Lucky (Kyuranger)/Fuuka (Ninninger): Blaming Heaven And Earth
I blame heaven and earth for allowing us to meet, but denying our union. Would you say they're torturing us on purpose? ~Surrender To Heaven And Earth, Ying Thitikarn

If each of the sigh that Fuuka was letting out, she could get close to that one dream she had held onto for all this time, perhaps things at the moment wouldn't hurt just as much. Then again, the circumstances for her provided the truth that kept on bombarding in front of her. And because of that, the pain it always gave her just at the thought of it was too much for her to bear.
Once again, Fuuka went out of the dojo to walk and had a breath of fresh air. She'd been doing a lot of that lately. But for her, it was the only way she could think of to keep her sanity intact. At least, for the time being.
She stopped walking when she thought she was already in the middle of the bamboo forest, on a part where she could clearly view the beautiful blue sky. She could have smiled at the sight of it as soon as she looked up, but she found it hurting to do so. Next thing she knew, tears were forming on the brim of her eyes.
Doing so had not only hurt her so, but it also unleashed a wave of memories in her mind. Especially a certain memory in which she was forced to let go of something so beautiful that had happened in her life...
Despite feeling sick, Fuuka still chose to run and find her way to reach her destination. This couldn't be happening! He shouldn't be leaving - at least not yet. He promised!
"Fuuka!"
She didn't stop running, even when her brother and her cousins would desperately call out her name. It wasn't something she would usually do. But this time, she was choosing to ignore them. Fuuka had to do her best to reach the place before it was too late.
Even though her lungs felt as if they were about to burst, she didn't stop running. A few more minutes, and at last, she finally reached it. She immediately saw the Shishi Voyager where the person she intended to see was about to board the said vehicle.
"Lucky!"
The said man froze to his spot before rashly turning around, only to be surprised to see Fuuka in her pajamas and looking really pale and sick. Without a second thought, he approached her and that was when her legs finally gave out and her collapsing to her knees. She was breathing hard before feeling two strong arms wrapping around her.
"What are you doing here, Fuuka?" His voice had obvious worries and panic laced in it.
For some weird reason, Fuuka couldn't help smiling at that. She closed her eyes and placed her head on Lucky's chest where she could feel his heart beating fast. Before she could even stop it, her tears fell. "I thought I won't be able to reach you..."
No words came out as a response, but she felt his embrace on her tightening. She choked up at the warm feeling surrounding that, and also for the fact that she won't be able to feel it again.
"Are you really going to leave?" Fuuka asked, almost in a whisper.
"I have to. And we both know that I couldn't stay by your side. Not when my life is in the middle of dealing with a war. I can't drag you in that, even when I know that you have the ability to deal with it. I can't put you in any danger. I care for you so much to do something like that."
With those words, Fuuka burst into tears and sobbed on Lucky's chest. He, in turn, hugged her tighter and kissing her hair. Both could feel the desire to stay by each other's side like that, and yet the situation proved itself too much to even comprehend and allow them to have a miracle.
"I'll miss you. And when the time's right... Maybe I'll find a way. If it would be allowed, then we'll be together again..."
Lucky's voice was cracking and Fuuka could tell that the longer they stayed together like that, the harder it would be for him to truly leave and fulfill his duty. With the remaining strength she could muster, she lifted her hand and placed it on Lucky's arm. She felt him stiffen at that mere action.
"Then let me go..." As soon as Fuuka uttered those words, she felt her heart shattering. "We'll leave it to fate, then. We'll let it find a way to make that happen. Okay?"
Slowly, Lucky faced Fuuka - confused, at first. Then slowly, even with the pain visible in his beautiful eyes, he smiled and nodded. It took a while before he helped her stand up since she was still feeling weak. But his hands still remained placed on her shoulders, with him looking at her through the eyes intently. She smiled weakly and as encouraging as she could.
A few more moments later, Lucky finally removed his hands on her and walked a few steps backwards, waved gently at her before turning his back to finally board the Shishi Voyager.
Fuuka didn't know how long she stood there, but it felt forever, especially when the Shishi Voyager started flying and went to the sky, leaving Earth and her...
Two months had passed since then. Two months of hoping, wishing, and dreaming for a miracle to happen. For fate to finally have its way of fulfilling what she had initially thought about when she decided to let Lucky go.
At the moment, the only thing she could do is to have faith that it would happen.
Her hand subconsciously reached for something from her pocket. Eyeing it with such lonely expression filled with so much yearning, she gently ran her thumb over the empty Kyutama that Lucky gave to her as a charm. Before she could even stop herself, her lips curved up to a smile she had not shown in a while since that day.
"A part of you is still here... I know that now. You never really left. At least, not completely..."
There was no use blaming anything or anyone for them to be apart like this. Yes, it could be their fate. And yet somewhere in her heart, she believed that their story wasn't completely over when he left her world - both literally and metaphorically. Lucky would come back. She could feel that deeply in her heart.
Fuuka looked up again and closed her eyes when the wind blew softly. The breeze made her smile; for real, this time.
But until the day Lucky would actually come back to Earth - to her world - once again, that part of him would remain just a small piece of a puzzle. She would hold on to that piece until the miracle she prayed for would finally come true and fill the gap in her heart once more.
