Ara was more than exasperated. Earlier, she had received a key from Hermes due to a run-in with a certain blonde-haired pirate. The princess facepalmed when Hermes mentioned things such as speeding, trouble, and house arrest. These were things that they really didn't have time for.
Because of this and many other concerns, Ara found herself walking to the guest room that Ara considers to be CJ's. Last year after CJ spent the night twelve times in a row, Elsa had suggested it would be best to give CJ the one room. Over time they had even been able to tailor the room to her needs. From that point on CJ called Ara's house her second home. Her family didn't mind so Ara didn't mind either. The place got lonely sometimes with just the four of them. Why not have some company?
At the door, Ara stooped to look at the completely chained door with a head tilt. The way it was chained looked something like a cartoon. It made Ara shake her head before pulling out the golden key Hermes had given. She blew her bangs out of her face before putting the key in the lock and twisting it. After that, the locks made a clinking sound before coming apart, allowing her to open the door and head inside.
Ara took a minute to walk into the crimson padded room. At first sight, CJ was not present. Ara shrugged at this before walking deeper into the room, looking at all of the awards, pictures, guitars, skateboards, and scooters on display. The bluenette walked beside a full glistening red drumset with wide eyes. Her sapphire eyes caught sight of one of the highly reflective golden cymbals.
The princess paused at this. She had never been good with instruments and usually gets passed a triangle or cymbals during a musical gathering. However, she loved how they shone and how overall cool they looked. She subconsciously smiled as her finger reached out to touch the rim. Ara looked around for any sight of CJ, still not seeing the blonde, her finger grazed the cymbal ever so slightly. That touch alone made a sound that Ara could barely hear.
The princess smiled at that, finally removing her eyes from the instrument. When she did that, she finally saw the pirate standing right behind her. "Yipe!" Ara exclaimed, flailing and smacking her hand right on top of the crash cymbal.
CJ only closed her eyes at the loud sound before opening her eyes once again. She deeply sighed when she opened her eyes. "Ara...why are you here?" She asked her, seemingly expecting this, while her eyes gained a yellow sparkle to them.
Ara blinked at that in interest before getting to the point. "I heard that you got...arrested." She looked to the side.
"Pfft." CJ rolled her eyes at that before walking over to a part of the room that was blocked off by a black and gold partition.
She pulled the partition away to reveal a whole work area with a large desk included. CJ appeared to be building an electric guitar by the pieces and parts scattered about. "Whatever. Like he's a real cop. He's just a douche that has nothing better to do since YOLO doesn't apply to him." She said, rolling her eyes. "Just an endless life low life."
Ara frowned at that before saying, "Well, you know Hermes. He's a bit of a trickster." She scratched the back of her head.
"No, I don't know Hermes." CJ shot a glare at the bluenette. "You know Hermes. You know all of these people! Do you know how many of these people I know!?"
Ara blinked before nodding. "Right, right. Bad choice of words."
CJ nodded at that. "No duh." She said with a deep frown before reaching over to turn on her Bluetooth speaker.
Ara leaned over to see what she was doing before saying, "Don't worry about it. We're going to a place where I don't really know anyone either! And about this whole house arrest issue, I'll get someone to fix that."
CJ hooked up her phone. She tilted her head, choosing between EDM or rock. Eventually, she chose and turned on her EDM radio. Once she had that going, she said, "Yeah, about that. I'm not going." She stated with little hesitation.
"What?" Ara asked with a blink.
CJ turned back to her in her rotating chair before looking at her with a dead look. "...Did I stutter?" She said with a raised eyebrow.
The princess was taken aback at this. For a little while, she wasn't sure how to respond. "Y-you're quitting..?" She said, sounding as if she was nearly out of breath.
CJ turned back around. "Yep." She said simply before getting back to work.
Ara looked at her in shock with a shake of her head before an idea came to mind. "This is about Heidi, isn't it?" She lazily tilted her head.
CJ didn't seem to have a reaction. She just continued to work on her project. "Oh...You mean the blue-haired chick that got scared off by her own family..?" CJ shrugged. "Possibly."
Ara heavily sighed at this before saying, "CJ, come on. This is beyond us. Stop being so…"
"So...what?" CJ challenged. "Look, Ara, I can't do this! How can I fight for someone I don't even like!?"
