The other guardians were running down the corridor, heading towards the chapel, every one of them praying that they weren't too late. But when they came to the chapel, they saw Usagi and Harusuke, horror and grief etched in their faces, and Sailor Uranus and Neptune, lying on the floor seemingly lifeless, as their two talismans hovered above them. One talisman being a mirror with Neptune's symbol, and the other being a sword having a silver handle with a blue ball, and jewels embedded in the blade.
"Uranus, please hold on!" begged Harusuke. "Please don't die! You'll be okay!"
"Just tell us what we need to do!" Usagi desperately spoke. "How do we return the talismans to your bodies?!"
"Listen, Sailor Moon... Solaris... Don't... worry about us," gasped Sailor Uranus, miraculously still conscious. "The only things that should matter... are the talismans. Whatever else happens... you have to protect them... and concentrate on finding... the remaining one. Once you do that... and the Holy Grail emerges, bring it... to the Legendary Messiah..."
"Legendary Messiah?" repeated Sailor Venus.
"Who is that?" wondered Sailor Mars.
"A frightening world of silence is coming. She's the only one... who can save this world... from destruction," Sailor Uranus went on, her voice growing weaker. "When the Messiah holds Holy Grail... the world will be saved."
Then, Sailor Uranus's eyes closed. Believing her to be dead, Usagi let out a cry of anguish and despair echoing throughout the area. However, refusing to think the worst, Sailor Mars put an ear to her chest, trying to listen to her heartbeat.
"Don't worry, she still has a pulse," Sailor Mars spoke calmly. "It's faint, but I can still hear it, so she's still alive."
Harusuke put two fingers to Neptune's throat. "The same goes for Neptune," he said with a hint of relief. "Thank goodness."
"Then there's still time to save them," said Sailor Jupiter. "But the question is, how do we turn their talismans back to Pure Heart Crystals?"
But suddenly, a strong torrent of flame came shooting out straight towards them, narrowly missing the teens. As they defensively reacted, someone darted past, snatching both talismans into their hands. When Usagi's group looked up, they saw it turned out to be Eudial, who had put the sword on her belt, and stuffed the mirror into her top.
"Sorry, kiddies, but I've got the talismans now," Eudial cackled with triumph.
Usagi and Harusuke stood, each of them now possessing their transformation items.
"We'll see about that!" scowled Usagi.
"We won't let you have them!" Harusuke also scowled.
The two then transformed.
"MOON COSMIC POWER MAKE UP!"
"SOLAR PRISM POWER BLAZE FORTH!"
Transformation Sequence: Usagi
Usagi's Cosmic Heart Compact opens, revealing the pink heart-shaped crystal inside, waving her hand over it. It flashes twice and erupts in pink light. Usagi is now standing in the middle of a light blue heart that's spinning to the right. She stands one leg while holding up her arms and begins pirouetting in the opposite direction, going faster until, in a burst of light, pink ribbons envelop her torso and midsection, transforming into her leotard. She elegantly stretches out her arms, and pink ribbons cover them, forming into her gloves. She then raised her right foot high with incredible flexibility, and pink ribbons cloak it changing into her boots. The heart made of blue light then turns into a circle of sparkles swirling around her waist, forming her skirt and bow. Now no longer in light, Usagi spins around a couple of times like a ballerina, and takes a small bow. As she comes out from her bow, a crescent moon mark glows in the middle of her forehead. Then, a tiara appears bearing a gold symbol of the Moon, along with her earrings, choker, and her ordango covers. Usagi opens her eyes, her transformation now complete, and strikes her signature pose.
Transformation sequence: Harusuke.
Harusuke's bracelet begins to glow as Harusuke holds it into the air. The Sun's symbol starts to shine on Harusuke's head as golden yellow and silver light envelops his body. The Sun appears right above him, shining its light upon him. As Harusuke bathes in its glow, a silver jumpsuit with gold lines on his hips materializes around his body. It shines on his legs, and long golden metal boots that went up to his knees appear on his legs with silver hexagon knee-pads. The light shone on his arms, and then golden gauntlets appear on his hands going up to wrists. Then a yellow symbol of the Sun materializes in front of him, and it crashes into his chest, making a golden chest piece of armor appear with silver shoulder guards. Finally, a silver helmet covers his head, exposing his hair and making it stand up with a mouth guard covering his mouth and nose. Harusuke's eyes open his eyes and then strikes his signature pose the symbol of the Sun appears behind him.
