Decided to go with a Yandere Kronya chapter. Since everyone loves a good Yandere.

Another thanks to T.S. Atlas for helping me out with the ideas.

Enjoy.

His students always struggled with night battles. It was understandable, but that made their training all the more important. His students needed to be ready to engage an enemy regardless of environmental conditions. Unfortunately for the young nobles their Professor also wanted them to get used to fighting in the rain as well, the endless roar of rain was something they only ever experienced from the inside of a building, they never thought they'd have to actually fight in it; along with the dark. The occasional lighting along with the many bright spells from the classes more magic capable classmates were their only saving grace when it came to light.

The Bandits they were attacking were not only to be used for their training, but were also high on the wanted list; their leader residing in the boarded up, run down cabin behind their front lines.

"Edelgard, hold them back. I've spotted an opening!" Byleth commanded the heiress, who nodded firmly at his orders; relaying the command to her classmates nearby. It was a risky move for him, not only because he had run out of Divine pulses due to a grave accident he narrowly avoided; but because he had heard that their leader was extremely powerful. The rest of the bandits were quite weak, but he knew better than to underestimate a bandit leader.

He cut down the bandits with ruthless speed, making it to the old wooden cabin. He kicked open the door, walking in and running his gaze over every dark corner. The interior was old and run down, what little furniture remained was broken and in pieces. Old, spoiled food and empty bottles both broken and intact littered the ground. The muffled roar of the rain against the roof and the distant sounds of the fighting going on outside helped to take away from the eerie silence of the cabin.

His gaze locked on to something slumped against the wall at the far end of the cabin, he cautiously approached it; gripping his glowing sword with both hands as he let it remain at his side. What little moonlight shone through cracks in between the boards that lined the windows and the unusually common lighting illuminated his path, once he was right in front of the large shape he recognized it as a body. Crouching down he lifted his left hand from the hilt of his sword and pushed against the bodies shoulder. Turning it over as lighting struck and revealed the face of the body, or what was left of it.

A look of twisted horror remained permanently plastered on the Bandit Leader's face, his throat slashed wide open, blood coated the walls and the floor around him. Dried blood covered the chest and leather straps of the Bandit Leader. Was it suicide? No, couldn't have been, the Leader looked too scared.

Byleth pondered briefly what could've done this, but his thoughts were cut short as the door to the cabin was slammed closed. Byleth shot up, rushing over to the door and pulling against it, it was locked tight. But how? There was no sort of lock on the door that he could see, even if there was he should've been able to unlock it from the inside. Was it a trap? The bandits had torches, they could burn the cabin down with him inside it. His class might be to busy fending off the bandits to stop them too, there was a lot of them.

He cursed his ignorance and reckless use of his Divine Pulses earlier, if Sothis was still with him she would surely reprimand him for his foolish behavior. Like she always did. He raised his sword to strike against the wooden door, swinging it down only for it to bounce off; the door glowing faintly. It had been reinforced with magic, but what kind of magic it was he did not know.

Byleth stepped back from the door, looking around for another way out of the wooden cabin. The fighting was still going on outside, so his students wouldn't be able to assist him anytime soon. He noticed the faint moonlight had grown dimmer, the storm clouds must be obscuring it now.

The sound of glass slowly crunching underneath someone's foot caused Byleth to whip around to look at the source, his sword in front of him. It had gotten darker, and he could barely see anything.

A flash of lighting offered him some reprieve, but it only made his blood run cold as he briefly caught a glimpse of a figure standing right in front of him. The figure had glowing eyes, and from the brief moment he had to look the person had a very sinister grin on their face. He looked around, keeping his ears open for any auditory clue to the stranger's whereabouts.

Suddenly, he felt the cold steel of a dagger press against his throat, forcing him to raise his head instinctively. Someone pressed up against his back, TOO close perhaps. The back of his neck was tickled from soft hair as an eerily seductive voice whispered in his ear.

