"Jamie?"

Jamie stood at the altar of St. Michael's church, gazing at the statue of the archangel. She had her arms crossed tightly over her chest. Michael can feel the destruction that his father reaps upon the earth. Jamie's own heart and head ache with the magnitude of destructive power. "I feel it too." She whispered, referring to the fact that God was wiping souls off the planet. Their shared bond means she feels what he feels, which is both comforting and devastating. She turns just as Michael puts his hand on her back and she sighs. "Adam?" She already knows the answer. She looks at her husband and sees only the archangel. The duality of the previous months is all but wasted away.

"He's gone." Michael confirms. "Do you think that…"

"I don't know." She gasped and grabbed her chest. He grabbed unto her and pulled her close.

"No!" He yelled, thinking she would disappear, instead she shook her head, grabbing his jacket and taking a breath. "Jamie?" After a moment it's clear she is not disappearing, but she is in the middle of a premonition that causes her to shake and gasp in his arms.

"It's not…Cas is dead." She took a deep breath, closing her eyes to steady herself. "Cas is dead." She repeated. "The Empty. I saw it. Death too." She looked up at Michael who frowned deeply. "What do we do?"

Michael pulls back and sighs. He crosses his arms, looking beaten and lost. She hates this expression, this feeling. He is the Prince of Hosts, and yet even he has been cast low. She knows this feeling of hopelessness all too well, but usually somehow and in someway her brothers manage to find a way. This time…there is none. He turns from her, goes back to his books, just for the distraction. She turns again to the altar and to her own dark thoughts.

"My brothers." She's sitting on the stairs, her head in her lap. He leans against the altar and then looks over his shoulder at her. She gets up, her gaze moving towards the doors. "Jack too." Michael nods. He keeps his back to her and then disappears. She sighs and picks up the single solitary candle that she has lit. She closes her eyes, moving her fingers around the flame. After a moment she throws her hand out. Flames fly through the air and catch the wicks of the all the candles around the church. She sighs, breathing deeply before turning around.

"Dean. Sam." She says softly as they enter.

"Jamie!" Both rush to her and through their arms around her. She hugs them back and then pulls away so she can face Jack. He looks her hesitantly and she does the same before reaching out and putting her hand to his face.

"Nephew." She mutters softly.

"Aunt." He replies. They hug.
"So... you survived." They all turn towards the back of the church where Michael has stepped into view. Thunder crashes

"Michael." Sam mutters. Another crash of thunder. Michael walks towards them. "When the rapture first began, Jamie and I took refuge here. It is St. Michael's, you may have noticed." He gestures to the statue of the archangel. Jamie glances at it briefly before moving to Dean's side.

"Are you hiding out from your dad?" Dean asks

Michael continues to move towards them. "I'm sure he's aware I took your side against him. I've avoided using any powers that might attract his attention."

"But I felt great power." Jack mutters.

"You sensed us." Jamie tells him. "Chuck knows we're still alive, but…"

"What about Adam?" Sam asks.

Jamie looks away. "Gone. I'm sorry to say. Exterminated by my father, like everyone else." Michael explains.

Dean sighs. Guilt is evident on his face. Sam's as well. "Poor bastard never caught a break."

Michael stops. Thunder continues to crash outside. "How did the three of you manage?

Dean scoffs. "Apparently, your old man has a sense of humor. He thought it would be hilarious to watch the three of us on an empty planet."

Jamie scoffs also. She glances at Dean and then at Michael.

Sam looks at the open books. "What, are you, uh... doing some reading?"

"They're mine." Jamie mutters.

Michael nods. "I never spent much time on Earth. Jamie tells me most things, but…I was... curious about the perception of God and Heaven."

Dean looks amused. "And?"

Michael shrugs. "Amazingly, the believers loved him. They have for thousands of years. I guess my efforts were more effective than I'd hoped."

"Your efforts?" Sam asks.

