Chapter 46: Restoring Ai's Memories Part 1

The trio are back at Radiant Garden's marketplace, buying items from the Warner Siblings' shops. Before they leave, they decided to visit Gogo's ice cream shop.

Gogo: I did it! I recreated sea salt ice cream!

Dizzy: Oh boy! Ice cream!

Gogo: You want some?

Sora: Yeah!

Sora pays for the ice cream. Gogo gave the trio some sea salt ice cream. The trio took a bite from it.

Dizzy: Wow! It salty, but sweet! Dizzy love it!

Sora: Thanks for the ice cream, Gogo!

Gogo: Come back anytime!

The trio said good-bye to Gogo and starts heading down to the borough.

Sora: We should head for Mumbo's House.

Plucky: And why's that?

Sora: I have the torn pages for his book. I can see Ai and her friends again.

Plucky: Then me and Dizzy can play poker with Mumbo and Wumba again.

Dizzy: This time, Plucky better not cheat!

Plucky: I won't this time. I wouldn't wanna get turned into a frog again.

The trio enters Mumbo's House. Mumbo and Wumba are inside.

Mumbo: What bring boy to Mumbo's House?

Sora: We found the torn pages.

Wumba: Very good, boy. Return pages to book.

Sora walks up to the book and opens it. The bright light swallows Sora in. Plucky and Dizzy walks up to Mumbo and Wumba.

Plucky: Wanna play poker again?

Mumbo: This time, duck better not cheat.

Wumba: We watch duck this time.

Plucky: I guess there's no way out of this.

Sora returns to Animal Village and starts looking around for Ai. She was talking to an angry brown mole with a pickaxe, wears a yellow helmet with a light on it, and blue overalls with a white shirt under it.

Mole: What's wrong, girl?

Ai: I was just thinking...and wondering.

Mole: You should scram outta here!

Ai: Why?

Mole: Why? Because it's Windsday, of course!

He went back in his hole.

Ai: Windsday? Oh, then happy Windsday! I think I shall wish everyone a happy Windsday! Let's see now. Who is "Everyone?"

Back with Sora, he is walking down the road, as the wind was blowing behind him. A basket hits Sora from behind.

Sora: OW! Wonder if Ai's here...

Suddenly, a female blue cat wearing a dress with pink and purple diamond shapes came flying through the air.

Cat: Help! Somebody save me!

Sora: Rosie!

Rosie lands on a tree branch.

Rosie: Sora! Help me! Please!

Sora: Hold on, Rosie! I'm coming!

Sora climbs up the tree and puts Rosie down to the ground.

Sora: Are you OK?

Rosie: I'm fine. Thank you, Sora.

Rosie then saw someone coming.

Rosie: Here comes Ai.

Sora saw Ai coming as well.

Sora: Ai, you're alright!

Ai: Hello. It's nice to meet you. Happy Windsday.

Rosie: Nice to meet you? But, Ai. It's me, Rosie. Don't you remember me?

Sora: And me too? We're friends!

Ai: We are? I'm sorry, but I can't remember.

Rosie: Oh, Ai...That's v-v-very sad!

Rosie starts walking away in tears, but then another strong wind blows her away.

Rosie: Good-bye, Sora! Good-bye, Ai!

Sora: Rosie...

Ai: Oh my. That looks really fun, doesn't it?

Suddenly, an old turtle with a long white beard and cane and wears a top hat and glasses appears.

Turtle: I say, it seems we have a rather serious predicament.

Sora and Ai turns to the turtle.

Sora: Hi, Tortimer. How are you doing?

Tortimer: I'm fine. Would you mind going after poor Rosie?

Sora: I'll get her!

Ai: Don't forget about me!

Tortimer gave Sora a balloon to fly. Ai climbs on Sora's back and they started going after Rosie. Sora uses his Keyblade to destroy some rocks and baskets along the way and uses the gust of wind to draw in the boulders to destroy. Suddenly, the wind blew Sora up in the sky and some stumps came after him, but he destroys them easily. The wind later blew him back down and some more boulders came after him. Some of the boulders hits him, making him almost lose Ai, but he got her and destroyed some more boulders. Eventually, he reached Rosie and grabs her. He starts flying back down, but then Rosie got stuck in the tree branch again. Sora and Ai lands back on the ground.

