Tsunade's Office

Daichi stood across from Tsunade who had read over his report. "Everything seems standard; however, I do have one question. What do you make of this orange Sharingan?"

"Honestly, I'm unsure." Daichi stated. "My gut instinct tells me it's a Sharingan, but the Uchiha were wiped out except for two, right?"

"That is what the reports of that night say." Tsunade shook her head. "Regardless, another successful mission Daichi. If you have nothing else to discuss, you may go home."

"Actually, there are a couple of things on my mind." Daichi stated.

"I'm listening." Tsunade stated.

"I'll cut straight to the chase. Neji Hyuga never should have abandoned the village, but I can't fault his reason for doing it. The fact is, there is a rot that's been there for years. Danzo Shimura. He's not the sole reason for the Uchiha Massacre, but I've done my research.

Beyond him, the way the village operates shows massive flaws. Flaws that other enemies, like The Akatsuki and Orochimaru, can exploit. Quite frankly, if something isn't done, I theorize that Danzo will tear this village apart leaving us extremely vulnerable."

"I can't say you are wrong." Tsunade nodded. "We also must consider the Cloud and Stone Villages. I have no doubt that word of our growing forces and more amicable relationship with the Mist and Sand worry them. Tell me, why have you brought this up?"

"Danzo's power was considerably affected when I defeated Kuroma, and we both know he's the leader of his own sector of Anbu." Daichi stated. "No matter how poorly I view the old war hawk, I don't doubt he's been training soldiers."

"While we shouldn't do the same, our village needs to be ready to protect ourselves. Even if he never acts, other threats will come knocking. I'm not saying what I'm going to suggest will stop any of us from dying, but perhaps it'll lessen the casualties we could suffer."

Tsunade leaned back in her chair. "Go on.

"As I'm aware, you have yet to form a new Civilian Council which means the Shinobi Council has all the power. Considering who we have as clan heads, young, old, and outsiders, I believe we can make changes to improve our Shinobi forces.

In addition, the Fusion Clan's going to change. I know everyone wants my bloodline limit to flourish, but that hasn't worked in over three generations of Ryu men. To facilitate a better clan, we will focus on swords and the dragon summons allowing for an inclusive clan.

"I have to admit, you'd put some serious thought into it." Tsunade smiled. "I think we can hold a council meeting tomorrow. I'll get to work arranging it. As for now, you may leave."

"Yes, Lady Tsunade." Daichi stated.

Council Meeting Room, Next Day…

Daichi walked into the familiar room to find that every clan head had arrived. Shibi, Chouza, Hiashi, Tsume, Unkai, Shikaku, Asuma, Sasuke, Tayuya, Shizune, Inoichi, and Tomiko. The Fusion leader walked on over and took a seat.

"All of you know why you are here." Daichi stated. "Before we get to that, I believe we must address something any grievances you may have against certain Clan heads. That is why we are going to air all the grievances."

"I mean no disrespect to the Soshi Clan, but I believe it is a little too soon for them to be included in matters of the village." Shibi calmly voiced. "They may have been prisoners, but they were still under Orochimaru."

"The same can be said of that Uzumaki girl over there." Unkai voiced with far more aggression. "It wasn't that long ago that she served Orochimaru as one of the Sound Four. How can we be sure her loyalties lie with the village?"

"I have nothing to do with that snake anymore." Tayuya had stood and spoke with venom in her tone. "If I ever see him again, I will either kill him or die trying."

"That's enough!" Daichi shouted. "Tayuya, I understand your frustration, and I intend to speak in defense of those who are here; however, we must conduct ourselves civilly." He looked at every clan head. "I mean every one of us. Now, do any of you have anything more to add?"

Daichi waited a few minutes, but no one had anything to say. "Then allow me to put your grievances to rest starting with the Soshi Clan. They may have been held prisoner by Orochimaru, but you all recognized them as an official clan in the last meeting.