"You used to like Heidi," Ara replied and folded her arms. "Before all of this, you were completely cool with her. Now you find out she's your mom and you're shutting her out! You're shutting her out because you don't want to face your emotions!"
CJ's eyes turned bright yellow at that. "It's not like she'll accept me anyway! She's afraid of her own kids! How is she gonna accept me! This is nothing but a cruel reminder that I will never meet my mother!" She shouted before folding her arms with a sniff. "It's fair. I hate her before she hates me."
Ara blinked at the pirate in shock. CJ dropped her wrench before her grip snapped it in half. The pirate went over and sat on her bed before flopping down on it. CJ swallowed hard, closing her eyes as she lay there unmovably. The only thing Ara could see is her breathing.
The princess took a deep breath. "CJ…"
"I don't want pity." CJ replied, a slight quiver to her voice.
"I'm not giving you my pity." Ara replied with a smile. She walked over to the bed and flopped down right beside her. "It's okay." She said as she brought the blonde into an embrace.
CJ's lip quivered. "I'm fine." She replied, her voice quivering even more.
"Yeah. You're fine." Ara replied in a calm and soothing voice. She hugged the pirate tighter. "You'll be fine."

Chirpy had been working in the kitchen for a few hours due to dinner and dessert needing to be prepared. She had made sure everyone had gotten their plates. She made sure Kam had gotten her cake. After that, she had to take food back to Audrey. She also made sure to get enough for herself as she hurriedly walked through the hall.
Now that she had gotten more skilled with the limited amount of magic she had, she began to carry very little and allowed clouds to do it for her. Interestingly, the clouds were mint green like they came straight off of a chewing gum logo. Either way, she was satisfied as long as she did less work.
When she made it to said room, she opened the door. Chirpy stepped to the side to allow the line of clouds to float past her and to go inside the room. After the clouds, that's when Chirpy entered. To her relief, Audrey was still there despite the pregnant woman trying to actively escape both the day before and today. That brought a small smile to her face despite how Audrey was feeling.
Chirpy walked over to one of the clouds and picked up a platter with a cover over it. She took it over to Audrey and held it out to her gently. "I made you a lemon meringue pie with lemon squares…" She smiled just the slightest as she held out the dessert.
Audrey looked up from her phone and mumbled thanks before taking the platter. She tugged on the pink blanket covering her and quietly began eating the dessert.
Chirpy patted Audrey on the head. "Don't worry. She'll be back." She said softly before walking to another cloud that held the beverages.
"You keep saying that...and she won't even text me." Audrey said with a sigh.
Chirpy scratched her head. "...Well...word is that the 'wolf pack' has it." She said using air quotes. "She was just gone for a day or two with Ama. On the bright side, that means she wasn't ignoring you purposely." She said, bringing Audrey a frosty caramel beverage.
"I guess...but that means she's probably ignoring me now." Audrey said as she took the drink and sipped at it.
Chirpy shook her head before saying, "Don't think like that." She said before making her way back over to Audrey.
"But it's probably true! If she wasn't avoiding me...she'd check up at least." Audrey said while shaking her head.
Chirpy tilted her head in thought. "I think...that she just might be scared. She'll talk when she's ready. We can't rush that. It's vital that we don't." Chirpy said before summoning her blue acoustic guitar.
"I know...I just want to know if she's okay and not trying to do something...extreme." Audrey said with obvious frustration.
Chirpy looked at her before her eyes went to the golden guitar strings. "Heidi is okay. Hazel texted me earlier today." She said before playing a slow, soft tune.
"Well-what did she say specifically?" Audrey asked as she took another sip.
Chirpy looked up, temporarily pausing her tune. "Well...do you remember when I said I needed to leave to attend that meeting?" She looked up at her.
"Uh...yes?" Audrey answered with a head tilt.
Chirpy nodded at that. "Well, that meeting was about Heidi. Long story short, in your dimension, Heidi had a kid with one of her past boyfriends. Turns out, the kid is CJ. Ama took Heidi for a whole day to explain it to her. So...now Heidi is hiding away in Hazel's room with no intention of leaving a blanket. Ama's blanket? Something like that." Chirpy looked to the side. "She's still pretty shook. I wouldn't worry about her doing anything stupid." Chirpy looked back at her strings. "Hazel is watching her in the meantime. Another goddess is there too."
