After leading their protest for a few hours, the Loud kids realized their efforts were going nowhere.
Lori addressed them, "okay. We need a new approach."
"Yeah," agreed the other nine.
Lincoln asked, "where are Mom and Dad anyway?"
Rita had finally agreed to solve a jigsaw puzzle with Lynn Sr. Even Lily was helping.
The other ten Loud siblings rushed into the room.
Luna shouted, "we demand payment for our chores."
Rita said, "sorry. It doesn't work like that."
Most of the Loud siblings were discouraged, but Lori doubled down. Lori picked up the boxes of all Lynn Sr's puzzles. "If you don't meet our demands, we will hide 10% of the pieces to each puzzle. You will never be able to solve them again."
Lynn Sr panicked, "fine. You can be paid for your chores." He began to cry. "Just don't hurt my puzzles."
The Loud siblings happily left the room.
Rita asked Lynn Sr, "wouldn't it cost less money to just buy new puzzles?"
"You don't understand, Rita," he said sniffling, "you don't understand."
