Hope you like it.
And now, with the fic.
Chapter 50: The bonds of the Shiranui.
The sound of metal clashing against metal could be heard thought every hall, room and stairs in the palace. A battle was happening somewhere in the palace…and that place was the main hall, the throne room, where two forces meet again, their weapons clash against each other once again, each one pushing forward to try to overcome their opponent, but neither of them gave up in their intent.
"Glad to see you are fighting seriously now, Chisato!" Exclaimed the Samurai Daichi, as she pushed with all his strength with his sword. "Otherwise, it would not be as rewarding when I kill the Last Shiranui!"
"I finally understand." Chisato answered back, pushing back on her spear against her Master's sword. "To save Master Daichi, I have to defeat the one who is controlling him! If I don't fight with all my strength, I would be not worthy of the Shiranui name!"
"Then fight me with all your strength!"
Both jumped back, creating some distance between them. However, Daichi immediately went into the offensive, as he dashed towards his old student. Chisato saw this and grabbed her spear with both hands and thrusted it forward, trying to catch her master off-guard. However, Daichi leaned to his left, letting the tip of the spear pass to his right and pushed it with his sword, getting closer to her again. He made a cut with his sword, trying to take one of Chisato's arms in the process. However, the redhead managed to take jump back, the blade of her Master passing just inches from her right hand, and only hitting the spear.
Chisato reacted, as she did a horizontal cut with her spear, using the reach of it as an advantage as she was going back in her jump. Daichi, however, blocked it with his sword, resisting her attack. She then stood her ground and pushed forward with her spear, but Daichi jumped over her. Chisato saw this and grabbed her spear with both hands, before thrusting upward, trying to get him in the air. He, however, managed to evade the spear, and descended just behind Chisato. He tried to stab her, but she just rolled away, evading the attack, before standing guard again, looking at her Master.
She saw a shield on the ground, and immediately kicked it towards Daichi. The shield flew towards his mark, but the samurai cut it in half with ease. However, Chisato was already behind it, and ready to strike.
Both Shiranui warriors began a close quarters battle with their weapons, causing some cuts in their clothes and skin, drawing blood from their bodies. Soon, both of them ended up in a clash of weapons, looking at each other's face.
"You are indeed stronger, Chisato." Expressed Daichi with malice. "But you cannot defeat me."
"I will!" exclaimed the redhead warrior. "For my Master, and the pride of my people. I WILL DEFEAT YOU!"
"You will fail like the rest!"
Daichi pushed forward, causing Chisato to take a few steps back. He then moved swiftly, behind her, trying to slash her back again. However, this time, Chisato placed the spear on her back, managing to block her Master's strike. She then uses it as a pole to push herself up, jumping over Daichi, who was ready to attack her when she came down. She, however, blocked his attack, pushing him back with her spear. Both faced each other, looking at each other's eyes.
"Ah, I see you learned to not be attacked in the back." Daichi mocked her. "Well, now this is a more interesting fight."
Chisato, however, didn't respond. Instead, her mind was working overtime.
'How?' she though, as she grinded her teeth. 'How can I save him? Do I have to beat him? Or is someone else controlling him? I need something!'
"Are you trying to 'break the spell'?" Asked Daichi, causing Chisato to wake up. "Told you it is useless. I am not under any spell. I have seen the truth!"
"Lies!" She exclaimed in anger. "I know you are not like this, Master! I will fight to save you!"
"Can you? I don't think you have the strength! If you do… TRY TO BEAT THIS!"
Suddently, Daichi grabbed his sword and pointed it towards her with his right hand, grasping it by the end of it. He bent both of his knees, right arm drawn back and left arm extended forward, with the tip of the blade touching the fingers of his left extended arm. His blade was surrounded by aura, and it ignited in flames. Chisato saw this and her eyes were wide open.
"Yes, this is my secret technique, Chisato." Said Daichi with malice. "I hit you with this some days ago. Come! Try to beat me!"
Chisato looked at this and saw she have no way to escape, so she had to fight. She did the same thing as her master, only with her spear. She had the advantage of range, but the weight of the spear forced her to grab it not by the end, but to the middle of it, so it can be mostly the length of a sword. Her aura flared up, and the spear ignited in flames too.
"I see you also mastered that technique. I teach you well, Chisato." Said Daichi with malice. "Too bad that you will die here."
"I will not give up!" She exclaimed. "Whatever happens, I will save you!"
