After Ara said goodbye to Hazel, she headed down the opposite direction. She had to go check in with Chirpy to see how Audrey was faring. Ara hadn't checked on Audrey in a couple days. She hopes there are no hard feelings. It's been a crazy week so far. These days, when is it not crazy?

Ara knocked on Chirpy's door, knowing they'd both be awake. "Hey, guys. It's me."

A couple seconds later, Ara saw bright green eyes looking back at her. "Hi, Ara!" She chirped. "Welcome." Chirpy stepped back to let Ara in.

"Thank you, Chirpy." Ara giggled, doing a mock bow.

Chirpy chuckled in reply. "It's nothing, my princess." Chirpy copied the gesture with a large grin.

Ara smiled at that before noticing Audrey. "Good morning to you also, Audrey." She said, walking deeper into the room.

Audrey glanced up from her book and gave her a small wave before looking back down at it.

Ara nodded at that before turning to Chirpy. "I take it everything is fine?" She asked with a tilt of her head.

Chirpy eagerly nodded at that. "Oh, yeah. Audrey and I have been doing fine. She gets a bit down from time to time, but she pulls through." She said with a smile.

Ara gave her a smile. "Good. Heidi is doing good too. I just finished speaking to the...snapping turtles." She said dryly.

Chirpy blinked at that. "Snapping...turtles..?"

Ara waved it off. "I'll tell you about it later. For now, I can see everything is fine. I guess I'll go and wake the boys up." The princess said with a smile, beginning to head out of the room.

Chirpy waved before she blinked. Then she caught up to Ara. "The other day, I forgot to mention CJ's hair."

Ara tilted her head and blinked. "CJ's hair? Why?" She shook her head.

Chirpy nodded. "I told Audrey I would ask. So...I'm asking you to go out and find answers. There is a blue streak somewhere on CJ's head." She explained, pausing for Ara's astonishment to wear off.

"A blue streak, huh?" Ara nodded at that before saying, "I'll look into it. Alright, I'm out of here. Bye!" The princess said before heading out the door.

After that, Chirpy turned to Audrey with a slight frown. "...Are you okay?" She asked, noticing Audrey was still not herself.

Audrey looked up and shrugged. "I'm fine."

Chirpy had learned to translate this as not fine.

Chirpy sighed before walking closer. "Are you sure there's nothing I can get you? Anything I can do? I know you're not fine." She shook her head.

"No...I doubt there is anything you can do." Audrey said with a small frown.

Chirpy nodded at that as she looked downward. "Well...there's nothing I can do to heal it. Is there anything I can do to bandage it?" She made sure she sat by Audrey to envelope her in a warm embrace.

"What I want is sort of impossible to get at the moment...I guess...just keep me company...and keep making the desserts." Audrey said, averting her eyes at the last part.

Chirpy smiled at that. "I know you miss her. Stay in the game. Don't give up. You're doing great." She gave her one last squeeze before she sat up.

Audrey nodded at that as she grabbed a blanket. "If only I could tell myself that." She said quietly with a shake of her head as she covered herself.

Chirpy perked up at that. "You wanna practice in the mirror? Self talk impacts a huge part of your mind. Billionaires talk in the mirror all the time!"

"Maybe later...for now this blanket is calling to me." Audrey said while pointing at the fluffy blanket covering her.

Chirpy chuckled at that before smiling. "Alright. You get rest. I'll be back later. I prep lunch." She told the pinkette.

Audrey nodded at that with a small smile. "Okay, I'll see you later."

Chirpy nodded at that before saying, "Alright." Before heading out the door.

She headed out the door with a calculating smile on her face. "What would Audrey like?" Chirpy mumbled to herself as she walked to the kitchen. "I could do a...pudding? Nah. I want to give her something new." Chirpy said with a shake of her head. She continued to walk while pondering deeply.

There was a 'thud' nearby before Pinky landed in front of her. "It has been daaaays!" She said in an over dramatic tone.

Chirpy, brought out of her reverie, turned her head. "Huh? Oh, Hi, Pinkypop." She said with a smile, still thinking.

"You haven't shown me any attention in days!" She said, laying her hand on her chest dramatically while feigning a pained expression.

Chirpy blinked at that before tilting her head in confusion. "I...haven't?" She nervously chuckled. "Sorry. I must have gotten caught up in taking care of Audrey. She's on her own until Kam's month is...over." Chirpy scratched the back of her head. "Sorry about that…" She chuckled.

"I have been...neglected." Pinky said with a gasp.

