A/N: Thank you, Fritzen, for your review! I appreciate it so much. Hope you enjoy this one.

The next morning, Flynn returned to Tenley's room with two mugs of fresh coffee. He had slipped out early before anyone else woke up to make the coffee and return. He closed the door quietly behind him, locking it out of habit. He turned to see Tenley's eyes fluttering open. She smiled at him, stretching slightly in bed.

"I didn't mean to wake you," he whispered, setting the mugs on the side table. He climbed back into the bed, wrapping his arms around her. He kissed the top of her head as she nuzzled closer to him.

"I got cold," she whispered. "Where did you go?"

He chuckled. "I made coffee."

She sat up slightly as he retrieved her cup, passing it over to her. She inhaled deeply. "Oh...this smells amazing…thank you!"

He watched her for a moment. Her mannerisms were much like how they were before her disappearance and memory issues. He missed this version of her. He took a sip of his coffee before placing the mug back onto the table. "So, Nine?"

Her eyebrow raised as she turned her gaze over to him. "So, Flynn?"

His eyes bounced about her face as he asked, "I have to ask...how did you get your memory back?"

She shifted in bed, setting the mug down on her end table. "You'll think I'm lying."

"I promise you," he reassured her. "I don't think there's anything you could say to me that would make me think you were lying."

She held his gaze before admitting, "I read about it."

"What?"

She nodded. "I found a book tucked under my mattress."

"What book?" he questioned, sitting up more.

She reached over the bedside, digging under the mattress. She returned with a leather-bound book. Before she could say anything more about it, the bunker alarms sounded.

"Active time travel initiated."

She sighed, setting the book back on the table. "Timing is fantastic." She looked at him. "I'll be out as soon as I get dressed.

He nodded, showing himself out of her room, making a mental note to grab that journal. He marched down the hallway. As he neared the bedroom of the others, they emerged.

"What time is it?" Rufus asked, rubbing his eyes with the palms of his hands.

Flynn didn't blink at the question as they crossed the main room. "6:04am"

Rufus groaned as they entered the control room. Jiya sat down, typing at the console. "Uh, wow," she muttered. She turned to look at the others. "New York. July 23, 1980."

Lucy thought about the date for a moment. She shrugged. "Everything I can think of wasn't in New York."

"1980, huh?" Mason recalled. "That's going to cause quite a problem for your crew…"

Denise nodded. "I noticed…" she glanced at them. "It looks like it will be Rufus, Lucy…" she paused, looking at Wyatt. She turned her gaze over to Tenley who had joined them as the date was revealed. "How is Wyatt? Is he safe to travel?"

Tenley opened her mouth, inhaling sharply. It was apparent on her face that she wasn't convinced. "I…"

"I'm fine," Wyatt chimed in. "I can do this."

"I think you might need to wait," Denise stated on behalf of Tenley. "Your encounter with your future self seemed to do a number on you."

"Come on," he complained. "I'm fine. I'll take the transmitter as we agreed and I'll be careful."

Agent Christopher studied him. He still looked beat up and exhausted. She shook her head. "I think it would be best if you waited. Get caught up on some sleep."

"Who's going to go with and protect them?" he countered. He motioned over to Flynn. "It can't be him because he's already alive!"

Agent Christopher nodded. "I understand that...but…"

Mason said, turning to look at Tenley, "It looks like Rufus, Jiya, Lucy, and Tenley."

Wyatt scoffed. "None of them have been trained-"

"Tenley has been," Mason countered. "Isn't that right? Didn't you say Rittenhouse was training you?"

Tenley blinked, feeling nervous as all eyes landed on her. "Sort of…"

"This is stupid," Wyatt complained. "I should be the one going-"

Agent Christopher ignored Wyatt and approached Tenley. She pulled the doctor off to the side where the weapon lockers stood. Opening it, she pulled out a sidearm. "Do you know how to use it?" Tenley stared at the woman for a moment with a half-shrug.

Flynn watched as Agent Christopher explained the basics to Tenley on her sidearm. He started to feel the panic rising deep within him. He just got the woman he loved back and he risked losing her again.

His heart leapt as he realized how much he loved her. He had said it to her once or twice but it felt different somehow. He wanted to tell her but now wasn't the time. He hoped it wouldn't be too late when he could.