"Then try it!"
The aura of both Shiranui reached their peak, and in the same moment, both dashed towards each other, their weapons ready.
"SHIRANUI STYLE! PIERCING STRIKE!"
Both the tip of her spear and the tip of his sword clashed, and for a second they created a vacuum around them. However, the next second, both weapons slide through each other and continue their way into their opponents. And the result was obvious...
"You did a good job learning my technique, Chisato." Said Daichi, as the spear of his student passed just by his right, scratching his right cheek. "However… you haven't mastered yet. And that was what gave me the victory."
Chisato grunted in pain, as the blade of her master stuck and went through her right shoulder. She knew he was right. Because of her inexperience and weapon, when both weapons clashed, her's wasn't strong enough and it slide away, being deflected just enough to miss her target, while his sword continue its path and hit its mark.
With her right arm damaged, she released her spear, and fell on her knees as he took the blade of her shoulder. Daichi now look over her.
"I am disappointed, Chisato." Said Daichi with malice…but also disappointment. "Why didn't you come with me? We could have worked together, to the good of Lord Exus."
"How could I?" Chisato asked, her left hand on her right shoulder, looking down the floor. "How could I serve someone who killed everyone I knew, and transformed the one I admired the most into…someone I can't recognize anymore."
"I saw the ligh-"
"THAT IS A LIE!" She exclaimed, looking up to him, her eyes showing despair, but also anger. "That is a lie! The Master I knew will NEVER help Exus! He would have gladly follow the ones seeking peace on our world! He would have…he would have…fight for justice!"
"I AM fighting for justice, Chisato. The Justice that Lord Exus seeks. To protect this world from the enemies of the outside, he NEEDS to command us. As we are now, we will all die."
"…wha-? What are you talking about?" Asked Chisato with confusion.
"Lord Exus…he will protect us from the enemies from other worlds. But you refused to see it, and I am tired of trying to convince you." Daichi said, looking at Chisato with anger. "I wanted to kill you the first time so you don't have to suffer. But you survived, and by doing so, you prove yourself that you could help us. However…you still refuse to see the light. Well, Chisato. If you are not with us…then you are our enemy. And as an enemy, I will have to kill you."
Daichi then raised his sword, and grabbed it with both hands. He looked down at his student, who was just looking at him with desperation and anger…anger at her, for not being strong enough to help him. To think that she will be killed by her own master…
"Master…please…" she pleaded one last time.
But he ignored it.
"Good bye, Chiasato." Daichi said. "With you, the Shiranui Clan will be no more, and Lord Exus will guide us to a new golden age! Farwell!" he said, as he brought down his sword, to cut her head. Chisato closed her eyes, as the end finally arrived...
-CLANK!-
…but it never came.
Chisato, after waiting for a few seconds and seeing that nothing happened, opened her eyes, to see…a blue jacket in front of her.
Daichi's eyes narrowed dangerously.
"You are…" he said in confusion.
"Exus? Guide you to a new golden age?" asked the newcomer, as he grinded his teeth in anger. "What a load of BULLSHIT!"
In front of Chisato, the human from Earth, Alan, stood firmly, holding his Keyblade by the grip on one hand and by the blade on the other, blocking the sword of the samurai. He was matching his strength, even though it seems he was using all of it. With one powerful roar, Alan pushed Daichi back, and the samurai had to jump back to evade the blade strike of the human, creating some distance between them.
"My cousin Reed was speaking the same bullshit that you are talking about." Said Alan, as he firmly stood, his Keyblade in one hand, looking at his rival. "There is no mistake: YOU are under his spell too, just like Reed is."
"A-Alan?" Chisato asked in confusion, not really expecting him here.
"Are you ok?" he asked, looking at her from the border of his sight.
"No, my arm is…"
"Let me." He said, pointing the Keyblade to her shoulder, still showing his back to her. "CURA!"
A ball of bluish energy emerged from his Keyblade and placed on Chisato's shoulder. It slowly began to heal, until the wound was completely closed, and blood stopped from pouring out. She was completely surprised.
"W-what? You know magic too?" asked Chisato in surprise.
"A little something I got after the Spirit of my planet fused with me some weeks ago." Alan said.
"The what-?"
"Long story. Can you move your arm?"
Chisato did so, as she tried to see if her arm was back to normal. She did feel a little sting on her shoulder, but other than that, it was completely fine.
"Yes, I am."
