Anraq snapped a wide-eyed gaze towards the city. From his position on the deck of the battleship, he had a clear view of Future Industries Tower. The tower, and the massive fireball that now engulfed the top of it. Fire roared out the ruptured hull of the airship hovering above the building, scorching the top several floors, as twisted metal wreckage plunged into the city below. A sickened bubble burst into his throat.

"That's... that's the tower," he uttered, choking out his words with a hoarse gasp. "Azula was up there. Kuvira, Korra... everyone!"

What in spirits name had happened? They'd received word over their radio half an hour ago that Yula had agreed to back off in exchange for her sister. The scheduled transport was supposed to take place atop Future Industries Tower, but the airship sent to receive Shayu had exploded? No way that was an accident. Yula had done this. She'd made the first attack, by blowing up her own sister and everyone else on that roof.

"No... no, no, no!" He ran to the edge of the deck, grabbing hold of the railing. The instinct to leap over the side and swim to shore briefly compelled him. "We have to get over there! We have to look for survivors!"

"Anraq, be calm."A firm hold on his shoulder settled him down, preventing him from jumping. Chief Tonraq pulled him back, his voice stern but also understanding. "I know the concern you're feeling, believe me. My daughter was up there, but we have to believe they'll be okay. We have to stay focused here."

Anraq swallowed, slowly looking over his shoulder. Enemy ships had begun moving across the water, heading towards them. "Right... right, yeah, they'll be fine. Takes more than one stupid explosion to stop them."

Tonraq turned around and began waving commands to his soldiers on deck. "Everyone, man your battle stations! We're about to enter combat!"

A flash of blue lit up the open water, as one of the nearest enemy battleships aimed its main cannon at them and fired off a charged laser—the same kind of focused lightning technology used by the tanks at Zaofu, only on a much grander scale. Moments before the laser impacted the hull of their ship, a sheer ice wall erupted out of the water in front of its path. Bits of ice and water exploded on impact, but stood firm against the laser.

The ice wall sank back into the ocean, and their own cannons returned fire. Not lasers, but pressurized streams of water, thudding into the side of the opposing battleship with enough force to puncture clean through steel. A deep crack ruptured through the ship's hull, as the vessel began tilting with a sudden intake of water.

"Keep at it, men!" Tonraq positioned himself behind one of the cannons and waved his arms in a fluid bending motion. Water rose out of the ocean and swirled into the back of the cannon barrel, building pressure until it burst out the front end in another devastating stream. "Show them why you don't mess with the Water Tribe on the open sea!"

"Are you seeing that?" Wei uttered, gazing over the edge of the airship. He pointed into the distance, focusing on a ball of fire consuming one of the buildings on the city skyline.

"Yeah, I see it," Wing replied, holding up one of his hands to shield his eyes against the sun. He turned his attention to the airship next to them, and cupped his hands around his mouth like a megaphone. "What is it, Captain!"

Hong Li pulled his spyglass down from his eye and looked towards them. "An airship just exploded right on top of Future Industries Tower! Couldn't make out anything else!"

"Future Industries Tower?" Wing turned a confused stare towards his brother. "Why would they attack—whoa!" His words cut out as the airship lurched beneath them, causing him to nearly lose his balance before he could steady himself. Moments later, every airship in the fleet did the same, all beginning to fly towards the city.

"They're advancing to attack!" Wei shouted, briefly stabilizing his own balance with his metal cables.

Hong Li looked to them again and called back, "Now's the time! Let's take these things down!"

Wing and Wei took a firm stance atop the airship, one on either side. They reached forward in unison, clenching their hands into fists to take control of the metal beneath them. With a firm yank, they tore the metal free from its framing and sprinted along the entire length of the vessel. Paneling tore up behind them, peeling away with a shriek of twisted metal. Seconds later, miniature explosions rippled through the hull, and the airship began to descend.

"Yeah, we got it!" Wing said, with a triumphant fist pump.

"Uh, yeah, that's great," Wei replied, as he focused his attention on the rapidly approaching ground. "Now how do we get off this thing before it crashes?"

Wing blinked, following his gaze towards the ground. "Oh, uh..."

As if to answer his question, dozens of figures emerged from over the mountaintops and swooped down towards the air fleet—the airbenders and their sky bison, led by Tenzin and Oogi. As soon as the bison flew into range, Wing and Wei shot out their cables to latch onto Oogi's saddle, and reeled themselves upward. Hong Li joined them moments later, followed by several more metalbenders. All throughout the fleet, metalbenders finished sabotaging the enemy airships and hoisted themselves up to safety on the nearest sky bison.