If we begin to pick and choose the rights clans are extended, then where will it end? In addition, they are currently paying their dues in the form of a probationary periods. From the few reports we have, it sounds as though there are no complaints on their end.

This speaks volumes of their characters. As for Tayuya, she was an unwilling pawn. She is now a loyal Leaf Shinobi and one of the last Uzumaki. Might I remind everyone that the Uzumaki Clan once shared powerful ties with the Leaf Village.

Our first Hokage's wife was an Uzumaki. Now, if you are still unwilling to work with these people, you may leave. People who can't separate a person's character from their past mistakes have no right to be here."

Daichi waited for someone to leave or speak up; however, no one said anything more on the subject. Whether it was because they accepted or couldn't find a good way to rebuke him didn't matter.

"Since no one has anything more to say, we shall begin." Daichi declared. "This meeting was called to create a proposal meant to strengthen our Shinobi. "To put it simply, the future we are heading towards is one of uncertainty. Rouge ninja are beginning to appear more frequently.

Orochimaru, one such rouge, attacked the Leaf Village not too long ago costing us the lives of friends and family. We can't be certain if or when he'll attack again, but we know he has apprentices. His first is Kabuto Yakushi who managed to fight our current Hokage.

The second is Hebihime who knows Sage Mode. It's imperfect, but it was more than enough to fight Kakashi Hatake and Zabuza Momochi at the same time. To further the discussion, I have been permitted to speak of the Akatsuki.

They're a band of S ranked rouge Shinobi that practically every village has hired at one point or another. According to information from Lord Jiraiya himself, those times seem to have ended. Their goal is to capture the Tailed Beast and kill people like me."

"What do you mean by people like you?" Sasuke inquired.

Shikaku asked, "Do you mean clan heads?"

"I'm not sure what people like me are called." Daichi took a deep breathe. "All I know is that my grandfather, father, and myself have held the Chakra of someone or thing named Kenshi. I suppose that makes me a Pseudo Jinchuriki thinking on it."

"You're a what?!" Unkai asked.

"I'm basically a Pseudo Jinchuriki." Daichi stated. "From what I can gather, my grandfather had some being sealed within him, but the seal used was unlike the ones used on the tailed beast. Kenshi is within everyone who descends directly from my grandfather.

It's the reason my family has fusion clones to begin with. The Akatsuki are as much or a greater threat to this village than Orochimaru himself. We currently only know of two members, Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshigaki."

Discussion broke out in the room with only a select few, Sasuke, Tayuya, Genyumaru, and Hiashi, staying quiet. Of course, these conversations might have taken a different turn if Daichi had mentioned Danzo, but he agreed with Tsunade that it would be a bad idea.

The Fusion leader banged his hand on the table getting everyone's attention once again. "Please settle down. No matter what you may think of the Nine Tails or I, our first Hokage, nay the world, knows the importance we play as military pieces on the board.

Turning us over is not a solution hence why this meeting was called. We must create a proposal our Hokage and get behind. Something that will strength Konoha for the future threats we will face, so the floor is open."

"Lady Tsunade has often pushed for every team of Genin to have a Medical Shinobi." Shikaku stated. "I tend to agree as Medical Ninja would reduce casualties."

"In theory, it's a valid idea, but theory rarely holds up in application." Sasuke voiced.

Shikaku knew it didn't, but this was for the sake of getting the conversation going. "Mind elaborating?"

"Not every team is created in a way where Genin have skills befitting a medic." Sasuke explained. "No matter how much you may try to make it fit, there's no guarantee every graduating class will be able to form teams like that."

"Very apt points." Daichi stated. "I have a point of my own. When you and I were in the Land of Waves, Zabuza was at deaths door. It was only thanks to our Sensei having copied the Mystical Palm Jutsu that he's here now."

"That is an apt point." Shikaku stated. "I believe I have a compromise. Let's try to get some youngsters into Medical Ninjutsu early. We can find those willing to learn and encourage them at the academy level.