Chirpy turned to her with a look of amusement before gently taking her hands. "Sort of..? It's alright. I've just been really busy, but you're still on my mind." She said with a small smile.

"Promise?" Pinky asked with a pout, sticking out her pinky finger.

Chirpy brightly smiled at that before holding up her own pinky without hesitation. "Pinky promise." She said before lacing their pinkies. Chirpy gave Sera a quick kiss on the lips before asking, "Is that convincing enough?"

"Yes...also I haven't had breakfast." Pinky said with a deadpan on her face.

Chirpy chuckled at that. "Right. I'm on it. Come on. Let's catch up a bit." She said before leading the way to the kitchen.

"So…" Triple G said, breaking the silence. "What now?" He asked, looking around the silent room.

As of right now, the remainder of the group hung out in their meeting area. The large TV playing a series of Freddie's liking. Chester was currently mumbling to himself while typing away on his computer. JR was playing around with his virtual reality set, swinging and punching at the air. Uma...was in her room taking a nap…

Deuce, however, was daydreaming. He was daydreaming hard. He smiled as he continued his reverie. "Did you say something, Trip?" He said with a giggle.

Triple G turned his attention to the cat with worry. "Did you just...giggle?" He said with complete concern.

Deuce looked over at him with a distracted smile. "I...think I did. I just feel really good today." He said with a wide smile.

Triple G blinked in surprise. "Okay…" He shook his head at him before looking at Chester. "What's going on with you, Chess?"

"Business management," Chester said plainly as he typed rapidly. "You know. The usual. Now leave me be." He said as he rolled his eyes.

Trip blinked at that before tilting his head. "You're still upset about what happened a couple days ago, aren't you."

"Yes. I hold grudges and I don't let them go easily." The feline replied as he continued to complete his work. He grumbled as he typed, ears close to his head. "I mean, she said she preferred when I was stupid! I was never stupid!" He placed his computer down before reaching to adjust his tie. "I had the highest grades in all of Auradon prep! I was a mathlete and spelling bee champion!" He folded his arms. "I don't know who she thinks she is." He grumbled to himself.

Freddie, who overheard from her spot watching TV, said, "Whoa there, guy. Calm down a bit. I get it. Tensions were high. People were tired. Some toes might have gotten stepped on. It happens." She said with a shrug and slouched back into her seat.

Chester looked at his computer, still glaring the slightest. "I suppose…" He took off his hat to run his paw through his tuft of head fur. He deeply sighed before saying, "Perhaps I owe her an apology."

"It wouldn't hurt." Trip said with a small smile.

"Are you certain she'll forgive me?" Chester asked with a slight frown. "I'm having a hard time forgiving myself." His pupils widened as he looked down at the floor.

Freddie turned around at that. "No worries, my cat. It happens. All friends fight at least once. Sometimes more, but the best ones shrug it off and forgive." She said that before chuckling. "I should know. I've done everything a friend does not do."

Chester raised his eyebrow at that. "I guess that makes you a reliable source." He looked to the side.

Trip nodded at that. "Yeah she's...anyway. She's right. Whenever we find out where Heidi is, you can apologize and all of that good stuff."

Chester sighed before saying, "Alright. I'll look into it later then." He said before grabbing at his computer once again.

Deuce, tilting his head, turned to Chester. "Huh...you know, Chess. We've never seen you use your powers." He said, looking at him in interest.

Chester looked back at Deuce dryly. "Deuce. I don't feel like performing a demonstration." Chester's ear twitched before saying. "Whenever I use too many at once, I get kind of...carried away…" Chester slightly frowned at that.

Triple G blinked at that. "Carried away? How?" He looked at Chester in interest.

Chester turned to them once again. "I don't know. The last time I used them back to back, I blacked out. When I woke up things were pretty banged up when I woke back up." He looked up in thought.

Deuce nodded at that. "How can you get carried away by only using a few powers?" He said with a pleading smile. "Come on. Just a few?"

Chester looked at him with worry. "Deuce, I really don't know."

Triple G and Deuce both begged. "Please..!" They said, Deuce making his pupils dilate.

Chester looked back at them with halved eyes. "Fine, but if this turns out to be a disaster, I blame you." He said before hopping out of his seat.

The large cat hopped out of his chair and landed gracefully on the floor. He stood on his hind legs before saying, "Well? What do you two expect me to do?" He said as if he wanted to get it over with.

Deuce looked at Trip before saying, "Before you do anything, you have to go phantom mode." He said with an eager smile.

Chester blinked before nodding. "Oh, yeah. Right. One moment."

