Fitz stared at Olivia as she reeled in another fish. She was quite the angler. Nothing like he expected.

"You are really good at this."

Olivia laughed, "It was the only way I could get dinner in Virginia."

"Are you serious?"

"No, my mom cooked every day. Mellie taught me how to fish."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"You said in your dream that Mellie dated Jake."

"Yeah and now he's dead. She won't have any questions about Kelly's paternity now that he can't get her pregnant."

"That's good."

"I'm glad he's not here anymore."

"I'm sure he put you through a lot."

"I was in denial my whole pregnancy. Seeing my stomach get bigger every month. The reality didn't really hit me until I was in the delivery room. When the doctor held Amelia up and cut the cord, I panicked. I was so angry at Jake, and I wanted him there at the same time. I was scared and hurt. I called him and he wouldn't answer the phone. I left a message for him to come get the baby. I told him that he and Abby could have Amelia. I wasn't going to keep being a pawn in his emotional game. He followed me to DC and he was always sending me pictures of himself with Abby and Amelia. I was bitter, and I wanted to move on with my life. I thought about Amelia every day, but there was always conflicting emotions. I love her because she's mine, and I have to remind myself that she is her own person when I think about Jake."

"You thought Karen could replace Amelia. It wasn't really about caring about Mellie's education was it?"

"You're right. I wanted another baby without having to deal with Jake. I was so conflicted whenever I taught my class. I had a baby at home, and I didn't have any idea what Amelia's home was like. I didn't know it was horrible. I really thought Jake was a great dad. I knew he and Abby weren't together and that was it."

"I think you're overwhelmed. I'm sure being a mom is different than being a teacher. We will have a nanny, so our family will be okay. When Amelia is ready, I want to be her dad. We shouldn't have any kids that are mine or yours. We are going to be a complete family."

"Okay."
