The stream of black ichor hit Ron in the face, and his eyes glazed over. He raised his knife and lunged towards Stallings. The runes previously etched in his vest lighted up and it withstood the assaulting blade.
Karin disarmed Ron using her cane, receiving some cuts for her troubles.
Were I to be fighting for life and limb, I would be too scared surviving to see the surroundings. But I was attending a master in his element.
Few immortals train together.
A dropkick sent the doctor careening against a wall and the one-armed nurse was sent headfirst against the vamped-out vamp.
Against many foes, disabling is faster than killing.
While Dennis was busy clutching at his broken ribs, Great Tiger did an open palm strike against both ears, stunning it further. Dennis decided that a nap was in order and got acquainted with the cold tiles.
Use your environment.
A nearby trolley had cleaning suppliers. A quick cut saw a mop repurposed as a spear. Great Tiger whipped my arms and the mind-controlling vamp was brocheted along with Stumpy. Both exploded in dust, blinding Stallings who was straddling a disoriented Ron.
-"I bested thee."
Will these monsters keep their word?
Doubtful, vessel.
Mengele's disciple paid no heed to the wall plaster on his hair. He took out the metal flask and shotgunned its contents, crumbling the metal with his claws.
-"Let's play first."
The white garments that signified health and care, were torn to shreds as large leathery wings ripped skin. Bone and sinew shifted, abandoning any pretense of being human. The unholy abomination stood tall, its talons shattering the floor tiles under its weight.
Ain't it an ugly sumbitch?
Badmouthing your foe is a valid tactic.
-"After our duel, I know of someone who may be interested in a romantic endeavor with you."
The hideous maw parted and a black tongue slithered out.
-"Do tell?"
Great Tiger shook our head and adopted a thinking pose.
-"He also has a nice bridge and won't mind your foul smell."
The words took precious seconds to sink in. By the time the undead beast made the connection, Ron was snickering on the floor.
Wings propelled the hideous frame towards us in the blink of an eye.
-"YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT!"
Dodge. Parry. Push.
The Claws were blinding fast and my body was still human.
You don't need to be faster, read the enemy.
I peered onto the flow of combat and realization struck like a truck of bricks.
PREDICTABLE!
Good, vessel.
Slashes were running wilder, more and more the desperation was creeping up on the beast. Unable to swat aside the annoying human. In a desperate gamble, the vampire engulfed us with its wings. Strong arms clutched at us.
GONNA BITE US!
Rearing back with disjointed jaws, the monster prepared to rip us apart. White daggers gleaming with saliva.
Only to howl in agony as we tore its flesh with a bite of our own.
It tried to push us, rolling on the floor, the walls, bucking up mad by pain. In one of those jumps, a piece of rebar stuck on its skull, rendering it still.
Ron's voice cut the heavy silence.
-"Guess he ain't telling much."