He only took a few seconds before his paranormal blue eyes glowed brighter in color. Their glow intensified before they looked as though they were on fire. The lights flickered as a whirlwind of blue energy surrounded him. His clothing appeared on the other side of the room as the whirlwind increased in speed. It had gotten faster and faster until...the lights went out completely.

For a brief second, the room was as dark as the sky outside. The glow of Chester's stripes caught his eye. They were now tinted with deep shades of red and purple as well as their electric blue primary color. Chester's eyes opened, revealing his blue eyes now tinted with red on the edges and purple fusing with the blue.

That's when the lights turned back on. Triple G looked the large feline over in complete awe. "Dude...you look beast mode!" He said with a chuckle. "I mean, look at you!"

Chester raised his eyebrow at that before looking himself over. His fur coloring had been darkened to the point where his grey fur was nearly black in some areas. Not only that. It was highlighted on his tufts to the point where it looked silver. His stripes, however, were in odd patterns that reminded him of spider webs. They were glowing the same paranormal blue shade as his eyes that also had been tinted by purple and red. The crazy part was his legs. All four of them faded off before his paws and appeared to be translucent. Glowing purple claws were displayed.

Chester tilted his head before saying, "Huh. I do look pretty cool, don't I?" He said with a slight smile.

Triple G nodded before pointing. "You have three ghost tails. Cool..." He awed as he pointed to Chester's three extra, translucent tails surrounding his fully visible, normal tail.

Deuce pointed to his mouth before saying, "And your mouth glows! You have a purple tongue and...did you get...bigger..?" Deuce said, suddenly feeling a bit nervous.

Chester walked up to Deuce, only to tower over him. "Did I? My teeth feel a bit sharper too." He opened his mouth, displaying his razor-sharp, slightly glowing teeth. "I can't see what you see, but I think they got bigger." His voice was slightly distorted by him talking with his mouth open.

Deuce looked over the large fangs with widened eyes. "...Yeah...they're...anyway, you look cool, but can you really do anything?" He asked with an envious look.

The even larger cat backed up and looked to the side with his flaming eyes. "I can...do this." He said, using his telepathy to remove the remote from Freddie's grasp and into, by accident, a nearby fish tank. "Ah...my apologies." He said with a smile.

Freddie immediately complained. "Are you kidding me!? I mean, really! I swear. I will skin you a-" That was before she turned around and saw the ghostly feline. "Whoa...that's the drip." She said with an impressed nod.

Chester, now feeling a bit proud of his powers, tilted his head. "I can also...walk through walls." He said before walking through a desk with ease. "Or any other solid." He poked his chest out with a smirk.

Deuce humphed while Triple G and Freddie looked rather impressed.

Chester tapped his chin. "I think I can also make portals, but I should probably change back now."

Deuce waved his paw. "Actually, I would love to see this...portal." He looked at Chester with a smirk. "Unless you can't do it." He looked at the larger, and possibly more muscular, cat.

Triple G looked at the red cat. "Deuce, Chester doesn't have to prove himself to anyone...but I do want to really see a portal. C'mon, Chess!" He said eagerly.

Chester looked at them before looking at Freddie. She didn't seem opposed so he sighed. "I'm...not sure if I can pull it off with so many bands still on my leg." He said, looking at the three bands still on his leg. Deuce's smug face made him change his mind. "I'll try it, though."

It took only the smallest bit of concentration for Chester to open up a portal of a blue hue. It appeared on the floor, displaying another part of the world. Chester smiled confidently at that before saying, "There we go." Then he looked at Deuce with a smug look. "It seems I can make portals." He said with a mischievous cackle.

JR, who was still playing with his VR set, blindly walked over. "Take that! Then that! One of these!" He said with a laugh. "Is that all you guys goOOOOO..!" He screamed as he fell through the portal.

"JR!" Triple G exclaimed as he leaned over to peer into the portal.

"AH!" Chester exclaimed at that, looking inside himself.

Freddie tapped her chin in interest. "He'll be fine...mostly." She said with a shrug as the portal closed.

Deuce was quick to point the paw. "Oh, wow. Look what you did! You made the man fall into who knows where!" He said with a shake of his head.

"Me?! You!" Chester replied grumpily. "You were the one that pressured me and you say that it's my fault!" He growled, his voice sounding like two people were talking at once.

Deuce immediately shrunk back at that and smiled nervously.

Freddie waved them off before saying, "Eh...that doesn't matter. What matters is finding out where he is and getting him." She said with a casual shrug. "I told him about those virtual reality things anyway." She folded her arms.