"Good! Hope it works, because I can only use a Cure spell like that once. Hope we don't need it again." Alan said.
"W-wait. Where is miss Lilith?" asked Chisato in confusion.
"Lilith? Oh, you mean Karoita?" asked Alan, as he forgets he was the only one who can use her name. "Don't worry, she is facing that birdman thing."
"She is facing Tengu ALONE?! What were you thinking leaving her alone?!"
"Oh, relax. If for what I felt before is a sight of her true power, she is more than enough to face him."
"But…"
Their chat was interrupted, as both heard steps, and looked forward. Daichi was walking towards them, slowly and imposing, as he swings his blade to remove Chisato's blood from it.
"So you are the Keyblade Champion, eh?" asked Daichi with intrigue. "The one who is trying to stop Lord Exus from protecting this world?"
"If by 'protect' you mean 'I'll take over and remove your freedoms to create a worldwide dictatorship where if you don't obey me you die', then yes, yes I am." Alan answered back, looking at him, completely serious.
"So you still plan to face Lord Exus?"
"No…I plan to keep him trapped FOREVER."
"Then I will have to defeat you and take you with him, so he can show you the truth!" Daichi exclaimed, as he held his sword by the end of it with his left hand.
The samurai dropped into a partial crouch, both knees bent, left arm drawn back and right arm extended forward, as he holds his sword horizontally, with the tip of his blade touching the tip of his extended fingers on his right hand. At this moment, Alan noticed the pose.
'Wait, that pose…it looks like…'
"Watch out!" Exclaimed Chisato. "It's Master's secret technique."
"His secret technique?" Alan asked, getting serious, as he walked forward. "Alright, then I will have to face it head on."
"W-what?! What are you saying!"
"Believe in me."
Alan took a few steps forward, to make distance between him and Chisato, and looked at Daichi straight on. His eyes didn't move, as they were fixed in his enemy. He held the Keyblade with one hand…before dashing towards him, to Chisato's surprise and horror.
"I see you have chosen death!" Exclaimed Daichi, smiling maliciously. "Alright then! I will send you to the otherworld!"
Daichi dashed towards Alan, who was approaching him and fast. Getting closer, he unleashed his technique.
"SHIRANUI STYLE! PIERCING STRIKE!"
Daichi unleashed his attack, thrusting his sword forward. His blade, surrounded with his Aura, was traveling directly toward Alan's face, who didn't used his Keyblade to block. The human, however, did something that surprised him.
Like if he KNEW what was going to happen, Alan step to his right, evading the aura-empowered blade, that passed mere centimeters from his face. Now Alan was to Daichi's right, leaving the samurai's torso completely exposed. However, this was all part of his plan.
'You fool!' He though, as stopped his momentum. 'Even if you evade the sword thrust, I can change to a horizontal strike! Take this!'
As he stopped, he immediately held his sword firmly and made a horizontal slash to his right, so that he would cut Alan's head in the process. However, to his surprise, Alan actually EXPECTED this, and he hold his Keyblade vertically, parrying the strike. Immediately, Alan pushed the sword back with all his strength, causing Daichi to lose his balance. Then, Alan kneeled and spin over his own feet, so that he could create a powerful sword strike with his right hand, hitting Daichi in the back.
The Shiranui Samurai opened his eyes in surprise, as the powerful blow send him flying several meters away, crashing into a wood column, destroying it in impact. Chisato looked at this in surprise, her eyes wide open.
"H-he evaded Master Daichi's attack on the first time?" she asked in surprise.
Daichi struggled as he got out of the rubble. He stood up, as he felt a sharp pain on his back.
"How? How were you able to evade my attack so easily?" Daichi asked in confusion, looking at Alan with anger.
"…it was similar." The human answered, causing confusion in both Shiranui.
"What?"
"Your technique is very similar to a sword technique from an anime series named Rurouni Kenshin in my world." Alan said, as he smiled a little. "Gatotsu, Saito Hajime's technique, one where he uses all of his body to make a powerful sword trust that can pierce any defense. Without the aura and all the special effect, your technique is exactly the same."
"What? You mean that there is another swordsman with a similar technique?"
"Indeed! And unfortunately for you, Rurouni Kenshin was one of the anime series that I watched over and over and over again. In there, the main protagonist, Kenshin, managed to defeat that technique, so I only had to do the same to beat yours."
"Is that why you knew what I was going to do?"
