Angel: To those who read everything I write, there is a trailer for the new episodes of the Big Hero 6 Series! Can't wait to see them, though I'm still a bit bitter that they cancelled the series. Well, actually, they keep changing the fact that there's 10 episodes to TBA on their wiki. But Fred's voice actor said there's only 10, so I'm not sure if that fact is still valid. Either someone keeps editing it so that they don't want to accept that it's 10, or new information came about that I'm just not aware of.
The karaoke parts though in the trailer made me cringe XD I don't know why, it just did.
Ninja and Kunoichi are struggling to fight a robotic giant dog, which shakes Ninja around like a rag doll. It spits him out and then the two are pinned to the rock wall. The robot roars at them, and it turns out that McFist is actually inside of the thing.
"This is it, Ninja and Kunoichi. This is where you kiss the bucket. When I'm through with you, you'll be pushin' up raisins."
"Kiss the bu—Raisins? Are you trying to say you're gonna destroy us?" Ninja asks in confusion, turning to his partner.
"I'm not completely familiar with old people slang, but I think so," She shrugs at him and he laughs out loud.
"Old?! Have you not heard a word I said?" He groans in defeat, glancing around for a button that will destroy them. "Where's the 'Destroy the Ninjas button' on this baby? Um..." He presses various buttons, but they don't seem to do anything.
"Escape pod activated."
"Uh-oh..." He's then ejected out of the thing, going straight back to McFist Industries.
"Huh," Ninja comments as Kunoichi snickers. The robot falls down in front of them, since it doesn't have a pilot. "That all you got?" He kicks the mouth, which opens up one last time. They yelp and run to the other side. Ninja adjusts himself awkwardly.
"Hey, don't worry! Nobody saw that!" Howard calls out to the two. He's wearing a red hat with a blue shirt that has purple tentacles at the edge. He also has a necklace around his neck. "Cept me, I saw it. You jumped so high."
"Howard?" Ninja asks in confusion.
"Why are you here?" Kunoichi raises a brow.
"Good news. I got a lead on a hot party. Quit playin' with that thing and come on! I brought you clothes," He holds up a red dress shirt and some of Amy's clothes.
"How'd you get those?" Kunoichi asks accusingly and he darts his eyes around awkwardly.
Amy has on a light purple blouse, a navy blue jacket, and black skinny jeans along with her brown boots. Her hair is in a nice braid resting over her right shoulder. She walks between Randy and Howard. Randy has on the dress shirt with no jacket. They arrive in a cul-de-sac, walking up to a house with people inside.
"This is Flute Girl's house!" Randy recognizes it. "Your lead on a hot party is a band geek party?"
"Actually, word on the street is she's throwing a birthday party for someone in school. And EVERYONE got invited but us!" Howard gestures to himself angrily. "I know what you're thinking. What are a couple of happenin' bros like us doin' at a wonkfest like this?"
"That's exactly what I was thinking, right down to the happenin' bros!"
"There's gotta be a better way to say that since I'm a girl," Amy rubs her chin.
"It's a practice party," Howard tells him with a smile. "We can try out our fiesta swag in a...slight-risk environment."
Randy gasps sharply and the lights suddenly turn out from the house, to Amy's confusion. "I could debut my downtown strut! I was gonna spend another six weeks beta testing it in my bedroom mirror, but..."
"Who cares what the dorks think?" Howard gestures to the house.
"Exactly! We could shoob all over the place and we'd still be the Brucest guys in there. That'll show em not to invite us! Shall we?" He offers his hand to Amy, who rolls her eyes in amusement.
"Let's shall."
Amy takes Randy's arm and they walk in a very cheesy strut, which makes her let go of him immediately.
"Oh man," She chuckles to herself as she walks up behind them in a normal way. The Nomicons flash, to their dismay.
"Aw, sorry...we gotta..." Howard just blinks at them with a smile, which sets off a few red flags. "Why aren't you doing that whole thing where, stupid books ruining all our fun."
"Are we trapped in another dream?!" Amy looks around a bit in alarm.
"Nah, I got a good feeling about this one," Howard simply states.