Tenley took the gun and pulled on a jacket to hide the holster. She looked nervous as she approached the others. She didn't want to travel through time again. She didn't trust herself. She wasn't a warrior or a soldier. There was too much pressure on her shoulders to protect the others. She feared failing all of them.

Flynn saw the war raging inside her mind. He crossed the hallway, closing the gap between them. He grasped her shoulders gently, looking into her dark eyes. "Hey," he whispered. "You'll be okay."

She blinked at him, tears slowly welled behind them. "You don't even believe that," she pointed out. She blew a sigh out from her lips. "Let's just hope I don't have to use it…"

"I believe in you," he told her. "You'll be okay…"

Wyatt cleared his throat, stepping up to her. "Let me show you a few tricks, okay?" he asked, glancing up to Flynn, "unless you've done that already?" Flynn shook his head, stepping back to give Wyatt room.

After a moment, Agent Christopher said, "We have to move." Agent Christopher glanced over the team chosen to go. With a nervous voice, she stated. "Be safe."

Tenley offered a small smile to Flynn as she brushed by him, following the others into the Lifeboat. The hatch closed and Flynn and Wyatt watched as the others disappeared without them, both feeling useless at the moment.

1980

The Lifeboat landed inside an abandoned building. The windows were shattered out of the frames, creating a blanket of glass on the ground. The metal support beams standing on the cement floor to support the ceiling were rusted, showing its wear from the elements.

The team walked across the glass shards, crunching underfoot as they peered out of the broken window. Rufus patted his pockets. "I forgot the-"

"The transmitter?" Jiya asked, finishing his sentence. She held it up for everyone to see. "I've got you covered."

"What would I do without you?" he asked, smiling at her. He kissed her forehead.

She chuckled. "Probably get lost, stranded, or a variety of other things."

Lucy's eyes remained outside as she scanned the area. Tenley watched her for a moment before asking, "What are you thinking?"

Lucy finally tore her eyes away from the city to look at the doctor. "I'm trying to think up a reason for why we're here - why now? What is so important here?"

"Maybe it's not a what but a who?" Tenley suggested. "They've done that before."

Lucy nodded. "Usually we have a clear cut direction though when we travel back but...I don't know...something seems off." She turned to Tenley and added with her voice barely a whisper, "I feel it…"

Tenley saw the familiar look on her face as she nodded slowly. "Well, let's see what we can discover. Maybe we'll get a visit from a future version of someone."

Lucy shrugged. "Let's hope it's Wyatt if that is the case."

Rufus wrapped his arm around Jiya as the team began to make their way out of the old building and into the city of New York. The group continued down the sidewalk, taking in the difference between New York in the 80s to how they saw it in their present time.

As Lucy began randomly talking about the places they were seeing, almost to try to coax something useful for their purpose forward, Jiya stopped them. "Guys?" When she had their attention, she pointed across the street. "Is that Wyatt?"

The others glanced over to where she was pointing. Standing amongst the crowd of people waiting to cross the street at the crosswalk, was a man wearing a blue windbreaker with a hood pulled over. Despite the hood not hiding his face, the team noticed the familiar scowl and piercing blue eyes staring ahead. He didn't seem to notice them yet.

"That's definitely Wyatt," Rufus muttered. "I'd recognize that look of disapproval from a mile away."

Lucy rolled her eyes as she stared at Wyatt. She noticed he seemed different - more worn around the edges. The crowds at the crosswalk started to move and Lucy noticed Wyatt talking to someone quickly before he walked with the crowds. Lucy's eyes drifted through the moving people to see the familiar frame of Emma. "Is that Emma?"

She watched as Emma and Wyatt went in different directions. The team spotted the familiar red hair in the crowds, moving away from Wyatt and the others.

Tenley stopped the team. "Wait...something's not right."

"Yeah," Rufus agreed. "Emma just proved this is a Rittenhouse mission."

Tenley shook her head. "They separated." She glanced at them. "Wyatt was right there. Why would he walk away from Emma unless-"

"Unless he's working with her," Lucy finished. She chewed on her lower lip as she thought through what Tenley was suggesting.

Rufus's eyes widened at the thought. "You think Wyatt's working with Emma? With Rittenhouse?"

Lucy shrugged. "I saw him speak with her before they walked separate ways-"

"Hold the phone," Rufus interrupted. "You're suggesting Wyatt - your Wyatt - gung-ho, pull the trigger first and ask questions later, Wyatt… is working with Rittenhouse?"

