"We'll file your statements down at the station. There's been no word on Jasmine's whereabouts yet, but it's getting dark, so she'll most likely stop soon. We'll be having teams search through the night, so we should catch her soon." Kat informs them as she wraps the questioning up for the statements that she took from their house.
"Let us know when you do." Heath says.
"You'll be the first to know." Kat nods as she leaves.
"Who wants pizza?" Heath says with a grin.
"It's fine, Heath, I'll go and pick your kids up from Irene's." Bianca glares at him before walking towards the door. "Don't bother coming home tonight, you can sleep on this couch." She says before walking out.
"What was that about?" Casey asks as he hands Lillie over to Kyle.
"They had an argument in the hospital and I think I walked in on it." Kyle says.
"It's fine, we'll sort it out in the morning." Heath shrugs. "Now we getting pizza or not? I'm starving."
"Or how about the mushroom tagliatelle I made before you came home?" Ricky suggests.
"Is there anything you can't do?" Heath asks.
"No, I don't think there is." Ricky smirks. "Now all of you go and sit at the table, I'll dish it up."
"I'll just put Lillie down in the cot." Kyle says, walking over to the one by the door, placing her down before shutting it.
"Where's Emilia going?" Denny asks as Brax walks in with the other cot to go behind the couch. "I guess right there." She chuckles, gently placing her down in it before sitting down at the table.
"Bianca, we need to talk about whatever this is." Heath says, watching her storm about in the kitchen.
"Depends. Are you actually going to listen to me, or just make out like I'm the bad guy." Bianca hisses as she turns to face him.
"How am I making you out as the bad guy?" Heath asks.
"You're always taking Brax's side over mine! He's suddenly clicking his fingers and you are straight there like a dog ready to do whatever he says. You promised to starting putting us and the kids first, then you go and get stabbed." Bianca argues.
"I've already told you that was me trying to stop Jasmine from escaping the police! She tried getting Lillie from Kyle again, Brax had nothing to do with me getting stabbed." Heath moans.
"Yet somehow she still managed to escape." Bianca says.
"Because she stabbed me and got away! How many times do I have to tell you that?" Heath sighs, getting annoyed of saying the same things over and over. "We are not going back to our 'River Boy days', those days are over with. If we were back there, we wouldn't have police watching my brothers house because we would have already killed both Jasmine and Ryan for what they did to Kyle. So I don't know how you could say that because none of this would be right happening if we were back there. Stop making out like my family are still criminals or you can find somewhere else to live, without me or my kids." He hisses, walking out across the road to see his kids as he sent them over to spend time with Emilia and Lillie.
"Heath, wasn't expecting to see you here for a while." Casey says as he walks in.
"Yeah well our chat went quicker than I thought it would." Heath shrugs. "Kyle not here?" He asks, not seeing his brother or niece around.
"He's just in the bathroom bathing Lillie. He should be finished soon." Casey says.
"And Brax?"
"Taking a call in the garden with Ricky. I was left on kids duty as Denny needed to cover a shift at Angelo's." Casey says.
"Who's he on the phone to?" Heath frowns, wondering if it could be news about Jasmine.
"No idea, he didn't say." Casey says as Kyle walks out.
"Hey mate." Heath says, sitting on the arm of the couch.
"Hey, thought you were spending the morning with Bianca?" Kyle asks, placing Lillie down next to Darcy before sitting down on the couch, Bruno jumping up next to him.
"Change of plans." Heath says, petting Bruno's head. "Keeping track of your dog today then?" He smirks.
"That wasn't my fault yesterday." Kyle says.
"Where was he again? Brax never said at the hospital." Heath says.
"In the Surf Club annoying John." Kyle grins.
"I guess he's a Braxton after all." Heath laughs.
"He also found my phone which I managed to lose as well." Kyle says as he pulls it from his pocket.
"Is there anything you didn't lose?" Heath asks.
"Lillie." Kyle smiles.
"Fair point." Heath nods. "But I got stabbed so you wouldn't."
"Didn't you say it was 'just a scratch'?" Kyle says, not moving fast enough to dodge Heath whacking him across the head.
"You try being stabbed, it ain't fun." Heath says. "Especially by that psycho, she got lucky I didn't kill her there and then." He shakes his head.
"You were too busy screaming about it being painful." Kyle scoffs, Heath quickly pinning him down on the couch. "What? It's true."
"Shut your mouth or you'll be first on my list of murders." Heath warns.
"And leave Lillie an orphan? Even you're not that heartless." Kyle smiles.
"Oi, what's going on?" Brax asks as him and Ricky walk in, seeing the two middle brothers on the couch.
"Just Kyle winding Heath up about his scratch." Casey says, grinning at Heath.
"It wasn't just a scratch, she stabbed me!" Heath moans, letting Kyle go to stand up.
"You keep changing your mind about whether it was a scratch or stabbing…" Kyle trails off, getting a glare from his brother.
"You'd think from the crying it was a butchers knife." Brax smirks as he walks over to them. "Can I have a word in the flat?" He asks Kyle.
"Sure." Kyle frowns, following his brother into the flat. "Everything okay?"
"That was McCarthy on the phone. They couldn't find Jasmine in the forest and there were fresh tyre tracks leading out of one of the trails that was meant to have been bordered off months ago. It looks like she had already planned her escape, and unblocked the road, which the police wouldn't have known about before finding it." Brax explains.
"So she's still out there?" Kyle asks.
"Yeah, that's why they're keeping the police around the house until she's been caught. They're also planning on keeping Ryan's trial for a few weeks time…" Brax says, hesitating about the next part. "They want you to take the stand against him, which could help get him extra years in prison."
"But they said my statement and the evidence would be enough." Kyle frowns. "You said I wouldn't have to go if I didn't want to."
"I know but their lawyer is calling for you to take the stand, as well as Tori, or they could be let off the charges for lack of evidence. And I know they've got loads of evidence to back us up, but they've hired one of the best lawyer in the country. Apparently because Ryan was a FED and Jasmine was a nurse, he can use that to make them out as good people who have been set up for the crimes they were charged for, including taking Lillie." Brax says.
"But they did take her!"
"I know, we all do. McCarthy recons the lawyer will make out like you gave Lillie to them, which is why you taking the stand against them will help massively." Brax says.
"Can I think about it?" Kyle asks.
"Sure, I'll tell McCarthy you need time to think. Just let me know when you've made a decision and I'll get back to him." Brax says.
"Yeah, I'll tell you." Kyle mutters, walking back into the house to be with Lillie, unintentionally ignoring his family trying to talk to him as he thought about whether he should take to the stand or not.