Teach them some of the most basic techniques to give them an understanding and show them some of the more combat oriented techniques. Those that can't learn it, but still have an interest, can be taught how to use medical supplies as a substitute."

"It would cull our casualties on the field." Tsume agreed. "The problem is that we'd need a dedicated teacher on staff to really make this work."

"Leave that to me." Shizune spoke up. "I'm already an inactive Shinobi within in the village, so I might as well apply my time in a constructive. I'm already a clan head, but I think I can balance that well with the duties of a teacher."

"It's not a bad idea." Chouza stated. "She is the personal student of Lady Tsunade, so the only one more qualified for such a role would be Tsunade herself."

"Don't forget that more medics is something Lady Tsunade can get behind." Shizune stated. "I'm certain she'd pay attention to any experienced Shinobi learning from the Medical Corp. If they show promise, she might scoop up some students herself."

"I believe we have discussed this topic long enough." Daichi looked around the room. "All those in favor say I."

Everyone spokes as one. "I."

"Since we're on the topic of improving the village's strength, I'd like to move that we reinstate Konoha's police force." Unkai stated. "This village has gone on long enough without laws and rules being more enforced."

"It's not a bad thought." Inochi stated. "With active Shinobi protecting the village inside, we could react better to invasions." He looked at the Kurama leader. "Who do you suggest we get to run the force?"

"Originally, it was the Uchiha who ran the whole show, so I see no reason why the Kurama Clan can't pick up where they left off." Unkai stated. "Our Genjutsu may not be on par with what they could do, but we are the next best option."

"I believe the police force would benefit more if they were one force comprised of Shinobi from all walks of life." Hiashi stated. "Not ever Shinobi you face will have Genjutsu after all."

"You honestly think other clans are up to the task of being in a police force?" Unkai asked.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Tsume asked. "The Inuzuka Clan has ninja hounds which are perfect for tracking."

"Our insects can act as restraints." Shibi interjected.

"The Hyuga are on par with the Uchiha in terms of combat prowess." Hiashi added.

Tayuya said, "Once we delve into seals, the Uzumaki can create better cells."

"There are many in this village who could do wonders in the police force." Daichi stated. "Plus, this village is meant to act as one, so it only seems fair that the force be made with this concept in mind."

Shikaku spoke up. "If we really want to make an inclusive force, every clan should be able to offer a Shinobi with an equal number of spots open to Shinobi not in a clan to keep balance. Among that group, they should decide their own chief rather than being assigned one."

"Since you're doing this, I'd like to add something." Sasuke stated. "The legacy of what the force was shouldn't be sullied by Shinobi that can't do the job. If you're a Genin, you can't join, Chunin will need to take a test administered by five members, and Jonin are already proven."

"Not a bad suggestion." Daichi stated. "Does anyone have anything more to add?" No one spoke up. "Alright, all those in favor."

Everyone, but Unkai, spoke. "I."

"Those opposed?" Daichi asked.

"Nay." Unkai declared.

"The I's have it by a majority." Daichi added to the official proposal.

Once he was done, Unkai spoke up again. "I think we shouldn't allow civilians to become Shinobi."

That one statement caused practically everyone to stare at that man.

"Where do you get off saying such things?" Asuma questioned. "Just to name a recent example. If civilians couldn't become Shinobi, we'd never have learned Sakura Haruno had Senju blood."

"Might Duy, Might Guy's father, was a civilian." Chouza declared. "While he was an eternal Genin, that Genin was able to take on the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. In the process, he protected invaluable Shinobi to the present."

"For every point you make, there are counter examples." Unkai stated. "Anko Mitarashi was easily persuaded by Orochimaru to abandon the village while Orochimaru himself is one of our greatest enemies."

"Jiraiya and Kazamae also come from civilian families, yet they're some of the strongest Shinobi this village has produced." Shikaku stated.