As soon as he was in the saddle, Wing leaned over the edge to watch as the airships began crashing one by one into the ground. "Ha! Yes, we rule!"

Wei flashed a grin, and gave his brother a high five. "In your face, Dumbass Empire!"

Bolin stumbled off balance, covering his head out of instinct at the sound of an explosion ripping through the air. He spun around, looking up towards the city. Even all the way on the front lines of the battlefield, he could clearly make out the top of Future Industries Tower erupting in a fireball. His heart sank, as he witnessed the airship wreckage plummet out of view behind the city skyline.

"That's Future Industries!" he called, pointing at the towering inferno. "They were supposed to be transferring Shayu up there!"

General Iroh ran next to him and squinted at the distant building. His hands tightened into fists. "I don't believe it. Yula must have attacked instead. Her own sister..."

"We have to go help!" Bolin insisted. "They could be hurt, or worse!"

"No time for that!" Izumi called them both to attention and pointed across the battlefield, where the first line of mechas were already advancing. "The enemy is attacking!"

"Everyone, prepare yourselves for combat!" Iroh made his way to the front of his troops, glaring out at the approaching mechas. Not long until the two sides clashed. Maybe a minute, at their current rate. He shifted a quick look behind him, towards the tall radio antenna they'd set up nearby. "Is that thing ready yet?"

From atop the antenna, Varrick finished coiling a pair of electric wires and climbed down. "Almost, just give me a second! You can't rush these things." Once Varrick reached the ground, he raced over to the generator attached to the wires and grabbed the switch. "You know this will take out our own mecha suits too, right?"

"Just do it!" Iroh insisted. "We don't have nearly as many mechas as they do, and we need to level the playing field."

"Alrighty, one EMP, coming right up!" Varrack yanked down the lever, causing an electric hiss to race up the wires into the antenna. Moments later, a wide-range electromagnetic pulse surged across the battlefield. Advancing mechas dropped like flies, crashing to the ground motionless, little more than useless hunks of metal. Varrick bellowed a triumphant laugh and snapped his fingers. "Ah ha! What are you going to do now?"

The hatches atop the mechas popped open, allowing their pilots to scramble out and regroup in standard battle formation. Varrick blinked, and held a thoughtful hand to his chin. "Huh, right, I forgot there were actual people in there. In that case, time for me to leave!"

"Hey!" Bolin called, as Varrick made his retreat behind the troop lines. "Where are you going?"

"Getting to safety, where do you think? I'm a lover, not a fighter, kid. Besides, I'm not a bender. I'd get slaughtered out there!"

"Wait, so you're just running away?"

"Hey, their mechas are gone, aren't they? I did my part. Time for me to high tail it out of this mess. Zhu Li and Junior are waiting for me!"

"Wait, Varrick!"

"Good luck defending the city!" Varrick called, with a parting wave. "And try not to get yourself killed!"

Bolin groaned, turning back around to face the regrouping imperial forces. Even with their mechas rendered useless, they continued advancing in formation towards the awaiting United Forces soldiers. Right, time to focus. They could do this. Just had to stand their ground, and push the enemy back.

Blue flashes ignited the battlefield, as hot lasers pelted the front lines of the United Forces troops. Soldiers screamed and ran for cover, while others erected earth walls in front of themselves and their allies. A second volley of lasers sizzled through the air, met with desperate earthen defenses to hold back the attack.

"What on earth is that!" Bolin ducked behind his own earth wall, peering around the side with a careful stare. The enemy's tank battalions rolled into view, crushing straight over the downed mechas. "How are they firing lasers? I thought we destroyed Kuvira's spirit vine technology!"

"That's not spirit vine technology," Izumi replied, raising an arm to shield her face from exploding bits of stone. "That's Fire Nation technology! The tanks focus a firebender's lightning into a concentrated laser!"

"Oh come on! Are you serious?"

Izumi ducked lower, as another laser blew apart half their wall. "Deadly serious."

Bolin immediately reinforced the wall with more earth. "Well, why didn't the EMP take out those things too?"

"Because they're mechanical, not electrical," Iroh said, glancing around the side of the wall. "Bolin, I need you to give us some breathing room."

