"Hello."

"Gina?"

"How are you and Amelia."

"We're okay. Why are you calling? Do you need to send Amelia something? You said she didn't have anything important at Abby and Jake's house besides her birth certificate and social security card."

"No, I don't have anything else to give you. I'm just calling to see how are you doing."

"Because you are Abby's sister or because you are a mandated reporter?"

"I care about Amelia. Being that you are teacher, I'm sure you know that I have to make sure that Amelia is still happy and safe. If I willingly let her stay in an unsafe environment, I could be held responsible for any harm she suffers. The adoption being changed doesn't change my duties as a mandated reporter."

"She's fine."

"Are you two getting therapy?"

"No."

"I can't make you get therapy for yourself, but I can insist that you get therapy for Amelia. She's going to need it."

"She's fine."

"She doesn't understand that her mom and dad are not coming back. Olivia, I am a licensed therapist. I'm not trying to get in the middle of your decision to raise Amelia, but she had a life before you. Her issues need to be worked out in therapy."

"I said she's fine. I'm getting married soon, and Fitz is going to adopt her."

"I don't think you should rush an adoption. Amelia is getting to know both of you. Let her decide when she wants a new dad."

"I think you need to mind your own business."

"Amelia is my business."

"Then you should have made her your business when Abby and Jake were treating her like shit."

"You're her teacher. Olivia, you are with her Monday through Friday and you never noticed anything? I live in Oregon. I couldn't just go take Amelia without a legal fight. You are a mandated reporter. You could see that she is underweight. Honestly, I don't even know why you want to keep Amelia. If you didn't want her when Jake and Abby were alive, why do you want her when they're dead? How are you going to treat her when you have kids with Fitz? These are the difficult questions you need to ask yourself."

"She's my child."

"Okay, I hope you keep reminding yourself of that every day, because If Amelia gets hurt, I'm coming after you and Fitz. I made the mistake of not stepping up when Abby and Jake were problematic, I won't let her get hurt again."

"Goodbye Gina."

"That didn't sound like a friendly phone call."

"It wasn't."

Olivia continued to stock the cabinet with the gelatin free groceries. How dare Gina threaten her? Amelia was still at the hospital with Maya. Olivia wanted to make sure that Amelia had safe snacks. She had to shop at several specialty grocery stores to get everything on the list. The doctors confirmed the allergy.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No, I want to be alone with my thoughts for a while."

"Okay, do you want me to get Karen, or should we wait until we get Amelia?"

"You can get Karen."

"You're a good mom Olivia."

"Thank you."
