Jessica's Point of View

The day had finally arrived. I was going to go to Atlantica. Everyone in the Organization except for Larxene and Marluxia were in the Grey Area to say goodbye. By that point, I assumed they knew who I was and just didn't bother showing up. It was fine for me. I didn't want to see them anyway. I realized how much I was going to miss everyone. I wished that I could have taken Luna, but we both agreed that Luna would stay at the castle.

"I guess this is it. I'm going to miss you all. Thank you for everything." I said. I wished I had more time to talk to them individually. Tears streaked down my face. Lexaeus wiped them off and nodded at me.

"Hey, don't look so sad. Everything's going to work out." Axel assured me. I could tell by the way that he avoided eye contact that he needed to hear that just as much as I did.

"It sure will Axel." I smiled.

"Goodbye Jessica." Luxord stated.

"Goodbye." I replied.

"I'm sure you'll be back soon enough." Xigbar chuckled.

"Keep up with your studies." Xaldin nagged.

"Don't get into trouble." Lexaeus added.

"You're asking too much of her. We all know that Jessica will put off studying and replace that time with getting into trouble. Otherwise, she wouldn't be herself." Saix teased.

"Hey! I can behave. Quit being mean." I whined.

"I'll miss you dear. Try to stay safe." Dad sighed.

"I will Dad." I promised.

I turn to Zexion. "I want you to take care of this for me while I'm gone. Will you hold onto it for me and keep it safe?" I asked, pulling out my wayfinder. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Xemnas's eyes widen slightly.

"It will never leave my sight." Zexion vowed.

"It's going to be pretty empty around here without you. It feels like you fill up a whole room. I'll finally have some space." Axel joked.

"I'll miss you too." I laughed, punching Axel's arm playfully.

"As will I." Saix piped up.

"Goodbye Saix. Lighten up a little while I'm gone." I smirked before turning to Xemnas.

"Perhaps we'll meet them again one day." He stated. His steady voice reminded me that he didn't have a heart. I turned away from him without saying a word. Despite how much I knew I would regret giving him of all people a proper goodbye, I didn't allow myself to stoop so low, recalling that his Somebody felt just as much emotion as he did. I turned to Demyx.

"Ready to go?" I questioned.

"Jessica I-" Xemnas started. I glared at him and he paused. "Never mind." He walked away. I regretted my actions and desperately wanted to call out to him and apologize. If he hadn't been the one to decide that I was leaving, I might have.

"Are you sure you're ready?" Demyx wondered.

"Yes." I replied. I had tried to sound confident, but my voice wavered. Demyx opened a dark corridor. I didn't let myself cry until we entered.

Thank you TrimusicaDrag00n90 for favoriting and following.

For anyone who is interested, I've started fixing my chapters of The 8th Light and the 14th Darkness. I edited the first 5 chapters. I will be gradually doing this with the other chapters. When that is finished, I will work on The 8th Light and the 14th Darkness in Radiant Gardens and then this one. I was a lot more inexperienced when I started and I'm hoping that I can make this fanfiction series look much more presentable.
