"So; Boscha, Skara, do you remember what tonight is?" Luz asked.

Skara and Boscha's eyes widened.

"The New Moon." Skara said.

"That's right. Okay, so, to the new vampires, the New Moon is-"

Luz was cut off as Emira started talking.

"The New Moon is when a vampire is at their strongest. During it, new vampires go feral and are unable to control their actions." Emira said, getting surprised looks, "What? I've spent a few years studying vampires. Never thought I'd be one, but all that studying paid off."

"Yeah, what she said. Anyway, we have three vampires that have never experienced a New Moon. So, I have a plan." Luz opened a book and laid it on Amity's bed, "There is this area about four miles away from here. I've been working on a Shadow Mafic Spell that can place a barrier up and prevent us from getting out. If I put this up for about eight hours it'll allow us to do our... vampire thing and no one will get hurt."

"You are way too optimistic." Boscha said.

"After what happened the past two months, it's the only thing I have left." Luz said.

"Well, if you think this will work, then I'll go along with it." Amity said.

"If everyone agrees, then we'll meet up at sundown." Luz said.

They agreed to Luz's plan and left. Boscha figured she would go home but Luz stopped her in the middle of her walk.

"Hey, Boscha. I... I wanted to say sorry about panicking over you turning Willow." Luz said.

"It's fine. I understand that she's your best friend and you're worried about her."

"I also wanted to say that I'm proud of you. You have come such a long way after everything that's happened."

Boscha gave Luz a small smile.

"Thanks, Luz. I... I'm just lucky that people gave me a chance after all the bad things that I've done."

"Everyone deserves a chance." Luz said, "There's also something that I've wondered. Shortly after you were turned, your attitude towards me changed. I've been wondering, why?"

Boscha looked at the ground and kicked the dirt.

"It was the morning after the last New Moon. I remember seeing you get a call from your mom and you start panicking. When you got back from the Human Realm, I saw the look in your eyes. The same look I've seen when I would stare at a mirror. The look of being lost, the look of being broken, the look of hitting rock bottom. When I saw you, I saw someone who's been put through so much. I saw someone who has been put through the wringer time and time again. I saw... I saw myself. Most people would break. But you didn't. You got up and you stopped Alaric. You wouldn't let him push you around... not like I let my father push me." Boscha said, "You are strong, not weak. Not like I am."

Boscha looked back at the game and felt tears form in her eyes. She felt hands grab the sides of her face and she looked up. Luz wiped the tears from Boscha's eyes.

"Boscha, you aren't, and never will be, weak. You protected your mother from your father. You have gotten accustomed to this vampire thing faster than I did. You had the strength to ask for help when you truly needed it." Luz moved her hands to Boscha's shoulders, "If what we think is going to happen does happen, then... I'm proud to call you family."

Boscha felt more tears flow and she wrapped her arms around Luz. Luz wrapped her arms around Boscha and let her cry into her shoulder.

"I... I'm proud to call you family, too." Boscha said.