"When God left Heaven, I was certain of his return. So I made sure all of the angels and prophets burnished his image on Earth. The all-knowing, all-seeing, all-caring God." Michael looks at Jamie only as he speaks and she looks away. It doesn't take a psychic to see the anger, the guilt, and the betrayal they both feel. Michael is the favorite son and Jamie as his prophet and his wife was supposed to share paradise with him. She thinks of her time in Catholic school. Her devotion to him. And how he supposedly helped her, protected her.

"Daddy's boy." Dean mutters. Michael scoffs. Jamie slowly moves to his side.

"And now? After seeing what Chuck's done?" Jack asks. Michael looks down. Jamie reaches him and grabs his arm.

"We reached out to you. You ignored us." Dean sets his stone gaze on the Archangel.

"That was then." Michael glances at Jamie and then looks up. "This is now. Tell me what you need me to do."

…..

The five of them stand in the war room as Sam comes in with Death's book. He throws it onto the table in front of Jamie and Michael. "Alright, Michael. Here's the book we've been telling you about."

Michael glances at it and then looks up at Sam. "That's one of Death's books."

Jamie studies it, brown leather with a symbol on the front cover. "The alpha and the omega." She mutters, reaching out to touch the cover.

"Yeah, this one is about God. And how to kill him." Dean explains.

Sam nods. "As far as we know, only Death can open it. But, um... we're hoping, uh... maybe you can, too."

Jamie sighs and grabs the book. She also tries to open it, but cannot. She sets the book closer to Michael. Michael glances at them and then blinks. His eyes glow blue. He reaches out towards the book. After a moment the book also glows blue. However it does not open, even the table shakes. Michael gasps and his eyes return to normal. He breathes deeply. "I'm sorry."

Jamie looks at her brothers, they look back at her and then to the book.

Michael leaves, wanting to be alone to think. Dean and Sam go into the kitchen, leaving Jamie with Jack. She studies him for a moment and then walks over to him. "Jamie?" He asks. She continues to look at him oddly.

"Come with me." She takes his hand and leads him to his room. Once inside she sits down on his bed. He stands by the door, still wondering what she's up to. "I see it now. Or I…feel it."

"You…you know?" Jack asks.

Jamie nods. She looks down. "I know what we have to do." She holds her hands out. "Take it, Jack." He takes hold of her hands. Her hands glow blue and his glow gold. As his glow increases, hers decreases.

Suddenly there is a loud rapping on the door. "Jack, Jamie!"

Jamie gasps and pulls her hands away. Jack puts his down and goes to the answer the door. "Dean?" He asks.

"Sorry to interrupt your little aunt-nephew bonding time, but…we have a visitor."

Jamie gets up. "What?"

"Who?" Jack asks.

Dean shakes his head. "You're not going to like it." He pauses. "Lucifer's back. Apparently the empty spit him out."

Jack and Jamie look at each other, both exhausted and exasperated. "Damnit." Jamie groans, pushing past Dean. She goes to her old room to grab her bag. She unzips it and pulls out Michael's archangel blade. She stuffs it into her waistband and goes to find Michael.

Jamie and Michael walk into the library together where Jack is watching Lucifer. "Wow. Look at you, bro. The almost-mighty." He looks at Jamie who glares at him before going over to Jack. "Hey sis-in-law. How are the kids." She hisses but Jack grabs her. Michael stands in front of her. Lucifer, unimpressed knocks over a house of cards he has glued together. "Hmm. I cheated."

Dean and Sam come in. Michael turns to them and points to Lucifer. "Are you seriously thinking about trusting him?"

Dean shrugs. "Uh, I wouldn't exactly say "trust."

Jamie hisses again, holding unto Jack's arm to keep herself in check.

Lucifer gestures to Michael. "Mikey, Mikey, come on, man. I get the bitterness. For all you did for the old man, you got no better from him than me. The son voted Most Likely to Suck, and that sucks."

Michael shakes his head. "I did what I did because it was the right thing to do, not to get his love."

"Alright, well, that's a good thing, 'cause the man had no love to give... Not to you, not to me, not to... humanity. You see that now, right?"

Betty the reaper appears holding Death's book. She clears her throat and they all turn to look at her. "Asshats. I have opened the book."