"It's not like Shinobi from civilian families are the only problematic ones." Sasuke was thinking of a certain person that still made him angry, but he was keeping himself under control. "My own brother, an Uchiha and prodigy, wiped out a sizable portion of the Shinobi forces."

"I think it's quite evident you stand alone on this point Unkai." Daichi stated. "To make it fair, we'll put it to a vote. All those in favor of adding Unkai's suggestion to the proposal?"

"I." Unkai stood by his decision.

"There you have it." Daichi declared. "We will not turn away potential talent just because they don't come from a clan or Shinobi family. If anything, we lose out on potential because civilian families can't train their academy kids properly.

That is why I offer a different solution. Ebisu is a special Jonin that specializes in training elite Shinobi. I say we put his talents to better use by assigning him to the academy. He can work with the teachers to revise the current lessons."

"That makes sense." Tomiko stated. "If things have worked as you said, then the disparity between civilian raised kids and clan kids is large. That negatively impacts the force. The two sides of the coin should work to bolster each other. One improves and the other does to."

"I agree." Sasuke stated. "If this Ebisu is as good a trainer as they say, he should catch onto the fan girls easier. With his guidance, they'll either be dropped or improve."

Everyone, except Unkai, agreed, so Daichi added it to the proposal. "Does anyone have anything more to add?" No one spoke up. "Well then, we're almost ready to call this meeting to a close; however, I have two more points to bring up."

The first is that we should encourage Jonin without Genin teams and special Jonin to search for apprentices among the Chunin and Genin. I'm not saying we force them, but they could have a look for themselves. Secondly, I believe all of us should look for ways to improve our clans."

"What do you mean Daichi?" Hiashi asked.

"Simply put, if this proposal goes through, civilians raised children will become stronger. If we don't keep growing, we'll stagnate themselves. If we really want our forces to be the best they can, we must look within."

"I agree with Daichi." Sasuke stated. "When you're the last of your clan, you start to notice a trend with history. The Clans became complacent. While we are powerful in our own rights, it's not enough. It's only a matter of time before we are overcome."

With Sasuke's backing, Daichi's words reached the entire room. Everyone consented to adding those last bits into the proposal, and once it was done, the Fusion leader looked at the thoughtful faces of the clan heads around him.

"I call this committee to a close." Daichi declared. "Even if Tsunade turns down this proposal, I'd still share this information with your clans." He stood. "If you'll excuse me, I'm going to deliver this scroll to Lady Tsunade." He left. "Good day."

Tsunade's Office: One Week After Passing the Proposal…

Daichi walked into the office to find Sakura there as well. "You have a mission for me Lady Tsunade?"

"It's actually a mission for you and Sakura since you are the only Shinobi I can spare." Tsunade informed. "Tell me, do you remember a man by the name of Tazuna?"

"Of course, I do." Daichi stated. "He hired Team Seven for our first mission outside of the village. Did he submit another mission?"

"He has." Tsunade nodded. "His village wishes to train up proper guards, and they need someone to offer guidance. Tazuna requested Team Seven; however, I can't send out that many Shinobi given the state of the village."

"You wish to send out a couple of Shinobi rather than a squad." Sakura nodded. "How long is the mission?"

"You'll both be gone for two months, and I'd like you to leave tomorrow." Tsunade stated. "I've ranked this mission a B given the time."

"Would it be alright if I requested a bit of help from the Land of Iron?" Daichi asked.

The Fusion Leader was thinking of Toshiro. He could be a valuable help to the mission, and it would be nice to see his cousin. They had left on good terms, but it most certainly hadn't started that way. It would be good to improve that relationship.

Tsunade nodded. "You may."

"Then, seems as though we must prepare Sakura." Daichi turned to the Senju and nodded. "If you don't mind, I'm hoping you wouldn't mind meeting me at my house. I have something I wish to discuss with you."

"I would love to." Sakura was more than happy to agree.