"Professooorrrr~"

Byleth let out a low grumble.

"Kronya..."

The brazenly clothed killer giggled in his ear. Sliding the dagger away from his throat slowly, and in such a manner that the flat end slid against the underside of his chin. Byleth stepped forward, turning around to face Kronya. Whose glowing eyes pierced the thick darkness. By now his eyes had adjusted to the darkness, and he was able to just barely make out her figure. Having not change a bit since he last saw her in that forest last month.

Kronya was holding her hands behind her back innocently as she grinned up at the stoic man. "Is that anyway to greet your beloved student, Professor~?"

"Student, yes. Beloved..." Byleth trailed off, Kronya faking a pout.

"How rude, and to think I went through all this trouble just to have a chat with you..." Her evil smile returned to her pale face. "But that sort of coldness is what I expected from the Ashen Demon..."

Byleth's eyes widened, how did she know about that? No one should know about that, not unless they were actively trying to dig up information about him. Kronya's smile only seemed to grow wider and more crooked as she observed his distress, narrowing her eyes. Kronya took a step towards him.

"Are you surprised? I sure was when I discovered that little nickname of yours..." She placed both hands on his chest, and stood up on her toes to bring her face closer to his as he looked down at her; a light blush upon her pale cheeks.

"I wonder what horrific event transpired...To earn you such a beautiful title, Ashen Demon." She purred his infamous nickname with aroused glee, her breathing growing heavier; her sweet smelling breath brushing against his face as she stared lovingly into his eyes. Byleth didn't respond, not wanting to further Kronya's teasing. But his silence did not deter her, she kept going. Pushing off his chest lightly, slowly walking around him to his backside as she talked.

"Ya know...Me and you aren't so different, Ashen Demon."

Byleth followed her movements with his eyes until she went behind him, to which he glanced over his shoulder at her.

"I'm nothing like you..." Byleth stated, Kronya practically jumped on his back at his response; wrapping her arms around his neck and pressing her lips against his ear.

"Are you sure about that? We've both killed lots of innocent people after all...We've both lied, and deceived those around us." Kronya whispered into his ear. Byleth remained steadfast as she leapt onto his back, hardly budging; but readjusting himself for balance. He turned his head to look at her as she clung to his back, all too aware that she still had a dagger in her hand.

"I've only killed those who deserved death." Byleth replied to her statement, Kronya only giggling in response.

"Like bandits? How can you be so sure they deserved death?"

"Because their bandits."

Kronya's smile still did not waiver, giggling again. "Were they not just trying to live the life dealt to them? I'm sure they all got the short stick, and had to resort to a barbaric lifestyle to survive."

"There are plenty of other ways to get out of a bad lifestyle."

"Not everyone is as headstrong as you, Ashen Demon. Desperate times can create desperate people...Have you never thought to think that these bandits might be people with a family?"

Byleth froze, he hadn't thought of that. Bandits were scum, lowlife thieves who leeched off of others. To him, that was all he needed to know. Everything else was irrelevant. But the more Kronya spoke the more the reality set in that these were people, some of them with families that weren't even connected to the bandit lifestyle at all. Byleth's gaze returned to the bloodied Bandit Leader slumped against the wall.

"Did HE have a family?" Byleth asked the Agarthian killer hanging from his back, he felt her shrug.

"Who knows, from my perspective he was a feeble worm who bit off more then he could chew. I did stumble upon a heartfelt letter but..." Kronya practically crawled onto his shoulders and held his head in both of her hands, leaning down to stare at him upside down. "...A demon like you wouldn't care much about that, hm?" Byleth glared at her, Kronya shivering in response.

"Yes...Such a lovely gaze, I can just barely see it...That beautiful, look you give to someone before you're about to kill them...If only I could experience it for myself!" Kronya leapt off his shoulders and into the dark rafters of the cabin, landing in front of him with deadly grace, slowly rising up until she stood straight and firm.