"And?" Sam asks.

"And it's in here... all that you want. I know how God ends."

Sam hesitates. "Wait a second. You're sure about this?"

"Of course I'm sure. I'm Death."

Dean rolls his eyes. "You've been Death for an hour."

Betty rolls her eyes and opens the book. "Behold, in the end, there is the ending of he who created the beginning."

"Fascinating." Lucifer mutters.

Betty: "And, thus, it will be..."

Lucifer snaps his fingers. The book flies to him and Betty aka Death, disintegrates. "Yeah, this is what Pop wanted to get his hands on. Hmm. Did I say that out loud? Yeah, Pop was the one who let me out of the Empty. I'm sort of the new favorite now." Jamie grabs unto Michael as she steps in front of Jack. "What did Dad say about you? Oh, yeah. "Mikey's a cuck." He laughs. Michael's eyes glow blue. "You're a cuck." Sam and Dean advance and Lucifer uses his power to throw them against a wall. "Nope." Jamie grabs Jack's hand and moves him over to the wall to shield him. Michael advances on Lucifer. "D'oh!" Lucifer materializes on the other side of the room. Michael throws a ball of energy at Lucifer but he disappears and reappears. "Wow, you are really getting rusty at this, buddy. Bye."Lucifer fires a ball of energy at Michael knocking him down.

"Michael!" Jamie yells. She turns to Lucifer, still standing in front of Jack. Her eyes glow blue for a moment but it quickly fizzles out. Lucifer laughs but Jamie still waves her hand, throwing him back with her telekinesis. He moves slightly and then chuckles before knocking her out into the hallway.

Lucifer turns to Jack. "So... buddy... you're gonna have to make a decision now. Uh, dump the losers and join Gramps and me on the winning team. Of course, this is the only way you're getting out of here alive, 'cause you're not strong enough to fight me now, so... What do you say, kid? What do you say? Come on." While Lucifer talks Michael appears beside Jamie. She gives him the archangel blade as they both stand up. "Somebody's behind me?"

Lucifer turns around to see both Jamie and Michael. Lucifer's eyes glow red. "You don't learn."

Michael stabs Lucifer with an archangel blade and he drops the book. Lucifer screams, red energy erupting from his eyes and mouth. He disappears. Michael steps back. "Thanks for keeping this safe." He says to Jamie. She smiles and then picks up the book and goes over to Jack, whose sweating.

Michael goes into the kitchen alone. Jamie turns the book over and looks at Jack. They stare at it together. Dean and Sam gesture to Jamie. They talk quietly amongst themselves, every so often they glance at Jack and then at the book. Dean leaves to go into the kitchen. Jamie hands the book over to Sam. There's a look in her eyes.

…..

"Did he pray to him?" Sam and Jamie are sitting in another room. Rowena's spellbooks at open in front of them. Jamie is gathering ingredients. She sighs, closing her eyes and nodding slightly. "I'm sorry…that it has to be this way."

Jamie glances at him. "It was always going to end this way." She says softly. She rubs the scar on her wrist.

…..

Michael carries a book he's been looking through into the library where Dean and Jack are researching. "How are Sam and Jamie doing? Any progress?"

Dean looks up. "I hope so. They've been in there a long time." The twins enter. Sam is carrying the book and Jamie has three bronze bowls in her arms. "Oh. Why don't you ask them yourself."

"Sorry. It's slow going. But we were able to piece it together." Sam smiles at Jamie who smirks.

"It"? Michael asks.

Sam nods. "The spell. There's a spell."

Jamie places the bronze bowls on the table. "It has to be done at a particular place... at an exact angle from the sun. But it will release an unstoppable force that will find Chuck... and finish him."

The Impala arrives at a lake. The ingredients for the spell are prepared in three bronze bowls. Michael helps Jamie mix one of the bowls while Sam and Dean do another and Jack prepares the last. Michael puts his hand over Jamie's and helps her up. They share a sad smile. Together Sam, Dean, Jamie, Jack and Michael stand in a circle around the bowls.