Sailor Moon and Solaris charged right at Eudial, determined to get the talismans back.
"If you think that we're going to let you take those talismans, you're sadly mistaken!" said Sailor Moon.
"Those belong to Sailor Uranus and Neptune, so give them back or else!" ordered Solaris.
Eudial summoned forth her wand and, with a wave, generated a great amount of power into it.
"FIRE BUSTER!"
A massive torrent of fire shot out, heading straight for the two guardians. Reacting quickly, Solaris stepped in front of Sailor Moon, and unleashed his attack, too.
"SOLARIS ARROW OF SOL!"
His golden arrow of light and flames, collided with Eudial's Fire Buster, causing a stalemate, but the torrent of flames overpowered the Arrow of Sol in seconds, blasting Sailor Moon and Solaris and knocking them to the floor. The attack was so powerful that the floor began to burn, forming a ring around the Guardians, trapping them inside.
"How do you like that? Guess I'm stronger than you realized," laughed Eudial. "I'm just full of surprises today."
Sailor Mercury then used her move. "MERCURY SHINE AQUA ILLUSION!"
The blue guardian released a torrent of water to put out the flames, but while some of the fire was put out, more flames took its place.
"Oh, no! My Shine Aqua Illusion didn't work!" gasped Sailor Mercury.
"In that case, an eye for an eye; fight fire with fire!" said Sailor Mars, as she got ready to unleash her attack. "MARS BURNING-!"
"No, Mars! Don't!" Solaris yelled. "If you use your fire attacks, you'll literally add fuel to the fire!"
"But we have to do something!" cried Sailor Jupiter. "If we don't, then we'll be barbequed!"
"That's right, so you might as well, give it up," cackled Eudial. "Your techniques will never extinguish the flames of my Fire Buster! You'll all be burned to a crisp! Now it's time to finish you off!"
The redhead pointed her wand straight towards them and got ready to fire, but then from above, someone came crashing through the window, and threw a rose piercing right in the middle of Eudial's wand, making it snap in two. At the same time, a voice called out.
"LUNA-P, EXTINGUISH!"
A familiar ball having Luna's face on it, shot down from the rescuer, exploding into a cloud made of dry power, which put out the flames in seconds. As the Guardians rescuer landed on the ground, they were surprised to see that their rescuer was not one, but two—a man in tuxedo and cape and a small sailor Guardian.
"It's Tuxedo Mask!" Sailor Moon cried happily.
"And Sailor Chibi Moon!" said Sailor Venus.
"Looks like we got here just in time," smiled Sailor Chibi Moon.
"Thanks for the save!" said Solaris. "We owe you guys one!"
Eudial clicked her tongue. "Damn it! Now there's more of you?!" she snarled. "Time for me to make a hasty retreat!" And she darted away.
"She's getting away!" cried Sailor Venus. "After her!"
"Tuxedo Mask! You watch Uranus and Neptune!" said Sailor Mars. "We'll go after Eudial!"
The Guardians then took off, but before Solaris left, he gave one last look at Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune.
Sailor Moon noticed this and waited for her brother. "Solaris, what is it?" she asked.
Solaris didn't answer, as he clenched his fists with determination. "Don't worry, you two. I promise... we'll be back and return your talismans," he spoke. "We may have been at odds with each other, but you're both still Guardians, and I'll do what I have to do to save and protect you. Just hang on until then."
Sailor Moon then patted Solaris on his shoulder, and the two gave each other nod, and then dashed after the others.
Eudial was running as fast as she could, her high-heels clicking and clopping as she ran. She was feeling very pleased with herself.
"I may have lost my wand, but I've got the upper hand," Eudial thought to herself. "I've finally obtained two of the three talismans. All I need to do is make my escape and go find the third one!"
Then, Eudial heard the sounds of footsteps coming from behind her. Upon looking back, Eudial could see that they were coming from the other Guardians chasing her in hot pursuit.
