Hey guys! So this chapter is shorter than the rest because I find it harder to write as Obito but it is an important chapter and I do love some of the scenes! I hope everyone enjoys it.
Since this chapter is a short one and I have 600 reviews I wanted to post this one today! We shall see if you like what I've done, I may be slightly evil.

Three days. It had taken three days to reach Konoha, stopping in several villages on the way to see what more information could be picked up about this Nohara-even thinking the name made Obito's blood boil.

There was no way this new Nohara was related to Rin, therefore they deserved to die for daring to use that name, a name that wasn't theirs.

He closed his eyes and forced himself to breath in slowly as they reached the outskirts of Konoha.

He would enter separately from Kisame and Itachi-he planned on using a henge of course, they'd serve as a decent enough distraction, he knew Itachi hoped he'd catch a glimpse of his younger brother, Obito didn't overly care. He needed know more about this Nohara, that was all that mattered.

He didn't bother wasting time going through the gates, he simply used Kamui to transport himself into the village proper, making sure his henge was passable as he made his way onto the streets of the village, gaze flitting around, hate heavy in his stomach.

Oh how he despised this place. It created hate and bloodshed. It had failed him and Rin while Kakashi-the man who murdered her, his beloved Rin, was alive and well, undoubtedly thriving he thought bitterly.

Yes, yes it would be better when the plan came to traction, he could be with Rin again, in a world where Kakashi wasn't a treacherous murderer, where their sensei hadn't failed them. They'd be happy there.

The tension eased from his shoulders as he pictured the future-admittedly there were several issues-the mysterious absence of the Sanbi-no one had any clue where the damn Bijuu had disappeared to, and of course the Kyubi.

That one was infuriating, first his plan had failed, and the Kyubi had gotten sealed inside of little Naruto, his sensei's precious little newborn babe, and then less than six months later he'd learned that the child had disappeared while she was supposed to be in the custody of the caretakers at Konoha's only orphanage-when he'd done some digging he'd learned that they'd rarely fed the babe, that they'd rarely changed her or picked her up. The chances were the child had died and they'd covered it up.

He growled under his breath, shaking his head.

How could he have ever loved a village capable of that?

In any case it was annoying-if the Jinchuriki was dead then where was the Kyubi should have surfaced by now, but as with the Sanbi there were no signs of it. Without two of the Jinchuriki they wouldn't be able to make the plan work.

He shook away those thoughts, focusing on the task at hand-killing whoever dared to call themselves by Rin's name. First he needed to find out more about them.

Thankfully, he found that was incredibly easy-a boy who he presumed was Sasuke, Itachi's younger brother was talking with a red haired girl who might just be an Uzumaki from the look of her and Obito made his way towards them as casually as he could-they were talking to some other children who looked around the same age, no one special from his judgement-one of them, a short brown haired boy was leaning in eagerly.

"You're on Nohara-sama's team." the boy was speaking, "Where is she, I wanna meet her."

"She's on a mission-"

"She's so cool." the boy's voice was almost excited, "Is it true she fought the first two Hokages."

"I don't know." Sasuke was clearly annoyed-his teeth were practically grinding together and he looked like he wanted to punch the boy-and there were four others, two girls and two other boys. "That's what the rumors say. I haven't spoken to her."

"Of course she did." that was one of the girls. "Didn't you see that rooftop it had loads of trees and wood, that's from the Shodaime." the girl almost had stars in her eyes, "Do you know where she went?"

"I don't know."

"She was sent to help track down Tsunade-sama." the red haired girl spoke up, rolling her eyes, "Now if you could go away I was sent to fetch Sasuke-san and bring him to Kakashi-san-"

Obito nearly snarled. So, this fraud was on that murderers team, of course she was. He'd gladly wring that killers neck if he got the chance.

"Who do you think you are." that was the second girl, she flipped her hair over her shoulder, giving the red head a dirty look.

"Uzumaki Karin." the newly named Karin glared, "And I'm your precious Nohara-sama's cousin so watch your tone when you talk to me-" and that was interesting. This false Nohara was related to an Uzumaki. Perhaps... no he needed to see the girl first.

"What?" that was boy 2, one of the ones who'd yet to speak, "You're her cousin?"

"Damn right I am." Karin growled, "Now let us leave-"

"We just want to know where she is."

"And we just told you she's on a mission." Sasuke snapped, "She'll be back soon-"

"She must be so strong." girl one said almost reverently.

"Of course she is." Sasuke glared, "Now go away-"

"But-"

"He said go away!" Karin yelled that, shaking her head before she started towing Sasuke away, and Obito frowned to himself.

So, they were searching for Tsunade-that narrowed it down she tended to linger in areas with lots of casino's so she could gamble away money she didn't actually have.

He thought about that as he stealthily followed the boy and girl, making his way through the streets of Konoha after them-if the girl was taking Sasuke to Kakashi Obito would want to see the silver haired bastard. And kill him, maybe, if he got the chance.

Of course as they approached his eyes narrowed when he heard shouting, and he sped up as Karin and Sasuke did too-and soon he saw two familiar figures stood in front of Kakashi-who was staggering backwards away from Itachi.

Obito clenched his fists, watching as Sasuke rushed towards his brother, who simply sneered and hit him away, sending the boy flying backwards-then Itachi noticed him and his back straightened slightly, "This one won't talk even after Tsukuyomi."

And of course. Of course Kakashi wouldn't talk-he hadn't protected his own friend, his own teammate, but he was willing to suffer torture for this fraud. Obito felt a wave of rage once more and he surged forward, grabbing the front of Kakashi's flak jacket even as he managed to stagger to his feet.

"You dare." his voice was a low growl, "You let someone use her name."

"What?" Kakashi's eyes narrowed, "What are you-" he gasped in pain-mainly because Obito had made his arm become incorporeal before shoving it through Kakashi's shoulder and making it solid again, then he ripped it out and Kakashi was toppling to the ground- unaware just who his attacker was as Karin and Sasuke rushed towards him, the latter glaring hatefully at his brother.

"We don't need him." Obito spoke up, "I heard the two children speaking, the Nohara girl is searching for Tsunade. We know where they'll look."

"What?" Sasuke's voice was angry "You're here for-" but Obito didn't hear the next part of his sentence because he was grabbing Itachi and Kisame's arms and he used Kamui to transport them back outside of Konoha, where he let out a breath.

Hurting Kakashi had been far more satisfying than he'd expected it to be.

"If she's searching for Tsunade then we head towards the nearest gambling two. It's a few days walk from here-we don't know how they're travelling so it's best to walk." Itachi spoke up, eying Obito wearily.

The boy already hadn't trusted him, clearly his loss of his temper with Kakashi hadn't helped the boys view of him.

It didn't matter in any case, Obito cared very little what his young cousin thought of him.

Still if there was anyone who could be a threat to him it was Itachi so he'd keep an eye on him.

"Let's go." he had no reason to act as Tobi around these two at least. They both believed him to be Madara, and by this point the act almost felt easier than breathing.

Kisame, rather wisely, chose not to speak-an uncharacteristic show of restraint, and soon they were moving together, Obito allowing his henge to drop as they raced away from Konoha, intent on finding Konoha's new hero.

And of course, Obito was entirely unaware of the fact that if he'd stayed just a few moments longer he'd have seen Rin once more, alive and well, screaming Kakashi's name, tears pouring down her cheeks as she rushed to his side to try and heal him.

A few moments longer, and perhaps he'd have seen her again, a few moments longer and perhaps he'd have learned the truth.