"Which never happens, but I'll take your word for it," Amy tells him.
"Please, shloomp my guest."
They get shloomped into the books and Howard just waits.
The two land on a stone pillar, peeking past a mirror to see a doodle Ninja checking himself out. He flexes in front of the mirror, both doodle Kunoichi and Amy rolling their eyes. Doodle Ninja steps backwards and then falls off. They gasp, looking over the edge to see the advice appear.
"The Ninja who holds himself highest has the furthest to fall. Exactly! No falling Ninjas here. That's why we're starting low at this pathetic party."
"If everyone got invited, it's not exactly pathetic," Amy crosses her arms.
"Good point, but it's still Flute Girl's house." The pillar shakes, throwing both of them off it.
"You ready to be the coolest?" Randy sits up, raising a brow at Howard.
"You ready to be the second coolest?" Howard rings the doorbell, Randy leaning against him.
"You guys are so cheesy sometimes to hang around," Amy mutters as she stands in front of the door. The door creaks open, alarming all of them. They hide behind the brunette, who steps forward. Suddenly the lights turn on, with a banner over everyone's heads that says 'Happy Birthday, Amy'. Everyone is wearing party hats.
"Surprise! Happy Birthday!"
"Uhh," Howard and Randy just stare in confusion.
"A surprise birthday party?" Amy murmurs in confusion before gasping sharply with a happy smile. "This party is for me?!"
"Of course! We've been planning it all week," Heidi winks at her and then Flute Girl sees the boys behind her.
"Uh, why are you dressed like that?"
"Hey, girl. Heard you were havin' a party," Randy says coolly, Amy scoffing at him. "But a party ain't a party without the two Brucest bros in Norrisville! Especially my girl's party."
Amy and Flute Girl give them a deadpan look. "Don't worry. We're here now," Howard flashes a small smile, grossing both of them out.
"Ugh. Did he just blink at me?" Flute Girl whispers to the brunette as Howard walks past them.
Randy chuckles, strutting up to the two. "It's a double wink. Plenty more where that came from."
"What?" Flute Girl murmurs in confusion, Amy just shrugging it off.
Everyone from school is in the house as they're either dancing or drinking sodas. There's also a large three-tiered cake with pandas as the topper. The three walk inside, Amy smiling at everything.
"Hm. Yup. Here at my girlfriend's surprise birthday party. Not too shabby, I must say," Randy comments smoothly.
"You guys forgot, didn't you?" She deadpans knowingly and they flinch.
"What? Nooo...alright, maybe," Howard admits sheepishly.
"I am so sorry!" Randy frowns at her. "I shouldn't have forgotten your birthday…"
"Relax, Howard says you do that on purpose. I was kind of expecting you to do the same," She replies nonchalantly.
"Wait, so now you're just okay with this?"
"I mentioned my birthday over a dozen times yesterday and yet you still forgot. My parents forgot my birthday a few times before they started getting better at it," She tells him. "So okay is not the word I'd use."
"I'm really sorry that I forgot your birthday. I don't mean to, it's just a habit…"
"It's really not a big deal, I'm not really mad," She smiles weakly at him.
He frowns at her answer as that smile was strained. Meaning that she was not okay with it. He had to make it up to her…it's her birthday, she deserved better.
"But then why didn't you give me more of a hint today?"
"I had. Several times, and then I just gave up trying," Amy tells him, Heidi grabbing her arm.
"Come with us to the photo booth, Amy!"
"And then later we can totally hip hop all over that dance floor," Morgan snaps her fingers.
"Sure!" She runs off with Kat, Heidi, and Theresa. Rachel is pinning a tail on the donkey, or at least trying to. Howard takes the tail and then pins it for her.
"Ha, too easy."
Randy hums in agreement, Rachel just staring after them in confusion.
"This party is about to get lit up!" Bucky places a lampshade over his head. "Party cliché zing!"
"Laaa-aaaaame," Randy says to Howard as Bash is the DJ, playing the music.
"Bucky! Bucky! Bucky! Bucky!" Everyone around him cheers as he dances around.
