Chapter 69: One Angry Dragon
*****Previously In Camelot*****
"There is no more beautiful sight than a ghost dragon burning GIW agents," Mason snickered.
"Goddess Artemis, I pray to thee," Juliet cast.
Arrows made of silver were formed. She threw her hands out, sending the arrows flying. A line of agents fell by her hand.
"Artemis would be proud of how i'm taking care of these men," Juliet smirked, Mason rolling his eyes.
Before more agents reached the mystics, they were sent flying by an unseen force. More were then then knocked off their feet by a green rhino. Looks like and Beast Boy have joined the fray.
"We locked you guys in the castle so you didn't have to deal with the guilt," Juliet reminded, crossing her arms.
"You're not keeping us out of this fight that easily," Gar protested.
"We understand you wanting us to not deal with this, but this is our fight to," Ma'gann told them.
Mason ducked a blast aimed at his head.
"We will continue this conversation later," Mason said, the four returning to battle.
Mason made armor appear on his body. Juliet channeled Hephaestus fire. picked up fallen trees and boulders. Beast Boy changed into a t-rex. But they didn't get far when they had to scatter. Over a dozen anti-magic blasts went soaring in the air.
"DORA, WATCH OUT," Juliet screamed.
The dragon wasn't fast enough. All the blasts hit her dead on. Or rather, undead on. Her ghost subjects flew to her as she crashed to the ground, her amulet falling off. Dora was forced to change back.
"Oh dear," Ma'gann gasped.
One of the knights carried their princess to safety. But growls got the attention of agents that thought they had the battle in the bag.
"You will pay," Mason growled, the dragon amulet currently around his neck.
*****Present Time Battle*****
Mason stared down the agents with as much fire as Dora's dragon form.
"You do not hurt my friends without dire consequences," he growled, placing his hand on the amulet around his neck.
Few mystics and ghosts know about how Dora's pendant really works. Everyone just thinks that all it takes was for the wearer to get angry. Nope, that wan't it. The dragon amulet works by using the magic energy around it and in the emotions to make the change occur. It's why ghosts and mystic can use it so easily, their cores power it.
When Paulina and Sam had both worn it, the amulet had used the supernatural energy that Amity Park had been filled with from the constant ghost attacks. Even if Phantom hadn't been able to get the amulet off of Sam, there was no way that there would have been enough energy in town to power another transformation after Paulina's first three.
As the amulet glowed, Mason's eyes turned to emerald dragon slits and his teeth fanged.
"I'm about to give a whole new meaning to the term 'dragon breath," Mason glared.
His form changed. His feet and legs grew into dragon claws of blue scales with matching claw nails. His arms also became large blue dragon claws. Mason then grew to about twenty feet tall with blue scales and a stomach of lighter blue scales. Down his back formed green wave-like things almost like connected shark fins. The final parts to change were the changing of his head to dragon head, the growing of his tail, and the sprouting of wings from his back.
"REVENGE," Dragon Mason roared, his voice now dragon deep.
With a flap of his wings, Mason took off into the air.
"There's something you don't see everyday," Gar says, in awe of the dragon. "And that says something concerning it's our lives."
"Time to get rid of them these clowns once and for all," Juliet says. "God Poseidon, I pray to thee."
Large spheres of water formed on her hands. She threw out her hands, the water pouring out in tidal wave force. Anyone not drowned were badly beaten down by the water.
"Goddess Khione, I pray to thee," Juliet cast.
Water was swapped for an ice age level blizzard. The power of the storm actually froze the agents that had still been drenched in the water.
Beast Boy had somehow wound up in another part of Camelot. He had been charging through agents as an elephant and went a little too into the woods. He could never understand how anyone could do the things the GIW was doing to the ghosts and mystics. Queen Bee might have gotten his mother killed, but not even she would torture to the length these psychos did.
"This is even more fighting than what we did the night of that Light summit," he says to himself.
He turned into a monkey, flipping and jumping from tree to tree. It was pretty soon that he had to start dodging more laser beams.
"Man, are these guys ever gonna give up," Gar thought, jumping down and changing into a t-rex.