Sora: Jump down, Rosie! I'll catch you!

Rosie looks down, but was to scared.

Rosie: Oh, d-d-dear...

Sora: You can do it, Rosie! You just have to be brave!

Rosie looks back down to Sora.

Rosie: Sora...Alright. I'll t-try...

She puts her paws over her eyes, jumps down, and lands on Ai.

Ai: Oh, that was rather frightening. I do hope you're alright, Rosie.

Rosie: Oh, Ai. You remembered my name? You really, truly remembered?

Ai: Of course, Rosie. But today, I shall call you "my friend Rosie, who is very brave!"

Rosie: Me? Very brave? No...But it's easy to be brave when I have a wonderful friend like you, Ai.

Sora: I'm happy for you guys!

Ai: Oh, and thank you for rescuing my friend Rosie...Somebody-I-Don't-Know.

Sora: Oh...Uh...Sure. Don't mention it.

Sora starts walking around the village until he came across a house called Nook's Cranny. There is also a garden in front of the house. Suddenly, Sora sees Ai riding in the air with a balloon. Suddenly, the balloon starts descending on a pile of sticks being built by a white elephant wearing a pink shirt with yellow flowers on it.

Rosie: Margie, look out!

Sora: Come on!

Ai lands on Margie's pile of sticks. The balloon flew up in the air. Sora ran up to Ai.

Sora: Margie, Ai, are you OK? That's too bad, Margie. After all that work...

Margie: No big deal. I can always build another stack.

Rosie: I'll help you fix your house, Margie.

Margie: Hello, Rosie. Thanks for the offer. Wouldn't wanna spoil your fun day now, would I?

Ai stood back up from the pile.

Ai: Well, hello, Rosie. And hello, Somebody-I-Don't-Know.

Sora: Ai, this is Margie. You know Margie, don't you?

Ai: Um, I do?

She stood there thinking.

Sora: What could've happened to him?

Suddenly, Ai's tummy starts to rumble.

Rosie: Oh, I have an idea! Maybe Ai's tummy is so rumbly that it's making her forget. If we bring her some food, she's sure to remember!

Sora: Well...I guess it's worth a try.

Margie: Maybe it'll work. Maybe it won't.

Sora: First we gotta find some food.

Sora looks around for some food.

Margie: If food's what you're looking for, I know just the place. Follow me.

Everyone follows Margie to the other side of Nook's Cranny, where a brown raccoon wearing a blue apron appears to be stacking up baskets with fruits inside them. Besides him are two smaller raccoons also wearing blue aprons.

Raccoon 1: Splendid, just splendid.

Raccoon 2: Now we need one more pile, Uncle.

Raccoon 3: We need to go back to the woods.

When the three raccoons walked away, the gang arrives and found the baskets.

Margie: This is the place I told you about.

Sora: Wow! Look at that.

Ai walks over to the baskets.

Ai: How yummy for my tummy!

Rosie: But don't those fruits belong to someone?

Ai: I bet someone won't mind if I take a few bites.

After a few minutes, Ai ate up all of the fruits in the baskets. The racoon and his nephews returned with another fruit basket.

Raccoon 1: Oh no! My fruit baskets! Ai, did you eat all my fruits?

Ai: Oh, hello. It's nice to meet you.

Raccoon 1: What did you say?

Ai: Is that for me too?

Ai walks over to the raccoon, took the fruit basket from him, and starts eating it. The raccoon looks down in sadness.

Racoon 1: Oh, I was sure I'd found a safe place for it too...

Raccoon 2: I knew that spot wouldn't be safe, Uncle.

Raccoon 3: We should've found another spot, instead.

Sora: Sorry, it's our fault. We brought Ai here.