"You girls just don't know when to quit, do you?!" she complained. "Fine! Then let's see how you handle this! STICKY OOZE!"
She slammed her palm onto the floor, and a green substance spread all over, enveloping the Guardian's feet before they could react. The goo then solidified, turning stretchy as well as sticky.
"What is this stuff?!" cried Sailor Mercury as she cried to pull herself free. "My feet are stuck!"
"Good luck trying to get free," Eudial cackled. "Even you girls will have a hard time getting out of this ooze!"
"Oh yeah?! We'll see about that!" barked Sailor Chibi Moon as she bravely tried to pull her feet free.
However, that only caused her to lose her balance, making her fall forward, her hands ending up touching the ooze. Sailor Chibi Moon then tried to crawl and power through, but the ooze was so sticky and elastic, that it pulled her to the floor, planting her face into the ooze. The other guardians were having trouble, too, each one getting tangled in the ooze, even more, the more they tried. Eudial then took off again, confident that no one would follow. Sailor Moon and Solaris arrived at that moment, and when they saw their friends, they couldn't help but be surprised.
"Do... I even want to know what I'm looking at here?" Solaris mumbled.
"Don't step in this stuff, Sailor Moon and Solaris!" warned Sailor Mercury. "Otherwise, you'll end up like us!"
"What do we do?! What do we do now?!" Sailor Moon panicked. "Eudial's getting away!"
"Isn't it obvious? We have to get over this gunk," said Solaris. "And there's only one way we can do that."
Sailor Moon looked at her brother, and the two gave each other a nod. Then they turned towards the girls and clapped their hands together in apology.
"Sorry about this, guys," apologized Sailor Moon.
"Yeah. Sorry for what we're about to do," Solaris also apologized.
Then Sailor Moon jumped and, using the Guardians' backs as platforms, hopped on top of Mars, then Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter before landing on the other side safe from harm. However, by doing this, the two also ended up planting their entire bodies to the goo, making it more difficult.
Sailor Chibi Moon was impressed. "Wow! She was just like the mythical Hare of Inaba!" she said with amazement.
"And we were the stepping-stone crocodiles," Sailor Mars complained.
Then, Solaris took his turn, hopping across the backs of each guardian, pressing their bodies into the goo even more than before, as he joined his sister.
"Are you guys okay?" Solaris asked. "I know I'm a bit heavy, but that didn't hurt too much, did it?"
"No, but if you two let Eudial get away, you're the ones that are going to be hurting!" Sailor Venus barked, clearly annoyed.
"Go on ahead without us, you two," said Sailor Mercury. "You two can still cut them off."
"We'll catch up with you later," added Sailor Jupiter. "No need to worry about us."
Sailor Moon and Solaris smiled at their friends, and the two took off running again, resuming their pursuit of Eudial.
Eudial was getting close to the exit, as she entered a large and spacious room, the exit just ahead and her victory close at hand. She planned to make her escape by using her station wagon parked just outside of the church. But as she headed towards it, she stopped and looked back, only to see Sailor Moon and Solaris burst through the doors.
"Not you two again," Eudial hissed crossly.
"Eudial, you trampled on people's hearts, and even had the nerve to take their precious lives!" said Sailor Moon. "You're unforgivable!"
"You may have gotten away from us in our previous battles!" said Solaris. "But this time, you won't get away! Not this time!"
"I am the Pretty Guardian who fights for love and justice!" she proclaimed as she wielded her Spiral Moon Heart Rod. "I am Sailor Moon! And in the name of the Moon, I'll punish you!"
"And I'm the Guardian with the radiance of the Sun, and the courage of a warrior, who also fights for love and justice!" he also proclaimed, clenching his fist while charging power. "I am Solaris! And in the name of the Sun with my blinding rays, I'll scorch you!"
The two squared off against, ready to fight to get the talismans back, but Eudial was completely relaxed and confident.
"You're both acting quite tough, aren't you?" she spoke coolly. "Well, I have no reason to worry. Need I remind you that I was able to stop Sailor Moon's special move once before. I'm clearly superior in strength. If you both don't want to die, just do yourselves a favor and run away now."
