Chapter 88
.
Note: Oliver Queen and Laurel 2 are from "Arrow" Buffy and Willow are from "Buffy the vampire slayer" and I think you all know where Anakin Skywalker is from. Specifically he's from the canon version.
.
Oliver Queen went on this mission to Hell. He went with Laurel Lance, the version from Earth-2, Buffy Summers, Willow Rosenberg, and Anakin Skywalker. Anakin's abilities with the force allowed him to access this dimension. Willow was a powerful witch, also able to do this. They were specifically searching for Buffy's sister Dawn, and were willing to bring other refugees home with them. They were wearing rags to better blend in, but some were watching them with great interest. One such person was Laurel Lance, from what world they didn't yet know. She soon approached them with an offer.
.
Laurel: I know someone who might know where your sister is.
Buffy: Who?
Laurel: He'd rather I not say.
Buffy: Fine, just take me to him.
Laurel: He won't speak to you, only to Oliver Queen.
Oliver: Why me?
Laurel: When you see him, you'll know.
Oliver: Great, more riddles.
Laurel: I can take you to him, but only you.
Oliver: Fine, let's go.
.
Laurel took Oliver Queen away from the group. As they went to the location, Laurel began talking to him.
.
Laurel: You ever watch that old movie "Sophie's choice?"
Oliver: No. Why?
Laurel: It took place in Aushwitz. The commandant, Rudolp Hoss, he's here in Hell.
Oliver: That is not particularly suprising, wasn't he convicted of crimes against humanity and executed?
Laurel: Yes, and rightly so. He murdered well over two million men, women, children. He prided himself on not being a sadist, not torturing his victims. If I recall the movie, it was guard who forced her to make that decision. Hoss said he would have disciplined the guard for that. You were faced with a choice like that, weren't you?
Oliver: Yes. Ivo forced me to choose between Shado, or Sara.
Laurel: My sister. Who did you choose to save?
Oliver: Why are you asking me this?
Laurel: In my world, Oliver let my sister die. When I learned the truth, I made him pay. Guess you might say I was a villain.
Oliver: You don't know where Dawn is, do you?
Laurel: Just wanted to talk with you. See, I made my Oliver choose between his mother, or his sister. He couldn't choose, so Moira let herself be killed to save her child. Later I fought Oliver to the death. He won, but spared my life. He locked me up in a secret Argus prison. I vowed vnegeance, but then all of this happenned before I could escape. Does it bother you to know that I killed your mother?
Oliver: Did you try to destroy an entire city?
Laurel: No, my vengeance was limited to you and your family.
Oliver: That puts you ahead of some.
Laurel: Yes I've heard, versions of myself that tried to destroy Star City. Versions of Slade Wilson tried this because Oliver chose to save Sara. So, did you chose to save Sara, or let her die?
Oliver: It's never enough, is it? You're obsessed with vengeance.
Laurel: I have a right to it.
Oliver: I'm walking away. My advice is to try and do better, or you'll be trapped in Hell forever.
.
Oliver tried to walk away, but this version of Laurel attacked him. He was forced to defend himself and they fought. Oliver was able to knock this Laurel unconsciouss, but decided to spare her life. Killing her here would only ensure she'd wind up being tortured, and eventually released. Then she would just be more determined to track him down again. This act of mercy might be for nothing, but it was worth a shot.
