Use Your Emotions:

Ever since the formal, Kendall couldn't get the kiss out of her mind. However, she also couldn't get what she said to Kick out of her mind either. The whole situation was just heavily on her mind, that it even distracted her in her fashion class. Jackie tried to help when she would come over, but even Kendall could tell that something was bothering her as well. Jackie just tried to shake her suspicions, wanting to focus on Kendall, but that still didn't settle Kendall's feelings about anything. Both girls were in their own funk, their minds unsettled, unfocussed, and trying to concentrate on the other, so they could help one another out.

Given how things are at school with them, it was awkward, and they were avoiding each other. She didn't want it like that, but she also knew with how things ended at the formal, it was a bit unavoidable at the moment. Her mind was just clouded. Jackie suggested that if she wasn't going to talk to him just yet, then she should at least try to preoccupy herself, try to focus on something else for a bit, or even release the stuff that's on her mind. Kendall didn't know how to do that, but Jackie gave a few suggestions on how with the fact it was now Friday and they also had the weekend coming up.

Kendall took up the ideas, giving that she needed to get stuff off her mind. She was able to go to the VSD gym and get a private dance room, there she tried to work stuff off. However, she found it difficult given her music choices. With the few days going on like this, she wasn't feeling any better, just feeling more stressed the more she tried to work it out. Normally music help her, but she supposed she could blame it on her music choice.

She went out to refill her water, still feeling out of sorts. She saw some of the boys' fans in the lobby. She saw them when she came in earlier, and the day before as well. She figured they must come in everyday or something hoping to get a glimpse of them boys, thinking maybe the boys come into the gym often. She guessed these were some hardcore, dedicated fans given their determination. She had to admire that about them. Admire the fact they were brave enough to admit their love for Kick, or Gunther since some also wore of his merchandise. She glanced away after she got her water, feeling even more ashamed about what she did, since she just felt awful, guilty and more emotions about that night.

She walked back into the dance room. Her mind wondering again. She went to do a few routines, none of them turning out the way she wanted as she moved. Although, she figured it was because of song choices. Maybe dancing to a lot heart break and too relatable songs, like heart attack by Demi Lovato and too close by Ariana Grande, plus more, was a bit much. She, though, knew she was off beat a bit, and just couldn't find herself. She wasn't in the right mindset, as too much was on her mind as she was paying too much attention to the lyrics and connecting to them, her movements being impacted. She let out a breath as she leaned her back against the mirror, taking a sip of water, unsure of how to continue. Her mind just continuing to wonder. 'He….he really did always do this to me…' She thought.

"Hey…" A familiar voice interrupted her clouded thoughts, surprising her. She glanced up, not believing he was there. 'Kick…' She trailed. He bit the inside of cheek before continuing. "I…um…I was just passing by when…when I saw you dancing." He confessed. She glanced down.

"Oh." She let out, before glancing back at him. "I…I guess…you were here doing some weight training." She noted the gym bag in his hand, and what he was wearing.

"Ah, yeah…" He nodded. "Just…needed to…clear my head I guess." He told her.

"I understand the feeling." She spoke. He did a small swallow, knowing things were still awkward, and his thoughts had been about how he hurt her, even more about the fact she loved someone else. He couldn't really focus, even when he was in the weight room.

"You…you looked…you're dancing was off…" He brought up, before he let out another breath. She swallowed, knowing that was true. "I…you don't have to…I just…" He was finding this difficult. "Do you need someone to dance with?" He asked. She was surprised he questioned that. However, she gave a small smile.

"Yeah…sure." She replied. "But you have to keep up." She mentioned. "Like I said, I have a lot to get off my mind and I don't feel like slowing down." He came in, closing the door behind him.

"Right, no problem." He agreed, putting his bag down. He stretched a bit before walking over to her. She looked at him wondering if he was ready and he just nodded. When she clicked on the music, things were very awkward for the both at first. Even Kendall had to admit getting into this routine was hard. Kick sadly wasn't able to keep up as best as he could, as she knew that with how they moved. They weren't as in sync, but they still were able to dance together.

