Here we are at Chapter 46. Now it's time for the gang to go looking for Oscar, and for Megatron to impart some more wisdom to his allies. I do not own RWBY or Transformers. They belong to their respective owners. Here's chapter 46. Enjoy.

Chapter 46: Live your Life

Since they found Oscar missing, everyone went out to look for the lost farm boy. They split into teams of two or three in order to cover more ground. Megatron and Yang head downtown to check there, Ruby and Soundwave went towards the walls while Laserbeak flew over the city, Predaking and Blake went north towards the ports, Weiss and Dreadwing east, and Team JNR went in the direction of the park. As Megatron and Yang continue their trek, they look around for Oscar.

"This isn't good. Of all the times, Jaune just had to flip on his lid and scare Oscar. I know Oscar has come a long way in his training, but he's still just a kid who's never even gone to any academy. He shouldn't be out on his own," Yang worries.

Megatron glances at her, "We shall find him, Yang. It is disconcerting that Oscar left at such a crucial time in our journey to Atlas, but we mustn't lose our way. We're not leaving without him,"

Yang looks back, "How... how are you sure we'll be able to make it to Atlas?"

"Because the moment we give up. The moment we lose hope... is the moment Salem wins. Remember, she wants to take away humanity's hope. That is her ultimate goal. I surmise that Oscar left in order to have some time to himself to process all these recent events. The truth about Ozpin and Salem. Knowing that he'll eventually merge with Ozpin and thus, losing himself in the process. I can understand that to a degree..." Megatron stares off ahead.

"You mean... when you were under Unicron's control?" Yang asks.

Megaton slowly nods, "When my body was under his control, and my mind and spark under his torment, I lost myself in a way. To know that you have your body, but you have no control over it, it can feel like the worst way of losing your freedom, of losing yourself. To a degree, I understand why Oscar must be stressed right now. When Jaune became angry at him, I admit that there were far more productive ways to do that, but to learn that the enemy you're supposed to defeat can't be killed; of course it would make someone angry at how difficult the situation had become. But, we must find Oscar and make sure they can make amends. It is as Ruby said: the only way we can do this... is together,"

Yang is a little in awe at Megatron's words. It makes her smile to see how much he's changed from when they first met and when he told her about his past.

Yang smiles, "Then we'd better hurry up and find him," they walk ahead to find Oscar.

Meanwhile, Ruby and Soundwave continue looking for Oscar in their area.

"Well, we talked with the guards at the gates and they didn't say that they saw someone who looks like Oscar leave, so we at least know he's still in the city. Oh, I hope Oscar's okay. Has Laserbeak been able to spot Oscar from up high, Soundwave?" Ruby asks. Soundwave receives some signals from Laserbeak from up in the air, but shakes his head as he gets a negative from his partner. Ruby sighs, "I really hope Oscar's okay. Soundwave, I don't want to leave without anyone of us. We have to find him. What if he's in trouble? Or if Salem sent some of her goons after him, or-," Ruby starts to freak out until Soundwave silences her with a finger on her lips.

"...Stay calm..." his visor replies Qrow's voice.

Ruby nods and he takes off his finger. Ruby takes a deep breath to calm herself. Soundwave then lightly strokes her head, hoping to make her feel better. It does, but it also makes her feel a little embarrassed as her cheeks turn pink.

"Um... Thanks, Soundwave. We won't be able to find Oscar if I keep freaking out like this. Let's focus on finding him. Let's finish up things here and then we'll reconvene at the house. If we don't find him, then hopefully the others will. Let's go," Ruby suggests, and Soundwave nods before they continue their search.

Off in another area, Weiss and Dreadwing look around for Oscar, but so far have had no success.

"I know this place isn't as big as Mistral, but still, this place is enormous. Oscar could be anywhere. Worst case scenario, he may have even left Argus entirely," Weiss complains.

"I highly doubt Oscar would leave Argus and venture back out into the wilderness all by himself. If he did go anywhere, it would still be somewhere here in Argus. Boats and airships are under heavy guard since Atlas closed its's borders, so I also do believe he'd take a transport somewhere else. We'll simply have to keep looking for him," Dreadwing notes as he looks around.

The mentioning of Atlas brings another thought to Weiss, "Speaking of which... if we do make it to Atlas and see the General, what are you going to do, Dreadwing? You're a wanted fugitive. Even though the borders are closed, if any Atlas personnel found you and knew about you, then Ironwood would never let you out of his sight. I don't want you to get locked up,"

Dreadwing places a hand on his chest and bows his head to her, "I swore that I would follow you wherever you go, Milady. I know you are concerned about returning to Atlas, especially after all the effort you took to escape it. That is why I simply refuse to let you return there without me. We were able to find a way to leave, reunite with your friends, and save Haven. I have every confidence that we will find a way to make this work as well, Lady Weiss. I feel it within my spark,"

Once more, Dreadwing's actions and words make Weiss blush, but smile at the same time.

