Nico collapsed as soon as his feet hit the sand. He fell on his face and groaned in pain. To his right, Reyna collapsed and let out a strangled cry of pain. Her face was covered in blood. While her hands and shirt were covered in blood, most of it wasn't her own.

A shiver ran down Nico's spine as he thought about what Reyna had done. He could understand wanting to hurt the person that caused the death of a loved one. He lived it when Bianca died. All he wanted to do was avenge her and make Percy pay. But, he would have never tortured Percy. Not like that.

Nico closed his eyes tightly. They had left Kendall's corpse in that room. He would never forget the image of Kendall's lungs hanging out of her body. Every time Reyna moved a rib caused Nico to want to retch more and more. As he remembered it, he shivered again and tried to calm down.

"Nico," Reyna choked out. It took a moment for Nico to open his eyes. Reyna had both hands to her knee. "Fuck. Nico, are you there?"

"Yes," Nico answered after a few moments. He had used most of his strength to shadow travel them there, and Reyna had shared her strength as well. It took him a moment to lift his head. The ship was still docked near the beach. Did anyone even know they had been missing?

"I can't," Reyna wheezed. A slew of curses left her mouth, and she spat blood out. Reyna placed both hands to her face and let out a whimper of pain. Nico should have felt bad, but he couldn't get that image out of his head. Reyna had smiled when she was torturing Kendall. She seemed to love all the noises of agony that Kendall made. What kind of person enjoyed that?

Nico wanted to ask how Reyna had enough strength to kill someone but not enough now. Was she so focused on revenge that she used the rest of her strength to torture someone? Reyna choked something else out, and her head collapsed back against the sand. Nico tried to sit up, but pain tore through his stomach.

"Can't what?" Nico slowly asked. He lifted his head enough to see someone was racing towards them. Nico laid his head back on the ground and groaned softly.

"Breathe," Reyna gasped. She let out strangled wheezes and placed both hands to her chest. Nico tried to move to help but couldn't. Jason appeared over Nico and knelt by him.

"We've been looking all over," Jason began. He looked in between the two of them.

"Help Reyna. She needs it more," Nico groaned. Jason nodded and moved to Reyna's side. Piper knelt by her as well. Nico laid his head back and focused on the sun. He heard the sounds of coughing and looked back at Reyna. The pirate had turned on her side and was coughing out blood.

"We'll get you some medicine," Piper promised. Jason reached into his pocket. Nico tried to sit up but was unable to. He closed his eyes and groaned in pain.

"I already gave her too much," Nico said softly. Piper moved to his side and looked him over. She gently placed one hand on his face. "I'm fine."

"You are not fine," Piper whispered. Nico saw a blur of movement, and Isabella appeared at their side. She shoved Jason out of the way and knelt by Reyna. Isabella cursed under her breath and gently lifted Reyna's head.

"What happened?" Isabella demanded. She cradled Reyna's head and glared at Nico. Jason moved in front of Nico and crossed his arms.

"Stop," Nico groaned. He tried to sit up, but Piper stopped him. "Marcus kidnapped us. He was going to trade us to the Mistveil, but they killed him. They took us hostage. Kendall tortured us."

"Tortured you how?" Isabella asked softly. She cradled Reyna and wiped the blood from her mouth. Isabella placed her hand on Reyna's side. A soft groan escaped the pirate captain, and she winced in pain.

Nico shook his head and didn't answer. Isabella glared at them and picked Reyna up. She turned and walked towards the ship. Piper and Jason knelt by Nico. They helped him stand, and they led him towards Calypso's hut.

"Reyna killed Kendall, but she tortured her," Nico whispered. "It was horrible."

"Don't worry about it, Nico. We can talk about it later. First, we need to get you some medical help and rest," Jason said. Nico didn't answer. His head was starting to droop forward. He was completely and utterly exhausted by everything that had happened. Nico's eyes closed, and he drifted off to sleep.

As Nico opened his eyes, he sighed as he found himself dreaming. It looked like he was in some kind of office. Damon was sitting in a chair and staring ahead. There was a wild look in his eyes, and he rapidly tapped his finger on the desk.

Arke stood across from him. There was a small smile on her face as she studied Damon. After a moment, Damon spoke, "Where is the island? Tell me. Now! Marcus is dead, and I know he told you to remain silent. There is no need for you to keep it secret now. Tell me and open the door for me."

"I already opened the door," Arke said. She laughed to herself and jumped in the chair across form Damon. Her legs were propped up on the desk a moment later. Arke hummed to herself. "I destroyed the seal that kept anyone from walking in when I added my blood to it. All you need to do is find where the door is and walk in."

"How do I find it?" Damon questioned. Arke hummed and didn't say a word. "Tell me!"

"Just use magic," Arke said. She tried to spin around in the chair while her legs were still propped up, and it knocked off half of the things on the desk. Damon's eye twitched, but he didn't comment on it. "You do know how to use magic, right?"

"Of course I do," Damon snapped. He jumped to his feet. "I am not just going to stand by and let that bitch get away with killing Kendall."

"What was that thing hanging out of her back? Was it important?" Arke wondered. Damon growled in anger. It seemed like he was ready to lose his temper, but at the same time, Nico could tell that wouldn't end well. Arke was nothing short of insane. "Did she die?"

"Yes," Damon growled. "She died. All thanks to that pirate bitch. That is why I want to find the island. I want to return the favor."

"Why would you want to return a favor to someone who hurt your friend?" Arke questioned. "That doesn't make sense."

"I just want to find the island," Damon snapped. He took an angry breath. "I am going to pay a visit to Reyna and make her pay for what she did to my quartermaster."

"Just use magic. You do know magic, right? Me above, these people are idiots," Arke muttered under her breath. She pushed herself off the desk, which moved the desk back a few inches. Damon jumped out of the way to avoid being hit. "Look, it's simple."

"The ones up there," Arke continued, and she pointed to the sky. "When they ripped off my wings and threw me into Tartarus, they put a seal on the island. No one could get in or out without the gods dropping them off there as part of some curse. With my wings and blood, I was able to break the seal. Now, anyone can use magic to find the island and to control it."

"What about the rod? I thought this stupid thing was needed to control the island," Damon said. He picked up the rod that he had stolen and studied it.

"If I didn't break the seal, you would. Can you try to keep up?" Arke questioned. Damon glared at the lunatic and stood.

"Then, you are going to show me to the island?" Damon questioned.

"Or, you can just use magic. I feel like you haven't listened to a word I said," Arke mocked. She shook her head and turned away. Arke started to roll away in the chair. "I'm going to take this."

"How?" Damon demanded, but Arke didn't answer. She just rolled herself out of the room. Damon slammed his fist into the desk and took a deep breath. "I am going to kill you, Reyna. Mark my words. I am going to find you, torture you, and kill you. Hear my words and understand. I will take my power back, and you will die."
