Chapter 87

.

Note: Buffy, Giles, and the others mentioned in this chapter are from "Buffy the vampire slayer."

.

Buffy spoke with Giles. Giles had been speaking with other versions of himself lately, trying to find where Buffy's sister Dawn might be in this world. Dawn had been the Key, she started existence as a mystical ball of energy, a way to open barriers between worlds. the hell god Gloificus had tried to use Dawn's blood to open a barrier and return to her own dimension, not caring that it would break down all barriers, destroying many worlds. Glory had been defeated, but the original purpose of the Key remained. The Order of Dagon had been to save as many people as possible when the end came, and that is what Dawn did. She allowed her blood to be used to evacuate her friends, family, many strangers, and it cost Dawn her life. Now, Buffy was determined to rescue Dawn from Hell, she just needed to find where in Hell her sister was.

.

Giles: I spoke to some of the other versions of myself. It's quite fascinating actually. Did you realize that there is a world where Willow became a vengeance demon, after giving birth to the final slayer and being hunted by a vampire cult? And another world where Faith became a vampire and had the power to ressurect other vampires. She turned Sunnydale into her own personal kingdom where vampires ruled and...

Buffy: I get it, there are a lot of versions of Sunnydale.

Giles: Sorry. At any rate, I'm afraid none of them know how to locate Dawn, if she is in fact in Hell.

Buffy: We knot that Dawn wasn't raptured, and then she died. Even if she somehow escaped, I would have found her in Antarctica by now.

Giles: You're overlooking one thing, Dawn gave her life to save many others. It's entirely possible that she earned a spot in Heaven.

Buffy: I can't take that chance. I have to know for certain. If she's in Hell I have to save her.

Giles: Willow, Tara, Xander and Anya had similar ideas, and dragged you out of Heaven.

Buffy: If that's the case, I'd let Dawn be happy up there. But I have to know for certain. Oliver Queen is planning to go there soon. I'll be on that team.

Giles: You know you could just end up looking for nothing. And if something were to happen to you...

Buffy: I'll take my chances.

Giles: That doesn't suprise me in the slightest. Many other things have suprised me lately, you always being the hero does not.