"Yes, because in essence, I saw that technique several times." Alan said…before he held his Keyblade by the end of it…in the same pose as Daichi. "And I even PRACTICED it before."
"WHAT?!" Asked Daichi in surprise, looking at Alan's pose. "You are not going to-!"
"No, not really." Said Alan, as he relaxed and grabbed his Keyblade normally. "I don't think I can use it NOW. I haven't practiced it with a Keyblade, so won't risk it."
"Curse you, human! Are you making fun of me?!" Asked Daichi, as he got up, angrier than ever. "I will show you that you shouldn't underestimate, human!"
Daichi's aura flared up, as he dashed and fast towards Alan, who was surprised by this. The human blocked the sword strike with his Keyblade, but the Samurai continued with his attacks, getting faster and faster. Alan tried to keep it up, but those strikes were just a bit too fast for his reactions. Soon, his clothes started to show small scratches on it. Nothing of consideration, but it was proof that he was slowly losing his ground. As both blades clashed once again, they stood their ground, pushing against each other, looking directly into their eyes.
"You are good, human." Said Daichi with surprise, as he pushed with all his strength. "I heard you started your training three months ago. So legends are true: a Keyblade Champion can grew stronger and stronger at an amazing speed! It's a shame that you will die in here, in the name of Lord Exus."
"You are an honorable man." Said Alan, pushing with all his strength too. "Even under that spell, I can see that. I will find a way to remove that spell from you!"
"You can't deny the truth that I have seen!"
Both pushed with all their strength, before having to jump back to create some distance. They stood on guard, looking at each other, their blades ready to strike. They were about to dash again towards each other…
"Stop!"
…they turned to look to the side, and saw that Chisato was standing up, and she was walking towards Alan, who looked at her with confusion.
"Chisato?" Alan asked in confusion.
"I am grateful that you wanted to fight in my place, Mister Alan." Said the young samurai, standing right in front of him. "However, it is I who need to defeat him and save him from that spell. So please, let me fight."
"Are you sure? Aren't you still hurt?"
"I am ok, thanks to your healing spell. I can continue fighting. Please, Mister Alan. Let me fight him, and release him from this nightmare."
Alan looked at Chisato sternly, analyzing her face and features. She was fully determinated to save her master, even though she was weaker than him. Alan himself was stronger than her, but still, he could see that flame of determination in her eyes.
He couldn't say no to her request.
"Alright." He said, as he put his Keyblade down, and relaxed. "He is all yours. Go and save him."
"I will." She said, as she walked in front of him, before facing her master. "Master Daichi! I will fight you again!"
"Are you sure?" asked Daichi with some malice. "You were beaten before, so don't expect me to go easy on you."
"I would be insulted if you did, Master." Chisato said, as she got on guard. "My pride as a Shiranui will be insulted if you go easy on me!"
Both looked at each other, before they dash forward and their weapons meet in the middle, continuing their fight. Alan looked at their battle intensely, trying to see any weakness from Daichi, but the samurai's style was very good. Not for all he was a Master Samurai, and his experience was easy to notice. If it wasn't because he knew of the weakness of the Gatotsu sword technique, he'll probably been defeated by the Samurai, even if he technically had the same power as him. He wondered if Chisato would be ok, because he knew she was still weaker than her master, but she had her determination on her side.
However, as he saw the battle, he also searched around him. Since he arrived there, he felt like he was being…watched by another person. He expanded his aura to all of the room, and he felt it. A small but powerful spark of darkness.
There was another person in there…and whoever they were, they were powerful.
And he was right.
From the shadows, a figure hide, and looked at the battle with his dark eyes. Seems like he was analyzing the battle, waiting for a moment…to strike.
A few moments later, the battle raged on, as both samurai continued their fight. Both their weapons clashed against each other.
"Give up, Chisato." Said Daichi with malice. "Even if you have recovered, I am still stronger."
"No, not yet!" Exclaimed the redhead. "I won't stop until you are saved, master!"
"And how do you plan to do so?"
"By beating you!"
"Oh?"
"The sages of our clan told me, that there are some mind control spells that can be beaten when the one being controlled is knocked out or beaten close to death. I don't want to, but to save you, I will!"
"Can you do it? Can you strike me, your master, with a technique strong enough to kill me? You will be playing a dangerous game, Chisato."
"It's preferable…to take the chance and fail, that to let you continue to destroy your honor!"