"On it!" Bolin sprang up and spread his arms out wide. A wide fissure ruptured across earth in front of them, quickly filling with a deep pool of lava. With another pair of arm motions to either side, he spread the lava as far as he could, stretching it into a boiling river that divided the two opposing armies. The Dragon Empire immediately halted their advance in front of the lava moat. Simple, but effective. Unless they wanted to take a dip in the world's worst swimming pool, they'd have to go around. That made them vulnerable.

"First and Second tank battalions, move forward!" Iroh said, pulling a radio to his lips. Moments after he gave the command, two lines of United Forces tanks rolled up in between soldier formations.

"Oh yeah!" Bolin exclaimed, with a relieved laugh. "We have tanks, too!"

"Not as many, or with the same kind of firepower," Iroh replied, glaring out at the enemy. "But we should be able to put up a fight for a while."

Once their tanks reached the front lines, they aimed their cannons at imperial forces and unloaded a heavy bombardment of fireballs. Dragon Empire soldiers ran for cover, while their own tanks returned fire. At least for the moment, the tanks on either side were focused on each other, rather than the more vulnerable foot soldiers.

"That should stall them for a while," Iroh said, looking to Bolin, "but we won't hold them forever. We need reinforcements. We need the Avatar."

Bolin swallowed, and gave a firm nod. "I'll find her. I'll find all of them." With a parting salute, he raced back through the lines of soldiers towards Republic City.

Please, let him not be too late.

Kuvira bent a mound of concrete off herself with a pained grunt, frantically looking around the destroyed roof of Future Industries Tower. The others were alright, already recovering nearby. Good, her last second efforts had been enough. She'd only barely ripped up a chunk of the roof in time to shield them from the explosion, and that still might not have been enough if Azula and Mako hadn't bent away the flames during the blast. At a quick glance, no one she could see had sustained any serious injuries.

But she couldn't see everyone.

"Where's Korra?" she questioned, spinning around in panic. Her gaze jolted side-to-side, scanning the burning debris around them. "Does anyone see Korra?"

"She and Shayu were on the airship when it exploded," Mako said, clutching his hands against his head. He squinted his eyes shut, fighting to regain his senses. "They would have fallen with the wreckage."

A sharp knife twisted through her chest. Kuvira raced to the edge of the building and looked over the side. Lingering flames and plumes of black smoke blocked her vision from the street below. No sign of the wreckage. No sign of Korra or Shayu. She needed to find them.

"I'm going down!" she called, holding her arms forward. Metal cables sprang out from her bracers and latched onto the building across from her. With a leap into open air, she swung through the billowing cloud of black smoke and repelled down to street level.

Azula heaved a groan, as she stumbled back to her feet. "I told you this would happen!" She directed her ire towards Asami, focusing a heated glare at the woman. "Did I not tell you this would happen? Your idiocy nearly got us all killed!"

Asami sat still, hands held against her head, staring down at the floor beneath her. "I... I never thought she'd actually do something like that. To her own sister. What kind of monster is she? Who does that?"

"She does, as I tried to warn you," Azula muttered, reaching into the collar of her armor. "But did anyone bother to listen? No. You'd all rather get yourselves blown up."

"We can't waste time thinking about that right now," Mako said, as he helped Asami to her feet. "We have to get off this building."

"As usual, I'm one step ahead of you," Azula said, pressing a small gold whistle to her lips. Zuko's dragon whistle. She blew hard into the mouthpiece, releasing its signature, nearly silent tweet. "Everyone get ready to jump."

Asami lifted her eyebrows. "Wait, jump?"

"Yes, that is what I said." She ignored the president's confusion, pushing both her and Mako towards the edge of the building. After a brief look both ways, she noticed an approaching figure soaring through the air towards them. Careful, now. Had to time this right. She stepped closer to the ledge, nudging the other two along with her. "Get ready..."

"Wait, hold on," Mako said, attempting to resist her push. "I don't really think this is—"

"Now!"

Azula lunged into open air, yanking both Mako and Asami with her. They screamed on the way down, only for their voices to cut out moments later when they thudded atop the back of the great red dragon that swooped in to catch them. Druk gave a mighty roar and descended down to ground level. Piles of bent and twisted metal burned nearby, all that remained of the airship. Kuvira frantically worked her way through the wreckage, bending away large slabs of rubble at a time in search of Korra and Shayu.

As soon as they landed, Mako slipped off the dragon with a wavering stumble. He leaned forward, holding his hands against his knees with a relieved huff. "Don't ever do that again. Please."