Dean looks at each of them in turn. "Let's light it up." Sam throws a match to the ingredients and three spires of light shoot into the sky. The ground rumbles, but them the light disappears as the bowls are thrown in three separate directions. "Wait. What happened? What's wrong?" Dean looks at Jamie and Sam. Jack gasps and Michael turns around. Chuck is standing behind them.

Chuck throws Dean and Sam back with his powers. Jack holds his hand up but Chuck is quicker and knocks him aside. Jamie throws her own hand out but Chuck knocks her down as well. Michael glances at her but his focus remains on Chuck.

"Father." Michael says.

"Son. And, listen, I appreciate the heads-up about all this."

"It's always been my destiny to serve you."

"Michael!" Jamie pushes herself up unto her side.

Chuck glances at her and then at Michael. "Yeah. The thing is, it's kind of late in the game. You did side with the Winchesters. I can't forgive that."

Michael puts his hands up. "Father, no. That was a lapse of judgment, I admit, but I swear I..."

"Save it!" Chuck waves his hand and Michael begins to break apart.

"MICHAEL!" Jamie screams dragging herself up. Dean and Sam grab her, keeping her from going to him. Chuck holds his hand over Michael and he explodes. "No!" Jamie turns away, holding her face in her hands.

"And you two." Sam shoves Jamie aside as Chuck's gaze falls on him and Dean. "You know, eternal suffering sounds good on paper, but as a viewing experience, it's just kind of... eh. So we're done. I'm canceling your show."

"Alright. Well... one for the road." Sam hits Chuck.

"Cute." Chuck uses his power to hurt Sam and Dean. "Eh, what the heck. I can get my hands dirty." Chuck starts beating Sam and Dean. "Fellas, give it up now."Chuck keeps beating the boys. Bones snap. They are bloodied and badly beaten. They still get up. "Come on, guys. Just stay down." Chuck hits them again and again. "That's enough, guys. Guys, come on."

While Chuck's attention is focused on her brothers Jamie rushes over to Jack and pulls him to his feet. He gives her a sad smile. She pulls him in and lays her forehead against his. "It's yours." Jamie pulls out her knife and slits her wrist over her scar. A final glow of blue leaks out and Jack absorbs it.

"That's enough, guys. Guys, come on. That's enough." Sam and Dean help each other up. They can barely stand, but they are laughing. "Why are you smiling?"

"Because. You lose." Sam gestures towards Jack and Jamie. Jamie is holding her bleeding wrist.

Chuck turns around. "Jamie. Hey, Jack."

Chuck walks towards them. He snaps his fingers but nothing happens. Jack walks up to him and places his hands on the sides of Chuck's head. His eyes and hands glow gold. Jamie watches with the same grave look on her face. All Chuck's power transfers to Jack. With a snap of his fingers, he heals Sam, Dean, and Jamie.

Jamie goes over and picks up the book. Sam and Dean join her.

"What... What did you do?"

"We won." Dean tells him.

"So this is how it ends. My book."

"See for yourself."

Jamie throws God's book to him. Chuck flicks through the pages which appear blank.

"There's nothing there." Chuck looks up at all of them.

"Oh, there is. But only Death can read it." Same tells him.

"That's right. So we had to come up with a plan "B." That wasn't too hard, though, when we realized that Michael really is a daddy's boy." Dean glances at Jamie.

Jamie nods. "See, he didn't take it too well when he found out that you asked Lucifer for help. He was…desperate to be the favorite again." She sighs.

Sam nods as well. "Since we couldn't read the book, Jamie and I had to come up with a story about finding the spell, which we knew Michael would feed straight to you."

"All that prep work we did to turn Jack here into a cosmic bomb? Oh. Well, it turned him into sort of a power vacuum. He's been sucking up bits of power all over the place." Dean explains.

"So when the two heavyweights... Lucifer and Michael... Showed up to duke it out, ohh. Plus a little added help from me." Jamie adds. "That charged him right up."

"See, we knew Michael would warn you and you'd show up here. And you did." Sam looks at Jamie. "And you killed your own son."