Eudial then laughed, and Sailor Moon's confidence fell for a split second, remembering. However, she remained defiant along with Solaris.
"We don't care if you're stronger than us!" Sailor Moon spoke bravely. "We'll take back those talismans if it's the last thing we do!"
"Besides, run away isn't exactly our thing," said Solaris as his face guard appeared. "In case you weren't aware, we're quite stubborn!"
Sailor Moon then aimed with her rod, and Solaris brought back his fist, the two Guardians unleashing their moves.
"MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"
"SOLARIS ARROW OF SOUL!"
The Guardian of the Moon unleashed a blast of hearts, while the Guardian of the Sun, unleashed a golden arrow. However, Eudial spun around and waving her hand, and a strange-looking flamethrower backpack appeared, having a large canister and a large nozzle and up on top of it. She aimed with her nozzle, and a mighty torrent of flames erupted from it, which was stronger than the others. The attacks collided with incredible force, but Eudial's attack cut straight through and shot towards Sailor Moon and Solaris as quickly as they hit, forcing the two to duck out of the way to dodge.
Eudial cackled triumphantly. "Well, can't say I didn't try to warn you two. Since we've last met, I've made some modifications to my Fire Buster, perfecting its power to destroy, and now I've made this! The Fire Buster 2. In other words, your puny attacks will never work against me."
Sailor Moon sank to her knees in shock, not believing what had happened. Then, Solaris squeezed her shoulder.
"We ain't licked yet. Don't give up," Solaris whispered to her. "We still have one more ace in the hole."
Solaris then bravely stepped up, ready to fight, holding his wrist out, while his prism began to change color, turning silver with a yellow crescent moon symbol shining in it.
Sailor Moon then realized, and was worried. "Solaris, don't! It's way too risky!" she cried. "If you use that, you'll run out of power and will be defenseless!"
But Solaris ignored her, keeping his attention on Eudial. "Hey, Eudial, since you seem so confident about that hunk of tin on your back, why don't we really put it to the test? One on one?"
Eudial's interest was piqued. "You wish to take me on alone, eh? Sounds like fun. I have unfinished business with you anyway."
She snapped her fingers, and the floor began to glow. A circle encircled them, leaving Sailor Moon outside. It quickly expanded, pushing Sailor Moon away, sending her flying until she hit the wall.
Solaris looked back. "Sailor Moon!" he cried.
The Guardians of the Moon got back up and tried to get back to her brother, but a barrier stopped her, and no matter how much she tried to push through, she couldn't
Solaris then looked back at Eudial, scowling. "What did you do?!" he demanded.
"I only set up a barrier. After all, we can have any of your friends interfering," said Eudial. "Solaris, you and the rest of the Guardians have gotten in my way too many times. Today, I'm going to pay all of you back, especially you, for injuring my superior, Mistress Kaolinite, and I'm going to enjoy it. I'll make Sailor Moon watch as I burn you to ashes."
Solaris looked back towards Sailor Moon, her face filled with worry, but reassured her with a smile. "Don't worry, Sailor Moon. I got this," he said. "Just leave this to your big bro."
But inside, Solaris was less confident than he hoped to be.
"The Unison Fusion may be the only chance I have to beat Eudial, but I'm taking a big risk," Solaris thought to himself. "Lately, I've always ended up growing weak after using it. I have to strike quick and hard the moment I bring it out. Otherwise, I'm as good as finished."
Solaris then raised his fist, and activated his power. "SOLARIS MOON POWER RANK UP!"
Transformation Solaris: Moon Mode.
The gem in Solaris' bracelet glows brightly in white light, the Moon's symbol shining inside of the prism. Solaris now is shrouded in bright white light as he began to spin around, pirouetting similar to Usagi. In a burst of white light, his boots emerge from the spiral, now white and silver, then his belt, right glove, left glove while clenching it into a fist, and then his chest, all of which were now colored white. In the center of Solaris' chest on his armor, the color had changed to white, and the dot in the middle now to the symbol of the Moon. Finally, the head of Solaris emerges, the helmet now white, and slightly different in design, leaving his face remaining exposed. Solaris opens his eyes then strikes his signature pose while the background shows his symbol overlapping a crescent moon in a white and gold background.
