The beginnings of a new life
Chapter 49th
Loreile had made it just in time with seeing the transport plane landing on the runway. She had rushed to get here not wanting to miss a thing. She parked the truck for which she was going to follow them. Unless it was fine to have her go with them to the hospital. But then again how was she going to have the truck back at the house?
She watched the entire group of NCIS agents moving out of the hatchway carrying their gear. She walked over to her friend Vance as the doctors and the ambulance with the stretcher was going to be moving her husband into it for the trip to the hospital.
"If you're thinking Loreile. There is not going to be any room with all of the doctors to be with Gibbs. Do you have your vehicle?" Vance said with giving the woman a hug, while the rest of the team was able to have escorts to drop them off home.
"I have my husband's truck. Would you want me to drop you off to your house?" She had to asked with watching her husband being pulled out of the hatchway and onto the stretcher.
"Sure that is fine Loreile. However I will be coming to the hospital later once I had a few hours of sleep and a shower." He said with a yawn coming on and his demeanor slumping slightly.
"Come on I will drive you home and then I will be heading for the hospital." She said with the both of them heading for the truck.

When Gibbs had arrived at the hospital. His forced coma was ending with their patient to be coming around within the next hour. But in the meantime he had gone through a series of tests and including a brain scan checking on whether there was any brain damage with his memories.
They weren't going to have the results until the next day as with the rest of the tests with the updated cat scan, MRI and EKG for his heart. This was what Doctor Taft was worried about mostly.
Gibbs was placed in room 643 down the hall from the main ICU nurses station. There was going to be around the clock nursing staff. Making sure that Leroy Jethro Gibbs doesn't suffer with a massive heart attack.
Meanwhile his wife Loreile Gibbs was given the permission to stay with her husband. Though she was offered a possible room to stay in overnight if she wanted to stay further.
Loreile walked down the hall with her pass after stopping by the security office. She felt anxious with her nerves wondering if her husband was going to recognize her at all...
Instead of knocking with the nurse checking his bandages on his stomach and groin. She finished up with writing notes on the medical file to left behind the door. She said that she will be back in an hour to check on the patient.
"Thank you." Loreile said with watching her husband's face almost the same like the last time. Only this time his injuries were much worse. She goes to hold his hand not exactly cold. She waited since she was told that he was coming out of his forced coma.
She began to talk to him once again...
"Jethro here we are again in a similar situation. I don't know how much longer I can take this?" She took in a deep breath. "However I must tell you that I love you a great deal and I will be standing by you through thick and thin with your injuries. I have never seen one one stubborn like yourself special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs."
She stopped for a moment to gather up her thoughts before starting once more. She continued to watch his face looking better as she was told with his blood count and other vitals.
She felt his hand twinge slightly to indicate that he was starting to wake. She watched his eyes to see them beginning to opened. She had her heart up into her throat watching this happening.
She started to really talk to her husband with placing a hand through his silver fox head. "Jethro it's Loreile I am here with you. You're in the hospital after being transported from Paraguay." She said filled with emotion...
He opened his eyes filled with moisture. Though he tried to speak for a moment until Loreile poured a little bit of water to help with the dryness of his mouth. However than she remembered that it was the ice chips that will help the most and it does making him able to talk better.
Talking softly. She bent down to hear his words..."Loreile Am I alive really?" He stated...
"Yes, you are Jethro. You're in Bethesda hospital with everyone having gone home to rest and a hot meal. They will be back later." She replied... "How do you feel?" To be the most stupidest question she had to asked...
"I don't know I can't feel a thing." He softly cried out...
"It's from the heavy medication you're doctors have given to you. And I assume it's going to stay that way for awhile." She responded with a soft kiss to his cheek.
"That was nice Loreile. Though I don't know how to respond back with that kiss?" He announced to have her worried with his reaction.
"You don't Jethro. Just go with the flow for when it comes to getting better. Everyone is rooting for you to recover. And then maybe we can finally take that long vacation we have spoken about?"
"I will love the idea with going to the cabin and the quietness to go fishing and hunting Loreile. We can as well travel to Hawaii and Paris along with a week in California." He says with needing to catch his breath.
"Is there a problem with you unable to breath?" She was going to call for the nurse when he was able to grab her arm telling her not to for now.
"Okay I won't unless you have another episode with your breathing." She says with sitting down with her time almost up before the nurse was going to arrive to check on the patient.
