SACRIFICE
Ty Lee would sacrifice anything for Azula. Anything in the world.
And sometimes Azula asked for the world.
Today, thankfully, it was something simple and small, but something that caused a strange shift in the way they looked at each other.
They were twelve-years-old and it was an icy cold day in the rural Fire Nation, at Ty Lee's family's vacation home. Ozai allowed his daughter to come with Ty Lee and Mai for a brief vacation as long as she promised to train daily, which of course she would even if not asked to do so.
Azula shivered on their hike, she and Ty Lee together enjoying the smog free wilderness away from Caldera.
"Here," said Ty Lee, whipping off her own jacket and handing it to Azula. "Please take this, princess."
Azula wordlessly collected it and put it on. Ty Lee faintly smiled, not needing any thanks; she did not expect any in the first place.
They walked a few steps before Azula hesitated. Ty Lee froze in place, afraid of what may happen.
"It smells like you," thoughtlessly said Azula. She blushed when she realized what had escaped her lips.
"Is that a good thing, princess?" asked Ty Lee nervously.
"Yes," said Azula, "yes it is."
Ty Lee smiled.