She may have lost her fan girl tendencies, but that didn't mean she wouldn't enjoy time with the guy she liked. She'd just be a lot cooler about it. Of course, despite what she told him before, she wasn't about to pressure him into doing anything.

"Great." Daichi nodded. "Come around at six this evening."

Yamanaka Flower Shop: Later

Ino hadn't seen many customers since working at her family's flower shop that day. She blew a portion of her hair up as she sighed. Then Daichi entered carrying what looked like a container of Anmitsu.

"That's odd." Ino thought. "In all his time in Konoha, Daichi's never set foot in this store. Now, he's entered with Anmitsu. I may not be close to the guy, but I know enough to tell he's particular about what he eats."

Daichi spotted the Yamanaka and approached. "Hey Ino, I know the cherry blossoms are in bloom, so I was hoping you had a bouquet."

"You want flowers?" Ino knew something was up. "You've never stopped in before." She smirked. "Is there a special occasion you're buying them for?"

"A special occasion?" Daichi casually waved it off. "Nah, I just wanted to give flowers a shot. Brighten up my home and all."

"Oh, he's good, but when I smell gossip, I'm never wrong." Ino though about the flowers and Anmitsu before realizing what this was. "Well, isn't this a surprise. I never expected you and Sakura to develop feelings. Here I thought it was one sided on her part."

"I thought it was just a rumor that nothing romantic escapes you." Daichi rubbed the back of his head. "My intention is to give them to Sakura along with one of her favorite foods before asking her out."

"Really?" Ino was surprised. "Here I thought you were just a brute."

"You think that because I don't like fan girls." Daichi retorted. "That's not Sakura anymore, and I honestly do have feelings for her. That's why I want to ask her out in such a special way as this." He bowed. "Please, can you help me Ino?"

"He's really fallen for Sakura." Ino smiled. "Who am I to get in the way of you two? Even though we aren't exactly friends; I won't charge you extra." She walked off. "Just wait here, and I'll bring you your flowers."

"Thank you, Ino." Daichi breathed a sigh of relieve. "This honestly does mean a lot."

Ino looked back at him. "You can thank me by treating Sakura right. If you don't, you'll have me to deal with."

"Well, I wouldn't want that." Daichi smiled. "I promise."

"Alright then." Ino walked into the back room. "I'll have your flowers in a few minutes."

Ino eventually returned with a bouquet of cherry blossoms which Daichi immediately paid for. "I really appreciate this Ino." The Fusion leader bowed his head before running off. "Thank you, but I really need to go!"

"Good luck Daichi!" Ino shouted.

Fusion Clan Home: Meeting Time

Daichi waited, hidden, on his roof with his eyes currently that of the Byakugan. A fusion clone of Hinata was hidden far away from here as he used his sight to look out for Sakura. Eventually, he saw her walking down the road to his home.

He dispelled the clone and waited until she was before his home. The Fusion leader then whistled and revealed himself of the roof for Sakura to see. Once he had her attention, Daichi jumped off the rood and landed before her.

"Daichi, what is this?" Sakura asked confused.

"These are for you." Daichi held out the flowers and Anmitsu with a blush. "I recalled that you liked Anmitsu, so I bought a serving of the best in the village. Then, I went to the Yamanaka Flower Shop where I bought these cherry blossoms since they're beautiful like your hair."

Sakura accepted the gifts with a blush of her own. "Daichi, I don't quite understand."

"I talked with Naruto, and he's alright with us dating." Daichi stated. "Well, I thought that I had to get you something to make up for our academy days, and it makes what I'm about to ask easier. Sakura, will you go out with me?"

"Of course, I will." Sakura didn't even hesitate, and in her opinion, she'd be a fool to since she wanted this. "There was never a question that I wouldn't."