Beast Boy's dino roar could be heard along side Mason's dragon one. The ghosts, , and Juliet all took them as good signs for their side.
"Ma'gann, can I keep your brother," Juliet asked her martian friend, joking. "I'll make sure you can visit whenever you want."
giggled at the joking nature even in the middle of the fight. Usually, that was the job of either her brother, Nightwing, or Kid Flash. It was a nice thing to have, a sense of humor.
"Sorry, but he's mine," she answered, smiling.
"Can't I trade you mine for yours," Juliet offered, giggling. "I've been trying to find a way to get rid of him for years anyway."
"I HEARD THAT," Dragon Mason roared, flying overhead and lighting more agents on fire with his breath.
"Brothers," Juliet shook her head.
"I know what you mean," Ma'gann agreed, smirking.
flew off. She soon came across some agents aiming at a few of Princess Dora's ghost knight as they were distracted. Pushing out her hands, they were sent flying from behind the boulders they were hiding behind.
"I'd expect nothing less than you boys trying to shoot someone in the back," she said, hovering. "After all, that is the coward's way."
She landed on the ground, facing them. As they aimed their guns at her, she shifted into her white martian form. Their shock and newfound fear caused the agents to drop their weapons.
"Say goodnight, psychos," she told them, her eyes glowing.
She brain blasted them, knocking them all out instantly.
"Wow," a girl gasped from behind her, followed by the sound a sword being dropped.
changed back to her "green form" and turned around. Juliet was standing there, a sword at her feet. She had obviously conjured it using an Athena or Ares spell. Her eyes were almost as wide as a knight's circle shield.
"You're a white martian," Juliet gasped. "I thought you were a green."
"I was always white," Ma'gann told her. "It's not exactly a secret, the team knows. You guys are just still new."
Hearing more gun fire, the two looked in that direction.
"We will talk about this later," Juliet said.
They ran, or flew in 's case, back to the main battle. When they got there, the ghosts were getting more ground against the GIW. A line of ghost archers and hunters pulled back their bows. Arrows immediately appeared in their bows, then they let them fly.
The ghost knights also seemed to be enjoying themselves. One knight, that weirdly enough had a striking resemblance to the Black Knight Ghost of Scooby Doo, had taken three agents by their arms and threw them like human hammer throws. They had all landed in the trees, with quite a few branches sticking through a few of their limbs.
"You really don't want to make that ghost angry, do you," Ma'gann asked, as they passed him.
"Let's just say that in the movie Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed does not use as many fake ghosts as the viewers might believe," Juliet smirked.
"I'll need to remember to pass that little tidbit to Beast Boy later," Ma'gann says. "He's a pretty big Scooby Doo fan, growing up with a lot of old television. Just like his mom's show."
"Warner Bros actually got that idea from seeing a real group of teenage sleuths with a talking dog," Juliet admitted. "Little did they know that is was a group of two witches, two wizards, a guardian, and the guardian's great dane familiar."
"Earth would be at a loss without magic, wouldn't it," Ma'gann asked.
"You have no idea," Juliet says.
Suddenly, about three dozen agents charged toward the two. They were surrounded in seconds.
"God Hephaestus, I pray to thee," Juliet cast, lighting her hands on fire.
She and stood back to back, ready to take them on. The agents all started to close in on them, their guns just about ready to fire.
"Think we can take them," Ma'gann asked.
"Probably, but we won't have to," Juliet smirked, looking up.
Dragon Mason slammed down, in front of the girls. His roar alone made the agents all back away. Then, he loose a powerful flame thrower. This time, it was a mix of the green ecto-fire with the crimson red dragon fire. When he was done, there was quite a few piles of ash around them. It was hard to tell weather is was trees, or agents. The rest of the failed ambush agents had scattered.
Dragon Mason turned to the girls. He shrank down, back to his original form.
"No one messes with my sister," he growled.
"You know what, Ma'gann," Juliet says. "You can keep, Beast Boy. I'm fine with my brother."
"And it only took her five hundred years to warm up to me," Mason snickered.