Both samurais jumped back, creating some distance between themselves, looking at each other, wondering what will be their next move.
"Then I'll come, Chisato!" Exclaimed Daichi, his aura flaring up again. "I will not give you any chance! And don't expect me to attack you with my secret technique again. Now that you have seen how that human have beat it, I can't risk it against you. I will kill you with my sword!"
"I will wait, Master." Said Chisato, as she stood steadily, grasping her spear firmly. "I will not hesitate…and I will save you!"
Suddently, Chisato's aura dropped to cero, and it was on purpose. It was weird for Alan, since he could detect her energy just barely.
'Is that…is that a Limit Burst?' Alan though. 'No…it's something else. What are you planning to do, Chisato?'
"Whatever you plan to do, it will not work!" exclaimed Daichi, before dashing towards his student. "Here I go!"
To Alan's surprise, Chisato stood still, waiting for Daichi to get close to her. She didn't made any indication of blocking the attack and…instead, she just evaded it, taking a step to her right, evading the sword strike of her master.
"Lucky guess! But it will not happen again!" Said Daichi, as he immediately went against her again…but she just evaded him again, taking a step back. "Don't play with me!"
Daichi continued the attack, but Chisato evaded it all, with that still fluid semblance. It was then that Alan noticed something, a pattern in the way she was evading the attacks: she was forcing the opponent to move in a circular motion, in a spiral towards an imaginary center. He felt his energy and it was burning hot...and hers was equally the same.
'Wait a second! That pattern… is she trying to do a…?'
They get closer and closer to the imaginary center of the spiral, and Daichi's attacks were becoming more desperate.
"Why don't you stay still?!" Exclaimed Daichi in anger, as he raised his sword again, tired of following Chisato's steps.
"That is simple." Chisato answered…as she stood on the center of her imaginary circle. "…so I can do…this."
Daichi brought his sword down, but Chisato blocked it over her head with her spear. As they both stopped, suddently, something around them happened. The wind around them suddently began to heat and flow around them, forming a small and weak tornado of fire around them…
…or actually, only around Chisato, as the winds trapped Daichi in his place in middle air, immobilizing him in the act. When he realized that, his eyes wide open in surprise.
"Can't be! This technique is…!" he said with surprise.
"I learned this in secret, so I could surprise you when I graduate from being your student." Said Chisato, with tears in her eyes…as her spear glowed and was surrounded in fire. "But now, I will use it to set you free!"
Chisato then pushed Daichi's sword away with one powerful push upward, and this caused the small tornado of fire around them to intensify, lifting Daichi a little more. Chisato then, now free and still in the center of the tornado, spin over her own feet, before raising her spear upward.
"SHIRANUI STYLE! RAISING FLAME DRAGON!"
-SLASH!-
Chisato made an upward strike with her spear, cutting the front of Daichi's body from his lower left part of his torso to his top right part of it, making a cut from his stomach to his right shoulder. At the same time, the tornado intensified considerably, truly becoming a flame tornado. The powerful winds raised Daichi into the sky, the flames burning his body. After a few seconds, the powerful tornado raised Daichi and crashed into the ceiling, keeping him in there for a few more seconds, before the tornado slowly lost its power, letting Daichi's body to start falling and crashing on the ground, some meters away from where he was.
Alan saw this and was very surprised.
'If I am not wrong, that was similar to Ranma's Hiryū Shōten Ha, only using a spear and using the heat of both of their auras to form a fire hurricane instead of a normal one. I can't believe I could see these techniques with different names in other worlds!' Alan though in surprise.
And he would still have thought about it, but then, he saw something in the corner of his eye… and he had to act.
Chisato put down her spear, as she saw her master in the floor. He was still breathing, she made sure of not hitting any vital part, and only immobilize him. Maybe now they can submit him enough so the mages could come over and try to work their magic on his mind, to try and cure him from it.
"Master Daic-"
"Watch out, Chisato!"
Chisato, alerted by Alan, looked to behind her, only to see a purple wave of energy, produced by a sword cut, coming towards her and fast. It was only a second or two, but she couldn't react in time, as her attack left her exhausted, and she didn't do anything.
Fortunately, Alan was there, and pushed her away from danger, as the energy blade passed behind them. Unfortunately for her, when both fell to the ground, his face and left hand fell hard on her breasts, pushing them aside a little. She yelped in surprise, and blushed hard at this, feeling his face on her breasts. However, it seems that he…didn't even noticed it, as he immediately got up and kneeled in front of her, summoning his Keyblade and looking behind her.