"That's great!" Daichi exclaimed. "Thank you! I won't mess this up. I really got to plan the perfect…"

"Daichi, I don't need anything fancy." Sakura had moved the cherry blossoms into her other arm before putting a finger to his lips. "You already got me these great, thoughtful gifts and jumped off a roof for me. Rather than planning something, can we just go out to eat for our first date."

"A-are you sure?" Daichi questioned as she lowered her finger. "I could really put something amazing together after our upcoming mission."

"You already have." Sakura assured him. "At this point, a simple dinner will make this first date perfect. Now, can we find something simple to eat and enjoy tonight?"

"When the lady asks, a gentleman should provide." Daichi held out his arm. "Pick wherever you'd like milady."

Sakura wrapped her free arm around his. "Why thank you, good sir."

The two of them smiled as they walked off together. they ended up going back to the BBQ place where they once talked about Sakura's mother. This time, it would be a genuinely fun, simple time with one another.

Outside Fusion Clan Home, Midnight…

5 figures, hailing from different clans, looked at the house from across the street. Kurama, Akimichi, Sarutobi, Yamanaka, and Hyuga. 2 of them were women and the other 3 were men with nothing distinguishable about them other than their flak jackets and clan features.

"It's time to move." The Sarutobi member stated.

"You four remember the plan right?" The Hyuga asked.

"Of course, we do." The Yamanaka stated. "We rush in and kill him before he knows we're there."

The five Jonin rushed forward from the darkness stepping onto Daichi's property.

Inside

Daichi's eyes snapped open the moment he felt Chakra coming through the seals in his room. He quietly got out of bed and wove hand sign creating a shadow clone. He then tossed his arm guards to it while strapping his swords to his side.

"If I yell 'Now', place those gauntlets on the seals and pour every drop of Chakra into them." Daichi whispered.

The clone nodded as Daichi walked out of his bedroom and down the stairs only stopping once he stood before his door. He could see the shadows of five figures through the window on his door. It was clear that they were working on the protection seal placed on it.

Daichi made his way to his basement's entrance and poured enough of his Chakra into the seal on it, so that it was sealed. He had no idea why 5 Chunin level Shinobi were on his property, but it was better safe than sorry.

The Fusion leader then moved back to the front door and addressed the figures. "Excuse me, but would you mind telling me what you want from me?"

The figures stopped and a gruff voice spoke. "Lord Daichi, thank heavens your up. Lady Tsunade has called a meeting of all the clan heads. There's been a threat made on the village and war is on the horizon."

"I don't know how you could possibly think that lame excuse would work on me." Daichi declared unconvinced. "Now, tell me the real reason you've set foot on my property."

"We simply wish to chat with you Lord Daichi." A female stated. "More specifically, we want to inquire about some of your proposal ideas."

"I get what you're really after." Daichi calmly stated. "You want me dead because you don't agree with the proposal. May I remind you that your clan heads helped me make and agreed to it. Killing me won't stop what's already been rectified."

"You're right about that, but it will stop you from making any more mistakes." Another male declared.

"Well, I tried to end this peacefully, but you've forced my hand." Daichi stated. "At this point you five are faced with two options. You surrender peacefully or deal with me until reinforcements come."

Some of the people chuckled.

"You're bluffing." A woman stated. "You have no way to get in contact with anyone. We'll soon bypass this basic seal you have on your door and kill you."

"Now!" Daichi yelled causing the 5 figures to pause. "I left a shadow clone in my bedroom and he's now pouring the Chakra from my arm guard into a seal. This seal disperses Chakra in a wide area. Others will come, so all I must do it hold out."

"You're bluffing." The gruff voice stated worriedly.

Daichi threw his door open as he burst out delivering a powerful punch the Hyuga's face. "I'm not bluffing in the slightest. You seem to forget that my father was good friends with our Fourth Hokage who was a sealing master.

At this point, the only location better protected than this house is his old apartment. Before you go saying how you have the advantage, consider the fact that there are seals located all over this property." What he wouldn't tell them is that the seals also impacted him.

