Everyone was headed to the indoor water park for Rachel's birthday party. Ed was bringing Kara, Kelly and Connor with him once they got out of school and Diana was coming up with Amanda and Sonny. Hank and Olivia had Jesse with them. Adrienne was out of town, so Ed's parents kept Justin and Nikki for the weekend. Hank and Olivia had extended the invitation to the rest of Ed's family, so a lot of his nieces and nephews were coming too even though they were older. They all wanted to get to know Kara and Diana better and since the Tucker clan had now considered the Voights as a part of the family, they wanted to get to know all of them better too.
Olive and Olivia had both taken the day off, so they all headed up as soon as Noah was done at preschool. As soon as they arrived, they went to get checked in and went up to their suite. Hank took the kids and went to look around.
"This looks like fun."
"It sure does."
"I'm glad Mr. and Mrs. Tucker were able to take the twins."
"It's good that they did."
"If Trevor wasn't going to be gone with his mom this weekend, he would have stayed with them. Of course he'd be here and we probably would have brought them too."
"They were headed to Chicago, right?"
"Yeah. He already asked me to go to the Hamptons with him for New Year's. I'm thinking it's without the kids though."
"I still hope you two get together. You two are so good together."
"I do want more than what we have been doing but emotionally I'm still not ready. It's just that he is so good with the kids. The sex is absolutely amazing! Justin was amazing too don't get me wrong but sometimes I can't get enough of Trevor. There are no issues because of his age if you know what I mean."
"I do. Hank doesn't have that problem either and sex with him is the best I've had."
"So I've noticed."
Olivia started blushing.
"I am so sorry you have to hear that."
"I know how you feel though. Sometimes I'm surprised I can stand up after I'm with Trevor."
"I can imagine. I feel like that after I'm with Hank sometimes."
"I may not know where this is going right now but I'm starting to think that I do want a baby with him."
"Then I kind of think you do know where this is going if you know that. What if it happened now? What would you do?"
"We would raise the baby together."
"Together in the same house or separately?"
"Probably in the same house. He has subtly indicated that he wants us to move in with him. He made sure the kids have their own rooms at his condo and he gave me a key. He hasn't exactly asked but a part of me doesn't think I'd turn him down if he did ask. Although I would like Daniel to eventually be in the same school with Noah and Rachel. He and Rachel would probably be in the same class, since she's 6 months older than him."
"True but it's not like you wouldn't see us if you moved in with him."
"I know. What about Hank though?"
"Don't worry about Hank. He's fine with the situation. He would rather have you with someone like Trevor than someone who may not be so trustworthy or good with the kids. Your safety and the kids' safety is very important to him and he has seen how protective Trevor has been with you and the kids, especially when that guy was sending you those pictures and leaving you those messages."
"I'm glad I had Trevor for that. That was so creepy."
"Yeah, I can imagine. You did the right thing my telling me about the message."
"Even if the message hadn't been sexual, I probably would have come to you because you'd probably know who to go to."
"Oh, yeah. If I'm not around, you can contact anyone in my squad or even Diana if we're not with her and Ed."
Hank and the kids came back.
"They can't wait to get into the water."
"I can imagine."
"You two ok?"
"Yeah, we're fine."
"You sure?"
"Yes!"
"Ok."
Everyone changed and went down to the water park. A few hours later, Ed had picked up the kids at school and headed to the water park as did his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. When they arrived, they got checked in and went to their suites. Then everyone got changed.
"The Tucker clan has arrived."
"Yep. Olive, the twins are doin' fine. My mom loves havin' them around."
"Thanks for checking."
"Yeah, no problem."
"I just hope they're not too much trouble."
"She raised the 6 of us, so almost 11-month old twins shouldn't be a problem."
"We were all trouble but the middle two were the worst. Erin was the nosiest."
"Mom is still nosy."
"Yeah but wait until you two are old enough to drive or date. She'll be worryin' even more."
"Dad won't let Kelly date until she's in college."
"Shut up, Connor!"
"Kelly, don't talk to your brother like that."
"Sorry."
"It's ok."
"I know, I'm not dating until I'm in college either, right?"
"We'll see. You still have a while yet anyway. You're only 10."
"I know."
Ed kissed Kara on top of the head.
"When Noah and Rachel are old enough, I'm going to have a long talk with then about sex."
"Don't I get a say in it?"
"Ok, we will have that talk with them but I'm doing it based on what I do for a living."
"Yeah, I get that."
"I don't want our son to end up being a perp I have to arrest and I certainly don't want our daughter to end up being a victim."
"Being in high school, the guys are such jerks."
"Has anyone tried anything?"
"Not with me but some of the kids were saying some mean things when all that stuff came up last year with Cousin Eugene. I was trying not to take any of it personally but they were saying that he probably did what he did because he thought he could get away with it and he probably came from a crazy family."