Audrey nodded at the information as she finished off another dessert. "She told me about her...list...so it never really bothered me about the chance that she had something serious. It's just...I've never even heard of the CJ in our universe. Uma mentioned her a few times...but it was all about how she left with Captain Hook as soon as the barrier was lifted." She shook her head. "Heidi never mentioned her once nor knew she existed...and she won't." She said mainly to herself while closing her eyes and frowning as she sipped at her drink.
Chirpy blinked before saying, "That's the problem. Hades had Hecate erase her memory." Chirpy scratched her head. "Something about Heidi and Hook trying to leave the isle. Hades didn't like that too much…" She trailed off. "So...she really didn't know."
Audrey looked conflicted at the mention that Hades was at fault and looked away. "That...sounds like something he would have done. And with that CJ being on a ship...in the middle of the sea...Heidi wouldn't even attempt at that point. Not with her issue with water." She said with a soft sigh.
Chirpy nodded at that. "So you can imagine how awkward it is when our CJ is here." She said, leaning back in her seat and closing her eyes.
"Well...it's not like she has to worry about Heidi trying...I know her well enough to know that she...she won't do it. It isn't her place and the one that is hers is...just too far gone." Audrey said as she finished off the platter and set it aside.
Chirpy shook her head. "No. Honestly, neither of them will try. To be honest, it is important for Heidi to stay away from CJ right now." She said before standing, remembering she had her own food to eat. "CJ didn't like the information very much. She looked like she was about to punch a hole in something."
"As I said...Heidi won't try. Especially if she has stolen a blanket of all things." Audrey said as she looked at her drink.
Chirpy shrugged at that. "If they don't, they don't. I can see from both my perspective and Ara's so I know a lot more about CJ than others. I know that she's only acting like this because she's hurting. Unlike Ara, I'm giving her space." Chirpy said with exasperation.
Audrey shrugged a bit as she worked on her drink. "And Heidi's just scared and looking for comfort. I wish I could say that she'd look my way...but she didn't." She said with a sad smile.
Chirpy took her food to her seat. "From what I've heard, Hazel's been taking good care of her. Just like I'm taking good care of you." She said, growing a small smile before focusing on her food.
"That is...a bit comforting, I suppose." Audrey admitted, playing around with a strand of her hair.
Chirpy just so happened to catch Audrey playing with her hair. She blinked at that before saying, "...Do you know what's weird?"
"...Lots of things?" Audrey responded back with a raised eyebrow.
Chirpy's own eyebrow raised at that before saying, "During the meeting, everyone was...very opinionated I must say, I noticed something standing out in CJ's hair." She said, tapping her chin. "A streak, I think it's called…" She trailed off, trying to think of the proper name.
"Like...she dyed a strand of hair black or something? It isn't that weird...I had a few strands of my hair dyed in pastel colors." Audrey said with a head tilt.
Chirpy tilted her head, pondering over the idea before shaking her head. "No. If she had dyed it, it wouldn't be in the dead center, buried under a ton of other super long hairs. Not to mention, dye usually rubs off on other hairs. She's blonde. There would have been some type of rub off or fade...I'm an artist and I saw nothing." She said with a shrug.
"Maybe it was magic? Like uh...Queen Anna's streak of white hair, or how my hair turned pink via magic." Audrey offered up with a curious look.
Chirpy tilted her head the other way. "Huh. What type of magic would have that effect? From what I know, the powers she asked for have a yellow aura...which is pretty ironic since she's blonde." She said with slight humor before snapping out of it. "Do you know of any magic that causes blue streaks?" She looked at Audrey quizzically.
"Not...really. But an uncontrolled blast of magic can have any sort of effect. It turned my eyes pink when I touched Heidi's ember, and how Anna gained that streak from an uncontrolled ice blast. I mean...it could have been any magic, not just snow or ice magic." Audrey explained with a bit of confusion.
Chirpy blinked at that. "I'll have to ask around. Maybe ask the guys. See if they know anything. Knowing them, they'll probably say something that'll cause everyone to hype themselves up again. I'll tell you whatever I come up with." She said, putting her plate away.
