It had been a few days since Lillie had been returned home to Kyle and things were still fairly stressful for him. Despite Heath having told the girls what Jasmine said, and them helping Kyle to work out how much Lillie had been weaned onto solid foods, she still wasn't settling for him. It had got to the point that Brax had booked Kyle in for a session with Beckie in fear his brother may be secretly relapsing.

Brax had gone in to speak to Beckie by himself first, just in case Kyle had tried to leave things out so he wouldn't have to talk about them. As much as he trusted Kyle, he just wanted him to stay in a good headspace and if that meant talking about things he would find difficult, then so be it.

"So how have you found the past few days now you have your daughter back?" Beckie asks, carefully watching Kyle's body language.

"I never expected it to be this hard, not that I expected it to happen at all. I thought I lost her for good but Heath had set up a search behind my back. I wanted to be angry at him for it when Brax told me but if he didn't do it, I wouldn't have got Lillie back." Kyle says, lightly smiling.

"What are you finding most hard?" Beckie asks.

"Being able to settle her. She just cries all the time when I hold her even though she settles when some one else holds her. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong." Kyle sighs, not even having Bruno as a distraction as he was in the waiting room with Brax.

"Maybe she can pick up on your stress, which I'm sure you're under a lot of pressure at the moment. Have you been to see a doctor to see if there's any underlying reason that she won't settle?"

"Heath said she was checked over by the doctors as soon as they found her and said she was perfectly healthy with nothing to worry about. I just don't know what to do, nothing I've tried has worked. My brothers and the girls keep saying I just need to get the bond back with her, but how when she won't even settle?" Kyle shakes his head, looking down as he twiddles his fingers together.

"I know you want this to be quick, but it's going to take time." Beckie says.

"They said that as well." Kyle scoffs. "How much time? Is she always going to be like this, where someone else has to settle her, or am I just going to have to put up with it for months?" He asks, clearly getting annoyed that everyone was saying the same thing but not giving him exact answers.

"There are plenty of ways that can help this be quicker. Just spending time with her along can help, as well as feeding times and bed times. If she sees that you are always there during her neediest times of the day, then she'll start to process you being her main caregiver again." Beckie says. "It is going to be difficult, but you've got plenty of support around you which is going to be key in all of this. Accept their help when you need it, and don't be afraid to ask for help. You're never going to alone through this."

"You really think that could work?" Kyle asks.

"It's a step in the right direction." Beckie nods. "Why don't I leave you with that and we book another session in for next Thursday morning to see how much you've progressed?" She suggests.

"Okay." Kyle smiles, feeling a lot more determined to get that bond back again. "Thank you."

"You know where I am if you ever need a session. I'm glad you came to this one, it was great hearing you've got your daughter back." Beckie smiles, seeing him to the door.

"I know. See you next week." Kyle smiles, walking over to Brax and Bruno.

"How'd it go?" Brax asks as he stands up.

"It went well. Thanks for booking it for me, I have a clearer view of things now." Kyle says. "We've got a session booked in next week just check up on things and then hopefully it will be my last again." He smiles as they walk towards the entrance.

"That's great Ky." Brax smiles, glad he did decide to book it for Kyle.

"Come on Lillie!" Kyle moans, having been trying to settle her for well over half an hour now.

"Just remember to stay calm." Heath says.

"How am I meant to stay calm when she won't settle down?" Kyle glares at him.

"She can probably pick up that you're stressed out." Brax says, quickly heading into the flat to see how Ricky was doing putting Emilia down to sleep.

"None of you have this problem." Kyle mutters.

"Do you want a hand settling her?" Casey asks.

"No." Kyle huffs before yawning.

"When was the last time you had a proper nights sleep?" Heath asks, getting a shrug in reply.

"It's a bit hard when Lillie won't ever settle." Kyle mutters.

"Is she like this through the night?"

"No, but I never know if she's going to wake up or not." Kyle lies.

"I think she'd be out of that now." Casey says.

"And how would you know?" Kyle snaps.

"I don't." Casey mutters. "Don't babies start to sleep better as they get older?"

"Yeah, she should be sleeping through pretty much the whole night by now, Harley did when he was her age." Heath says as Kyle goes to sit on the couch.

"Well I'd rather not have her screaming the house down at three in the morning." Kyle shakes his head as Lillie crying starts to slowly get quieter.

"She's getting tired from all that crying." Casey lightly smiles, watching his niece fall asleep in Kyle's arms.

"Great, hopefully she won't wake up again tonight." Kyle says as he glances at the time, seeing it was getting late.

"You knock her out or something?" Brax jokes as he walks back in.

"She knocked herself out, I had nothing to do with it." Kyle says, taking in the peace and quiet. "I'm going to go and put her down." He says, carefully standing up before walking towards his room.

"I thought his session today went well?" Heath asks.

"It did but it's really getting to him that Lillie won't settle for him. Beckie gave him ways to try and get the bond back between them, it's just getting them to work." Brax says.

"They'll have that bond back before we know it." Heath says, them both nodding in agreement as Kyle walks back out, taking a seat on the couch again.

"Why don't we all hang out on the beach tomorrow, with the kids as well?" Casey suggests, hoping it would also help Kyle to bond with Lillie.

"Yeah, sounds like a plan." Heath nods. "There's no sessions booked in, so it wouldn't matter if we didn't open the gym."

"You up for it?" Brax asks Kyle, who lightly nods. "I'm sure Ricky would be up for it as well, so why not." He lightly smiles.

"Great, I'll let Denny know when she gets back from the farmhouse." Casey smiles, glancing at Kyle who slowly fell asleep on the couch. "Something tells me he won't be waking up for a while." He quietly says as Brax covers him with a blanket before they all head to the door to not wake him up.

"I'll watch over Lillie for him tonight, I'm sure Denny won't mind." Casey says.

"Okay, just call if you need anything." Brax says.

"See ya." Heath says as he heads over the house, Brax heading into the flat as Casey quietly goes to Kyle's room to check on Lillie, even though she hadn't long been down. He wanted to spend more time with her now, hating that he hadn't met her sooner. Kyle didn't have a partner to help him like they did, so it made him more determined to be there for him now.