"Who is there?!" Alan demanded, actually not realizing he fell on her breasts. He was very concentrated. "How dare you attack from behind?!"
"Very interesting. So you are the human, right?" asked someone, hidden in the shadows. It was the voice of a male, and he sounded menacing.
"Show yourself, coward!"
"As you wish…"
Suddently, both Alan and Chisato, who just got up too, managed to see a shadow that literally emerged from the shadow area of the room. Soon, that shadow began to take form…a skeletal form.
And Alan recognized him immediately.
"It can't be! An Archfiend Vilespawn?" he asked in surprise.
"Oh, so you recognized me, human? Interesting." Said the Archfiend, smiling with malice. "My name is Zaladur, the Vilespawn Archfiend. Very interesting that you managed to detect me when I was hidden in the shadows. You humans are…intriguing."
"You are a coward! Attacking Chisato from behind!"
"I don't care how, but we must win. Under Lord Exus, we will defeat you, no matter the cost!"
Chisato grabbed the grip of her spear firmly, as she looked at the vile creature before her.
"You are one of the creatures that killed my brothers and sisters!" exclaimed the young samurai. "In the name of the Shiranui, I will defeat you!"
"Haha! Little girl, you stand no chance against me." Said Zaladur. "You see, you will never be able to kill me. But I… I can, and easily."
"Well, she is not alone." Said Alan, standing right next to her. "I have stood aside for too long. I will fight too!"
"Well, we'll see what the Champion of the Keyblade is able to do." Said Zaladur, as his dark aura flared up. "Come, puny mortals! I will have your heads!"
"WAIT!"
Both Chisato and Alan look behind then, and they saw Daichi had stood up, and was in the same pose of his secret technique. He was shaking, but his eyes were full of hate at them.
"M-Master Daichi! Why?!" Asked Chisato in surprise. "Please! Wake up!"
"It's useless!" exclaimed Zaladur, laughing arrogantly. "He is now a good puppet in Lord Exus' hands! The spell that control him is so good that we can say anything and he will not care! We can say he is being mind-controlled and he will not realize it! You will not free him!"
"No…It' can't be…"
Alan looked at Zaladur in anger, before turning to look at Daichi again, wondering if he will be able to free him. However, he noticed…something. What he before looked into Daichi's hate…was not hate…
It was determination.
'Wait…is he…?'
"Now, Daichi!" Exclaimed Zaladur. "Kill these insects! Show your loyalty to Lord Exus!"
Daichi clenched his teeth in frustration, as his aura flared up again. Chisato looked at this, completely losing all hope she had. However, Alan again noticed something. Daichi showed hate, but it was not directed to them…
…but towards Zaladur, right behind them.
…and Daichi seem like he noticed Alan noticed that…
…and looked at him with a plea in his eyes.
'H-He is about to…!'
"Kill them, Daichi!"
"RRAAAHHH!"
The samurai dashed towards Alan and Chisato, his aura at his max, and his sword ready to strike. Chisato didn't knew what to do, so she froze in her place…but then Alan pushed her away with his left arm.
"MOVE!" Alan exclaimed, as he pushed Chisato away while he jumped into the opposite direction.
This allowed Daichi to pass just between them, as he continued his course…to his real objective. Zaladur open his eyes in surprise when he noticed Daichi didn't released his technique on the young ones. Instead, he kept it ready, and unleashed…against him.
"What the-?!"
"SHIRANUI STYLE! PIERCING STRIKE!"
The next thing Zaladur felt was a sharp pain on his chest. He discovered in the last second that Daichi was attacking him, so he used his shield to protect himself. However, looking down, he could she the sword of the samurai having going through, not only through his shield, but also his chest.
"You…bastard…" said Zaladur in agony. "How did you manage to get released from the spell?!"
"I tried to fight against it since I was mind controlled." Expressed the Samurai. "It was like another personality controlled my body, so I couldn't move or do anything. But…only when Chisato used that secret Shiranui technique, it weakened this impersonator and I managed to overpower it."
Alan heard that and his eyes open widely. This meant that a 'FakeExus' or something similar was controlling him all this time? It makes sense, in his case. Does that meant that, if he didn't defeat the Fakexus inside his mind, he would have controlled his body like he did with Daichi? … Is Reed being controlled the same?