"You're Chakra is slowly being absorbed as we speak, and you're trapped in here with me. There's also the fact that I'm no idiot. I'm deluded enough to think I can win, but I know I can hold you here. So, what will it be? Will you surrender or insist on fighting?

The 5 Shinobi looked at each other. They knew they only had one option available to them. They had to kill Daichi before help arrived, so they charged the Fusion leader intent on killing him.

Kakashi's Apartment

Kakashi was dressed in his long-sleeved black shirt, pants, and face mask as he slept. Then his eyes snapped open as he felt a large amount of Chakra. The elite Jonin was instantly out of bed with a kunai at the ready only to realize the Chakra was coming from a seal on his night stand.

A seal Hagane had entrusted to him after he was named Daichi's godfather. "Daichi us in trouble!" He immediately opened his window and jumped out it. "I can only hope Zabuza realizes the same since I gave him my copy."

The former Demon of the Mist may not openly admit it, but Kakashi knew he had a soft spot for Daichi. If the Fusion leader were in a dire enough situation, the elite Jonin wouldn't want to leave anything to chance.

Zabuza's Apartment

"Brat, you better not die on me." Zabuza was already up and strapping his sword to his back. "You have a goal I want to see you succeed at."

Fusion Clan Home

Daichi ducked under one punch only to be hit in the face by another sending him into the wall of his home. He quickly rolled to the right before the Akimichi could punch him, and while staying low, kicked the Kurama member back.

"Not easy fighting when you can't use Genjutsu on me, huh?" Daichi smiled despite the bruises all over his body. "Though it seems you five have acclimated well to having less Chakra." He caught the next punch which came from the Yamanaka and kicked her in the side

"Why won't you just die!" The Kurama member shouted.

Daichi smiled. "Because I have to many people counting on me to live."

He attempted to a kick but took it to his gut instead. Still, the Fusion Leader stayed standing and managed to grab that foot before pushing the Kurama member away.

Daichi then gathered lighting nature to his palms and held them out to the Yamanaka. "Bolt!"

The electricity nailed and surged through the Yamanaka until she landed on the ground unconscious. Two other members of his opposition rushed the Fusion leader.

"It's risky since I've had little time to practice this Jutsu, but it's my only hope at the moment."

With no time to dodge, he quickly wove hand sighs. "Earth Style: Dragon Scales!"

The scales of earth began to form, but his lack of practice with this Jutsu showed as it failed to cover his whole body. At the very least, he was protecting his vitals which forced the squad of Chunin to go attack what was there with their kunai.

One was embedded in his right arm and the over in his left leg drawing blood. The Fusion leader ignored the pain and struck at his assailants with his uninjured limbs. He was able to knock back the Akimichi and Kurama member.

Daichi then coated his right arm in Chakra. "Lion's Devastation!"

He spun around and slammed the arm into the Hyuga's gut with all his might launching them into a tree. The Fusion leader heard the Chunin's bones breaking, so even though his arm hurt like hell, it felt worth it.

"Just a little longer." Daichi thought. "I just have to hold out a little longer!"

"Partial Expansion Jutsu!" The Akimichi proclaimed.

His arms became the size of a giants and he placed them around Daichi. The Fusion leader knew he wasn't going to be fast enough to avoid this attack. Especially since his leg was slowing him down, and not with all the energy he's already expended.

Fortunately for him, he wouldn't have to take this next attack as the familiar sound of bird's chirping filled the air. "Lightning Cutter!'

The Akimichi's arms stopped as a lighting covered hand was shoved straight through his heart. The larger body fell to the ground lifelessly. Before the remaining four Shinobi could act, the head of the Kurama member was cut clean off by the Executioners Blade.

Daichi fell to the ground and poured his Chakra into the seals deactivating them. Kakashi Hatake and Zabuza Momochi body flickered in front of the downed clan leader. Anger was evident on both their faces.

