Bakugou
– Damn! – my jaw felt stiff at the scene on the TV. Isn't he supposed to be hero number one? Why didn't he seem to mean anything to that thing? Like if he hasn't caused enough trouble for him now that he cares about him. I was beginning to feel sick. Worst of all, Shoto was just gasping for air, and I couldn't do anything but watch; I hated feeling this helpless.
– It has to be a joke – he said without taking his eyes off the television, visibly angry.
– This is what happens ... – the voice of the reporter showed her terror
– Todoroki! – It was Prof. Aizawa – Apparently you already saw it
–There isn't peace symbol? – continued the woman. My chest was starting to hurt. All Might ...
– Don't say foolishness! – It was the voice of a boy. We all look back to the origin – How do you lie like that on TV?! – He was being restrained by two others – Look well! His flames keep burning, don't they? Endeavor is still living and fighting! Don't get depressed by your own lies! – He was very upset, but from everything he said, something seemed to permeate those of us who were there – Who is right now risking his life to save us?! Look closely! – And apparently, we were not the only ones
– Endeavor, keep fighting ... – He was terrified, but didn't stop. – Resist with all your might. Keep fighting!
– Todoroki! – It was the stupid nerd, rubbing his back. Just this once, I would let it go. I could see from here how his muscles were contracting.
– He keeps risking his life to save us – he could barely stand up due to the breeze
– Dad ... – Maybe it was a product of the shock, but more than frustrated, he sounded sad. – We are watching you. I'm watching you! – He got up with a crash, his eyes red.
The battle continued without truce, until both bodies were ascending at full speed. Shortly thereafter, the camera captured a considerable succession of flames that increased in size as they rose.
Soon after, the scene generated a thud that turned the screen into a blank canvas. Then a great roar echoed in the common area and not even the sound of our breaths was audible. We were all stunned.
The camera was out of focus, but the speeding descent of an amorphous figure only made me think the worst. It exploded so abruptly on the ground that the blizzard it generated swept away any object that was not attached. The expression on the bicolor's face was breaking me, was that the best the current number one hero could do?!
But once the flames dissipated, the figure of the burly man came into view, his fist raised in victory.
– Endeavor is on his feet! – The reporter's scream brought our breath back in unison, while Shoto dropped to his haunches, being helped by our teacher in charge, Deku and the other three extras from the stupid squad. – He's posing standing with his fist raised! – What a way to assert his new title.
We were so immersed in the report, that I had missed the presence of the redhead, whom I searched without a trace in the common area. Although I had to clear things up with him, I wanted to be with Shoto, and I couldn't help but feel more impatient that we were finally alone.
He was sitting on his bed, holding his head on his knees. There was so much that the heterochromatic seemed to hide behind his gray and blue eyes, that he seemed to be in a catatonic state. Knowing how reserved he is, it would be very difficult to get him to talk and maybe that was the best for tonight. I settled behind to hug him. His heart was beating irregularly, and what I did was make him lean on my chest, to regulate our breathing. With gentle movements, I stroked his hair and it seemed to be working, as he was beginning to show signs of falling asleep.
– We better get settled – whispering in his ear. He positioned himself on my chest, shortly before I turned off the light on the nightstand.
With his arms around me, his grip was firm. I imagine he must have had a hundred things in his head, after all, he saw his father in a state that had pushed him to the limit; his same father who generated so many conflicts with himself and the rest of his family. I held him close to me, placing a kiss on his head, before falling asleep.
...
– I just finished talking to Fuyumi. – entering my room, closing the door behind him. – She said that he is recovering… – Two days had passed since the attack.
– How do you feel about it?
– I don't know ... It's still very confusing. – He was sitting next to me and at no time did he look at me
– As soon as he gets better – taking his cheek – you can properly criticize the pathetic attempt at speech he offered when he was named number one – outlining a shy smile.
I knew he would keep thinking about that, unless I kept his mind busy, so I decided to propose that we train together. To my annoyance, the soy face and the walking volt listened to us after class and wanted to join us as spectators, however, what was extremely strange to me was that the invisible girl also joined. As I thought, the redhead wasn't with them today either, and when I asked about him, they just gave me a crude excuse that he was busy helping the pink with some business. If the redhead wanted time, that's just what I would give him.