Asami fought to steady herself on her feet, breathing heavy with a hand held against her chest. "I concur."

"Now that you two are down here, help Kuvira look for the Avatar," Azula said, as Druk flapped his wings and took to the skies once again.

"Wait!" Mako called. "Where are you going?"

"Druk and I are going to pay Yula's troops a little visit!"

Kuvira worked her way through the wreckage, bending away slabs of metal and broken concrete from the ground. Each new space she cleared revealed only empty ground. No Korra. No Shayu. Her heart pounded, frigid coils of dread knotting tight in her chest. Where were they? They had to be here somewhere. They had to be okay. Please, spirits, let them be okay.

"Come on, come on..." She flipped over another section of broken airship. Nothing but empty street beneath it. The knot tightened, squeezing her heart with a nauseous spasm. She and Korra had only just become engaged. They'd only just decided to get married. To spend the rest of their life together. Their future couldn't end like this, not before it had even begun. "Don't do this to me. Not like this. I'm not going to lose you like this!"

"Do you see anything?" Mako called.

"No..." she uttered, her voice squeaking out in a hoarse whisper. "There's nothing."

"Korra!" Asami cupped her hands around her lips and shouted, her voice cracking as she called her friend's name. Dark smoke wafted over her face, forcing her to turn her head and cough.

Kuvira wandered around the street in a partial daze. She clawed her fingers through her hair, snapping a frantic gaze around the wreckage with wide eyes. Please, let her see something. Anything. Her breaths sharpened, rapid and uneven. She bent away another sheet of metal paneling, but still there was nothing. Nothing but fire and twisted scrap metal.

A muffled cough burst out over the crackling flames around her. Kuvira whirled around with urgency, straining her ears. Where had it come from? Where were they? A second cough, and her gaze snapped towards a nearby pile of concrete. When the third cough sounded, she raced forward and threw aside the top layer of rubble. Korra hunched over the ground, lying on top of Shayu to shield the girl with her own body. Shayu's wheelchair lay nearby, little more than bent and broken metal at this point.

"Korra!" Kuvira knelt at her fiancée's side and helped her upright. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine," Korra uttered, with another cough. She held a hand over her mouth, catching the few drops of crimson that sprayed from her lips. "Just a little banged up. I think I was able to save Shayu, but she's unconscious."

Kuvira pressed a finger to the other girl's neck. When she felt a pulse thump against her touch, she nodded, and wrapped her arms tight around Korra. "I'm so glad you're alright."

"Korra!" Mako called, racing towards them.

Asami ran over to join them, heaving a deep breath of relief. "Thank the spirits..."

Korra chuckled. "Come on, don't you know it takes more than an exploding airship to take me out?"

"Heeeey! Hey, guys!" A different voice called to them, shifting their attention down the street. Bolin ran into view around the burning wreckage, waving his arms at them. "You're okay!"

Mako turned to his brother with a confused stare. "Bolin? Aren't you supposed to be on the front lines with General Iroh?"

"Uh, yeah I was," he said, slowing to a stop in front of them. "He sent me here to find you. Yula's forces are attacking, and they have us outmatched. If we don't get help soon, we're not going to last! We need the Avatar!"

Korra grimaced, standing straight on her feet. Her legs buckled momentarily, but she managed to steady herself with a deep breath. "I'm okay, I can help. Mako, Asami, take Shayu and get to City Hall. Kuvira and I will head to the front lines with Bolin to help out General Iroh. As for Azula..." She paused, glancing around with a furrowed brow. "Where's Azula?"

"Oh, she's already on her way there," Mako said. "You know... on her dragon?"

"Oh. Well, okay then. In that case, let's get moving."

Anraq stood his ground at the edge of the battleship deck and lifted his arms. Ocean water lifted skyward and froze into a solid wall, blocking a pair of incoming lightning blasts. He promptly let the water fall back into the bay, allowing Tonraq a clear view to return fire with his water cannon. One by one, enemy ships sank below the surface, water pouring through ruptured hulls.

Good news, the Dragon Empire was losing more ships. Bad news, they had a lot more ships to lose. As skilled as the Water Tribe Navies were, they weren't without casualties. Several incoming enemy lasers tore through their defenses and sank a handful of Water Tribe ships. As good a fight as the Water Tribes and United Forces were putting up, the Dragon Empire might still win this fight on sheer numbers alone.

"Chief Tonraq!" Anraq called. "Any word on reinforcements yet?"