"C'mon, let's show these shoobs what a real party looks like," Randy and Howard strut while Amy steps out of the photo booth with her friends.
"These are good pictures, I'll keep these someplace I can see them everyday," She smiles at them before they see the two boys doing their dumb walk. Amy just blinks in confusion while Heidi groans, facepalming in embarrassment.
"What are they doing?" Kat shakes her head slowly.
"If anyone asks, that's not my brother," Heidi speaks up. "I almost regret inviting them."
"Wait, they said that they didn't get invited," Amy raises a brow in confusion.
"No, Flute Girl said she sent them out because they're always with you," Theresa tells her. "Maybe they ignored the envelopes or accidentally threw them away."
"Hm," Amy rubs her chin in thought.
Everyone just stares at the boys. "Yo, H dollah dollah, gimme a beat!" Randy calls out to Howard, who starts beat-boxing. "Wikka-wikka-Randy. Remix!" Randy scratches a record from a old record player. "Re-re-re-re-remix! Wikka-wikka-Howard, y'all!"
"Oh my god," Amy facepalms at them.
"Yeah!" Howard then rips his shirt off. "Ha ha, oh, so much fun! Oh, man! Yeah! Yeah! Yeeah!" He jumps on the couch, takes a vase, and then breaks it.
"Howard!" Amy shouts at him. Flute Girl pushes past two people.
"I think you need to leave!" She pushes them towards the door.
"But we're Bruce. Brucer than Bruce," Randy argues to her as he struts towards the door. "Howard, what's Brucer than Bruce?"
"Bruce City?"
"Get out!" Flute Girl pushes both of them outside. "And stop walking like that. You look ridiculous!" She slams the door in their faces.
Amy winces, feeling a bit bad, but they were acting cocky and overconfident the whole time.
Stevens plays the sad trombone, as he brought his instrument with him. "Ha ha!" He wraps his arms around the Blonde Twins. Amy moves Flute Girl away before she could see him, to protect her feelings should she get stanked at this party.
"One, two, three, four...Hmm," Viceroy looks at his clipboard. "One, two, three, four..." He's looking at only four robots and not five as one of them is missing. "Could'a sworn I made five."
McFist crashes into the lab as he was finally arriving back from being ejected. The pod rolls to a stop, standing up on its own.
"Whoo! Brought that one in kinda hot, huh. Oh, well, I better get this cleaned up before Viceroy-" He shrieks as he sees a not too pleased Viceroy standing in front of the broken glass window.
"Before Viceroy what?" He slams the door angrily.
"Viceroy!" McFist exclaims angrily, and it becomes clear that he did not have permission to take the robot out. "I thought you might be out, y'know, paintin' the town. It's a Friday night, in the..."
"I'm not," Viceroy deadpans at him. "I thought I told you the Wolfodile wasn't ready for action."
"You see, I thought you said it was...ready for action. So I took it. Almost got the Ninjas, too. Except your stupid robot wasn't ready for action!"
"I don't suppose you remember where you left it, hmm?" Viceroy walks up to a screen, looking over his shoulder.
"Let's see, I was downtown, then I took a left at the guy, then I saw the dog..."
Viceroy groans, rubbing a temple.
Randy is driving a bike supposedly, his hair blowing in the wind as he swerves to his right. "I don't get it. We were rocking Grade A soiree swaggage and they kicked us out. From Ames' birthday party!"
Howard peeks behind him. "I know! And we boosted their Bruce Factor like a spabillion percent!" The two are playing Wings 2 Wheels at the Game Hole.
"We gotta back in that lame party to show them that they should've invited us!"
"How? Flute Girl was seriously cheesed," Howard points out.
"I don't know..."
"And why isn't Smith here? I want nachos," Howard complains a little.
"I told her to stay at the party when she asked if we were okay, it's her party after all," Randy shrugs at him, frowning. "I can't believe I forgot her birthday, I'm the worst boyfriend ever..."
"For to saving town, you are rewarded with party-hardy!"
"Aw, man," Howard whines at the winner screen. "Even this guy gets invited to parties. I wish we could save a town."