"What do you want, Kronya." Byleth asked the long overdue question. Kronya once again giggling in response.

"A little too late to ask me that, don't you think? Or is it not obvious?" She approached him again, pointing the tip of her dagger at him and pushing it against his chest lightly.

"You."

Byleth didn't respond, not budging when she pushed the dagger against his breastplate either.

"Me?"

Kronya nodded slowly, staring up at him with her glowing eyes. "I want everything. I want to know everything about you, from how you think, to how you act..." She brought herself closer to him and licked his cheek. "...To how you taste...I want it all~"

"Why not join my class then?" Byleth's offer seemed to take Kronya by surprise, but only for a moment. Before her devilish grin and sharp gaze returned and she hummed a laugh.

"You must take me for some sort of fool, As if you could convince the church to take me in."

"Do you not trust me?"

Kronya let out a laugh, throwing her head back. "Of course not! Or have you forgotten one very important detail!?" She swiftly brought the dagger to his throat again, gripping the back of his head and yanking it back, pushing the sharp edge against his throat.

"I killed your father!" Kronya grinned like a maniac at him, but Byleth only stared back with his deadpan gaze.

A heavy knock on the door cause them both to look towards its direction.

"Professor! Are you in there!? We've finished up!" It was Edelgard, the rain had cleared up and now only bright moonlight shone through the small cracks.

Kronya looked back to Byleth, her smile having softened.

"It appears our time is up for now, the next time we meet I'll have learned a lot more about you." She planted a kiss on his cheek before jumping onto a broken table and leaping into the rafters just as Edelgard kicked down the door rushing in with Bernadetta and Marianne behind her. All three of them sighing with relief upon seeing him.

"There you are! You've been in here for ages!" Edelgard approached him, then stopped upon seeing the brutalized body of the Bandit Leader.

"Did...You do that?"

Byleth turned to look at the body, shaking his head. "Someone beat me to him. I'm not sure who though." Byleth knew exactly who it was, but he felt as if telling Edelgard that Kronya had just spent the past ten minutes practically climbing all over him was not a good idea.

"I see...How interesting..." Edelgard turned to her Professor.

"We finished up, hardly anyone was wounded." Edelgard reported. Byleth smiled and nodded. "Good job, lets all return to the Monastery."

Byleth hadn't seen Kronya ever since their encounter in that cabin. She was hardly a thought in his mind since then and he hadn't planned on seeing her anytime soon. Yet whenever he went off alone he always made sure to double check his surroundings, especially when entering deserted buildings.

It wouldn't be until five years later, that he would meet Kronya again in what would prove to be a fateful encounter.

Byleth and his students, who were made up of students from all three kingdoms, were returning from a battle nearby the Monastery. The Empire was constantly prodding their defenses, but eventually they would learn to back off. The battle proved to be extremely difficult however, as Byleth had used up almost all of his Divine Pulses; he estimated he had about three uses left before he ran out. So long as he got some rest by the next day it should replenish.

He had gotten reckless with using it, and he knew that eventually this would have to stop. He was lucky he and everyone else made it out alive. That was all that mattered. As Byleth ascended the small steps into the main entrance of the Monastery he was stopped by the Gatekeeper.

"Oh, Professor! I have something to report!"

Byleth nodded, bidding his students farewell for the day and turned to the Gatekeeper.

"Follow me! I noticed someone dropped something, I didn't wanna pick it up incase they came looking for it so I left it where it was." The Gatekeeper led him around the main entrance and to an obscured corner. He pointed at the object, it was a standard issued Church knight helmet, but it was stained in blood. Byleth kneeled down and picked it up. He recognized the design of this helmet though.

"But isn't this...You-" He was cut off as he felt something sharp stab him in the back, he fell forward onto the ground and turned around. Being met with Kronya, giggling as she licked his blood of her dagger, she climbed on top of him and raised the dagger above her head, a crazed look in her eye.