Audrey nodded as she placed her empty glass down. "Okay. I just hope it doesn't make anything more complicated. I'd like an easy explanation for once." She said with a bit of stress entering her eyes.
"That's if I can get one." Chirpy responded casually. "Besides, it's time for you to head to bed." She said, turning back to Audrey.
"Okay...Hopefully, I can sleep with that noisy eater." Audrey said with halved eyes, obviously referring to Kam who was still hiding out in her room.
Chirpy winced at the thought before saying, "I can...offer you my room. It's pretty silent there aside for some wooden windchimes." She sipped at her drink.
"If you don't mind...or if the pink menace who messed with my dreams isn't in there." Audrey said, her tone turning dry at the mention of Pinky.
Chirpy grew a smile at that before saying, "I'll talk to her. Someone has to keep an eye on your health and since Kam is...still in her time of the month, I'll be the best replacement I can be." She extended her hands to help Audrey up. "I'm not heading to bed yet, so you get some rest. You get the bed. I call the couch." Chirpy offered her a warm smile.
Audrey nodded with a small yawn as she was helped up. "If you are fine with it...I'm fine." She said with a small shrug.
Chirpy nodded at that. "Don't worry about it." She said, walking Audrey all the way to her room.
Chirpy led Audrey to the partially open room before saying, "The bed is all yours. I'll be back soon so you won't get lonely." She said with a chuckle.
Audrey looked at her in amusement as she made herself comfy on the bed. "If I'm even awake for that long." She said while grabbing a blanket.
Chirpy shook her head at that with a smile. "Goodnight, Audrey." She said before closing the door and heading down the hall.

Hazel was laid out on the ground with a look of concentration on her face. She leaned down to the floor, checking to see if her card tower was stable. She had been working on it for some time. Ever since she had entered her room, to be exact. She was nearly finished.
That's why she was making sure she kept a well-balanced foundation. Hazel nodded at the cards before turning her attention back to the unfinished top. Backing up from the cards, Hazel said, "Mumoo, it's nearly finished. Do you have that other deck of cards I gave you?" Hazel peaked at the goddess from behind the card tower.
Frigg nodded and carefully handed it to her as she stared at the tower.
Hazel bit her lip while she took the cards from the other goddess. The tower wiggled at the slightest breath she made. That's one reason she took her time and chose her cards wisely. She squinted her eyes as she stared down the tower, gently placing the last few cards on top.
After that, she slowly stepped back from it. "It's staying...It's staying…" She said, the tower no longer wobbling. "It's good!" She fist pumped and pulled out her phone.
Frigg tilted her head as she kept silent as though it would tumble if she said anything.
Hazel, on the other hand, took a picture with a bright smile on her face. "Yes!" She exclaimed, bouncing a bit.
Comically, the vibrations from her excitement caused the once, large tower, to crumple into a pile of cards.
Hazel blinked at that. "...Oops." She said as she stared at the pile blankly. "Heh...heh...at least I got the picture." She said bashfully.
"I am just glad I am able to speak now." Frigg said with a sigh of relief as she got comfy on a couch.
Hazel giggled at that before smiling. That's when she tilted her head. "Mumoo? Have you ever stacked cards before?"
"It was never something I showed interest in. I do remember a few times that Loki has done it...though he mostly did it for alternative reasons than joy." Frigg admitted before her eyes halved at the end.
Hazel blinked at that before tilting her head. "Huh…well, I think I have something that we all could enjoy." She smiled before walking to her closet.
Hazel walked into her closet, digging around for something. Afterward, she came out with a flat rectangular box. "Have you ever played board games before?" Hazel smiled with a tilt of her head.
"No, we do not have such things in Asgard." Frigg said with a small shrug.
Hazel walked over and sat on the floor. "Even better! This board game is called Sorry. The rules are easy so you can learn as we go or hold onto the rule sheet." Hazel explained before turning her head to Heidi. "Hey, Heidi. You wanna play?"
"No thanks…" Heidi mumbled out from within her blanket.
Hazel tilted her head innocently. "Are you sure?" She asked. "Being over there with nothing but a blanket looks kind of...boring." She said, standing up to get snacks.
"I'm fine." The goddess said in a somewhat stubborn manner.