"Well, then I suppose we'll have to come up with a plan for that. I'm sure Ruby might have a few ideas, but if I know her, and I know her very well, they'll probably all be crazy ideas. But first, we must find Oscar. Let's keep looking for a while longer, and then return to the house to see if the others made any progress," Weiss says.

Dreadwing nods, "As you wish, Milady," and the pair continue their search for their missing friend.

With Blake and Predaking, they search their area, but just like with the others, they are having no success at finding Oscar.

Predaking sniffs the air, hoping to catch a scent of the farm boy, "It doesn't appear like he was here. But then again, there are many unfamiliar scents in this area, which could interfere with that. Argh, I don't understand why he would turn coward and run off when we have an important task to accomplish,"

Blake sighs, "It's not his fault, Predaking. We had more time to process what we learned about Ozpin and Salem, and had more time to see what would happen should we give up in the fight, but Jaune and the others haven't had that opportunity yet. And besides, Oscar isn't exactly like us. We've fought against dangerous enemies time and time again, you even more so, but while Oscar has gotten better in his training, nothing could have prepared him for this. To know that one day you'll lose yourself completely and that someone else will take control of your body, your soul, and there's nothing you can do about it. I believe it would make anyone feel helpless. Besides, we had a choice in this battle. We chose to be huntsmen and huntresses, but Oscar... he never had that choice. Yes, he could've stayed home, but... was there ever a choice to really make? Knowing that not doing anything would lead to many people being hurt or worse. He didn't have a choice in that,"

Blake's words help to calm Predaking down and make him realize that there is much pressure on Oscar's shoulders. Pressure that may be too much for one so young to bear.

"I... suppose I understand. I too have a difficult duty before me. As king, it will be my responsibility to safeguard the freedom and wellbeing of my people; to ensure that they can live in peace. It is something that not just anyone can do," Predaking replies.

Blake smiles, "But you're not just anyone, Predaking. You have your quirks, but it's only because you care about others so much... even if you have a hard time admitting it," she continues on ahead while leaving Predaking frozen by her words.

Predaking at first feels disrespected by her comment, but eventually allows a smirk to show on his face before he catches up with her to continue looking for Oscar.

Back with Megatron and Yang, the pair end up in a park in the middle of the city. They approach a lake in the park, seeing their reflection and a clear night sky from the water. Megatron looks around, and surprisingly finds Oscar sitting alone on a park bench staring out into the water.

"Yang," Megatron nods in Oscar's direction, causing Yang to see the farm boy.

Yang smiles and runs to him, "Hey, Oscar!" Megatron follows as they reach the farm boy before he can decide to run off again. "Where have you been? We've been looking all over for you!"

"You... you've been looking for me? Just you guys?" Oscar asks.

Yang has her hands on her hips, "Not just us, everyone. Even Jaune, Ren, and Nora are looking for you. Heck, Jaune thinks you ran off because of him and now he feels bad about what he said before. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm..." Oscar looks back to the water and sighs, "No, I'm not fine... I'm scared. I don't know what to do. Soon, I'm gonna merge with Ozpin's soul, whether he's here or not, and then I'll no longer be... me. What am I supposed to do with that? I wanted to help, to make a difference, but I wanted to do that as me... Not as someone else,"

"Oscar..." Yang is unsure of what to say to make him feel better.

Megatron stands before Oscar, "I understand what it is like. To have your body taken from you, to have your soul be overpowered by another. I felt that same sense of hopeless when Unicron had taken control of my body and forced my spark to endure unending suffering. But, thanks to the help of an old friend, I was free, and I learned much from that experience. Oscar, you are right to be afraid about losing yourself. It truly is a terrifying thing. But... let me ask you: you said that you wanted to help; is that still true?"

Oscar is confused by his question, "What? Well... yes, I want to help, but-,"

"Then do exactly that. If you run now, then you will regret it for the rest of your life. But, though you will one day merge with Ozpin's soul and become him, that day has not yet come to pass. It may come tomorrow, it may come in a year, but until that day comes, you are still you. You are still Oscar Pine. Ozpin is not in control; you are. So I ask you, Oscar Pine: what will you do now?" Megatron asks.

"Megatron..." Oscar is in awe by his words, and it reminds him of something.

He wanted to help the others. To make a difference in his own way. But, can he really do that by running away and wallowing in his own misery? Especially while the others continue to fight against such a dangerous enemy like Salem? Megatron's words ring true with him. This fate that he has had thrusted upon him; he can't hide from it. He can't run from it. But maybe, there is something he can do about it, until that time comes.

Oscar stands up from the bench, "Megatron... You're right. I can't just run away from this. And while I won't be me forever, I am still me now. So, until that time, I'll help in any way I can with whatever time I have left," Oscar stands more determined now.

Megatron smirks at this, "Good. This battle will not be easy. We're going to need all the help we can get. And that includes yours," he rests a hand on Oscar's shoulder.

