kendall confessed. Jackie gave her a small hug.

"It's okay, it's a hard topic. We get it." She comforted. "I mean no one said this was, or would ever be easy." She told her. "But we're here for you and always will be." Kendall finally looked up, a small smile on her face.

"Thanks Jackie." Her voice quiet, but loud enough for them to hear.

"Sorry to bring a tough topic up there Kends." Mouth apologized.

"No it's okay." Kendall looked at him. "Plus, even though I know that they have been trying to keep my father's case under wraps, doesn't mean people don't know about it, you know." She spoke.

"That's true." Brianna nodded. "But, not trying to keep it tough still, did you ever think to bring up anything with Ronaldo since he, well..." She had a look as a few thoughts came to her mind. Kendall let out a breath.

"No." Kendall simply replied. Kick and the others were shocked.

"What!?" Kick was shocked. "Why the hell didn't you bring up that ass to the prosecutors? He deserves to be brought to justice." He proclaimed. Kendall glanced away, Jackie looking at her.

"As much as I agree, let's just say there were a few reasons why I couldn't." Kendall replied. "Not that what he did was ever okay either, but dragging him further into this would be…" She tried to think of the right word. "I guess I just didn't want to keep dragging him into it given that I just didn't want to see him." She figured that would be better to say than anything. Jackie just kept staring at her.

"Kends even I know there has to be something that could have been done." Mouth commented.

"Yeah probably. A restraining order, or something, but like I said earlier I wasn't in my right mind for quite a while and…" Kendall began to respond. "I guess with him, there were just some reasons, though wrong, doesn't mean he needs to be involved any further." She stated.

"I still think he's an ass who needs to get what's owed to him." Kick had a harsh tone.

"Yeah, I mean if you had a restraining order at least it would be helpful for when you go to university don't you think?" Brianna questioned. Kendall had an unsure look.

"Maybe, maybe not." She replied. "Personally I doubt I'll be going to the same university as him, so…" She said.

"Really?" Gunther was a little surprised. "You're not going to go to an IV league, top school or something along those lines?" He continued. "You're so smart, I mean both you and Jackie are." He also had to compliment Jackie, who gave him a look knowing he did that. She smiled.

"I can get a great education with hard work, amazing professors, and going to any university. Just because you have a certain school's name under your belt doesn't mean your education is any better. Trust me." She could think of few people now in her life who were proof of that, one who was about to be placed in prison.

"But don't you think it's limiting your options?" Mouth asked.

"No." She shook her head. "And honestly. I am still unsure of what I want to do with my life anyway, since it was pushed so hard on me to be a lawyer, politician, or some "credible" scholarly business career person." She confessed. Brianna gave her a saddened look.

"You don't want to pursue those careers?" Brianna inquired. Kendall just shrugged.

"Right now, I just want to finish senior year and school. And focus on transferring and picking a university and that stuff later." She confessed.

"I think I can agreed to that." Jackie added. "We don't have much of our senior year left. Plus I kinda want to enjoy it, you know."

"That's completely understandable." Brianna responded.

"Although, Kends, if you did want to pursue something, want would it be." Kick asked. "This being you, no one else pushing anything on you. What would you dream of doing?" He genuinely wanted to know. She thought about it.

"Honestly I really don't know." She replied. "I admit I love music, but I don't know anything about how to write it or make it or anything. Plus I love dancing, although I might not be good at that either." She explained. "But I love writing and art. However, criticize my art harshly when it comes to the designs I do. I love fashion and making clothes, but I don't think I can ever be good enough for anything." She continued. "But…I…I just…I don't know." She said.

"I think you would be an amazing fashion designer." Brianna encouraged. "Plus writing. Hun, you can be both. A writer, blogger, especially of fashion, the whole thing. I think you can do it. And if…that's if, you pursued it." Brianna told her, "I would be buying your designs off the shelves all the time, and reading your stuff constantly." Brianna laughed.

"Same, plus, I think we can collaborate on the art front." Jackie beamed. Kendall also giggled.

"Well, I think whatever you decide to do, you will definitely be amazing at it." Kick commented. Kendall blushed.

"Thanks." She glanced away.

"Although, as we speak of art…"Mouth thought. "And I have to bring this up," The others glanced at him, Brianna and Kick sharing a knowing look as they knew where this was heading. 'Admittedly I still want to know this too.' Brianna thought. "What did you seriously do to get detention back then with your pen?" Mouth looked at Kendall, whose cheeks went pink. Jackie suddenly busting up laughing as this topic got brought up again.