"Maybe we can," Randy grins as he gets an idea.
"What?"
"I said, maybe we can..." Randy repeats himself.
"I know, I meant, what the juice are you talking about? You wanna save a town?" Howard gestures to outside. Randy scoffs as he stands up, walking off.
They're back at the same place where Ninja and Kunoichi fought against the Wolfodile earlier that night. Randy struggles to pull it.
"What are we doing here?" Howard asks in confusion.
"If we save everyone from a rampaging robot, we'll be heroes and they'll beg us to come back in! And maybe Ames will forgive me!"
"We're gonna save them from a broken robot?" Howard questions skeptically.
Randy pants a bit as the robot was heavy. "They don't know it's broken. Well, except Ames."
"Cunningham! That's genius!" Howard smiles widely at him. "Come on, hurry! Before the party's over!"
"We could go faster if you'd help," His friend calls out to him, pointing to the robot.
"No time!"
Randy groans at this.
Bucky leans in towards Flute Girl. "You'll never guess who Pradeep likes!" He whispers in her ear and she gasps sharply.
"Are you sincerious?!"
"Whoo-ooh! What...what do you think?" Pradeep asks a friend, just as the broken Wolfodile appears outside the window.
"Sorry she kicked out Randy and Howard, Amy," Kat tells the brunette as they're sipping sodas together.
"Serves them right for being cocky," Amy crosses her arms in annoyance. "And they were acting so lame..."
"Forget it."
Randy and Howard place the robot standing up, Randy facing it bravely. "I'm not gonna let you hurt that party or ruin my girl's birthday!"
"Me too, either!" Howard joins his side.
"Hey, check it out!" Everyone looks outside, Amy peeking from behind.
"What's your boyfriend doing?" Flute Girl looks over her shoulder and Amy raises a brow in confusion. Flute Girl lets her stand up front and she sees the two boys outside with the Wolfodile.
"I have no clue..." She furrows her eyebrows as she recognizes the robot immediately. The boys start punching at the robot, moving it between them.
"Give 'em the Atomic Flop!" Randy pushes it towards Howard, who knocks it down with his belly. "Howard, four on the floor!"
Howard gets onto his hands and knees, allowing Randy to jump and 'tackle' the Wolfodile.
"Oh, snap! The Flying Funny Bone! Welcome to the trouble bubble!" Randy pretends to give the robot a noogie, but is unaware of it activating as its eyes glow...
"I can't find the Wolfodile anywhere," Viceroy states to McFist back in the lab. "I've checked radar, sonar, infra-red, ultra-violet, the black market and Greg's list. That thing is gone, baby."
"Lemme get a whack at them buttons," McFist pushes the scientist away from the screens. He starts slamming the buttons randomly.
"Wolfodile located. Grrr," The computer voice responds.
"Oooh, look at that. Found it. Guess I got the touch or something."
Viceroy opens his mouth in shock to see its location. "It's in the residential part of town. And it's under attack! Activating defense systems," Viceroy's about to push the button when McFist pushes him away again.
"That's not how you do it!" McFist laughs evilly as he pulls up some levers. The other robots fly off as they're activated. "That's how you do it!"
Viceroy grunts at him in annoyance.
"One! Two! Three!" Howard mimics being a referee at a wrestling match as Randy is sitting on top of the robot. "We did it!"
Everyone runs outside, all of them cheering except Amy. "Randy and Howard just saved the party!" Bucky points at them. Kat, Heidi, and Amy are skeptical, but decide to not say anything and scold them later. Kat and Heidi's main reason being that it is still Amy's birthday, and she does care for the two.
"We were totally wrong about you two," Flute Girl approaches them. "It would be my pleasure to escort your Brucenesses into Amy's party."
The two boys smile at each other as she's about to go back inside. Amy just rolls her eyes at them. Howard kicks the robot one last time before the Wolfodile's eyes blink green. The crowd cheers as the boys strut back into the house, Howard blowing a kiss towards Kat.
"We did it, Howard," Randy smiles at him.