Hazel looked at the blanketed goddess with complete exasperation. She sat the snacks down on the floor before casually heading over to Heidi. To everyone's surprise, Hazel casually yanked Heidi and the blanket onto the floor.
Hazel placed her near the board with a satisfied expression. "At least be a part of the vibe." She said, putting a large bowl of dip beside Heidi.
"I'm just watching...and stealing this." Heidi said grumpily while nabbing the entire bowl plus chips.
Hazel looked at her with more exasperation before saying, "You're lucky I'm more into the pizza rolls." She popped a few into her mouth before setting up the board.
"Those don't have enough flavor for me." Heidi deadpanned while opening the bag.
That was music to Hazel's ears. She grew at smirk at that before turning to Frigg. "Alright, we're all set. These are the pawns. You have to pick out which color you want: blue, yellow, green, or red?" She tilted her head.
"...Yellow." Frigg said with a head tilt.
Hazel smirked before saying, "Alright and I am always red." She said, gathering her pawns and placing them at home. She gestured for Frigg to do the same. "The rules are simple. You have to go around the board once and make it back to home. Pull a card at the beginning of your turn and do whatever it tells you to do. Just hope you make it home first. With the right cards, you could get bumped back and have to start all over." Hazel explained, still smirking.
Frigg nodded at the information. "That is...not as complicated as I assumed. Well...shall we start?" She asked with a head tilt in the other direction.
Hazel nodded at that. "Yup!" She said before starting off the game.
After many cards pulled, turns taken, and pieces moved, Hazel was more than shocked to see that she had lost. Beaten by someone who had never played before. Hazel's eyes halved at the thought. "I...guess you won." Hazel said, still blinking in surprise.
"I did?" Frigg asked in confusion looking at Heidi for a second, prompting the bluenette to shrug at her, before she looked back at Hazel. "...Huh, guess I did."
Hazel, who was questioning her IQ at the moment, shrugged and said, "I guess you are a fast learner. It will be easy to teach you more games." She said, smiling when she shook out of her shock.
"I suppose so." Frigg said with a small smile.
Hazel tilted her head at that. "What do you mean 'you suppose so'?" She sat back up. "That was awesome!"
"It was nothing, truly." Frigg said while scratching the side of her head.
Heidi interrupted with a soft snort. "Frigg is the brains behind the throne of Asgard." She said with a small smirk.
Hazel blinked before tilting her head. "Wow, running a kingdom is hard….I think." Hazel said with a few more blinks.
"It's only hard when you lack someone with the brains." Heidi said with a snicker as Frigg playfully patted her on the head and shook her head.
Hazel blinked at that before shrugging, "Eh...I wouldn't know, anyway. I'm not the twin they called when my parents needed someone to babysit the kingdom." Hazel said as she reshuffled the cards.
"I just...happen to know a bit more than my husband does." Frigg said nonchalantly, watching Hazel reshuffling.
"If she wasn't around...The likelihood is that Asgard wouldn't be thriving like it is now is very high." Heidi said casually, resulting in a disapproving look getting shot her way.
Hazel blinked at that, putting the board away, looking at Heidi blankly. "Okay." She said as she cleaned up.
Heidi shrugged and silently went back to eating as she tried to bury herself in her blanket.
Hazel, once she cleaned up all of the pieces, smiled. "Well, that was fun."

As usual, the morning came quickly. The sun rose steadily. The weak beams of light began to show themselves as time went on. By the way Hazel's room was positioned, the light would always touch her room first.
The sun rays bounced off of her furniture, garden tools, and mirrors. The light had even come in contact with her prismatic chandelier, causing rainbow-like patterns to for on her walls. Hazel woke up as soon as the sunlight touched her face. She, unlike everyone else, was full of energy.
Hazel sat up in her bed and stretched. After that, she shook her head. Now, it was time to get fully ready for the day. She blasted into the bathroom, blasted back out, and smirked at herself. She looked at the time and saw that it read 6:00, prompting her to smile at that.
That's when the rubynette looked around the room. Hazel made up her bed. After that, she looked at her daily checklist. She nodded at the list she had to complete. Even though she had plans, she was still going to cater to Heidi's needs.