Kick connected with the lyrics too much, in fact his mind might have raced too much with it. The song was Heart Attack by Trey Songz. He didn't want to think about it, but this song made it present as he wanted her, he wanted to be with her. Love hurt. It was painful. They both could admit that. And at the moment, neither knew what to do, being there was so much misunderstandings about that night. Kick wanted to explain, however if she loved someone else he didn't want to interfere. While Kendall just wanted things to go back to how they were again, although she also wanted to be with him. Her courage depleted, because she didn't know where she stood anymore, and she knew it was her fault why this happened. She confused reality with fantasy too much.

As the song ended, they both knew that wasn't their best. In fact they knew that was probably the worst either of them have danced, or been. They were too tense, too rigid. Both had a lot on their minds, and for Kendall this music, she knew sure as hell was not helping. She let out a breath, glancing at him.

"I know…" He already knew he sucked. "I couldn't keep up." He said. "Sorry."

"No…I…" She breathed. "I wasn't that great either." She confessed. "We're….we just need to loosen up." She told him, going over to her phone. "I think…." She scrolled through her playlists. "We…just need to dance to what we know." She glanced at him, putting it on another playlist. "That last set I had probably wasn't the right one." She walked back over. "Just…" She let out another sigh. "We need to let loose." She stared at him. "Just let everything go…go with the music…and use our emotions to dance…" She spoke. This took him by surprise but he nodded.

She switched the music on, the awkwardness still there in the beginning, but the fact the song set completely switched from heart break songs to love songs, Kick figured it be best to do what she said. 'Use my emotions, huh?' After the first chorus to the second verse in the song there goes my baby, they both were moving a bit better. Still slow, but more in sync as both were finally letting things go. They were using their emotions, not trying to let things cloud their minds, and as the song ended things felt a bit better. When the second came on, the playlist just playing randomly and now automatically, they both recognized the song as they danced to it before.

Things were definitely getting better as they found their routine again, their bodies getting in sync as the song love in this club played. They were able to find they could move better together again, Kick keeping up again, and Kendall not minding to just relax into the music as she moved. They moved to the beat, both getting close and it was like the dance was its own language between them.

Kick enjoyed the fact he had her close again, enjoyed moving with her, dancing so close. He liked that the tension was fading if not gone by the time the song ended. He liked that things, for the moment felt like they should. As the next song played, he felt things got better, as their routines got a bit more advanced, their bodies moving more, as they used the room. They switched places often, but enjoyed rocking, sliding, popping and dancing to the beat. He loved it, in fact.

She relaxed further as the song trading places came on. It was like she was taking control of the routine and he followed, but also like they shared the lead role. She enjoyed the fact things at the moment seemed to be just a bit normal. That they were normal. Maybe she was wrong. Dancing was helpful. Dancing could bring people together. She thought maybe it could mend things. Because dancing with him, it was definitely helping, plus making her feel like she did all those other times they danced, and when they were alone. Although, maybe that was the music's fault.

As the next song began to plat, Kick couldn't help but listen to the lyrics as they danced. He almost thought it was fitting, but also knew that he had to be in control not that his emotions weren't rising. But he really did blame the music and now, how they were moving, given that they were getting into this with their dance movements to the song take you down. They were using the whole floor now as they moved, which was helping both of them, especially with getting over this tension.

However, they both realized maybe a new tension was rising as they danced, that Kick was trying to avoid, but it was hard, since he was going with the music, and his emotions. He was just trying to let go. While Kendall, she felt it, and so many parts of her were in conflict because of what happened at the formal, but she really did love him. She just wanted to be with him, was that so wrong, she wondered.

As the song was fading to its end and they both were really in sync now, their movements and everything, she wondered if he would want to stop. Or if she should. But, she didn't want this to end. She loved this moment right now. Everything was okay between them and things felt right for the time being. She just wanted to stay dancing with him, to stay like this. If she could stay in his arms, that's all she wanted. And she wondered if he would ever see her, would ever want the same.

The next song came on. It was a bit more upbeat and more their tempo as they continued to dance. Both didn't seem to mind the song as it was lemme see, and it made for some new opportunities in how they danced. Kick didn't want to end this dancing session with her, even though they had done quite a few songs already. The song that came on had them doing a bit more hip hop moves as they moved, Kick even listening to the lyrics when the second chorus came on that he took off his shirt. Kendall blushed when that happened, but kept dancing as they were able to keep the routine together, still switching positions with him and moving. The way their dancing made them use the whole room now as she used the wall, circling her hips, sliding on the floor, and more, had him keeping up with her as well, as they moved together. And when the song was fading to its end, he couldn't help the natural movements that happened, as he soon had her against the wall in the end.