Oscar smiles, "Thanks Megatron,"

"Come, we should head back to the house and meet up with the others. They are all concerned about you, as Yang had said," Megatron turns to leave.

Oscar stops him, "Um, actually, before we head back Megatron, there's one thing I want to take care of first,"

Megatron looks back at him, "And that would be?"

A few minutes later, the trio are on their way back to the house, with Oscar now in new attire more attuned for combat instead of his old farm outfit.

"I must admit, the new look suits you, Oscar," Yang gives him a quick look.

"I thought that if I'm going to keep fighting alongside you guys, I should at least look the part," Oscar replies.

Megatron rolls his eyes, "If we're done conversing about battle uniforms, we should focus on what we're going to do about getting an airship to Atlas. The personnel at the military base won't help us, and we can't get in contact with General Ironwood to let us get in. We need a plan,"

Yang and Oscar get concerned about him reminding them of that crucial fact. However, their thoughts are interrupted by a strange sound and that sound is Megatron's stomach grumbling. Yang snickers, while Megatron growls at her, but that doesn't scare her.

Oscar smiles, "How about coming up with a plan while not on an empty stomach? When we get back, I'll make something for you. To show my thanks,"

They head back to the house, but then they return, they find the others waiting for them outside as they just got back themselves, and helping a drunk Qrow get up off of the stairs in front of the house.

"Oscar!" the rest of the girls practically tackle the poor boy before helping him back up.

"You had us worried sick!" Weiss holds her hands together.

"Are you okay?" Ruby worries.

"What are you wearing?" Nora checks out his new clothes.

"Hey guys. Sorry about making you worry. Megatron and Yang found me and helped me get back home. I'm sorry that I made you guys look for me," Oscar apologizes.

Jaune steps between everyone, "It's my fault that we were out there in the first place. Oscar, I am SO sorry about what I said earlier. I was way, way out of line, and I-,"

"No, no, it's okay. These past few days, I've been scared of the same things that you were. But, Megatron helped me realize what's important. I know I won't always be me, but until that day, I want to help you in any way I can. Not as Ozpin, but as me. As Oscar Pine," Oscar stops him.

Jaune smiles, "Good. This team isn't the same without you,"

"Okay, well, how about we continue this awesome reunion inside where it's warm?" Ruby suggests.

Everyone heads inside, with Saphron and Terra heading inside the kitchen to cook up dinner for everyone. Meanwhile, everyone went into the living room. However, Qrow starts to head up the stairs.

Megatron stops him, "And where do you think you're going?"

Qrow stops mid-way on the stairs, "I don't want to get in the way of your celebration,"

Ruby steps up, "You're as much a part of this group as the rest of us. Just sit with us,"

Qrow sighs, "Look, kids, I'm glad you sorted out whatever that was, but the fact remains that we're still no closer to getting to Atlas. The personnel at the base won't help, so we're practically out of options,"

"Actually... I may have an idea about that. But, it's kind of a 'no coming back' kind of plan," Jaune gets everyone's attention. "Only military airships are allowed to leave Argus and head to Atlas, right? So, I was thinking that we... steal an Atlas airship," his idea stuns the rest of the group.

"You want us to infiltrate a military base and steal one of their airships and then escape without them shooting us down and arresting us first?" Dreadwing crosses his arms.

"...How... infiltrate... military base?" Sooundwave's visor goes off.

"That part... I'm still working on," Jaune gets nervous, which doesn't help with the other's confidence in this idea.

Qrow stops them, "Stop! All of you, just... stop. Look, I know you mean well, but if this goes south, it won't be a fight we can just bust our way out of. This is the Atlas military we're talking about here. Please, for your sakes, just drop it,"

However, Megatron has other plans, "I desire to hear the rest of Jaune's plan," Qrow gets ready to retort, but Megatron stops him. "Before you say anything, I say we hear him out. Look, you think we can't do this, but that's only because you're not the one coming up with the plan right now. However, I've never listened to you in the first place. We've had to face harsh challenges in the past, some more dangerous than others, and yet we've succeeded in all of them. We've been on our own without Ozpin for some time now, and I've always followed my own path, even if it wasn't always the right one. So, I say we continue to follow our own path. And if you think you can keep up, then by all means, join us,"

Qrow looks both shocked and awed by Megatron's words, as does the rest of the group.

Maria giggles, "Looks like there's more to him than meets the eye, as are the rest of them. Wouldn't you say?"

Qrow sighs and relents, "Alright, well, what do you have in mind, kid?"

"Jaune, what would you suggest we do in order to get onto that base?" Megatron turns to him.

Jaune rubs his head, "Well, actually, I do have one idea... But, you're probably not going to like it. Especially you guys," he looks at Weiss and Dreadwing.

"Why are you looking at us?" Weiss raises an eyebrow while Dreadwing just narrows his eyes at the blonde.

And that's the chapter. Megatron finds Oscar and talks some sense into him. They then meet up with the others to go over the plan to get an airship to Atlas. However, will the plan go so well? Until then, please Read and Review.
