Welcome back to Prophecy of Masks! Last time, the final assault against the OverLord began, but Agito didn't get to do very much, because the villain actually defected and surrendered the Agito Ridewatch. And as the story ended, we saw that Eiji Hino, Kamen Rider OOO is somewhere in this world, as evidenced by his particularly gaudy underwear on a clothesline. But that begs the question: Where is he? Read on to discover...
(Our story resumes in the Temple, where garlands and silks are being hung in the central chamber. Spyro and Cynder's wedding is just around the corner, and everybody is getting into the celebratory mood. But there are a few people the good vibes haven't hit yet. Notably the bride and groom, who specifically are examining their collection of Ridewatches, thinking about the OverLord's words from their last confrontation)
Spyro: There's only three left...
Cynder: And things are about to get harder. The Night of Eternal Darkness is nearing, so the remaining adversaries are likely to be stronger.
Spyro: Good point. (Remembering what is going on soon) But, let's put that from our minds for a bit. We've got a wedding to finalize.
Cynder: Good call. Considering you and I both have ceremonial robes to be fitted for.
(As the two go their separate ways, we soon catch up with Spyro, now joined by Woz and Geiz, the latter of whom is just sitting in a corner, thinking about everything, while Spyro is fitted with violet and gold robes, dotted with bronze armor, made from the fabric Double and Phillip brought over from Windscales)
Tailor: I will admit, this fabric was very strange to work with. But I believe this is my finest work yet.
Spyro: (Getting used to the feel) And your payment will reflect that. (To Woz and Geiz) Well, what do you think?
Woz: You look amazing, Lord Spyro. Lady Cynder is very lucky.
(Geiz, meanwhile, doesn't respond, lost in thought.)
Spyro: Geiz? You okay?
Geiz: (Startled from his thoughts) Huh? Oh, sorry, I was... just thinking.
Spyro: About your dreams actually being memories?
Geiz: It doesn't make sense. All of it actually happened?
Spyro: And apparently you're supposed to remind everyone that it did.
Geiz: How exactly am I supposed to do that?!
Woz: That is one of the great mysteries left to solve. But for now, put that far from your mind, Geiz. We have a joyous moment to bear witness to soon enough. Who doesn't love a wedding after all?
Spyro: However it happens, I'm sure you'll be able to handle it Geiz.
Geiz: I guess what I'm more worried about is how I'm going to know when the time is.
Spyro: As far as I can tell, your heart will tell you when the moment is right. And at that moment, you'll know just what to do.
Woz: You can trust Lord Spyro on that, Geiz.
(On this moment of calm, we transition over to a second tailor's shop, where we see Cynder, joined by Tsukuyomi being fitted for her gown, a lovely blend of white and black silk adorned with obsidian crystals, and a laurel of cherry blossoms and edelweiss.)
Tailor: Ah, très magnifique! This is my magnum opus, and made for a truly fitting model.
Cynder: Please, you're embarrassing me.
Tsukuyomi: Trust me Cynder, she's right. You look... amazing. I mean the intertwining silks and obsidian really... there are no words.
Cynder: (Blushing if dragons were capable of it) Thanks, Tsukuyomi.
Tailor: (Pinning an edelweiss flower into the laurel) And there we go. Perfect.
(Now we fast forward a few moments back to the temple where while speaking with their allies, when the two suddenly meet up in the hallway, each completely starstruck by the other. Spyro's eyes are transfixed by the obsidian gems woven into her silk gown, accentuating everything about her. Meanwhile Cynder's gaze is locked upon the bronze armor accenting the violet and gold robes, accentuating his muscular frame. Needless to say, each is completely speechless, leaving their companions to try and vocalize for them)
Woz: Oh my... Lady Cynder, you look divine!
Tsukuyomi: (To Cynder) You've really caught a good one, Cynder.
(Before Geiz can add his piece, the two starstruck dragons snap out of their trances)
Spyro: (Stammering) You... look absolutely beautiful, Cynder.
Cynder: (Barely hiding a smile) You're quite the looker yourself, love.
(And just as the awkwardness in this scene hits it's maximum tension, a resounding thud can be heard as we see a man in blue and black running down the hallway only to slip and fall, catching the attention of the entire room, particularly Geiz, who seems to recognize the figure, who he immediately rushes to aid)
Geiz: Michal? What are you doing here?
Spyro: Who's this guy?
Woz: Michal Minato, a Kamen Rider from the far future.
Aqua: Good to see you too, Woz. (Getting back up) As to what I'm doing here, I got Decade's warning about these revivals through Eiji and came to help. But once we entered this world, Eiji and I got split up.
Woz: So you sought out Lord Spyro and Lady Cynder, thinking they'd seen him. I can attest to us not having seen him. OOO is one of the three Kamen Riders of the last era we haven't encountered. But doesn't he camp a lot?
Aqua: I found his campsite, and that's not what's got me worried. It's what I found at his campsite that's got me worried.
Cynder: Calm yourself, friend. We'll help you locate this Eiji. Take us to the site and show us what's got you so worried.
Aqua: (Surprised by the promptness) Okay.
(Fast forward a few minutes, and the entire group, with Spyro and Cynder out of their wedding attire, is at Eiji's campsite, where Aqua is looking around nervously as the entire team investigates)
Spyro: I'll give your friend this, he knows how to keep a clean campsite. But I don't see anything indicative of a dire circumstance.
Aqua: Check the clothesline.
Cynder: (Looking at Eiji's clothesline and seeing a familiar pair of boxer shorts) I'm assuming those're some kind of clothing. I'm still not seeing it. He probably just went for a walk or something while those dried.
Aqua: No, no, no, you don't understand Eiji. He never goes anywhere without an extra pair of underwear. It's his weird philosophy I admittedly picked up after meeting him for the first time.
Woz: Actually he makes a valid point.
Spyro: Okay, this may be the weirdest scenario we've found ourselves in yet. But even still, you'll have our aid in finding your friend.
Aqua: Thanks.
Cynder: Alright, first thing we're going to do is split up and search the woods for any sign of our missing ally. Let's get going.
(And with that, the group splits up into the woods: Spyro, Cynder, and Aqua in one group, with Woz, Tsukuyomi, and Geiz in the other one, as our tale ends for today)
And that wraps up the beginning of the OOO Arc. So the first mystery, where exactly is OOO? Let's hope Kamen Rider Aqua can help clear things up, though he seems as bewildered as the rest of us. But don't worry, things will be explained as we move on. So how is this going to go? Tune in next time to start finding out! Same time... same channel!