Ah. Speaking of Heidi's needs…
Hazel tapped Heidi on the shoulder. "Heidi...Heidi...time to wake up…" She said to the sleeping goddess.
"No." Heidi mumbled simply before burying her head back in her blanket.
"Yeah." Hazel replied as she pulled the blanket back to allow the sunlight in. "Come on, Heidi. It's a beautiful day. You can almost smell the photosynthesis." She said in almost a dream-like manner.
Heidi snatched the blanket back and covered herself again. "No...It's too bright…" She mumbled with a bit of annoyance.
Hazel chuckled, seeming to back off. "It's supposed to be bright. It's daylight!" She smiled at her.
"Stop...Just give me...five more...hours." Heidi said with a yawn as she tried to get cozy.
Hazel looked at the bluenette in exasperation. "Welp. Time to use these arms for more than attending to gardens." She said before picking Heidi up. What's worse, she carried her baby style. "Let's go eat. You must be starved."
"I'm fine." Heidi said in a grumpy manner.
"No, no, no. The baby never knows what's best for them." Hazel said with a smirk. "I'm gonna make you some breakfast." She said, now carrying Heidi out of the room.
"Not gonna eat it, 'cause I'm fine." Heidi said while folding her arms within the blanket.
Hazel smirked at that. "Oh really? I'm cooking breakfast this time and it's going to be one of your favorites."
Heidi was silent at that and stubbornly shook her head at that.
Hazel nodded at that. "I'm making strawberry shortcake waffles with chocolate fudge, whipped cream, and extra strawberries on top. You used to love those during the road trip." She smiled at that, putting Heidi in a seat.
"...You can't pressure me into eating." Heidi said as the blanket fell a bit and her head popped out.
Hazel blinked before raising her eyebrow. "Alright."
After about ten to fifteen minutes, Hazel had finished a hearty stack of waffles covered in strawberries on one side and the other dripping with fudge. "You said I couldn't pressure you. How about if I persuade you?" She held it over.
Heidi set it down before her eyes flickered over to the hallway. "...You know that Audrey is approaching the kitchen?" She asked casually with a raised eyebrow.
Hazel's eyes rapidly changed colors at that. "Wha-!? Huh!? Where is..?" She looked around.
The only problem was, Hazel turned around to see no Audrey. Even weirder, all of Heidi's waffles were gone. Every last bit of them. Seeing what happened, Hazel said, "...I knew you were hungry." A satisfied smile crept to her face.
"Nah, that was a random dog that flew through." Heidi said with a small shrug as she subtly hid her hand under the table.
Hazel nodded at that with a smug look. "Oh really? Why don't I see a mess of whipped cream and chocolate then?"
"Kirby is well trained?" Heidi offered up with a head tilt.
Hazel folded her arms. "Kirby's a kid." She still wore a smug look.
"Still a hellhound though, and they have ways about getting food with ease." Heidi pointed out while looking around.
Hazel rolled her eyes before getting a wet wipe. She cleaned off the table and even got some chocolate spots off of Heidi's face. "Lemme see your hands. She said, holding up a disinfectant wipe.
Heidi casually lifted one up and shrugged before going about her gazing as she ignored the fact that Hazel had said 'hands' not just hand.
Hazel wiped off the one before reaching out her own hand. "Other hand?" She asked with a raised eyebrow."
"Huh?" Heidi asked as if she hadn't heard her.
"You have two hands! I want to see the other one!" Hazel said with exasperation.
"The other one is fine." The bluenette said simply while looking elsewhere.
Hazel hustled before straight up stealing Heidi's other hand to reveal… "Ha, ha! I knew it." She chuckled, seeing the chocolate covered hand.
Heidi simply stared at her before slowly lowering into the blanket so that her face was hidden again.
Hazel cleaned off Heidi's hand with a shake of her head and a smile. "Did...you want your hot cocoa that came with it?" She asked innocently.
While Heidi's head was buried, the woman huffed and gave a thumbs up, clearly showing she had given up or at least somewhat given up, at that point.
Hazel's smile widened before doing something interesting. She reached over to grab the cocoa the put the cocoa inside of Heidi's blanket hole.
"You got it?" Hazel asked the goddess in the blanket
"Yes." Heidi mumbled with a 'hmph', probably due to the fact that she had given in, and silently began sipping it.