– And what are you planning to do today? – inquired the invisible as we walked down the corridor on our way to the area enabled to train
– I want to find out if in bicolor is still as pathetic since the last time I beat him – as I supposed, the aforementioned remained indifferent, just how he would act in this type of situation
– In fact – he interrupted – I wanted to try something different this time, if you don't mind, Bakugou – there was something in the way he pronounced my last name that was unnatural to me; I had gotten used to hearing him say my name that in these situations, it was as if he were someone else.
– What do you mean?
– You will know when we arrive – ahead of the place. There, extras were scattered in groups, stretching and making use of their quirks.
– Could it be that now we will see the expected revenge of Todoroki? – The black–haired guy began to rub his hands
– If it turns out like that time, I don't think we're so safe here – said the electrician, making a face
– I hope so – showing me a challenging smile. I must say that, if we were alone, I would have covered him with a kiss.
– You're very brave today, huh? – moving away from the stands – Look and learn, idiots!
We were both stretching, and although it would be unfair, I wanted to know what motivated that challenging smile minutes ago. I propelled myself with a blast straight at him, expecting it to create a barrier of fire or ice, but instead he held still, without the slightest hint of intending to dodge my attack, stopping me right in front of him.
– Do you think let me win that easy? – just today his mouth looked so desirable
– I want us to practice hand–to–hand combat. – Getting closer to me. – I have seen that you depend too often on them, and in view of the previous events, having other abilities will not hurt you. – He kept showing that attitude that was verging on pedantic, and it was driving me crazy. I was beginning to wish that no one was looking at us.
– As you wish, prince – I commented mockingly, outlining a smile. He walked a few steps to the front.
– I want you to try to take me down – in a defensive position. I ran towards him, considering that if I attacked him from below, he would lose instability, but he managed to grab me by the shoulders, lowered himself to my right arm and threw me to the ground, backwards. – You were predictable. – Turning his back on me, so I thought about doing the same move, only for him to kick me back to the ground.
– Damn! What's wrong with you?!
– You were predictable again. – smiling at me. I was beginning to feel irritated.
– Wow, Bakubro. I thought by now you would be done with it – if I heard another comment from the soy face again, I would exploit it from the inside out
– If that's what you want, bicolor – putting myself in an offensive position – I'll show you what I can do with just my fists. – This time, with each attack, he dodged them with deft speed. Since when was he so good at hand–to–hand combat? On more than one occasion he stunned me, and he hardly seemed tired.
– You are very good at combat, Todoroki! – praised the outlet.
– Are you tired? – asked pedantic
– Not until you lose – wiping a drop of sweat from my forehead.
We had enough time trying to knock each other down, failing each time, while our breaths did nothing but show fatigue.
I tried in various ways to make him fall, and with each blow he did nothing more than redirect him against me. I was in pain, but I was never going to show him any signs of weakness. In one of my attempts to make him fall, I almost succeed, until with a somersault he managed to stay upright, staggering a little; he was also tired. It was a matter of exhausting him a little more. However, his countenance changed, he now had a threatening pose.
He ran toward me, and redirected several blows to my joints, weakening my limbs. He had numbed my body, so that my movements became awkward. Which gave him a chance to attack me again, and as a reflex action my hands started to produce smoke, but before I could do anything, I was already face down, on the ground.
– I thought it would be more difficult – he had the audacity to boast about being as exhausted as me
– What? Did you want to show off today? – tightening the hand on my back even more, sitting astride
– Maybe – it was unexpected to hear that playful tone
– Get off me! – No matter how hard I tried to get up, he had me submitted – you know very well that I am better if I am above – I said so that only he would hear it. And then he leaned over my back, bringing his mouth to my ear.
– Maybe it's time to change that – he told me in a whisper that shook my spine, although it could well have been that he was pressing his body on it.
However, once alone, I would turn the situation around.
– I declare Todoroki the undisputed winner! – Shouted the black–haired – Better luck for the next one, Bakubro. – It is true that I was exhausted, but exploding his face wouldn't be difficult. The bicolor separated from me, while I was massaging the wrist that he forced on my back.
