Olivia waited impatiently in line at the pharmacy. It shouldn't be this difficult to find a plan B pill. They were in the middle of nowhere.

"We don't have that here. You can try the next town."

Amelia held her arms out. She wanted a better view of the Halloween display behind the counter. Olivia put her on her hip and she grabbed a handful of candy from a bowl on the counter.

"You are so cute. You want all my candy?" The pharmacist, asked Amelia.

"Mom is getting me a Halloween costume."

"You look like your mom."

Amelia opened a mini black licorice and gave the pharmacist the wrapper. She put the rest of the candy in her pocket. Olivia was reading a poster on the wall.

"Grape candy is nasty." Amelia said, wiping her face on Olivia's cashmere sweater and putting the wet candy in Olivia's hand.

"I don't want your chewed up licorice." Olivia looked at her shirt and almost dropped Amelia. "You put a stain on my sweater!"

"I'm sorry. I didn't have a napkin. You can have some of my candy." Amelia said, taking candy out of her pocket and putting a yellow starburst in her mouth.

"Get down."

"I can't reach the candy."

Olivia bent down so Amelia would walk. Amelia wrapped her arms around her neck and wouldn't let go. Olivia slammed her hand on the counter with the wet candy getting the pharmacist attention. She didn't care about being polite anymore. The pharmacist could clean up the candy.

"You need to find a closer pharmacy. Do I look like I want another baby?"

"Yeah, I hope that's your birthday present next year." The pharmacist, said sarcastically.

"I already have a birthday baby. You can keep your slick comments."

"When is your birthday mom?"

"The same day as yours."

"Wow cool."

"Keep your sticky hands off my sweater."

"I'm sorry. Do I have to go live with the horses? I want to stay with you. I'll be good."

"Your kid doesn't want to be sent to live with horses? You got bigger problems than a pregnancy. I have to help the next customer."

"No, you're not moving to Oregon."

"Are you mad?"

Olivia took a pack of baby wipes out of her purse and cleaned Amelia's face and hands. She was not walking around with a dirty and sticky kid. Her sweater was ruined. Fitz was outside in the car with Karen.

"You don't look happy."

"My sweater is ruined, and they don't have plan B."

"Livvie, you don't have to stay pregnant if you are."

"I can't mentally handle an abortion."

Amelia took her headphones off and put her leapfrog on the seat. "Can we go somewhere fun today?"

"Yeah." Fitz said.

"What do you want to do Livvie?"

"I don't know."