"So, that's the form you used to defeat Mistress Kaolinite," said Eudial, as she eyed Solaris from head to toe. "This makes things all the more interesting."
Solaris took his stance and shot forward, forcing Eudial to fire another torrent of flames from her Fire Buster. Solaris shot to the air and dodged, and counterattacked.
"PRINCE HALATION!"
The Guardian released a powerful blast of moonlight, but Eudial countered with another fiery blast of her Fire Buster, canceling out the attack. Not wanting to get hit by the flames, Solaris shot down, dodging in the nick of time, and landed on the ground. Eudial continued her assault, blasting Solaris with her flames, while Solais continued to dodge.
At that moment, the other Guardians arrived, and saw the battle in progress.
"Girls! You made it!" Sailor Moon gasped.
"What's going on, Sailor Moon?!" demanded Sailor Mars. "Why are you standing around while Solaris is fighting Eudial by himself?!"
"Don't blame me!" wailed Sailor Moon. "Eudial made a barrier, and I can't get through it!"
Sailor Mercury then reached out and touched the barrier, testing the waters. "She's right. There is a barrier, and it seems to be quite sturdy."
"Then let's break through it!" said Sailor Jupiter. "Solaris needs help!"
She took a couple of steps back and charged at the barrier in a tackle, only for the barrier to repel her. The other guardians tried their best to break it, but to no avail.
Back inside, Eudial happened to look back and saw the other Guardians as she continued to use her Fire Buster 2. "Well, it looks like all of your friends are here," she thought. "That's perfect. Now, we've got a live audience."
Solaris dodged another blast of fire, and then jumped towards Eudial and swung his leg with a kick. But Eudial jumped out of the way and aimed with her Fire Buster, and unleashed another torrent of flames. Solaris being unable to dodge, crossed his arms and braced himself as the flames blasted him. The force of the attack sent him skidding backward, while managing to stand his ground. His beautiful white armor and gray spandex were now singed.
Solaris then spun rapidly while holding up his fist, his prism glowing brightly.
"SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"
A powerful blast of golden hearts erupted forth, only for Eudial to unleashed yet another blast of fire from her Fire Buster. The two attacks collided, resulting in a stalemate, but as they struggled to push each other back, Eudial's attack began to push Solaris's back.
"I told you, it's no use!" crowed Eudial. "Your pitiful knock off attacks are too weak!"
Solaris grit his teeth as he desperately tried to push the flames back, but his Spiral Heart Attack slowly grew weaker the more it was pushed back.
"Solaris! Get out of there!" yelled Sailor Chibi Moon.
"You can't win against her that way!" Sailor Venus shouted.
But it was too late. The Fire Buster broke through the Spiral Heart Attack, and blasted Solaris with a mighty explosion making fire below everywhere, much to Sailor Moon and the other Guardians' horror.
Eudial cackled haughtily, reveling in her triumph. "And that's that. Finally, I've avenged you, Mistress Kaolinite! I win!"
Then amidst the smoke, Eudial heard a voice.
"Think again, Eudial! This fight ain't over yet!"
The smoke suddenly dissipated, revealing Solaris standing strong, his body radiating in white light, his eyes glowing silver. Eudial was shocked, and got ready to fire her Fire Buster again, but Solaris shot forward while briefly turning into a white rabbit, and disappeared in a blur. The next split second, a barrage of blows rained down on Eudial's body, catching her by surprise. As she reeled back in pain, Solaris reappeared above her and generated a giant ball of moonlight in his hands.
"SOLARIS MOON LEPORIS SHINE!"
Eudial looked up in time to see Solaris throw the orb of moonlight straight towards her. She took out her nozzle and tried to fire, only for the orb to crash straight into her, exploding in a mighty boom.
"All right! He got her!" the sailor guardians cheered.
As Solaris landed on the ground, he doubled over on his knees, gasping from exhaustion. However, he stayed on his feet, keeping his eyes on the cloud of some. "Did I get her?" he panted.
His answer soon came, for when the smoke cleared up, Solaris was shocked to see that Eudial was still standing. Her clothes were slightly tattered, her skin was a bit singed, and even her Fire Buster 2, had suffered, having cracks all over it. And, aside from being wracked with pain, Eudial's face was filled with malice along with anger.