Chisato understood in that moment, that her master have been released from the spell. That final act was to surprise the Archfiend.
"Master…Daichi…" she said lowly, only her able to hear it.
"Bastard!" Exclaimed Zaladur. "You defeated the curse when you were at the border of death?"
"Yes, but now, I have enough energy to continue living." Said Daichi, as he pushed his blade deeper in Zaladur's body. "I will never forgive Exus for what he has forced me to do! My people…my King…he made me betray them! I… will never forgive him!"
"Yes…you betrayed your people… And you know what is its punishment?"
"Wha-?"
-SLASH-
Daichi then felt a sharp pain in his chest. He looked down, and now, he could see the red blade of his opponent going through his chest, and piercing his heart. Zaladur began to laugh at his expression, as he poured a dark aura into Daichi's chest, one that caused him intense pain.
"The punishment…is death!"
"Master Daichi!" exclaimed Chisato in horror, as Alan was ready to act.
Daichi felt his life leaving his body as his blood poured from the wound in his chest. He was slowly fading away…but after hearing Chisato's scream, he snapped out, and his aura flared up one last time. With all his strength, he plunged his sword deeper in Zaladur;'s body, before with a fast movement, cutting through the torso of the Archfiend, separating his shoulder from the rest of his body.
Zaladur screamed in pain, and in one final act of anger, his eyes glowed intensely, releasing a powerful wave of darkness that send Daichi flying back. Alan reacted and caught the Samurai, before placing him on the floor gently.
"Master Daichi! Hang in there!" Exclaimed Chisato, kneeling besides her master. "Mister Alan, can you do anything? Heal him like you did with me, please!"
"I-I'll try!" Alan exclaimed, as he placed a hand on Daichi's chest and applied a Cure spell. However, the moment he did, a wave of darkness pushed back, and it shock him. "Mierda! (Shit!) What was that?!"
"What's wrong?"
"I…I can't heal him!"
"What?!" Chisato asked in surprise. "Why?!"
"I don't know! I felt powerful darkness pushing back and hurting me! The spell doesn't work! Why?!"
"Because…you are too weak, human…"
Both Chisato and Alan looked towards Zaladur, being surprised that…he was still standing, even though his torso was split open from the heart to the left shoulder.
"A cabrón?! (The hell?!) How the heck are you still alive?!" asked Alan in surprise.
"I am…more resilient, human." Said Zaladur…although his body was starting to dissolve. "However, that attack indeed killed me…for now."
"For now?!" Asked Chisato in confusion.
"We Archfiends are immortals. My body will rot, but my soul will return to our home in Palamecia, where I will be reborn with a new body. The sacrifice of the samurai will be…pointless…"
"You bastard!"
"What do you mean?" asked Alan with anger. "What do you mean that I am too weak to heal him? What did you DO to him?!"
"My last…will…" said Zaladur with malice. "We, the soldiers of Exus, can curse a body so they can't be healed. If we made a lethal wound, we can infect it with our dark aura, one that can't be healed easily. Of course, if you were strong enough, you would be able to overpower my curse. However, you aren't."
"What?!" Asked Alan. And the next words that will come from Zaladur…will haunt him for a while.
"You can't save him, human. You can't save anyone! You are…too weak!"
Alan's eyes open widely. For some reason, that struck a nerve…and Zaladur noticed it.
"Yes. You can't save anyone, human. You will only delay the inevitable: a world ruled by our Lord Exus. Fall into despair, and blame your destiny…for your weakness!" Zaladur exclaimed, as he laughed manically. He was disappearing, but not fast enough.
…so Chisato helped him with that…
…and threw her spear towards him, splitting his head in two, forcing him to disappear completely…but not before they hear his last words.
"I will…come back…"
Zaladur, was dead… for now…
Alan clenched his fist in anger, feeling a hate that he didn't knew he had. However, a couple of coughs called his attention to his right, and saw the dying body of Daichi, being held by Chisato.
"Master! Master Daichi!" exclaimed Chisato, as she held her master with both hands.

Daichi opened his eyes and looked at the redhead samurai.
"Chisato, remember that a Shiranui will never give up, no matter the cost."
"Master!" She exclaimed, as Alan just stood and watch.
"When our attacks clashed, I saw that you doubt in the last second. As a samurai, you can't doubt, or it will cost your life."