She was breathing hard, her heart going erratic, and with him holding her the way he was, her legs around him, as he was shirtless and a bit sweaty from their dancing, it made her feel fuzzy, and start to be in haze. She stared at him, as he did the same to her, his lips soon on hers again. And she didn't mind it, as she sank into this kiss just like last time, what little air she had in her lungs further being taken away by him. Oh how much she loved it when he did that. One of her hands on his chest, the other on his forearm, wanting, hoping to try and support herself, since she knew she was in daze. Even trying to bring him closer, if possible with her position. He abruptly pulled away from her kiss, however, carefully putting her down.

"Fuck….I….shouldn't….I shouldn't have done that…" He turned away, his own breathing hard as he shook his head, a hand going to his forehead and running through his hair as he was frustrated with himself now. She stayed against the wall, hoping to use it for leverage so her knees wouldn't give out, or she wouldn't completely fall. Her breathing and heartrate still not better, while she now knew her face was probably bright red.

"I…I told you to….to use your emotions…" She tried to reason with him, knowing the music and everything probably turned him on. Plus it's not like she really turned him away this time, or again rather. She held her hand over chest. "It's…it's not your fault…" She brought up. He glanced back at her with that.

"Well it's not yours Kendall." He countered. "I just…" He breathed. "I've been acting stupid…and you have every right to be mad and hate me." He added. Her eyes went wide with that.

"I…I don't hate you." She replied. He looked at her with that. "I mean….yeah what happened…with the formal…it…" She looked away. "But it wasn't your fault." She shook her head. He had a questioning look.

"Kendall how was that…" He was about to ask.

"It was me…I mean…." She let out another breath. "You were just trying to be a good friend and help me…and I….I just ruined things…" She explained.

"Kends you didn't ruin anything." Kick came up to her, hoping to assure her of that. "I'm the one that…"

"No you're not." She tried to argue, interrupting him. He just stared at her, a bit confused. "I…." She looked away, still blushing, her hand still closed on her chest, while the other wrapped around her. "I just…..I guess I couldn't get out of my head…" Her voice was quiet.

"Kendall I don't…" Kick was still confused. "I don't understand." He made her look at him. "You didn't do anything." He spoke. "I'm…I'm the one...the one that hurt you." He swallowed, hating that fact. "I made you think you were like one of my fans, when…" He let out a small breath, looking in her eyes, caressing her check with his thumb. She felt her cheeks redden more, as she kept looking at him, his chocolate eyes making her melt more. Her heart was racing again. "When you are…are so much more." He admitted. "You're important to me Kendall. And I never…" He continued. "Never wanted to hurt you."

"Kick…that's…I…" She wasn't sure how to respond because she still felt like this was all her doing. That she misread everything and that she confused the situation for something that it wasn't, and might be doing it again. He was trying to be her friend and all she could think about was her dreams, her feelings, even more all she could think about was that he wouldn't see how she feels for him. She felt like she lead him on, being that she wanted something so much more from him, wanted his attention, his love, that she didn't really push him away until she realized what that could mean. She let out another sigh. "I admit that yeah, knowing I'll…I'll never compare to your…" She slightly looked away with her eyes. "Fans…or type…" She looked down. "But…it really wasn't your fault. You didn't hurt me." She told him. "I…I just…" She breathed. He just watched her, still feeling confused by the fact she could say that it wasn't his fault.

"Kends…what…" He was trying to understand her. "I don't want to compare you to them." He responded. She glanced up at him. "You're not my fan Kendall, or anything like them." He mentioned.

"I know I'm not…" She agreed, her fist tightening as she was feeling the pain in those words. "Kick, please…I know I'm not like your fans…like Ira or Scarlet or any of them…" She added. "I'm….I'm just Kendall…" She glanced away. "I just…I'm sorry…" She apologized which took him by surprise. "I…I couldn't get out my head…I just wanted you to finally see….see someone like me." She confessed. 'Out of her head…see someone…' Her words were finally making sense as he was finally connecting everything that she was saying. He had a small smirk, now that he got it. She was about to speak a bit more, until he let out a few light chuckles. She glanced up at him, shocked. "Are you…this isn't funny Kick." She told him, even though he wasn't really laughing, but the fact he did let out a few chuckles, it hurt.