Before she could bring it down he triggered the use of a Divine Pulse, rewinding time to when him and his class reentered the Monastery grounds. Gasping for air as he did, patting his back for any wound, good. There was nothing there.

"Professor? Are you okay?" Ingrid asked, standing in front of him. Byleth nodded, offering the blonde a reassuring smile. Ingrid returned the smile before nodding and walking away with the rest of the class.

Byleth locked his gaze onto the Gatekeeper. If Kronya had done something to the Gatekeeper, then she would pay; he was prepared for her this time. As he walked closer and closer to the Main entrance he didn't look away from the eager guard. Who caught his gaze and waved at Byleth.

Before he could make it to the steps, however. Anna stopped him.

"Oh, Professor! I was wondering if you had a moment?" Byleth stopped, looking between the red-headed merchant and the Gatekeeper, this didn't happen last time. What was going on? Before he could refuse Anna's offer she grabbed his hand and led him to her stall, handing him a box.

"Here." Anna smiled as Byleth took the box from her hands.

"What is it?"

"It's a gift! For always helping me out with my business!" Anna smiled with glee. Byleth raised an eyebrow, he didn't know Anna that long. But he knew she didn't give gifts willingly. He didn't reject it though, opening the box and being met with the sight of...

"A-Anna?" It was Anna's head. Anna's disembodied head was in the box, the bloody stump still bleeding as the soulless eyes twitched slightly. Byleth dropped it and went to go draw his sword, looking up to see Kronya where Anna was just standing. Before he could fully draw his sword he felt something sharp quickly swipe across his neck. His neck unzipping as blood gushed from the open wound. Byleth clutched his neck to try and stop the bleeding, falling to his knees as Kronya watched on with a grin.

Byleth triggered another Divine Pulse, rewinding time back to when him and he class reentered the Monastery grounds again. His hands shooting to his throat to check for any wound. There was nothing.

"Professor? Are you okay?" Ingrid asked, standing in front of him. Byleth nodded, offering the blonde a reassuring smile. Ingrid returned the smile before nodding and walking away with the rest of the class, again.

Byleth wasn't sure what was happening. Either Kronya managed to clone herself, or she somehow knew what he was thinking. His thoughts drifted towards their conversation in that cabin five years ago. Had she somehow figured out how to read his mind? He had to remain vigilant, it could be anyone at this point. He kept his eyes trained on Anna and the Gatekeeper, once him and his class entered the Entrance Hall he sighed briefly. But he knew Kronya, he knew she wouldn't let him off the hook this easily.

As Byleth was looking at every guard and soldier around him Bernadetta approached him.

"U-Um...Professor?"

Byleth looked down at Bernadetta.

"Do you...Have a moment? I'd like your help with something...In my room..."

Byleth froze, not Benadetta...Kronya wouldn't dare to hurt someone from his own class...Byleth agreed, following Bernadetta to the dorms. He would corner Kronya there, and force her to tell him where Bernadetta was.

Byleth entered Bernadetta's room first, Byleth walking to the center of the room, his hand reachinh to the hilt of his sword.

"P-Professor..."

Byleth turned around, his eyes widening upon seeing Kronya restraining Bernadetta as she held a dagger to the poor girls throat.

"H-Help me..."

Kronya only grinned as she stared at the Professor. "Long time no see, Ashen Demon...Of course this is the third time we've done this..."

"Kronya, let her go."

The crazed Agarthian looked to the ceiling, pretending to think. "Hmmm...Now what should I do..." Kronya's gaze returned to the Professor as she pressed the dagger against Bernadetta's throat, blooding already beginning to drip down her throat.

"Kronya!" Byleth cried out, Kronya shaking her head and pouting.