"He does come from a crazy family and yes, he did think he could get away with it. Just because we're family, doesn't mean I'd protect him. That's what was so hard for me. I didn't know what everyone in the family thought of me because of that. He never cared whose toes he stepped on even growing up and obviously he still doesn't if he was willing to let me take the fall for what had happened. I have more respect for SVU after that. I was never their favorite person but Olivia didn't let me go through that alone and her squad did their job to clear me. If Olivia hadn't been there to stop me, I probably would have kicked Eugene's ass. I don't care if he's a priest. I could have lost everything I worked for because of him. I even thought about putting my papers in."
"Yes, you did."
"Olivia, thank you for everything you did to help."
"Unfortunately, I couldn't work on the case because of our relationship but my Sergeant came to me and kept me up on what was going on with the case. I did offer emotional support though. I grew to care for Ed but I knew he wasn't the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I'm glad things turned out the way they did though. He's still a big part of my life and he's protective of me. He never left my side after the accident until Hank got there. He's a great brother-in-law."
"You're not a bad sister-in-law either. I told you when we broke up that I still cared about you and I meant that."
Everyone else got into the water and the kids all went off on their own.
"How long are Erin and Dan gone?"
"A week."
"They left you in charge for a week?"
"Yep."
"That's scary."
"I don't mind. They're good kids and I'm glad I can spend time with them. I missed everyone."
"What are you guys going to do without your weekly poker game?"
"We'll survive. Is Fin coming?"
"No. Carisi is only coming because Amanda and Jesse were coming and he hates leaving Amanda alone after what happened to her."
"Who's watching Frannie?"
"Fin is. Amanda told him that if he wasn't going to come, then he could watch Frannie. It was easier than taking her to his parents' on Staten Island."
"Does Amanda have family?"
"She does but she's better off without them. Her sister has been in and of jail and she has almost cost Amanda her job multiple times. Her mother thinks Amanda should be more lenient with Kim, so she has a rocky relationship with her because she thinks nothing of having her own sister arrested. Her mother is apparently fine with Kim's behavior. She hasn't seen her father in years. The two of us haven't always seen eye to eye but we have gotten closer since she became a mother and I've been there for her throughout her recovery. She has said the squad has been more of a family to her than her own family has. I can agree with that. They've been more of a family to me at times too but now I finally know what it's like to have a family of my own. Diana and I have a half-brother. She's never met him but I have and he has issues. He's had drug problems and has been in jail. He usually only contacts me when he wants something like money. Amanda's sister is the same way. She always has some kind of plan but she never thinks about the consequences of that plan before she acts on it. She told Amanda that her ex-boyfriend raped her and got her pregnant. When he showed up, Amanda thought he was attacking Kim again and killed him. IAB was investigating it and Amanda was arrested. Kim had taken out an insurance policy in her ex-boyfriend's name and she was trying to cash in on it at Amanda's expense. She didn't care if Amanda went to prison and lost her job because of it. IAB actually believed that Kim was telling the truth and that came back and bit him in the ass because she played him too."
"Is she referring to you?"
"Yep."
One of Ed's nephews had Rachel.
"He is good with her."
"He has always been like that. He'll make a great dad when the time comes."
"How old is he?"
"He just turned 18 in September."
"He looks a lot like his uncle."
"That he does. He has the piercing blue eyes like his aunts and uncles all have."
"Ma's eyes came out in all of us. Pop's eyes are green."
"You do look like your dad though."
"Yep."
Then Colin came over with Rachel.
"Would it be ok if I took her down the slide?"
"Sweetie, would you like Colin to take you down the slide?"
"Yeah!"
"I guess it's fine."
"Thanks."
"Thank you."
"No problem."
Colin took Rachel over to the slide.
"He's your oldest?"
"He's the middle but our only boy. Our oldest daughter Brianna is 21 and in college. Colin just started his senior year and Claire and Fiona are 13. They're in 8th grade."
"Twins, wow!"
"Yep."
Olive went over to check on Daniel and then she ended up taking him on the slide, while Kara had taken Noah. Colin and Olive had spent time talking as well.
"Now he's talking to Olive."
"He talks to everyone. We're expecting him to go into education or something like that because he is so good with kids but he is overly sensitive and he can be shy sometimes. Brianna has had the same boyfriend since high school and the twins have been friends with the same guys since kindergarten. Colin is shy around girls his own age even though he's known some of them forever. He asked this new girl to homecoming a couple years ago and she said yes but she ended up leaving with someone else, so that has affected him. We want him to enjoy his senior year. He and his best friend, who's a girl, have known each other since birth and they went to homecoming together this year. We're hoping he finally decides to ask her out but he said he doesn't want to ruin the friendship if it wouldn't work out. We keep telling him that rejection is a part of life. That girl used him. So what? It happens."
"What is your daughter going to school for?"
"Accounting like her dad. He does the books for the pub."
"Brian handles the books and Shawn pretty much runs the place. He went to school for restaurant management. I was never that into it like everyone else."
"Colin works there, right?"
"Yeah but he'd rather be doing other stuff. He gets straight A's."
Colin came over.