"Sorry Kendall I'm…" He smiled at her. "I'm not laughing at you, more or less at the situation, and a few other things."

"Like what?" She questioned, as it was confusing and she still felt a bit hurt by the action.

"Kends, why do you think I kissed you?" He asked her suddenly, which caught her off guard. Her face getting a darker red, as she bit the inside of her cheek.

"I…um…I thought…." She let out another breath. "You were just trying to help me that night, I don't think… I think things just escalated because we…I….you weren't trying to purposely kiss me…" She stumbled through that response, being that she figured most of what happened that night was her doing. He quirked an eyebrow, still having a small smirk aimed at her.

"Kendall, you are one of the smartest people I know." He complimented her, his thumb still caressing her cheek, which was making her feel even more hazy, given that her heartrate was so fast, and her breathing was beginning to pick up again. "You can't seriously believe that, do you?" He asked. She swallowed.

"Well…I...I mean…" She didn't know how to respond to that as her eyes looked away, her voice going a bit quieter and higher at the same time. However, he wasn't going to have that as he got her to look at him again.

"Kends…" The way he said her name, and got closer made her feel like she was going to pass out. He was making her feel so many things, her face probably getting a brighter red now. She gulped again. "Think about it. Why would I kiss you?" He reiterated the question. "More to it why would I want to make out with you?" He clarified. Her breathing started to pick up because of how close he was, only mere inches away. She thought she was seriously dreaming, that there was no way this was real. But, she felt his hand on her face, the warmth of palm, the gentle touch of his fingers and thumb.

"Kick, I…." She let out, as his lips pressed against her again. Now she really thought she might faint as she sank into the simple kiss. It only lasted a few seconds, however that was all it took for her to feel dizzy, to feel breathless and in a daze. She opened her eyes to look at him, when he pulled away.

"It should be pretty obvious how I feel about you Kendall." He told her. "I never was clear with you before, but now I'm going to be." He spoke. "I love you Kendall." He confessed. Her eyes widened. She never thought she would hear those words from him. Never thought he would say that. In her dreams, yes, but in real life, no.

"You….you love me?" She couldn't believe it. He smiled at her.

"Yeah, Kends. I do." He replied, assuring her. She was getting more breathless thinking about it.

"I…I never thought you…you would say that. I…I can't believe it…" She was in disbelief, but also happy. She seriously thought she was dreaming and if she was, she never wanted to wake up because this was the best dream she had ever had. He just kept smiling at her.

"Well believe it Kends, because I do." He made sure she knew this wasn't in her mind. She stared into his chocolate eyes. "And I'm just sorry I couldn't admit my feelings for you until now." He added.

"You're sorry?" She questioned, feeling that it was unnecessary for him to apologize. "You…you don't have to apologize." She continued. "If anything…I should be, because I wasn't brave enough to tell you my feelings for so long…" She brought up. He wasn't expecting to hear that.

"What…what do you mean by that?" He inquired. She did another swallow. "Kendall, how long have you had feelings for me?" She felt like her blush was never going to leave and now she felt really embarrassed.

"Um, well…" She started. "Let's just say I've…I've been in love with you a while…" She trailed.

"How long is a while Kends?" He wanted to know, happy to hear those words. She felt sheepish about this, but let out a breath.

"Uh…well do you….do you remember the discussion we had here during Jackie and my training session…" His eyes widened again as he was realizing where this was going. "Why I wanted to…" She began to say before she was cut off by his lips. She was heavenly surprised and sank into the kiss as it deepened. 'They were right…' He thought. 'I should have tried harder.' He brought her closer, as she felt she couldn't stand anymore, using him for support her hands on his chest. They parted so she could breathe, she felt dizzier, and more in a daze. "Kick…" She breathed out. He held her close.

"You really…" He had a small chuckle. "I should've stopped being stupid and made you mine long ago." He confessed before attacking her lips again. The passion she didn't mind, given he helped support her, though somehow they managed to find themselves on the floor still kissing.
