To answer one reviewers question, yes they are still sealed inside of her, and yes it will undoubtedly come up again at a later point, I hope you enjoy this chapter! Not so much action but it certainly shouldn't be boring-and I hope you think I'm not too out of character at the end of the episode I really struggled with it.

Naruto fell asleep not long after she returned home, and she slept through until the next morning, when she woke to the smell of pancakes-she was up and out of bed in seconds-the ache she'd felt when she'd woken up the first time was better now though she didn't feel entirely recovered yet and her arm was still essentially useless-she took a second before rushing down the stairs to create a little sling to hold her arm to stop it from hanging uselessly, but soon enough she was bounding down the stairs, grinning when she burst into the kitchen, where Rin, Karin, Kakashi and Sakura were already gathered-Sakura had a bag dumped by her chair-and Kakashi grinned when he spotted her.

"Naruto-chan."

"Hey Kakashi-sensei, you here to say goodbye?"

"And for pancakes." he gestured to his plate-which was loaded up with the tasty breakfast.

"I've already made you a plate honey." Rin spoke up, a smile on her lips as she gestured to a plate piled high with pancakes. "I knew the smell of food would wake you up."

"You're the best mom." Naruto slipped into her seat-between Sakura and Kakashi, and she dug into the pancakes, as a comfortable air of silence descended on them.

Once the food was finished Rin collected the plates and piled them up by the sink before turning to face Naruto, "You go get dressed sweetheart. I've packed your bag and Jiraiya will be here in about half an hour to pick you up okay?"

"Yes mom." Naruto nodded and glanced at Sakura, who nodded and followed her up to her room, where she quickly got dressed with the help of the pink haired girl, and soon enough they were downstairs again, and both of their bags were in the hall by the door.

"You girls are all packed up and ready then?" Rin's voice was worried, "I still-you know Naruto Sakura and Jiraiya could just go on their own-"

"I know mom but I want to go."

"You promise you'll be careful?"

"Mom I'll have Ero Sennin with me I'll be fine. Will you?"

"I'll look after her Naru-chan don't worry." Kakashi chuckled, shaking his head as Rin's head snapped to the side to look at him, her eyes narrowing.

"I don't need looking after! You need more looking after than me Mr Skips meals and spends his entire day at the memorial stone and reading porn." she pointed menacingly at the silver haired man. "You're the poster child for unhealthy coping mechanisms."

"Suddenly I am deaf." Kakashi dead panned, looking away and whistling, which made the girls giggle.

"Mom, how about you guys look after each other."

"Hm, now that I can manage." Rin decided after a moment.

Then there was a knock at the door and Karin spoke it, "It's Jiraiya-sama."

"Perfect." Naruto almost skipped to the door, opening it with a grin, "Hey Ero Sennin."

"Are you ready to go."

"Almost." that was Rin, rushing to the door, glaring at Jiraiya, "Now listen here Jiraiya-sama. I have nothing but the utmost respect for you-perverted as you are, but if my daughter is harmed while under your care I will use Isobu's Chakra and beat the living shit into you." she poked him in his chest, "Got it."

"Yes!" Jiraiya almost squeaked the word, "I'll protect her Rin-san."

"You watch her like a hawk." Rin snapped, "She's still recovering from her injuries so if she's in pain, you stop, if she gets tired you stop."

"I know." Jiraiya's voice turned soft, "Rin-san I know okay? I'm not going to let anything happen to her." he laid a gentle hand on Rin's shoulder, "She's my goddaughter, I love her, I'd die to protect her. She's Minato-kun's brat and you know I saw your sensei as the closest thing I had to my own kid. I'll take good care of her."

"You better." Rin's voice was fierce but very slightly shaky, "I nearly lost her once I'm not going through it again you hear."

"I hear you."

"Mom..." Naruto bit her lip and hesitated for just a second before launching herself at her mother, hugging her tightly and pressing her face into her moms shoulder. "I'm okay."

"I know." Rin hugged her back, "I know honey but you scared me-seeing you like that wasn't very nice for me."

"I'm sorry. I love you mom."

"I know sweetie. And I love you too." Rin pressed her lips to the top of Naruto's head, combing her fingers through Naruto's hair, "I know you're strong... I've just never seen you hurt like that."

"I'll do my best never to get hurt like that again I promise."

"I know honey I know." Rin pulled away, letting out a breath, "I'll see you when you get home okay?"