– Is enough for today. We can continue some other day. – he had his back to the trio of idiots, as he showed me that swaggering smile he made every time I failed to take him down. Far from being upset, I just wished that night would come and, by the orange sky, I wouldn't have much to wait.
– That was great Todoroki! – the yellow almost jumped on him with how excited he was
– You managed to end the explosive's win streak
– REPEAT IT ON MY FACE, DUCT TAPE! – he was using the other as a shield
– Nothing you can't change once you improve, Bakugou – pronounced the heterochromatic, heading to the exit. Tonight, we would settle accounts.
The trio of extras were walking behind me making too much noise.
– Are you okay, Hagakure?
– Yes, you were quiet the whole time. – It was the black–haired guy –If you're afraid of Bakugou, he just barks, but doesn't bite – it sounded like a whisper, but I managed to hear it. I turned to the three of them only to be frightened by one of the explosions I made a few meters from them; within minutes they were engulfed in fumes, coughing. – Told you. – He uttered again in a mocking tone, but I would not waste my time with that idiot.
– It's nothing – said the invisible one. – I was only focused on combat, nothing more. – She concluded. It was strange that she wanted to come in the first place, unless the reason was something, or rather, someone else. I hate that the bicolor attracts so much attention, and much more if I cannot help it.
Already in the bedrooms, I remembered that I had to speak with two of the usual quartet that involves me in their stupidities.
– Hey useless, do any of you know where Shitty Hair and Pinky are? I have not seen them with you
– Aww, are you worried about our squad members?
– ANSWER IF YOU DON'T WANT ME TO WRAP YOU WITH YOUR OWN TAPE!
– They've been busy. – Said the electric, placing himself between us. – They have not given us many details either. – What the hell is wrong with that pair? They have been like this since the Cultural Festival.
– Whatever – moving away from them, heading to my room to take a shower.
Two hours later, and after finishing dinner, I saw that the pink one was heading for the stairs, so I decided to approach her.
– Hey, Pinky! – The girl stopped halfway – How much do you and Shitty Hair do that has them so busy? – She felt distant
– He has been helping me with a personal matter – she seemed unsure of his answer – Besides, you know that when he arrives from his practices, he ends up very exhausted. – She never looked me in the eye; She was lying
– Yeah, sure. – Heading to my room. When the redhead wanted to talk to me, he would.
Tonight, we would sleep in my room, and I was just waiting for him to finish studying with the damn nerd Deku, and his "Dekusquad". The more I thought about that stupidity, the stronger the migraine got in my head.
I was still exhausted from the fight that afternoon, so I lay back on my bed, not realizing that I had fallen asleep. Shortly after, at approximately nine o'clock, I woke up dizzy; I don't usually fall asleep that easily. As I sat up on the bed, the familiar bi–colored figure was sitting at the foot of my bed.
– Why did you want us to train hand to hand? – lying down in his direction
– I see that you already woke up – looking at me carelessly, he held his notebook.
– And why do you have to study with the damn nerd?
– Someone woke up in a bad mood
– Answer something of what I asked you!
– One, after the final exam in which I faced Aizawa, I understood that I shouldn't only depend on my quirk to defend myself and attack, so I thought it would be good if we put it into practice. – Considering the results of my fight with All Might, it would not hurt to learn new combat techniques beyond my explosions. – Two, – he continued. – you're the one who calls him a nerd. – My brow furrowed even more. – He's very good with Modern Hero Art History and Fundamental Hero Studies – he commented with the most serene of expressions, as if there was nothing unpleasant in what he was saying. – Do you have any other questions? Because I have to continue studying for tomorrow's exam. – Returning his eyes to the notebook – You can fall asleep; I will try not to bother you – as if I was going to let you do that
– Do you really always have to study with them? – standing behind, to hug him
– You always study with the "Bakusquad" – he replied mockingly
– Damn the time that the quartet of idiots came up with that name – I growled, then stroked his hair
– You see? We both spent time with our respective "squad" – he smiled at me to continue reading
– We could also study together – kissing his neck.
– Just like now? – His voice was fading more and more. It was time to seek revenge.
I hope I can reflect the personalities of the characters.
Fact # 52
Todoroki's personality gradually changes to be more mischievous, while Bakugou becomes more romantic.