Triple G shrugged at that. "We can start by finding out where you sent him, Chess." He asked the slightly translucent feline.

Chester lifted a faded paw. "I think I sent him...somewhere in the jungle, maybe?" He said with a nervous smile.

Triple G winced at that. "Which jungle!?" He asked while blinking.

Chester casually shrugged.

Freddie tilted her head with a smile. "We can find someone to find him. All of these gods around here has to have its perks." She said, placing her hands on her hips.

Deuce nodded at that while Chester said, "I guess I can ask around. This is mostly my fault." He said, all of his tails waving.

Triple G shrugged at that. "To be fair, we were the ones that pressured you to use them. Right, Deuce." He said, looking pointedly at the red cat.

Deuce looked at Triple G with a frown. "Why should I apologize?" He folded his arms. "He's the one that-"

Chester interrupted him with an otherworldly growl and glowing purple eyes.

"On second thought." Deuce started. "It is my fault too. I will also help." He said, nervously chuckling once more.

Chester smirked and shared a look with Triple G before trying to fit his enlarged fangs back into his mouth. Eventually, he settled. At least one poking out is fine. "I guess I could get used to this. He licked at his tooth. At least for a little while." He said with a chuckle.

Freddie shook her head at them. "Alright. Everybody move it! We've got a missing man to find." Freddie instructed with a smile.

After JR fell through the portal Freddie, being the only leader-like person around, told them to split up and look for help. It has now been ten minutes since they split up. Freddie has asked a few people. Most had no idea and some...she just had a conversation with. She made sure she called Ara, CJ, Geo, and Uma. They all sounded like they facepalmed through the phone.

Now that everyone is on the lookout, Freddie tilted her head as she tried to think of more people that could help. After a smoothie and fifteen minutes of thinking, she snapped her fingers. She could go to that doctor that has a thing for him. Freddie figured she might be able to do something better than the nothing she was getting. That's when she headed to the hospital room.

When she arrived, she didn't bother to knock. She just twisted the handle before walking inside casually. "Doctor, goddess, lady...where are you?" She said, looking around the cake filled room with halved eyes.

Kam emerged from the bathroom with irritation. "Where do you think I was?" She asked with obvious sarcasm.

Freddie shrugged before saying, "I don't know. You...gods have some freaky hiding spots." She casually shrugged before getting to the point. "Here's the thing. A friend of mine opened a portal and JR fell into it because he was wearing a VR set. I was hoping you'd know how to find him." She placed a hand on her hip.

"And you only thought about asking me now? Ugh!" The grumpy goddess stomped out as she whistled. "Next time contact me sooner!" She yelled as her massive winged lion landed.

Freddie who, by now was not as surprised as she should be, blinked and smirked before saying, "I take it that you've got it from here." She headed out of the room with another smoothie in mind.

Kam mocked her words with a 'hmph' before taking off.

Meanwhile, JR was currently in Madagascar surrounded by trees, insects, and...lemurs.

They were practically everywhere. The curious primates played with his hair. The lemurs seemed to like shiny things so they loved to pick with his watch. They especially loved his golden shoes. One of them nearly made off with his phone once. Despite all of this, JR found them to be cute and his only company for the last thirty minutes.

"You guys hungry?" He said, holding out a few cookies that he had taken from the kitchen earlier. "There ya go, Zoboomafoo. I know how much you like nuts." He said to a white and brown lemur.

The lemur hurriedly at the cookie and made a noise in return.

"More cookies?" JR questioned. "You know that too many cookies aren't good for you." He scolded the lemur before turning to a ring-tailed lemur. "Here you go, Julien. You've been waiting patiently." He said before reclining on a tree.

That was before he saw a rather large spider resting on it.

JR blinked at it before saying, "Whoops. Sorry, man. The tree's all yours." He waved the spider away.

The spider made a series of unnerving clicking sounds.

"What!?" JR tilted his head. "No way! Spiders can't eat cookies!" He told the large, spotted spider, holding the cookies away from it.

The lemurs tried to reach for the cookies while JR was busy doing that.

That's when he took note of what appeared to be a lion landing a bit of a distance away. He blinked before tilting his head, trying to see if he recognized the person. Turns out it was a woman. A very familiar woman.

"Oh, hi, Kam." He said with a wave before giving a lemur another cookie.

"Leave the lemurs, they are endangered and don't need humans ruining their instincts." Kam deadpanned while folding her arms.