"Brucest bros at the party," Howard fist-bumps him.
A shriek is heard from outside, getting their attention. Some people are looking outside the window.
"He's bark from the dead!" Bucky points outside to the moving Wolfodile. "Can't start partying just yet zing!"
"Don't worry," Flute Girl turns to the two boys. "Randy and Howard will save us! Right?"
"Yeah, since they 'saved' the day earlier," Amy points out knowingly, crossing her arms. Kat and Heidi also look skeptical of them as they stare at the two. Randy chuckles awkwardly by the look on his girlfriend's face. That look told him that she knew he was faking.
"Eh...probably shouldn't, one fight a day...heroes...us."
"I just ate, 30 minutes, refrigerator, octopus?"
Nevertheless, they're pushed outside by Flute Girl to go deal with it. Everyone watches from the windows and the boys look on nervously at the active robot. Amy gives a concerned look as she stares, since there was no way they could go up against it bravely.
The Wolfodile snaps its teeth. "You said this thing was broken!" Howard hisses to Randy.
"Obviously I was wrong," Randy hisses back to him.
"Obviously you were!"
"I gotta Ninja out!" Randy tells him.
"No way! They'll know we faked it, and then we'll never let be the coolest crashers at the biggest party of the year!" Howard protests to him.
The Wolfodile lets out a howl, turning back to the boys. "Howard!" Randy says urgently.
"Fine, I'll cover for you!"
"I'm on it!" Randy jumps off the porch, but not before scratching his nose while looking at Amy. She nods in realization, whispering to Kat and Heidi something. Heidi nods and goes over to the banner, knocking it down discreetly.
"Uhh...look everyone, that banner's about to fall off!" Kat points in the opposite direction. Everyone turns to briefly look at it while Amy runs off to the bathroom unseen.
Once Flute Girl has fixed the banner, everyone turns to the window again. "Cunningham, you coward!" Howard exclaims with a shrug.
"Smokebomb!" Ninja and Kunoichi appear side by side, landing in front of the robot. The robot opens and shuts its mouth, the two pulling out their signature weapons. They leap towards the Wolfodile, only to get smacked away by its tail. They land on their feet, sliding backwards.
"Ninja Ring, Ninja Ring, Ninja Ring," Ninja throws three of them, but they don't have much impact. Kunoichi's eyes widen before it leaps forward, trying to bite them. The robot suddenly knocks their weapons out of their hands, and they hit the front door, nearly missing Howard.
"Uh, Ninja? Kunoichi? You dropped your weapons!" Howard calls out to them.
They struggle to get the robot off them as they're pinned to the ground. "We're aware of that."
"Get off!" Kunoichi tries to push it off, to no avail. The robot jabs them in the stomach repeatedly and Ninja takes out a sai.
"Ninja Foot Stab!" He stabs the Wolfodile in the foot, both of them sliding backwards
"Uh huh! That's right," Ninja flips onto his feet. "You don't want none of this."
Kunoichi rolls her eyes as she stands up. Then the Wolfodile turns into a left foot. "What the juice is going on?"
"Uhh, that answer your question?" Kunoichi points up to the sky. He looks in her direction to see a blinking light heading towards them. They both squint at it to see it separate into four.
"What...?"
It turns out to be the other four robots that McFist sent out. "Come on. We gotta fight five of 'em?" Ninja complains at this.
"We've fought dozens of robo-apes in a fight, this is nothing," Kunoichi waves it off. But she takes that back as the robots form into one giant mecha robot.
"Nope. Just one," Howard corrects Ninja.
"Ugh, we were barely beating the foot! It's not just nothing now, is it?"
"You really thought I knew there were five of them?" She retorts back.
The robot lands and sends a huge sonic wave to the two, knocking them into a pile of trash cans. The giant robot rushes up to them and Howard gasps sharply. The two yelp as it starts firing lasers, ducking and using trash cans as shields.
"Could really use our weapons about now," Ninja calls out as the robot grabs the trash cans and shakes them.
"On it!" Howard grabs the sword first, struggling to pull it out. The duo kick the robot backwards, but it charges again.