"That just won't do, Ashen Demon. That's not the gaze I'm looking for..." Her grinned turned crooked and sinister. "Lets try again~" With a quick jerk of her hand she slid the blade across Bernadetta's throat, the recluse's eyes widening in horror as blood spurted from the wound and onto the carpet, her body falling lifelessly to the ground.

Byleth triggered his third, and final Divine Pulse. Rewinding time back to the entrance of the Monastery. Gasping and whipping around to look at Bernadetta, who squeaked.

"P-Professor? Is everything alright?"

Byleth sighed, shaking his head and turning to look straight. His student's and those close to him were in danger. He wasn't sure how Kronya was doing what she did, but he was going to get to the bottom of this. For now, however, he had to put some distance between him and his students.

He dismissed himself from his class, stating he had to run some errands in town. As he entered town he checked his surroundings, eventually ducking into an alleyway where he leaned against a wall and waited for what felt like hours

It had just begun to turn to night, with the orange sky indicating the day's final hours were approaching. He felt something press against him from behind, as two arms wrapped around his neck.

"Professooorrrr~"

"Kronya."

A light giggle. "I'm guessing you ran out?"

Byleth's breath got caught in his throat, there was only one thing she could be referring to...Which means...

She knows.

She tapped her finger against the side of his head. "If your wondering, then yes. I know all about that little power of yours...Its quite handy, if I may say."

She pressed her lips closer against his ear. "But did you know it was a certain area of effect?"

Byleth remained silent, Kronya continuing on. "I almost didn't believe it myself, until I discovered that while observing you and your students in battle I was in a place I had already been in. That, along with the fact that you, the enemy and your students kept reverting back to their previous locations."

Kronya hopped off his back and walked around to his front. "Do you know what you could do with that kind of power?"

Byleth shook his head before Kronya could continue. "Whatever you're about to say I'm not interested. I only care about using it to protect my students, and those close to me."

"So I've discovered...But I wonder what you'll do now that I know everything about you~"

Byleth glared at her, which only caused Kronya to giggle. "Just thinking about it is enough to make me excited...You'll probably be terrified of what fate may befall those around you, maybe a little accident will result in the death of one of your precious students, and no matter how many times you rewind time I'll keep killing them over and over."

Kronya held her face in her hands as she licked her lips. "And once it's all over...I'll have you all to myself...I'll...Hm?"

Kronya stopped short as she looked around, she was no longer in the alley way, instead she was in the Professor's room.

"W-When did..." She was cut short as she felt the sharp end of a bony sword press against her throat.

"I think you're misunderstanding something, Kronya. You don't know me at all." Byleth pressed the edge of his sword deeper into Kronya's throat, but not enough to draw blood.

"Come near me and my students ever again and I'll..." Byleth trailed off as he heard something wet tap against his wooden floor. He looked down, Kronya was leaking from in between her legs, but it wasn't pee; more like the result of arousal. Byleth was a little surprised, not sure what to make of the situation. He backed away from Kronya, who turned around to face him, breathing heavily, her eyes glazed over.

"Amazing..." Kronya muttered before launching himself at him, wrapping her legs around his torso as she grabbed his face with both hands, pressing their foreheads together. Byleth barely managing to keep his footing standing up.

"Amazing...So beautiful...Thats what I was looking for, that killer, murderous look, that demonic side of you...It's so lovely~" She pressed her lips against his, slipping her unusually long tongue into his mouth and wrestled with his. The kiss lasting far too long before she pulled away, a thick string of saliva connecting their lips for a brief moment before it broke away.

"Very well, I'll join your class. But in return you MUST show me more of this demonic side of you!"

Byleth wasn't sure how to respond, having been caught off guard by Kronya's sudden assault and proposal. Kronya didn't give him a chance to respond either, smiling after a second of silence.

"Excellent." She untangled herself from him and stood before him, giving him a soft smile. A look that suited her.

"See ya later then, Professor~" She winked at him before climbing out his window. Leaving Byleth to scratch the back of his head.

What just happened?