JR chuckled at that. "Yeah. These guys were endangered all right. About fifteen minutes ago, we were chased by about twelve fossas! Oh and I also saved this guy!" He held up the red ring-tailed animal. "He's a ring-tail mongoose. I named him Tim and this is Zoboomafoo and Julien." He said, smiling while handing them another cookie each.

"You can't stay here with them, you can't bring them back because this is their home. I'm not normally a 'protector of the environment' type chick...but nobody needs these dudes running around. They belong here and here only...seriously, they only live here." Kam said while shaking her head as she hopped off her lion.

JR sighed at that before looking at the snacking animals sadly. "Well...I guess I-hey! Give me that back, you crook!" He said, waving his fist at the same spider that spun a web just to drop down and steal a cookie.

JR sighed, releasing his frustration before saying, "Yeah. You're right, I guess." He gave them one last glance.

"Good...now get on the lion before I drag you out," Kam said as she held back a sour look.

JR turned to the lemurs before dropping all of his cookies. "I promise. I'll come back to visit!" He smiled at the before, sloppily, crawling onto the lion's back.

"They just like you for your cookies, lemurs eat all day and steal food," Kam said as she hopped on with ease.

He shrugged before saying, "What can I say. Whether animals love me or not. I just...love animals. Which is weird since my dad is a hunter. Would you believe that when I was a kid I wanted to be a veterinarian?" JR said with a smile before looking around.

Kam shrugged as they took off. "I don't mind many animals, the monkeys just happen to disagree with me. If I were you...I'd stick to dogs or cats or some other domesticated species. Monkeys are a menace." She said with a huff.

JR held on tightly before saying, "I think I'm okay not being a pet owner. That vet dream ship has sailed a while back." He said, trying not to look down.

"Then by all means...look but don't keep. I've met a bunch of people that feel as though they need to rescue a squirrel or fox...even if they are perfectly healthy. Point is-they don't stop after that first one and next they own a whole zoo." Kam said with exasperation as she subtly took note of how fast they were going.

JR nodded at that, his eyes now closed. "Message received." Then he cleared his throat. "I didn't tell you this yet, but thank you for saving me. I really appreciated it."

Kam glanced back at him as she bit her lip. "It was nothing. I did more than anyone else and I had just gotten done with a shower! I had to blow dry using the wind." She finished with exasperation, tugging at a lock of hair that was still wet.

He chuckled at that before pulling her into a hug from behind. "If it was my friends I would still be stuck out there." He said with exasperation before moving on. "So I thank you. Like...I really mean it." He said with a smile.

"N-Not a problem. It was the least I could do since they didn't think to do anything." Kam said as she hid a momentary smile and frowned.

"Huh," JR said before he tilted his head. "I guess...you're not that bad after all." He said, not intending on moving any time soon.

"Eh...thanks," Kam mumbled in reply before going silent.

JR chuckled again before saying, "This is your fault." He shifted a bit in his seat, moving himself closer.

"What is my fault again? Kam asked in a clueless manner.

He smiled down at her. "Kam. Do you...are you in love with me?" He asked, tilting his head.

"Wha-What kind of question is that? I thought it was rather obvious." Kam said with a huff.

He chuckled again before saying, "My family is not the best with this type of stuff besides flirting." JR tilted his head the other way. "I was just making sure. Now I know it's your fault for making me feel the same way." He smiled at that.

"I still don't see that as my fault...but fine," Kam said with halved eyes.

"Do you know that you're adorable when you're grumpy?" JR said with a smirk.

"No, normally people just call me bitchy." Kam said bluntly with a deadpan.

JR inwardly laughed at that before asking, "So, how far until we get home?"

"We are approaching the destination," Kam said dryly as the lion began to descend.

JR nodded at that. "Awesome. As soon as we land I have some asses to kick." He said with a deadpan.

"Kick them all, I'd do it but I need to handle my hair situation," Kam said while gesturing to her somewhat frizzy hair.

He nodded his head at that before attempting to flatten her hair a bit. "I'll keep that in mind. I'll see you later then."

Once they landed, Kam hopped off and shot him a small smile before waving and running off straight for the bathroom.

JR blinked before saying, "Huh...I forgot something…" He stood up straight, thinking before he remembered. "Dang. I forgot to ask her to be my girlfriend." He blinked once more.

8888888

Hazel headed down the halls with a slight look of irritation on her features. She had to go get some things for Heidi since she didn't want to move from her blanket. That meant Hazel's gaming time was interrupted by errands. Whoopie.