"And you beat the crap out of us. Releasing all kinds of power. God power. Jack absorbed it all. It made him..." Dean shrugs. "Well, it made him unstoppable."

"And I topped him off with the last of Michael's grace."

Chuck chuckles. "This... This... This is why you're my favorites. You know, for the first time, I have no idea what happens next. Is this where you kill me? I mean, I could never think of an ending where I lose. But this, after everything that I've done to you... to die at the hands of Sam Winchester... Of Dean Winchester, the ultimate killer... It's kind of glorious."

Dean shakes his head. "Sorry, Chuck." He and Sam walk past him. Jamie and Jack look at each other and then follow.

"What? What?" Chuck turns and looks at them.

"See, that's not who I am. That's not who we are." Dean tells him.

Chuck turns to Jamie. "Jamie…Jamie this was…always meant to be your ending. Come on." He gestures to his chest. "I killed your husband. I killed your children." Jamie glances at him and then at Dean and Sam. She walks over and joins them. "What kind of an ending is this?"

Sam turns to Jack. "His power. You sure it won't come back?"

Jack raises his chin. "It's not his power anymore."

Sam nods. "Then I think it's the ending where you're just like us and like all the other humans you forgot about."

"It's the ending where you grow old, you get sick, and you just die." Dean adds.

"And no one cares. And no one remembers you. You're just forgotten." Jamie finishes.

"Guys... Guys... wait." Sam, Dean, Jamie, and Jack get into the Impala and drive off. Chuck yells after them. "Guys... Guys! No, wait. G-Guys... Guys, wait! Guys, wait! Guys, wait! Wait, wait, wait! Please wait! Guys!

…..

Back in Hastings Dean, Sam, Jamie, and Jack get out of the Impala into the empty street. Sam puts his arm around Jamie and then lean against the Impala.

"Alright, kid, you really think you can pull this off?" Jack closes his eyes. And suddenly all the people reappear. Dean and Sam walk across the street but Jamie stays at the Impala. "Way to go."

While Dean and Sam talk to Jack, Jamie watches off in the distance. After a while Jack walks over to her. "Aunt Jamie." He says softly. He snaps his fingers experimentally.

Two figures appear and both walked towards Jamie. The shorter one has dark brown hair cut in a faux hawk, and the other has messy sandy blonde hair pleated against his forehead. As they raised their heads Jamie sees blue-green and bright emerald eyes. "Mark. Noah." Both wrapped their arms around her. She looked between them to Jack. "Thank you."

"I have a preposition. It seems I'm in need of a new Death." The boys pulled away to look at their cousin. "Cousins, I thought we could work together. " Mark and Noah nodded. "Good. Mark, you will shepherd those who rise, and Noah, those who fall. You're better suited to deal with Rowena and her demons anyway." He smiles. Noah smirked and Mark nodded. "And, don't worry, you'll have time off to spend with your mom."

Jamie chuckled. "Thank you, Jack." She smiled. "What about Emma?"

Jack continued to smile. "She's in heaven, like she deserves." Jamie nodded. Jack looked towards Mark and Noah. "Shall we?" Both boys hug their mother once more. Jack nods and they disappear. Jamie raises her head and looks over at Sam and Dean.

Back at her house in Sioux Falls, Alex and Patience help Jamie move some boxes into the garage. "What are you going to do now?" Claire asks, coming out with another box. Jamie opens the box Claire is holding and pulls out a ceremonial knife. She raises an eyebrow and smiles at the girls.

….

Donna, wearing a black trenchcoat turns to Jody who is holding a black umbrella. " So cancer..." Jody mutters as they turn and start to walk back to Donna's car. "Not a werewolf, or a vampire, or a demon."

"Didn't even know she had it, until it was too late." Donna tells her. "Sam came by right after she…He helps the girls burn her body. But…she wanted her ashes up here. By her mother's." They walk past several gravestones. One of them says "Mary Winchester."

Jody nods. "Well…she's with her and Dean now." They glance back at the last stone.
