Author's Note (Monster): Hi guys! It's time to end my oldest chaptered fic. After 6 years of many months/year long breaks, trash writing and mostly modern-day me trying to fix the mistakes I made in this story in the end, it is time to post the final chapter of Kidnapped. It's been a journey and although I'm happy to end this dumpster fire, I do still love this story for the nostalgia of being a new fanfiction author. Enjoy.

Look out for Kidnapped Remastered.

Previously on Kidnapped;

While Danny has pulled his strength and courage together again, the scars remain a source of anxiety for him. Charlie promises they'll overcome it.

"One more song! One more song! One more song!"

Danny was sweating like crazy in the scorching sun. There wasn't a breeze to cool him down. He grinned at Charlie and the other returned it, sticking up his thumb. Funny put an arm around Danny and pulled him back on stage with the rest of the gang. Charlie was being his usual self, taking the centre of the performance. His scars had never held him back. He was happy, he was scarred, he had his memories back and most of all, he was married to his best friend. Just a small ceremony, nothing fancy, but they didn't want to wait a long time to have a bigger wedding after Charlie's brush with Death.

"LA, you crazy motherfuckers. We'll do one more song for you guys."

There was a wild scream through the crowd and Charlie held out a hand. "You know what? We'll give you a new song we've been working on. This one's called Day Of The Dead."

This wasn't the plan but they knew this song. They'd been fighting for this song, fighting to write it. They could definitely perform this one. Charlie started with a low "hold on, Holy Ghost" and from then on, it was fire. Johnny was just as excited to get his words out, making a face sometimes when he didn't quite know it by heart but overall, he didn't stumble. He stuck to his words just fine. The crowd was going insane with the heavy guitars bringing it.

Finally Danny entered the scene, screaming out the chorus. He looked over at Charlie and when the other gave him an approving nod, he finally felt like himself again on stage. He was a performer. He was a singer. He was born to sing these songs. The atmosphere grew calm, crowd dying down. Charlie walked closer to Danny. "When the ashes start to rise and the moon falls from the sky. And a thousand candles burn into the night."

This was Danny's favourite part. Just him and Charlie sharing some lyrics to unite their trauma. "When the angels softly cry on the flames below the sky. Would a thousand souls still pray for you and I?"

The thousands of souls had supported them through all of the hurt. All of the negativity. All of the hate. All of the whispers about what happened to them. They meant nothing in comparison to their strength.

With a banging end of the song, they left the stage of their celebration concert to kick off the previously planned road trip. They had to use the old bus for it, but the old bus held so many memories, they didn't even mind.

There was no kidnapping, there was no bus fire, no suicide attempt, no exes coming back. Just Hollywood Undead on a road trip in the bus to calm down.

For the first night, they decided not to just stay aboard the bus. Just outside LA, they found a quiet place to go camping. Who wanted to stay aboard the bus if you could go camping, right?

Man, Funny had been going on and on about roasting marshmallows since they left the stage. No scratch that, he'd been going on about it since they mentioned wanting to go camping. He bought an extra-large bag for it.

Charlie had joked about wanting to forget fire equipment just to mess with Funny but one glare from Johnny made him throw it in the trunk anyway.

"Did anyone bring that second tent?" J-Dog noticed, head in the back of the bus while they were unpacking the stuff to set up the camp. Matt gasped. "Oh shit, I forgot."

"Nice going, Kurlzz", Charlie elbowed him. "Now what?"

"We sleep in one tent", Funny shrugged.

Johnny shuddered. "I'm sleeping in my bunk then because there is no way I'm joining that goddamn orgy."

"Gross", Danny scrunched his nose. "As if I'd be in an orgy with Kurlzz."

Funny turned his head. "You'd be in one with Charlie?"

Charlie grinned and Funny glared back at him.

Matt hummed. "No, you're not sleeping in the bunk. We are camping. Either suck up your ego and sleep with us, or sleep in the mud."

Johnny groaned. "Why?"

"I wouldn't be in one with Charlie", Danny responded. "But it's not gross with Charlie. It's gross with Matt."

"You're a dick", Matt commented to Danny by his side before turning back to Johnny. "Because the whole point of the first night, was that we'd go camping!"

"Fine!"

At last the camp was set up, no one was left complaining about anything anymore. At least, no one was complaining verbally but Johnny's glare still said enough. After several attempts, there was even a campfire! It was a much needed break.

No more stress, no more unexpected events, no more drama or brushes with Death. Just the band, by a campfire, in the dark just outside of Los Angeles. Just the six friends having fun and hanging out.

"I'm happy", Johnny finally said by the fire. "The performance was great. You guys totally killed Day of The Dead back there."

He said it directed at Charlie and Danny. Both guys beamed, looking at one another. By the crackling fire and under the night sky, they sang together again. It reached from recent Hollywood Undead songs they had written to songs they just liked singing. It was just a moment. A moment they didn't care about anything in the world, a moment they were alone with their friends.

"I feel like you both sing a lot better. Especially you, Danny. I don't know what took away your insecurity but it worked for sure", Johnny said.

Danny gave Charlie a smile. "Just some support of a good friend. It's a miracle how much relating to someone can do for your confidence."

Matt put an arm around Charlie. "He's great, isn't he?"

Charlie smirked. "Shut up."

"I can't believe you guys got married", J-Dog commented. "It seems like yesterday when we found out you guys were dating."

"Seems like yesterday when we found out you and Deuce used to date", Johnny shot back at him.

J-Dog let out an awkward laugh. "But that didn't end in marriage, did it?"

"Seems like yesterday Danny disappeared", Funny added.

There was a silence in the group. No sound but the crackling of the campfire. Small enough to keep them all safe and not remind them of the recent traumatic events. They all sat around it, cosy and warm.

"Has anyone noticed it has been exactly 100 days since Danny vanished?" J-Dog asked.

Danny looked up. "Oh yeah, I guess it has been 100 days."

They all looked at him and he smiled softly. "So much has changed."

"For better and for worse", Funny added. Danny leaned into him. "It broke me. It rebuilt me and broke me again. I don't even feel like the guy I was before."

"You don't seem like the Danny from before", Johnny added. "You seem stronger."

"I am", Danny endorsed. "If anyone were to grab me now, I'd rip their fucking spine out. That's what's up."

The five of them stared at him in horror. Finally, Funny cleared his throat. "I'll have a marshmallow, thanks."

Danny laughed. "I'm kidding, but I'm getting stronger by the day. I'm not gonna let my experience decide what I do in life. I'm far from okay for sure, but I just gotta keep moving forward, you know? I'll never forget what happened but it'll fade."

"Definitely", Charlie agreed. He tossed Funny the marshmallow bag. Then Charlie smacked his hands down on his legs. "Well. One more song?"

"One more song", they agreed.