"Yeah mom." Naruto kissed her cheek, smiling softly, "It won't be too long, we'll fine Tsunade-sama super quick."

"And Tsunade will be able to fix up your arm." Jiraiya added, "There's a reason she's known as the best medic alive."

"I am so gonna get her to train me." Sakura declared loudly, "Eve nif I have to be more like Naruto and yell at her to do it."

"She's gonna love you." Jiraiya groaned, "I'm going to regret agreeing to take you alone."

"No you won't."

"Why not."

"Cause if you didn't agree I'd have just followed you anyway so you'd have regretted that a hell of a lot more."

Sakura's words made Naruto, Rin, Kakashi and Karin all laugh and Jiraiya snorted. "Oh yeah. She'll love you-well she'll try and chase you off and then when you don't give up she'll love you."

"I'm looking forward to it. If Naruto gets a Sannin to teach her I want one too."

Naruto laughed, "I can't wait to see you be able to punch your way through buildings."

"Anyone who pisses me off is gonna get their lights knocked out." Sakura declared, looking very eager to beat the crap out of as many people as she could.

"We know." Kakashi snorted, "I think the Oto shinobi who attacked were almost as afraid of you as they were of Gaara-san. And the Suna shinobi were
petrified of both of you."

"That sounds like a fun story."

"Gaara and I worked together-all that training together paid off." Sakura shrugged easily, grinning. "He used his sand to help me a lot-apparently most Suna Shinobi now think I'm as terrifying as him because I work so well with him."

"Awesome." Naruto grinned, "How many did you beat up."

"A fair few-"

"She got Gaara to lift her above their heads and she'd drop kick them." Karin spoke up with a laugh, "It was completely badass."

"I was so proud." Rin wiped away a fake tear, "My precious little student growing up and making a name for herself.

"And I missed it?" Naruto pouted, "No fair!"

"I mean, I feel like your fight was probably way more badass." Sakura offered.

"Yeah, but it meant I didn't get to see you being badass!"

"You're right it's truly tragic." Sakura nodded seriously, "And you missed my match."

"You missed her match?" Rin raised an eyebrow, "Why?"

"Gaara, Temari, Kankuro and I were discussing the fact that Orochimaru had replaced their father."

"I see." Rin sighed, "A heads up would have been nice-and by that I mean being actually told what was going on."

"In my defence." Karin piped up, "I didn't know anything about any of this. I was totally innocent."

"I didn't think you knew about it." Rin gave a wry smile, "Don't worry Karin-chan."

Jiraiya shook his head, "If I'd have known I'd have insisted on sitting in the Kage box with sensei."

"There was no way you could have known." Naruto shook her head, "And I handled it." she paused, "Hey, I forgot to ask earlier-was the Mizukage okay?"

"Shocked." Rin gave a wry smile, "But other than that she was fine, she certainly didn't expect your dramatic reveal of Orochimaru and she and the Kiri nin
who were here for the exams all helped us."

"Sensei and her made a brief outline for a treaty before she left." Jiraiya added.

"And Zabuza and Haku said to give you their best wishes." Kakashi shook his head, "I don't know how you do it Naruto-chan. They literally tried to kill your grandfather and now they're our allies because of what you did."

"Maybe we should just take Naruto to every village and get her to make friends." Sakura piped up with a grin, "We'll have peace in no time-"

"No." Rin shook her head, "Not a chance-Iwa would take one look at her and they'd be trying to kill her."

"I dunno, half of the shinobi in Konoha haven't figure it out yet." Jiraiya shook his head, "Only Shikaku and Hiashi have,"

"Hiashi?"

"Hyuuga, that Neji brat's uncle."

"The one who was sat with Hinata-san?" Naruto frowned, "How did he figure it out."

"Ironically he figure it out more because of your mother." Jiraiya chuckled, "You'd think he'd have seen your father first but no-then again he said it was because of the way you looked at him. All righteous fury."

"He knew my mom?"

"He knew your dad better, but yeah he knew her-she was Hizashi-his brothers, teammate."

"Really?"

"Yeah, your mom once tried to remove Hizashi's Caged bird seal." Jiraiya explained, "They got caught by some of the elders before Hiashi and Minato arrived-Minato had to drag her away kicking and screaming. She told Hiashi he should do something because Hizashi was his brother."

"Is that why he didn't speak against me? Because I reminded him of my mom?"

