YELLOW
A ten year old set of best friends sat in Ty Lee's garden having tea on a grim and grey afternoon. Mai stared coldly and disdainfully at her drink as Ty Lee gazed at Azula's yellowish eyes in the sunlight and Azula toyed with cerulean fire in her hand.
It was a comfortable silence.
The kind of silence only the truest of friends get to experience.
And then Ty Lee's mother entered carrying the gains of her shopping spree.
"Mom!" chirped Ty Lee, looking away from Azula for the first time all day.
"I bought you a new dress! I got it in pink: your favorite color."
Azula suddenly spoke up to the adult. "Her favorite color is yellow. Her alleged aura is pink."
Ty Lee's eyes widened. She never expected Azula to remember that little fact, nor to stand up for her.
Ty Lee's mother's lips parted for a moment in silent terror. "My sincerest apologies, Princess."
"Apologize to Ty Lee, not me."
"I'm sorry, Ty Lee. Do you want me to exchange it?"
"It's fine. Tons of my wardrobe is pink so it'll match everything."
"Oh. Okay. Well, I'll leave you girls to your tea." Ty Lee's mother scurried away from Azula as quickly as she could.
Ty Lee turned to her crush and smiled gratefully and lovingly.
Azula looked away, but could not hide her blush.