"Not yet!" the chief replied, as he guided another flood of water into the cannon. Seconds later, a concentrated stream erupted out the front end of the barrel and punctured the hull of another distant enemy battleship. "But I sent out the radio request a while ago, so they should be here shortly!"

Anraq regained focus in time to assist the other waterbenders in raising another ice wall. Three simultaneous lasers exploded against the wall, rupturing chunks of frozen rubble across the deck of the ship. Anraq shielded himself with a whirl of his arms, liquefying the falling ice and guiding it towards Tonraq to funnel into the cannon.

When he turned back to the open water, a loud, shrill buzzing noise echoed over the bay. He shifted a look back towards Republic City, squinting curiously at a swarm of small dots soaring over the skyline. Recognition tore through him, lifting a triumphant laugh into his throat. "Sir, reinforcements are here!"

Moments later, a fleet of United Forces biplanes darted across Yue Bay, making their way straight towards the enemy battleships. Combat paused briefly, as the Dragon Empire were no doubt adjusting to the sudden appearance of incoming aircraft. Soon enough, lasers began firing once again, this time aimed skyward. Several planes suffered direct hits, forcing their pilots to eject, but the vast majority successfully navigated into enemy water. Bombs rained out of the sky, exploding atop battleship decks. Lightning cannons detonated, control towers toppled. Pure, glorious mayhem.

"We got them on the run now!" Anraq called, as he ran to the edge of the deck for a better look. The biplanes continued beyond the enemy ships and began circling around for a second pass, pursued by another barrage of lasers. Several planes erupted from direct hits, but not nearly enough to slow down their assault.

Tonraq emerged from behind his cannon, staring out over the water with a squint of concern. "Easy, Anraq. Don't celebrate just yet."

"What do you mean?"Anraq raised a puzzled brow at his chief. "There's no way they can counter those planes."

"There's something that's been bothering me since this battle started. The enemy hasn't moved much closer at all. In fact, they've stayed just out of range of our minefield this entire time. Unless they knew about the mines in advance, there would be no reason for them to try and keep this fight at such a distance."

Anraq looked back over the water, easing a steady breath of contemplation. "That's actually a good point. Why haven't they tried moving closer?"

A dark shadow caught his attention in the water below. He glanced downward, narrowing his gaze. Almost as soon as the shadow had appeared, it vanished again. "Sir, did you see—"

His voice cut out in a sharp yell, as an explosion tore through the side of their battleship. The vessel lurched, and he fell forward, tumbling over the railing. Water splashed around him, plunging him into the ocean below. After taking a moment to regain his bearings, he swam upright and blinked, gazing through the murky depths of the bay. The shadow reappeared, and he snapped his focus towards it. Oh, dear spirits. Not one shadow. Dozens of them. With a harsh gasp, he swam back to the surface.

"Anraq!" Tonraq appeared at the side of the ship above. "Are you alright?"

He coughed out a breath of air as he emerged, staring up at the chief with wide eyes. "Sir, we're in trouble! They have submarines! Weaponized submarines! And there's a whole lot of them!"

Tonraq's brow lifted in shock. "Oh no..."

Another explosion tore through the ship's hull, followed soon by others across their entire fleet. Within minutes, half the Water Tribe battleships began sinking into the ocean depths.

"Are we almost done here?" Wing asked, as he watched enemy airships plummet to the ground below.

"Just about," Hong Li said, gazing through his spyglass. "We need to get some more metalbenders over on the eastern side of the fleet for backup, though. Looks like the Empire has started catching on to what we're doing. They're sending up opposition through the roof hatches."

"We're on our way now. Just hang tight, everyone." Tenzin guided Oogi towards the designated area of the fleet, where imperial troops had climbed onto the airship roofs through maintenance hatches. Before the metalbenders could continue destroying those airships, they needed to get rid of the opposition attacking them.

As they made their way forward, Wei blinked and tilted his head towards the sky. "Hey, do you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Wing asked, giving his brother a curious look.

"That noise. Sounds like... buzzing?"

Hong Li shifted his spyglass towards the mountains. When he noticed the swarm dotting the sky, he nearly dropped it. "Oh no... Guys, we have a problem. Look!"

He pointed at the fast approaching figures soaring towards them. Biplanes, dozens of them, all with gold dragons painted along their sides. The planes swarmed them in seconds, sweeping through the bison herd and forcing the airbenders to take sudden evasive action. Several metalbender passengers sprang free from their saddles and plummeted over open air towards the ground, hundreds of feet below. Concentrated blasts of fireballs followed, erupting from the planes to rain down upon the bison in a destructive bombardment.