"No way!" gasped Sailor Moon. "She survived it?!"
"You haven't beaten me yet," Eudial hissed. "I'm still standing!"
Solaris was shocked, but then he suddenly grew weak, falling to his knee, and his armor returning to its colors.
"Oh, no! Solaris turned back to normal!" cried Sailor Chibi Moon. "What happened?!"
"The Unison Fusion Power has drained all of his strength!" cried Sailor Mercury. "He's completely defenseless!"
Eudial seizing her opportunity, raised her hand and unleashed a torrent of flames. Solaris saw it coming and tried to jump to his right to dodge, but his body felt heavy, and he couldn't react in time, and the flames scorched his left arm. As Solaris cried out in pain, Eudial blasted him with fire again, hitting him right in the middle blowing him back until he hit the barrier. Sailor Moon and the others gasped in horror.
"Solaris!" Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon cried.
"That's it! I'm busting my way in!" Sailor Mars cried out, as she used her technique. "MARS BURNING MANDALA!"
She fired an array of fire rings, but they bounced off the barrier, not affecting at all. The others tried using their techniques as well, but the barrier still didn't budge. Eudial continued to torture Solaris with her flames, cackling madly as Solaris took the attacks, screaming in agony. Solaris's gold and gray armor had now started to turn black, his body burning all over from the flames as they tossed him around. Solaris was soon down and out, lying on the floor in agony, but he wouldn't give in as he struggled to get back up.
"If I were you, I'd stay down and save yourself the trouble," said Eudial. "You may have been able to land a hit on me, as well as damage my Fire Buster 2, but you've only made me angrier. I don't like it when someone damages my beautiful face!"
She blasted Solaris with another burst of flame, and Solaris screamed as the flames scorched his body. Sailor Chibi Moon couldn't stand it. Neither could the other Guardians.
"Stop it! Please!" cried Sailor Chibi Moon as she desperately pounded her fists against the barrier. "Stop it, right now!"
But Eudial didn't stop, and continued to blast Solaris with fire, again and again, all while cackling in sadistic pleasure, while Solaris took the blistering flames. But as Solaris hit the ground, he kept getting back up bravely facing Eudial without retreating.
"Solaris, please! Stay down!" Sailor Venus begged. "If you keep this up, you'll die!"
"I feel so helpless!" Sailor Moon cried, her eyes filling with tears. "Solaris used up all of his power because of the Unison Fusion! If he had some left, he'd be able to win!"
Eudial then looked across to the girls. "Now, now, girls. You'll be next on my list once I'm done with him," she sadistically smirked. "So why don't you be good girls and-"
Then Eudial saw Solaris, who was standing back up, struggling through the pain as he did.
"Damn it all. Why do you keep getting up?!" she demanded with a scowl. "Your power is gone, I've got the talismans, and you and your little friends don't have any hope of winning!"
"You want me... to give up? That's not going to happen," Solaris rasped. "I'll keep fighting... If I give up now... then people are going to die because of you and your group. Plus, I'm not gonna let you... hurt my friends and family. I made a promise... to protect them," His eyes gleamed with determination, as he glared straight at her. "If you want to get to them, you'll have to kill me first!"
"Well, aren't you brave, trying to be the big hero," said Eudial. "But it's nothing short of a bluff. I bet you're using whatever strength you have to get up, let alone move."
"Yeah, and so what? I've still got enough strength to fight you!" Solaris yelled defiantly. "Come on! What are you waiting for?! Hit me with your best shot! I dare you! Or are you just a coward that can't finish a fight?! I'm standing right here!"
Eudial was now angry. "You little brat! Fine! Since you want to die so badly, then I'll end this right now! It's time someone put you in your place!"
Eudial unleashed her strongest blast of flames, and Solaris held out his hands and took the attack in stride. The flames were sweltering, his spandex and armor began to burn, and the flames were pushing him back, but the Guardian of the Sun stood his ground, refusing to go down.
"Solaris! What do you think you're doing?! Stop this!" cried Sailor Moon, her eyes filling with tears.
"You're all out of power! There's nothing you can do!" Sailor Mars also cried. "All you're doing is hurting yourself!"