Hazel looked around the hall warily while walking through it. "Why am I the one that has to go get this stuff? I have phobias too!" She grumbled as she kept walking. "Maybe I should get my own blanket. Maybe a box." Then she tapped her chin. "Actually, by the time I look for a box I could have rented a hotel…" She looked to the side at that thought.

Once Hazel entered the kitchen, Freddie greeted her with a casual wave as she sipped her smoothie. "Sup, Hazel. Where have you been?"

Hazel sighed at that. "In my room babying Heidi." She said dryly before going into the refrigerator.

Freddie didn't mind most of it. She only heard, "Oh, that Heidi chick is with you?"

Hazel glanced at her before shrugging. "Yeah. Did Ara not tell you?"

Freddie shook her head. "Nah. She probably figured that I wouldn't care to know." Then she tilted her head. "But the boys would love to know." She smirked.

Hazel rolled her eyes before saying, "Don't tell them just yet." Hazel said before picking up lunch and beverages. "I don't want Ara knowing it was me that spilled the secret." She said before heading back off.

Freddie chuckled at that and called after her. "I'll give you a thirty-second head start!"

Hazel smirked and shook her head at that. She walked all the way back to her room with a sigh. Not able to knock, or reach the door, she called, "Hey, it's me! Can someone open up?" She said before waiting.

Frigg happily opened the door for her. "Heidi, she's back." She called out to the blanket-covered woman.

Heidi responded with a 'meh' above all things and rolled over onto her stomach.

"I guess I'm not sleeping there," Hazel mumbled, concerning her bed.

After that, she walked up and held out Heidi's lunch and milk. "There you go. Food. It keeps you alive." She said with a shrug.

"Already dead, doesn't matter," Heidi mumbled out while burying her face in a pillow.

Hazel blinked once before shrugging. "Well...my job is done so, I'm gonna…" Hazel said, slipping over her game console.

Frigg gave her a look and shook her head before glancing at Heidi as if to say. "Don't just let her lay there!"

Hazel looked back at Frigg with an astonished expression. Hazel's face read, "But she said she didn't want to-!"

Frigg folded her arms and gave her the look that ended the silent argument. She pointed at the bluenette and jerked her head at her before staring back at Hazel.

Hazel frowned at that before walking over to Heidi in deep exasperation. "Heidi. I need you to eat." She said in a deadpan.

"What's the point?" Heidi asked, her voice muffled by the pillow.

Hazel placed a hand on her hip. "Because you're going through some stuff and food helps for some reason." She said with a shrug.

"No, it doesn't," Heidi replied as she rolled on her side.

"You don't know until you tried. Now, eat." Hazel folded her arms. "It's the least you could do after I stepped out of my comfort zone to get it for you."

Heidi rolled so she could look at Hazel before sighing through her nose. "Fine." She said with a pout.

"Thank you," Hazel said, placing the food and drink near Heidi. Immediately after she tried to go right back to her console.

Before she could reach it, Frigg stepped in front of her and turned her around before marching her over to a chair. She gave her a look that told her that she had an eye on the girl before she walked over and started fiddling with the gaming device.

Hazel's eye twitched before she exhaled. She walked back over to where Heidi was and sat on the floor in a deeper deadpan. "Did you want anything?" Hazel asked Heidi as if she was a waitress.

"Junk food so I can pass out in a food coma?" Heidi asked with a bored look.

Hazel looked at Heidi in irritation before saying, "Sure." She said in a falsely nice tone. "I'll just go out and get some. I'll be right back." She said before heading out of her door.

Hazel walked down the hall again grumbling to herself. "What am I? A delivery girl?" She said with a sigh. "I'm walking back and forth like this. I'm glad I'm wearing my fitbit so I can count my steps." She waved at Vetiver while she was passing by.

That's when she walked back into the kitchen. This time she saw Freddie and Uma.

Freddie saw Hazel going for the cabinets and said, "Back so soon?"

Hazel sighed. "Heidi wanted me to get a bunch of junk so she could pass out in a food coma. How proactive." She said sarcastically.

Uma tilted her head at that before looking at Freddie.

Freddie nodded and said, "Hazel's an attention hog. She doesn't like sharing." She said with a smile.

At that, Uma nodded and picked up her own smoothie.

Hazel proceeded to take the junk food out of the kitchen. "I'll see you guys later." She said dryly.

Uma nodded before waving. "Good luck in your losing battle for attention." She said casually.

Hazel blinked at the words 'losing battle' before shrugging. "I have to agree with her there." She said before coming back to her room.