"Those who break the rules are scum, but those who betray their comrades are worse than scum." Kakashi stated. "You five did both in one night, and that's impressive for all the wrong reasons. I suggest you give up now."

"I suggest you don't test us." Zabuza exerted his massive killer intent. "We only need one of you for a confession, so don't make the others expendable."

The 3 Chunin were all for killing Daichi, but they wanted to live. Judging by their now dead companions, and that killer intent they were feeling, they knew they didn't stand a chance. All three fell to their knees with their hands on the ground. Daichi smiled before passing out.

Tsunade's Office, Early Morning…

Unfortunately, Kakashi and Zabuza had been assigned a mission long before Daichi awoke in the hospital, but their presence was covered by Sakura since his injuries potentially impacted their mission that day.

"I've read over the reports of the incident provided by the Jonin on scene as have the clan heads." Tsunade looked at Daichi. "As such, it had been deemed that you have the right to sentence them as you see fit."

"I thought as much." Daichi stated. "I have sentences for the living Shinobi while the dead present a special case. The dead shall be stripped of their status, and their names are not to me added to the Memorial Stone; however, both should still be buried in the cemetery."

As for the living members, I want them questioned by Ibiki. He will get the information needed to find any possible conspirators. Then, I want them to serve a year of jail before being revaluated by people you trust.

If they can be brought back to active duty, release them, and instate them as Genin. When you deem the time right, they can take a special test, administrated by the village, to become Chunin once more."

"Understood, and I am sorry they attacked you." Tsunade shook her head. "The Shinobi of this village should know better than to attack each other."

"Don't be too hard on them." Daichi waved it off. "I may have been attacked, but I think it was more out of fear of change than negative intent. They just need a reminder, and I'm hoping their sentences will give them that."

"I think you're being a bit too nice Daichi." Sakura was angry that anyone would target Daichi like they did. "If it were me, I'd see them banished from the village.'

"I know you care Sakura, but I promise I'm alright." Daichi smiled as he picked up his bag and sluing it over his shoulder. "Now come on, we have a mission to get to."

"That's another thing." Sakura stated worriedly. "Your injured arm and leg aren't just going to heal instantly. I'm not sure this is a good idea."

"Nah, I'll be fine." Daichi stated. "I'll have plenty of time to rest on the road, and you'll be there to back me up if anything goes down."

"Not to mention, it might be for the best if Daichi gets away for a while to let things settle." Tsunade declared.

"I suppose." Sakura snatched his bag. "I'll be okay with it if you let me carry your bags.'

"If it prevents you from worrying about me, I'll accept it." Daichi declared. "Come on, let's go."

Konoha Gates

Daichi and Sakura walked up to the gates together, but before they could leave, they saw Asuma, Chouza, Inoichi, Unkai, and Hiashi standing there. The Fusion leader wasn't expecting to see them before leaving the village.

"Daichi, we wanted to apologize for our clans' actions." Asuma stated.

"You five have nothing to apologize for." Daichi waved it off. "I know none of you orchestrated this attack, and your people have already been given their sentences."

"You cannot deny that keeping better track of our clans would have better prevented this attack." Hiashi sadly stated.

"I'll tell you five what I told Lady Tsunade." Daichi stated. "I don't think your men had negative intent for attacking me. It's only natural I'd be attacked since I instigated change. Now, my teammate and I must be off."

"If you truly feel bad about what happened, take more interest in your clans, and ensure this does not happen upon Daichi's return." Sakura's anger over the situation and care for Daichi was evident to all five of them. "I hope you take what I said to heart."

The pair left the five of them behind.

"Sakura speaks sense." Inochi was addressing his fellow clan heads. "Let us take what has happened to heart and take a more active role in our clans."

"We cannot allow the village to fall apart nor can we allow fellow Shinobi to attack each other." Hiashi agreed.

The other clan heads, except Unkai who fumed unnoticed over his clanmate's failure, agreed as they went their separate way.