"Ninja Chainsickle!" Ninja throws his chin, getting the legs stuck and tripping the thing. "Yes! The bigger they are, the harder they-" He gets pulled forward and Kunoichi lets out her hair, capturing his waist. She tries to pull him back. However, she gets dragged along with him. "Uh...weapons? Now, please!"
"I'm workin' on it!" Howard finally gets them out, but they land in a tree...
"Really?" Ninja asks in disbelief.
"One job," Kunoichi sighs, pinching her nose.
"Whoa, you see that?!" Howard points up to the tree. "Those things really flew!"
"No, yeah, we did, thanks so much," Ninja replies sarcastically. "Ninja Trunk Ride!" He pulls on the trunk and the two run up the metal trunk. They jump above its head, seeing their weapons in the tree. Ninja throws his scarf and she throws her hair. They catch their weapons, landing on the leaves of the tree.
"What do we do?" He turns to Kunoichi, who rubs her chin.
"Ground attacks haven't worked on this thing, and it's seen every move we've done so far. We need to catch it by surprise."
"But how?" He asks while pulling out his sword. She takes her fans back. He then sees the advice between Howard and the robot. "The Ninja who holds himself highest has the furthest to fall. Yes, fine, if Howard and I hadn't held ourselves about not being invited to the party, none of this would have happened."
"Actually, you were invited," Kunoichi informs him with a blank look. "So you did all this for nothing."
"Wait, really?! We were invited to the hottest party of the year?"
"Focus!" She urges him, gesturing to the robot. The doodle arrows point to the robot and Ninja looks down the tree. "An aerial attack is perfect! It'll never see us coming."
"H'oh, boy..." Ninja murmurs at this. He knew that she and the Nomicon were right, but still. He closes his eyes, his back facing the house. "Ninja Furthest to Fall!" They spin backwards as they jump off the tree, heading towards the robot.
"Ninja Double Team Slice!" They exclaim as they slice the robot in half with their weapons. Ninja slices off the appendages so that they can't come back together, should they activate on their own again. Everyone cheers from inside the house.
"Amazing!"
"Ninja, Kunoichi, that was awesome!" Flute Girl smiles gratefully at the two. "Can you both stay for some punch?! It's someone's birthday, I'm sure she wouldn't mind! Where is Amy, anyway? She should be here for this."
"Um, probably hiding in the bathroom," Kunoichi smiles nervously, waving a hand.
"A-ha-ha...I think we've had enough 'punch' for one night."
"Ninja, why?!" Howard exclaims as Kunoichi drags a hand down her forehead.
Ninja just chuckles at his joke. "Smokebomb!" He throws it down and they both disappear.
The five dots disappear from Viceroy's screen.
"What happened? Where'd the dots go?" McFist demands his employee.
Viceroy exhales a bit. "The robots were destroyed."
"I told you they weren't ready!" McFist exclaims angrily while gesturing to the screen.
"Gee, I don't know what I was thinking," Viceroy replies in a sarcastic tone.
Everyone steps outside to see the remains of the robot. Bucky gasps as Amy, Randy, and Howard join back into the group behind them.
"What the juice just happened?"
"Lemme handle this," Howard whispers to his best friend. "Yep. There's no way to know. Important thing is...I think we could all use a good par-tay right about now. Yeah!"
Everyone just stares at him, including Amy. Heidi groans at him, rolling her eyes in annoyance. Howard steps inside with a hum, with no one else following him.
"Here's the truth," Randy speaks up to everyone. "We thought we didn't get invited to Ames' birthday party, and when you kicked us out, we pretended to fight a broken robot so you'd let us back in. But that robot turned out to be not broken, and part of a larger, more destructive robot. So..."
"It was Cunningham's idea," Howard points the blame on him.
"You were the one who told him about the party in the first place. Even if I didn't know it was for me," Amy crosses her arms at him. Randy exhales, giving a guilty look to Amy.
"Come on, Howard. Let's go..." The two boys start to walk off.
"You can't leave!" Flute Girl protests to them.