She walked over to her bed and dropped all of the junk food there. "There we are. A crap ton of junk." Hazel sat on the floor and pulled out her phone.

"Yay," Heidi said with sarcasm as she began working on all the stuff.

Hazel sighed at that. "Finally some peace," Hazel said as she pulled up a game on her phone.

Frigg slowly turned around and folded her arms. "So, Hazel." She began with an innocent look. "Has there been anyone asking?" She asked, subtly jabbing her thumb at Heidi.

Hazel blinked a few times before pointing at Heidi. "Oh, um...one. However, the person that asked can't and won't try to keep secrets." She said, playing with her fingers.

"Well...perhaps it would be good for at least one to know. It may help out and make…" She jerked her head at Heidi. "...things better."

Hazel looked to the side for a moment. "I...suppose…" She trailed off, resisting the urge to run off elsewhere.

"Perhaps you can go find that one individual?" Frigg asked, holding up the controller as an incentive.

Hazel perked up at that. She looked at the controller then at Frigg. "Okay." She blinked. "I'll be back in a minute." She said before scurrying out of her room.

She went through hall after hall, trying to look for a cat. Hazel wondered how such a large cat could hide so well. Turns out, he was napping in the library. His hat lopsided on his head as he slept, successfully blocking out the sunlight.

Hazel shook her head at that. "Deuce. This is a library. Not a bedroom." She said before picking him up.

At that, he woke with a, "Hey-!" He looked around. "Hold up, where are we going!?"

Hazel replied calmly. "Heidi needs her stress ball." She said casually.

Deuce blinked at that before shrugging. "Alright then. Lead the way, I guess." He said, growing a smile.

After that, Hazel ran all the way back to her room with the cat in her arms. She opened the door and said, "I found him." She said, holding him up, exposing his fiery fluffy tummy.

"That's a cat," Frigg said with a surprised look while Heidi, surprisingly, took the cat and immediately began petting him as she stopped eating a bag of chips.

Deuce blinked at this before melting into it. He chuckled before purring loudly.

Hazel smiled at that. "Heidi likes cats when she's nervous." She placed her hand on her hips.

"Huh," Frigg said while tilting her head.

Deuce leaned onto Heidi against his will. "Stop it! You're making us look weak!" He told his body as he rolled onto his back, exposing his tummy once more.

Heidi smiled and pet his tummy as Frigg just continued staring in confusion.

Deuce's pupils dilated as his purring increased. "Ooooh...that's the-I mean, this is the worst! The absolute worst!" He brushed up against Heidi against his will.

By now Frigg was beyond confused as Heidi continued to happily pet the cat. The goddess slowly looked at Hazel as if to say. "How?"

Hazel tilted her head at that before saying, "I have no idea, but I do remember Heidi mentioning that she liked cats. She and Deuce here have a thing going on. Three years ago, whenever Heidi was stressed we gave her Deuce as an emotional support animal...that could talk." She finished with a smile, seeing Deuce finally gave in and looked half dead in bliss.

"That is...very unique of a situation," Frigg said with a head tilt.

"Yeah," Hazel said with a nod. "It's one of our weird things as a group, but it's one way we stay together." Hazel looked down and said, "Speaking of, I'm sorry I was so gripey, mumoo. You've just been very concerned with Heidi, and I…" She trailed off, looking down shamefully.

"It is alright, Hazel," Frigg said while holding up a hand.

Hazel looked up at that. "You sure? I mean, I could understand if you didn't want to be my Mumoo anymore." She sighed.

"Hazel, it is fine. My own son has acted worse...he even threw a fit when I said I was staying here. I had to have my husband restrain him just so he wouldn't fly here and drag me back." Frigg said with a shake of her head.

Hazel perked up a bit at that. "So...you're not upset with me?" She asked, growing a small smile.

"No," Frigg said with a small chuckle.

Hazel grinned at that before nearly tackling Frigg in an embrace. "...Can I play my game now?" She asked after a few seconds.

"Yes, you may," Frigg said while placing the controller in her hand.

Hazel smiled at that, gave Frigg one last hug, then went off to play her game.

Meanwhile, Deuce was purring to death. "Behind the ears and under the collar. I can never get those!" He said, still purring loudly.

Heidi chuckled at that and went about fulfilling that as she grabbed her blanket and covered herself a bit more.

Deuce practically died at that. "Yeeeeessss...my life's mission is complete." He said with a lopsided smile. "Are you feeling better? Because I am…" He said, purring even louder than before.

"A bit…" Heidi mumbled in reply, shrugging at her words.