"Everybody hang on!" Tenzin yanked on Oogi's reins, forcing the ten ton animal to swerve out of the way. One of the metalbenders let out a desperate yell as he flipped backwards over the side of the saddle.

"Dad!" Jinora called from somewhere below them, forcing Pepper to spiral out of the way of several fireballs. "They're aiming for the bison!"

The planes came back for another pass, shooting a second barrage of fireballs as they went. Several bison bellowed in pain, as flames erupted against their sides and sent them plummeting towards the ground, fur ignited. Handfuls of metalbenders launched out of saddles, falling free over open air towards the ground below.

"Tenzin!" Opal lifted into view atop alongside them, guiding Juicy around streaking bolts of fire. "We have to retreat! There's no way we can survive this if we stay here!"

Tenzin watched with horror, as he witnessed his people falling victim to the passing planes one by one. Airbenders, metalbenders, bison—none of them were safe. With a deep breath, he shook out of his daze and focused. He could grieve later. "You're right. Get everyone out of here, now! Head into the canyons behind the mountains where those planes can't follow!"

"I'm on it!" Opal replied. "Come on, Juicy, yip—"

A fireball erupted against the side of her bison. Juicy bellowed a pained grunt, spinning out of control with a lurching twist. The metalbender passengers screamed, as all of them ejected into empty space. Opal followed, tumbling unconscious into open air, limp and unmoving. No way to use her wingsuit. No way to save herself.

"Opal!" Wing threw himself off the side of Oogi and plummeted after his sister.

"Hold on!" Wei leaped right behind him, both of them in rapid freefall.

Wing fired out one of his metal cables, wrapping tight around Opal's waist. At the same time, he pointed his other arm upward and shot out his remaining cable. Wei did the same, releasing both of his cables in unison. One shot downward and latched onto Wing's ascending cable, while the other fired upward towards Oogi's saddle. Inches too short. They'd fallen too far, and his cables weren't long enough. Wei's eyes widened in panicked revelation, as they all continued to fall.

"I got you!" Hong Li jumped out after them, latching one of his own cables to the saddle behind him and firing the other down to coil around Wei's second cable. When all the cables pulled taut, the four of them dangled freely from Oogi's saddle, swinging back and forth in the wind as enemy planes continued to swarm around them. "Tenzin! Get us out of here!"

"Oogi, yip yip!" Tenzin ordered, guiding the bison towards the mountains. The other airbenders soon followed, leaving the planes and the airships behind.

"Third and Fourth Tank battalions, move in!" Iroh shouted into the radio.

The First and Second battalions hadn't taken long to fall. While they had done their fair share of damage to the enemy, the Dragon Empire had far more tanks. More tanks, and more firepower, gradually blowing holes in the United Forces defense. If not for the lava moat separating the two armies, the Dragon Empire might have already decimated them. Right now, combat remained at range, with soldiers on both sides bending their respective elements, while opposing tanks bombarded each other. As hard as his troops were fighting, Iroh knew they wouldn't be able to hold out for long. Sooner or later, the enemy would find a way to cross that lava, and carnage would follow.

They needed backup.

"Come on, Bolin," he muttered, looking back towards the city. The top of the earth wall he was huddled behind exploded to pieces, forcing him to cover his head. "Damn it, where is he?" They needed him to return with the Avatar. They needed help

A dark figure streaking across the city skyline caught his attention. He focused on it, eyebrows lifting in recognition at the familiar sight of large, leathery wings and crimson scales. "Is that Druk? What on earth is grandfather's dragon doing here?"

"That's not just Druk," Izumi stated, peering around the side of the earth wall next to her son. She watched with careful eyes, slowly curling a smirk onto her face. "That's your Great Aunt Azula."

Druk dove from the sky, flying low over enemy lines. The great red dragon trailed a jet of fire from his jaws, scorching the ground and imperial troops with it. Screams of pain and horror erupted from the enemy forces, and their formations scattered. Tanks ruptured and exploded, reduced to little more than useless piles of molten metal. After the first pass, Azula led Druk back around for a second, leaving behind another blazing scar of fire in their wake.

"Well, it's not the Avatar, but I'll take it," Iroh said, with a small grin. Turning back to his troops, he waved his arm forward and shouted out the command. "Everyone! Attack!"