"You...want us to stay?" Randy looks over his shoulder.
"Are you kidding? Look what you did! This is the best party ever! Though, not sure how you didn't get the invites. I sent texts to everyone. I even tasked you with bringing Amy here since you're both hanging out with her so much."
The boys think back on when that happened.
They were playing video games together while Amy was studying at home, a week before her birthday. Their phones buzzed and they looked to see Flute Girl's name.
"Flute Girl?! The honk is she texting is for?" Howard asked in annoyance.
"I don't know, but I'm about to punch some more graves!" Randy exclaimed happily and they tossed their phones away.
"Ha ha! Yes!"
The duo whistle awkwardly, deciding not to mention that. Luckily, they ended up finding out about the party anyway, and ironically did bring Amy over...
Everyone cheers as they step inside, Amy smiling. She kisses Randy's cheek. "Thanks for finally telling the truth, Ran."
"No problem," He blushes a bit and she steps inside happily. "Come, my good man. Downtown Strut with me?"
"...Yeah, I'm not doing that," Howard denies after a few seconds.
"A-Downtown Strut! Uh huh. Oh, you see me walking!" He walks into the house like they did when they first arrived. Howard shrugs and struts inside.
"Ha ha, oh, so much fun! Oh, man! Oh, sweet!"
"We're the life of the party!"
The brunette is sitting in her living room, eating an ice cream sundae and watching an episode of Three Bare Bears. She smiles at her dessert, as her parents came home while she was out. She wasn't even aware they'd be there, but to her surprise, she found them waiting in the driveway for her. They happily went out for ice cream to go, where she got to tell them what happened (minus her and Ninja fighting the robot obviously).
The doorbell rings and she raises a brow in confusion. She puts down her bowl, as her parents fell asleep about an hour ago. She steps over to the front door. Amy opens the door to find a vanilla cupcake with pink frosting on it. She bends down to pick it up, and when she stands up, she finds Randy standing a few feet away. He's holding a bouquet of orchids and lilies in his hands.
"Flowers?"
"They're for you," Randy smiles nervously. "I didn't know what flowers you liked, so I picked the prettiest ones."
"They're beautiful!" She smiles, taking the bouquet and sniffing them. "This is so sweet of you! But can I ask why? You don't normally give me flowers."
"Because of forgetting your birthday…"
Before she could insist, he stops her. "I know you said you were okay, but a boyfriend forgetting his girlfriend's birthday isn't something I could let slide. I felt really horrible about it too. You're the best, and you deserve to have better. I'm really sorry, Ames. You must hate me for ruining the party, huh?"
She kisses his cheek and he blinks in surprise to see her smiling.
"No. I like you even more than I did when I sung to you. You felt so bad and guilty about this that you went out of your way to do all this just for me. And honestly, that makes us even for you forgetting my birthday."
"Don't remind me," He looks away in embarrassment, causing her to giggle.
"Okay, I'll stop."
"Your parents are home?" He looks over his shoulder to see their family car.
"Yeah! Surprised me too," She smiles softly. "We went out and got ice cream. Felt like old times."
"I'm glad they came for your birthday," He smiles at her, holding up something wrapped in golden paper and a green ribbon. "I stayed up all night so I could finish this," He holds out the present to her. "Consider this both an apology and a late birthday present."
She opens it and gasps to see that she's holding a handmade photo album. "Ran…! It's beautiful. You made this from scratch?" She starts flipping through pages to see pictures of her and Randy hanging out together, pictures of the whole trio, and some of her and Randy as a couple.
"Well, yeah," He hides his hands behind his back sheepishly. "Took me a long time, too."
She grins up at him, since that meant he spent hours on it, and then put in the effort to give it to her while it's still her birthday. Even though it was almost midnight.
"I love it. Thank you..." She hugs him and he hugs her back.
"Happy birthday, Ames."
Angel: I changed it from a band geek party to Amy's birthday because she hadn't had a birthday yet in the series, and I felt like this was the best episode to do that. And I largely changed the reason for them crashing it from 'they think they could be cool with no consequences' to they thought they weren't invited.