Raccoon 1: Oh, hello, Sora...It's good to see you again.

Sora: Same here, Tom Nook...We really are sorry.

Tom Nook: It's quite alright. I know Ai can't be stopped when she gets hungry.

Sora: Who are the two raccoons with you?

Tom Nook: They are my nephews.

Raccoon 2: Hi, I'm Timmy.

Raccoon 3: And I'm Tommy.

Sora: Nice to meet you two.

Ai finished the basket and stood up.

Ai: Pardon me, Somebody-I-Don't-Know. Is there any more?

Tom Nook: Are you feeling alright, Ai?

Timmy: Could you really have forgotten all about us?

Tommy: What on earth is going on?

Ai: Is there more fruit? You see, my tummy's rumbly.

Tom Nook: That's it! She's so hungry, she can't remember a thing!

Rosie: Oh, we thought that too.

Tom Nook: Then let's stuff her full of fruit!

Rosie: I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Sora: But I thought Ai ate all your fruit, Tom?

Tom Nook: Oh, I've got more.

Timmy: We have emergency rations.

Tommy: But we hid them a bit too well.

Sora: I'll go look for them.

Tom Nook: They are right down the hill there.

Tom Nook points to the hill that leads downward. He gave Sora a sled and Ai jumps on his back. They went sledding down the hill, collecting alot of fruits. Suddenly, they went up the slope and went through a portal that takes them sliding across the pages of the book. They are still collecting alot of fruits across the pages. They went down another portal that takes them to a snowy mountain. Suddenly, they got chased by a giant snowball, as they are sledding downhill, collecting fruits. Suddenly, the giant snowball caught them and went up a slope that takes them flying from one page to another page. The snowball lands on a mountain and frees Sora and Ai, as they sled down another mountain, collecting more fruits. They continued sledding downhill until they reached the finish line. They returned to Tom Nook and the rest of the gang with alot of fruits.

Tom Nook: There now, Ai. Have just as much as you'd like.

Ai: Why, thank you.

Ai ate through a bunch of fruit baskets for a few minutes. After finishing all the baskets, she turns to the gang.

Ai: Pardon me, Kind Somebody, but do you know where I might find another pile or two of fruits.

The gang sighs in disappointment. Ai walks over to the side of Nook's Cranny with a hole in it.

Ai: My tummy seems to be telling me there's some fruit right in there.

Ai crawls in the hole, but got herself stuck.

Ai: Oh no! I'm stuck!

Tom Nook: She still doesn't remember. What in the world has gotten into Ai?

Sora: Whatever it is, we'd better help her.

Rosie: Yes, and quickly too!

Ai: Oh, stuff and fluff!

Sora starts pulling on Ai's legs, with everyone else forming a line.

Sora: One...Two...Three!

Sora pulls Ai out and she lands on the ground safely.

Sora: You're OK now, Ai.

Tom Nook: Well, I wouldn't be so sure of that if I were you.

Timmy: Why, just look at her! She doesn't even remember who we are.

Tommy: Perhaps it's all this blustery wind, or maybe she actually needs more fruits, or she's sleepwalking and dreaming!

Ai: Well, if I'm dreaming, which I suppose I could be, I hope that I get to the part where you invite me to lunch again very soon, Tom, Timmy, and Tommy Nook.

Tom Nook: That's right, you're always stopping by for lunch!

Tom Nook and his sons gasped at what Ai called them.

Tom Nook: Wait! Ai! You called me "Tom!"

Timmy: And you called me "Timmy!"

Tommy: And you called me "Tommy!"

Ai: Well, of course, Tom, Timmy, and Tommy.

Rosie: What about Margie? Do you remember Margie too?

Ai saw Margie next to Rosie.

Ai: Oh, hello there, Margie. It's ever so nice to see you today.

Margie: Thanks for remembering me, Ai.

Sora points himself to Ai.

Ai: And hello to you too, Somebody-I-Don't-Know!

Sora sighs in disappointment.

Sora: Well, at least you remember Tom Nook and Margie now.