Hazel left deeper into the kitchen at that. She still had to make herself something to eat. Because of this, she only checked on Heidi every five minutes.
Once Hazel had finished her food, she went over to Heidi just to check on her. "...Are you done yet?" She asked peppily.
"Yes, I am," Heidi said as she reached out and set the cup down before she went back into her blanket.
Hazel smiled at that before, once again, picking the bluenette up and heading back to the room. "We are just like a family!" Hazel started. "I despite your age, I was here first so I am big sis and you are baby sis." Hazel said with a pleasant smile.
"No I'm not. I just wanna go back to bed." Heidi replied in a complainant tone.
Hazel chuckled at that. "I'll put you back to bed, sis. We just have to get there first." She said, with a shake of her head.
"Uh, huh. Watch, somebody is gonna be awake at this...bleh, hour...and they are gonna flag us down." Heidi said in a grumpy manner as she let out a yawn.
Hazel tilted her head at the thought. "If they do, I get to show off my new baby sis!" She said with a smile.
"Or making them think that you are hauling around a body." Heidi mumbled mainly to herself.
"I heard that and you are a body. You're part dead." Hazel said, glancing down at her.
"But carrying around a body-shaped blanket? Eh...You get what I'm inferring." Heidi said with a shrug.
Hazel blinked at that. "Maybe it's the way I'm carrying you..?" She tilted her head.
"Probably...Makes it look as though...you are disposing of a body." Heidi said with another yawn.
"True." Hazel said with a nod. "Very true." Hazel looked down at her with mild annoyance. "Maybe if you stuck your head out it wouldn't look as bad." She said in a deadpan.
"Nah...I'm quite comfy like this." Heidi said with a snicker.
Hazel squinted her eyes. "Alright, turtle. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Poke your head out!" She said with a pout.
"Never. I'm happy like this." Heidi said with a huff.
"And you've chosen the hard way," Hazel said, stopping and sticking her hand inside of Heidi's blanket hole. "Come...here!"
"You know I can bite, right?" Heidi asked lazily while casually avoiding her hand.
Hazel frowned before looking into the hole. "If you bite me I will bite you back!"
Thankfully, that's when Ara decided to greet her sister. She paused at the scene playing out before her before saying, "Um...good morning, Hazel. What's...this?" She said gesturing to the current…scene.
Hazel blinked at Ara before resuming. "I'm trying to get this turtle out of its shell." She said with a grumble.
Ara's head tilted and her eyebrow raised. She peered into the hole Hazel seemed to be fighting with. She caught the sight of blue hair before nodding in understanding. "Ah. Good morning, Heidi. I thought Hazel meant an actual turtle."
"I can be a turtle if she wants...a snapping turtle that is," Heidi said in a casual manner.
Hazel rolled her eyes before saying, "You're not the only one that's about to snap." She took her hand out and used it to support Heidi again.
Ara shook her head at the two of them. "You two should quit it. It's too early for bickering." She smiled at both of them.
Hazel looked at the blanket in annoyance. "She's only mad because I woke her up to eat. That's it! I wake her up, take care of her, make food, and a snapping turtle is what I get!" She said dramatically, prompting Ara to give her a half eyed expression.
"You'd get different response if you gave me five more hours," Heidi said with a shrug.
"Who makes breakfast at eleven o'clock!?" Hazel questioned, continuing the trek to her room.
"A bunch of people?" Heidi deadpanned with a yawn.
"My room. My rules." Hazel deadpanned in return. "I wake up when the sun does and so will you...at least to eat. Afterward you can go back to sleep just like now."
"Then you can tote me back and forth all you want...because I don't wake up at this hour," Heidi said with another shrug.
"And you know I will," Hazel said with a smirk. "I need the exercise anyway." She glanced down at her.
Ara shook her head once more before saying, "You two have fun with your bickering spree. I'm going to go see Chirpy."
Hazel nodded at that. "Alright. See ya later." Hazel said casually. "What were you saying?" She asked Heidi.
Ironically, during the momentary exchange of words Heidi had decided to just go back to sleep and merely responded to her question with a soft snore.
Hazel blinked at that before looking down at the goddess in her arms. Her smirk grew at this. "Point one for me." She said before peppilly walking back to her room.