Tenley's eyes drifted through the crowds. "We shouldn't keep our eyes off of them," she warned, turning back to them. "Rittenhouse is missing a time machine in our timeline, right? What if this is the moment they steal ours from us?"

Rufus's mouth fell open. "You...you think…"

Tenley shrugged her shoulders. "You're the one who's always saying time travel is confusing and all… but… if Bloodstone took the time machine from Rittenhouse to make the Death Star version-"

"How do you remember that?" Rufus interrupted her. "Or any of this, for that matter?"

Tenley licked her lips. "Yeah," she started, shifting in place, "I got my memory back recently."

Lucy sighed. "Can we discuss the memory thing later?" she asked. She turned back to Tenley. "You think because Bloodstone took the Mothership from Rittenhouse, Rittenhouse is looking for the LIfeboat?"

Jiya cleared her throat. "That's what my vision showed me…" she saw everyone look at her and added, "for what it's worth."

"Then we should head back to the Lifeboat," Rufus stated.

"I think you and Jiya should head back to the Lifeboat," Tenley stated.

"What?" Rufus muttered as he stared at her in disbelief. "What about you?"

Tenley motioned in the direction Wyatt had gone. "We need to figure out why Wyatt is here."

"I have a bad feeling about this," Rufus told her.

Tenley passed her gun over to him, careful as to not attract attention as she did so. "Take this," she whispered. "You'll need it more than us-"

Rufus stepped closer, whispering, "You're going up against Wyatt-"

"And you're going up against Emma!" she hissed back. "Besides, I have Wyatt's kryptonite."

"What's that?"

"Lucy," Tenley said with a smile. She pushed the gun toward him again. "Take it."

Reluctantly, Rufus took the gun from Tenley, pocketing it into his hoodie, hoping he wouldn't be shaken down by the local police. He grabbed Jiya's hand. "Be safe," he told them.

"Come back for us later, yeah?" Tenley replied. "Don't forget us."

He nodded and the two rushed back to the abandoned building where the Lifeboat sat unprotected.

Tenley and Lucy exchanged glances. With a heavy sigh, the two followed Wyatt's trail. Lucy's pace quickened, leaving Tenley to try to keep up as she glanced around. "Where do you think he's heading?" Tenley asked.

Lucy shook her head. "I have no idea," she said.

Tenley gasped for air. "Hey, slow down," she complained. "You're in such a hurry-"

Lucy stopped in her tracks, causing Tenley to bump into her slightly. Tenley looked at her before glancing over to see what had Lucy's attention. Lucy blinked at the building across the street. "The Metropolitan Opera House."

"You think he went there?" Tenley asked, squinting at the building as she tried to normalize her breathing. "What makes you think that?"

Lucy pointed to the revolving doors on the building. "Because he's heading inside right now." She grabbed Tenley's wrist, tugging her alongside as they crossed the street. "Come on!"

Tenley nearly tripped over her feet as she struggled to keep up with Lucy. The two reached the revolving door and Lucy pushed her way through first, Tenley following behind.

Once they were inside, Lucy's eyes darted around the entrance. She didn't see Wyatt. There were so many different exits that led deeper into the opera house, she knew they'd get lost if they randomly picked a direction.

"Any ideas?" Tenley asked, eyes bouncing about the large lobby. "He could be anywhere."

Lucy's lips twisted in thought. "He brought us here for a reason…" she muttered. "He's showing us something."

"Are you sure?" Tenley asked, unconvinced. "Maybe he's trying to distract-"

An usher started to walk by them when Lucy reached out to stop him. "Excuse me," she began. "Do you have a program of upcoming shows?"

The usher nodded, pointing across the lobby. "Over there on the shelf."

Lucy smiled and nodded her thanks before marching over. Tenley followed a couple of feet behind. Lucy snatched up a program, thumbing through the listed events.

"Anything?" Tenley asked, turning to look about the lobby. She felt eyes on them and was immediately on edge.

Lucy started to shake her head before she stopped on a page. She scanned the picture of all of the performers. "I don't know…"

A large metal door slamming across the lobby echoed loudly, startling both women. Their eyes shot over to the area, seeing the familiar hooded frame of Wyatt as he dodged into a dark side hallway.

Lucy grabbed Tenley's wrist, tugging her along. "Come on! We can't lose him this time!"