"Master, please don't talk anymore. You need to keep your strength." Chisato said, as tears formed in her eyes and began to roll through her cheeks.
"Hang in there!" said Alan. "I will bring Karoita. I'm sure she and I will be able to heal him. And if not, we will search for the Crystal Shard and open a portal and bring everyone her and-"
"It's… no use…" Daichi interrupted him. "I…I know my time has come… I helped with the annihilation of our people, so this ending is…what I would have expected."
"W-what are you talking about?!" Alan exclaimed, starting to feel desperate. "You need to live! That way, you can pay all your wrong doings! You ne-"
"It's ok, human… this is the end for me. I am ready…to go with my ancestors. It seems, this was…my destiny…"
Alan looked at Daichi in shock, fear and anger, feeling completely useless at this moment. Destiny? Was this his destiny? So does that mean that he can't fight back against his destiny?
"Human….no, Keyblade Champion…I have a favor to ask you…" Daichi started, causing Alan to look at him again. "…I leave my student with you…protect her, and she will protect you. I am sure she will be able to help you in your quest. Please, I leave my most precious thing with you, and my…hopes from the future. I leave…the destiny of this beautiful world…to you…"
Alan remained silent.
"Chisato…" Daichi started, before he cough badly, puking some blood in the process.
"Master Daichi!" Chisato exclaimed in fear, not knowing what to do. Then, Daichi raised his right hand, that still held his sword, and offered it to her.
"My time has come… I will go with our ancestors. You…are the legacy of the Shiranui Clan. I leave…my hopes…and dreams…to you."
Chisato took the sword, and held it with her right hand, and she looked at it. Daichi coughed again, causing her to look at him again.
"Master!"
"Chisato…" said the dying samurai, as blood was still leaving his body. "You have to accept my death like I do. Let it be a part of your experience in your growth as a warrior. The hopes and dreams of all the Shiranui are with you. Live your life as you see fit… Good luck, Chisat-!"
Daichi began to cough even more blood, causing both teen to panic.
"Master Daichi!" Chisato exclaimed again. She didn't want to accept…but in her heart she knew…it was time.
Daichi felt life leaving. He raised his left hand towards his student, as he lost his eye sight in that moment.
"C-Chisato…give me your hand." He said, as the redhead answer and hold his hand with her left one.
"Master…" she said in desperation.
Daichi smiled, and closed his eyes, as a tear rolled from his eyes.
…and then, his head drop to the side…and his aura disappeared.
…he was dead.
"NO!" Exclaimed Chisato, as she released an anguish scream. "Don't leave me alone, Master!"
Alan just stood there, eyes wide open, as he saw Chisato crying on her Master's dead body. Seeing that, he couldn't help to think…that he failed.
He promised to her that they will save her Master…and yet, he had died, right in front of them.
'Why…? Why did I fail…even when I tried so hard?' He though for himself…but he knew the answer.
And the words of Zaladur rang in his head again.
You are…too weak…
End of Chapter 50
Chapter 51 Preview:
Alan: Hello, Alan here. Am I...am I still so weak? Does anything I do matter? Can I... can I change this?
Duncan: You are not a god, Alan. None of us are. So...we hav to do what is in our grasps. We will save...as many as we can.
Don't miss the next chapter of The N-Warriors: Shadow Realm Saga: The battle for Kyushu-Ho.
Chisato: In the name of my Master, I will NEVER give up!
Author Notes:
AND DONE!
Well, the battle with Master Daichi is over and, unfortunately, he couldn't survive. This will give a lesson to everyone, but mostly to Alan: he can't save everyone...but he will be damned if he wont try it.
So I used two techniques from anime: Saito's Gatotsu for Daichi's speciall attack, and Ranma's Hiryū Shōten Ha. They are not exactly the same, but they are similar enough for Alan to identify them as that. After all, it would be ilogical that the same technique was not invented by two masters in different worlds, or maybe they have have inspiration of them. Some techniques will be similar to their originals, hence why Alan's Anime knowledge will be useful.
The Archfiends are like Heartless: when they die, their bodies will rot while their souls, or Hearts, will travel to their castle in Palamecia where they will be reborn. Being killed will not work on them, so the heroes will have to work on a way to permanently kill them.
But then, if they are like Heartless...
Anyway, I hope you liked this chapter.
This is like the "end of second season" of the fic, and I hope to return with it in a few weeks.
I wish you all a Happy New Year, my friends.
See ya on 2021.