"Olivia, can I talk to you for a minute."
"Yeah, sure."
Olivia got out of the water and then she and Colin went to talk.
"What's going on?"
"Most of the guys at school bully me because I haven't had sex yet."
"It's not right that they're doing that and it's no one's business but yours. Everyone is different."
Then Ed came over to them.
"You ok, kiddo?"
"No, Uncle Ed. The guys at school bully me because I haven't had sex yet."
"How long has this been goin' on?"
"Mostly since school started this year and it's mostly in the locker room."
"I told him that everyone is different."
"That's true."
"The one that's the worst about it is the guy that Samantha left homecoming with. They've been together this entire time. Everyone talks about me behind my back or laughs at me at lunch. I hang out with Monica all the time and they keep asking me why I don't go to bed with her. Sex isn't something I take lightly."
"And you shouldn't take it lightly. Don't have sex with someone just to have sex with them because it could result in something you don't want, like a baby."
"What hurts the most is that they ask me if I'm gay, which I'm not."
"That's no one's business either. No one in this family would love you any less if you were."
"They already think I'm a freak because of Cousin Eugene."
"Tuckers maybe stubborn but we are not freaks. You got that?"
"Yeah."
"Cousin Eugene is a freak. He always has been."
"If I have to come to your school to speak on bullying, I will."
"She will too."
"Should I tell Mom and Dad about this?"
"I would."
"That's what I was afraid of."
Ed went to get his sister-in-law and then Colin told her what was going on, while Olivia and Ed went back over to where Hank was. After Colin talked to Shannon, they went back over by Ed.
"Thanks."
"No problem."
"I didn't realize things were that bad for him."
"This is what I deal with on a regular basis. I think I may need to go speak at his school about the situation."
"Thank you for that. I just don't want him to do something stupid."
"I understand that. If you notice any strange behavior though, I would get him some help."
"I know. I'll let Brian know what's going on too."
"If Diana and I can do anything to help out, don't hesitate to call us."
"We will. Olivia, I will get you the contact information of the Principal at his school."
"Great."
"Let me know when you get it scheduled because I would like to be there."
"Absolutely. Some of the kids may not care about anything I have to say but sometimes I get through to some of them and I have had some come forward to say that they were pressured into doing something they didn't want to do."
Everyone kept talking and enjoying themselves. A few hours later, Diana, Amanda and Sonny arrived. Diana went up to her and Ed's suite, while Amanda and Sonny got checked into theirs. They got changed and joined everyone else. When Diana saw Ed, she kissed him.
"Hello."
"Hey."
"What a day! I am so glad to be away from work for a few days."
"Me too."
"I'm sure Fin loves being left in charge."
"Not really."
"He never likes it."
"I'm glad to be away from Fin for a few days too. He was pretty cranky today."
"I believe it."
"Is Jesse behaving herself?"
"Oh yeah. Anything exciting happen today?"
"There was a girl from a local high school that said one of her classmates raped her. Now he's acting like a real jerk and he and everyone else are making fun of her."
Amanda told Olivia about the case. It turned out that they went to the same school as Colin and the guy was the same one that was giving him a hard time.
"Now, I definitely need to speak at the school. Did you arrest the little bastard?"
"We did but Daddy is a lawyer."
"Of course he is. This is why I hate most lawyers. I learned to respect Trevor after everything he did for me with the adoption."
"Babe, don't get so worked up about it right now. This weekend is about Rachel."
"You're right."
They stayed in the water a little while longer and then they all went to change their clothes before going to get something to eat. After they had dinner, everyone went back to their suites. Hank, Olivia and Olive put Noah, Rachel and Daniel to bed, while Amanda and Sonny got Jesse to bed. Olive texted back and forth with Trevor for a while before she fell asleep and then Hank and Olivia fell asleep as well as did everyone else.
The next day, everyone got up and met for breakfast. After breakfast, they changed and went to the water park again. Everyone but Olivia did the slide. Rachel wanted Hank to take her down and after they went down, he joined Olivia and Rachel stayed with Sonny and Amanda. They had taken a break for lunch, so the younger kids could take their naps. After the little ones got up from their naps, they went back to the water park and then for dinner, they brought in pizzas and cupcakes. Everyone ended up having fun, including older kids. All of Ed's nieces and nephews enjoyed getting to know Diana, Kara and even the Voights better. No one wanted to leave the next day.
Olivia had made arrangements with Colin's Principal to come in and talk about what had happened to their classmate and other things like that. She let them ask questions and much to her surprise, they asked quite a few and there had been quite a few students that had been bullied and felt pressured.
For Rachel's actual birthday, they had a party for her at the pub, so she could celebrate with her family, her new extended family and everyone that hadn't been able to join them at the water park. She had even gotten a video calls from Erin and Jay and the rest of her Chicago family wishing her a happy birthday. Hank and Olivia wanted to give her a birthday she would always remember and she had been so excited about their weekend at the water park and for her party at the pub. They knew that Christmas would be an exciting time for her as well.