Deuce tilted his head at that. "I'm glad. What if I ordered you your favorite cookies? Would that make you feel even happier?"

"If you can order it while staying here then...sure...I guess." Heidi said while looking away.

Deuce smiled at that before saying, "Easy peasy." He tapped a button that was in disguise as a stud on his collar. "Chester…" He called.

Chester paused for a minute before saying, "...Are you okay?"

Deuce replied. "Yeah...I'm fine. Tell Chirpy to make a platter full of Heidi's specials and a pint of triple chocolate." He said in a relaxed manner.

Seeing that it's for Heidi, Chester hurriedly replied. "Gotcha. It's on its way." He said before hanging up.

Deuce went back to relaxing at that. "I got you all set." He said, rolling onto his stomach.

Heidi smiled and continued petting him. "Thanks."

Deuce lazily shook his head. "Don't mention it. That's what friends are for. Even fluffy ones." He said with a chuckle. "Oh...quick question. I'm sure you know that woman who is currently passed out on our couch. Talkative. Everyone calls her crazy…" He trailed off, hoping she'd catch his drift.

"Yeah...Hecate is sort of...like my mother figure every other month." Heidi said with a small shrug as she cuddled the cat.

Deuce tilted his head before nodding happily at that. "Oh, you know her. Only met her the other day. I was bored earlier and I was wondering what she liked as in jewelry, clothing, etc…" He said, looking to the side.

Heidi tilted her head. "Hecate is...hard to buy for. The only unique things she ever asks for are...morbid. I mean...she likes everything black and sleep related stuff. She's asleep all day long." She answered with a thoughtful look.

"Really?" Deuce said as his ear twitched the slightest. "Does she have a favorite flower or no?"

"Unless it's a flower of death or with magic...she's not really big into flowers," Heidi said with a shrug.

Deuce shrugged at that. "Eh. I'm not really into flowers either. Allergies." He said before tapping his chin. "Does she...have a specific taste in guys? I'm just asking for someone else." He said as he observed his claws, glancing at Heidi subtly.

Heidi raised an eyebrow at that. "I don't know if Hecate is even interested in a relationship...Not many can put up with the dead bodies, sleeping during the day, deals, and sometimes even...really ugly situations. She lives a crazy life so…" She clicked her tongue and looked at the blanket.

Deuce shrugged at that and shifted onto his side. "Alright. Well, I'll be sure to pass on the message." He said, still playing along.

"Whatever poor soul might that be...just know that her last relationship was a one-nighter that turned into her owing him money every month since she paid him to watch their kid," Heidi said with a shake of her head.

Deuce tilted his head at that. "That bad, huh?"

"Wasn't the man, was the kid. She sensed the kid was going to grow up and be, by no exaggeration, a monster, and completely evil. So she just tossed it at the man and told him she'd continue to pay him for his troubles. She got the money from my dad since he even commented on how evil the kid was." Heidi explained with a small frown.

Deuce tilted his head at that. "Huh. Interesting. That explains why she drank until she dropped when she mentioned her kid." He said with a few blinks.

"Yeah because her kid is...the definition of messed up. You look her up on the internet and there's a new moron every day getting turned into an ugly animal." Heidi said with a sour look.

Deuce chuckled at that. "Yikes. At least I'm already an animal…" He shook his head. "Yeah. I get the picture. Totally insane." He nodded in a deadpan.

"She wants the perfect man and when the to-be victim isn't perfect...bam you have an ugly duck. Only one man fit her bill and he escaped many years ago...so she's just unhappily hunting. End of story." Heidi finished as she got comfy and yawned a bit.

Deuce, still in a deadpan, said, "I should have brought a campfire and marshmallows with that story." He said, shaking the chills off of his back.

"Hecate tells it in a more entertaining fashion, save the marshmallows for her stories," Heidi said with a small smile.

Deuce chuckled before saying, "I'll keep that in mind." He smiled.

That's when a drone tapped against one of Hazel's windows.

Hazel got up, opened it, then left.

The drone flew in, obviously carrying a plate of cookies and a pint of triple chocolate ice cream. It dropped off the plate, ice cream, and even a spoon before gliding back out the window.

Deuce smiled at that before saying, "Chess and his technology." Deuce shook his head. "Anyway, take a cookie break. I recommend making a cookie ice cream sandwich." He said, stepping out of her lap.

Heidi smiled in amusement before getting to work on everything.

Deuce watched for a moment with a gentle smile before curling up on the bed. He closed his eyes while he plotted himself to sleep.
