One hour later, Olivia was mindlessly flipping through channels. Fitz was still at his mom's house. Olivia was still upset with Gina. She didn't think inviting Abby's sister into their lives would cause problems. She should have expected it. The doorbell rang and Olivia didn't bother getting up until the person refused to leave her doorstep. After a few minutes of ringing the bell, Olivia answered the door.

"Hi, are you Olivia Pope?"

"Who are you?"

"I'm a social worker."

The woman showed Olivia her ID. Clara Brisco. Olivia was utterly confused. Did Gina really call CPS that fast?

"Can I come in?"

"Yeah."

"I'm sure you know I'm here about Amelia. You weren't at the hospital yesterday or today. I need to speak with you before the doctor signs Amelia's discharge papers."

"Okay."

"Did you know about her allergy?"

"No."

"Amelia had a very bad allergic reaction to a marshmallow. She would have died if she didn't get medical attention immediately. Has she ever had candy or desserts?"

"Yes, and she's never had an allergic reaction. She never had marshmallows before yesterday."

"I'm sure she did have a reaction. It wasn't severe. I need to look in your pantry. I can't let her come home if she doesn't have safe food in your home."

"She has her own cabinet."

Olivia let the social worker walk around her kitchen. She looked in the cabinets, pantry and fridge."

"Does she get three meals and two snacks every day? She is a little underweight."

"She does. Amelia lived with her dad until a few weeks ago. He wasn't a great provider, but every child needs their deadbeat father right?"

"Well, she needs to eat when she's at his house."

"He's dead. So, Amelia won't be going to his house anymore."

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"I'm not."

"You had a difficult co-parenting arrangement. Amelia will need therapy. He was her dad no matter how much you hate him."

"Do you need to see anything else in my home?"

"No, thank you for letting me look around your kitchen."

Olivia debated calling Fitz when Clara left. She was so upset.
