Dot. Dot. Dot...

The Gryffindor Common Room, Hogwarts

Percy

The race against time (and monsters) began. Each day that ticked away was like a time bomb dropping down. Soon, the day would come. Soon, the fate of Camp Half-Blood would be decided.

And so it would.

"Why aren't the Romans helping anyways?" Percy complained, during one of their evening discussions. They were, like always, huddled at the foot of their bunks, discussing their... problem. Jason just shrugged.

"Who knows? Iris-Messages aren't working, and it would take =quite a long time for Owliv- Olivia to reach Camp Jupiter, but we could try," Jason suggested. "I mean... there is always a chance they'd help fend off Camp Half-Blood for a while."

"Maybe..." Annabeth looked worried. "I'll do it in the morning."

"Good night," Calypso sang.

"Night," Will replied. Percy sighed.

"I should probably get some sleep too," he decided. "And you too, Annabeth." Annabeth nodded in response. Percy was equally as worried. He was frustrated that he couldn't help. This is the best way I'm helping them, he coaxed himself.

**Time Break**

The day finally came. As the last rays of sunlight disappeared into the shortened summer night, the group prepared for battle. (Finally!) Will polished his crossbow, giving it that extra 100% sparkle and glimmer. Nico sheathed his saber. Annabeth uncomfortably raised her drakon-bone sword. "Everybody ready?" Jason asked, readying his own sword.

"Ready," the others called in unison.

"Hopefully," Percy muttered under his breath.

"Good luck," Annabeth told Nico as he disappeared into the shadows. The rest of the group quickly creeped stealthily out of the room.

Very short chapter, I'm sorry!