"Because you reminded him of his failure towards his brother. He always did have a stick up his ass." Jiraiya sniffed, "Complaining about my research."

"Your research? Why would he have to deal with that."

"He was one of your fathers teammates."

"What?" Naruto's eyes widened, "Really?"

"Yes." Jiraiya laughed, "And Hizashi was Kushina-chan's teammate. Honestly they constantly ended up having team dinners together, Kushina and Minato definitely took advantage of the fact that their teammates were siblings... then again their other teammates were also in love so that helped."

"Who were their other teammates?" Naruto asked eagerly-she loved learning new things about her parents.

"Minato and Hiashi's teammate was Uchiha Mikoto and Kushina and Hizashi's was Uchiha Fugaku."

"Uchiha? As in Sasuke's family-"

"As in his parents." that was Kakashi, "Your moms were good friends-Fugaku... he got along well enough with Minato, though he always said your mom was clinically insane." that made Naruto laugh.

"Well from what I heard I take after her personality wise so I can't blame him. Does Sasuke know?"

"No." Kakashi shook his head, "He doesn't exactly talk with his parents much and I doubt Mikoto or Fugaku told him much about your parents.

"I'll have to tell him when we get back." Naruto's smile faltered ,"If he's willing to talk to me by then."

"I'm sure he will be." Rin shook her head, "Honey I know you two fought but that doesn't change the fact that you're friends, teammates and family. Even if he's still being an idiot he'll come around eventually."

"We did talk." Naruto bit her lip, "It was... intense. I guess he probably needs time to think a lot of the stuff we talked about through."

"I assume what you talked about was private?" Kakashi frowned, "Can you tell me?"

"No. What we talked about was between us I am so not betraying that trust." Naruto shook her head, biting her lip, "Sorry."

"Don't apologize, the loyalty is good and he must trust you if he was willing to talk about something you feel you can't tell us."

"He doesn't really talk to me about anything important." Sakura admitted, "You're doing better than me."

"You'll get there." Naruto sighed, "I think he only told me anything cause I was so pushy."

"Sometimes pushy is needed." Rin shrugged, brushing Naruto's hair out of her face, "Don't worry darling."

"We should be heading off." Jiraiya pointed out, "As much as I hate to break up the nice moment we do need to get Tsunade and it's better if we leave sooner so we can cover more distance."

"Of course." Rin nodded, straightening up, "I'll see you soon honey." she grabbed Naruto's bag and helped the blonde girl get it over her shoulder so that it was hanging across her chest.

"We'll miss you." that was Karin, who gave Naruto a hug, and then Sakura, "Come home safe and soon okay?"

"Of course." Naruto nodded, and then Kakashi was ruffling both of the girls hair.

"Good luck with Tsunade-sama. Be careful kid."

"We'll see you soon." that was Sakura, who smiled brightly, "We're gonna kick ass!"

"Of course we are." Naruto grinned, "And we'll be back super duper soon."

And with that they were leaving, Jiraiya glaring at anyone who tried to approach. And soon enough they were passing through the gates of Konoha.

Meanwhile...

The room was dark, shrouded, the only true color was the color of the red clouds on dark cloaks, even the faces were shrouded, there were ten of them, and one spoke.

"There have been developments in Konoha. Orochimaru's failed attack involved a Jinchuriki who turned on him... and a newcomer supposedly helped the Sandaime Hokage defeat Orochimaru. We know nothing about this newcomer other than the fact that they have a friendship with the Sanbi Jinchuriki, and it is believed they in some way aided Kiri. We must learn more about them."

"What do we know?" that was a different voice.

"We only know their family name. Nohara."

And, shrouded in darkness, one of the men felt pure fury.

Someone dared to use her name. He'd find them, he'd kill them. She'd been the last Nohara, no parents no brothers, no distant family left. No one was allowed to use her name anymore.

"We will send a team to learn more about this newcomer."

"We will go." that was his treacherous cousin, undoubtedly he wished to see his brother, pathetic little thing. But he had to go too. He had to find whoever dared to use that name.

"Tobi wants to go too." he spoke up in a childish tone.

"Fine. Itachi, Kisame, Tobi. You will go to Konoha and see if this newcomer is a threat to our organization-the friendship with Suna's Jinchuriki is disturbing, some of the rumors claim that his seal was poorly done and fixed by this stranger.

Oh they'd learn more about this person.

And then, then they'd die.

No one should have her name.