"Like hell, I'm out of power! I still got some left in me!" Solaris barked. "If I run out of power for this battle, then I'll borrow some for the next! No matter what happens, I'll keep fighting to not only protect the Earth, but also to protect you guys! I promised that I was going to protect you guys, and I'm going to keep it! You've always been there for me, and I'm going to the same for all of you!"
Solaris managed to stop skidding back, his eyes burning with fiery willpower.
"NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS I WON'T GIVE UP, AND I'LL PROTECT EVERYONE!"
Suddenly, a bright sphere of light exploded with its radiance in Solaris' hands, shining throughout the room. The light canceled out Eudial's flames and was so bright, that Eudial had to shield her eyes. Simultaneously, the center of the Guardians' brooches on their bows began to glow brightly, each in their respective colors, excluding Sailor Chibi Moon.
"Wh-What's happening?!" exclaimed Sailor Chibi Moon.
"All of our brooches are shining!" gasped Sailor Venus.
A beam of light shot out from all of their brooches and shot straight into the sphere of light in front of Solaris' hands. The sphere then changed shape, growing thinner and longer until it shed its light, revealing its true form. It was a longsword, its blade black as night, had a golden cross hilt that looked like a bar with two circles, and had a gold jewel in the middle of the bar.
His bracelet also changed, the Sunstone Prism becoming an octagon shape, and gained silver trims on the ends.
The sword hovered over to Solaris, prompting him to reach out, and grab it. As soon as he touched it, all of his burns and wounds he had suffered began to fade away, healing themselves in seconds. Solaris and the girls were amazed.
"What is that sword?" wondered Sailor Moon. "I've never seen anything like it."
"That is the Astral Light Nimbus Blade," said a voice from behind them.
The Guardians looked back and saw Specter, who had once again mysteriously appeared from seemingly out of nowhere.
"It was Solaris's willpower as well as his courage to protect you girls," went on Specter. "Those feelings were so strong; it's what caused this miracle to come about."
Eudial was also shocked by the sword's sudden appearance and power, but then she had a thought, which made her smile. "Could that sword be the third talisman? If it is, it saves me the trouble of having to find it. It'll soon be mine!"
"Solaris! Take the sword!" ordered Specter. "Use its power along with yours to put an end to this battle! Say Solar Crystal Power, shine on!"
Solaris looked over at Specter and gave him a nod, then reached out to grab the sword.
"No, you don't!" barked Eudial. "That sword is mine!"
She raised her hand and released a torrent of flames, but she was already too late as Solaris grabbed the hilt of the sword, while shouting his command phrase.
"SOLAR CRYSTAL POWER SHINE ON!"
Transformation Sequence: Solaris (Post Crystal)
Harusuke's hand waves over the Sunstone Crystal, and it began to pulse with light until it shines brightly. Harusuke, now shrouded in light, holds his hand with the Sunstone Crystal up high, and throws his fist to the floor, and his symbol appears beneath him. Light encases his legs from his feet to his hips, and in a burst of light, his boots along with his belt, and some additional armor on his thighs materialize. Then his right encompasses his right arm from hand to shoulder, and his gloves, along with some armor, materialize, and the same happens to his left hand. Harusuke then punches his fists together, creating a spark of light, and crosses his arms as his chest is wrapped in light. Harusuke then throws his arms out, and his chest plate appears, the symbol in the middle glowing brightly. Finally, his helmet appears on his head, this time covering up his entire head, leaving his face exposed. Harusuke opens his eyes smiling with confidence, his transformation now complete, and assumes his signature pose, with the sun appearing in the background while his symbol overlapped it.
As Eudial's torrent of flames shot towards him, the newly transformed Solaris gripped his new sword and, with a mighty swing, sliced straight through the attack dispersing it in seconds.
"Eudial, I'm giving you one last chance to hand over those talismans," said Solaris. "If you refuse, I won't show you any mercy."
"You got to be kidding! As if I would give these up!" Eudial snapped as she gathered up more flames into her hands. "I'll never hand them over to you!" She then unleashed her signature move one more time. "FIRE BUSTER!"
As she unleashed her most powerful attack, Solaris then clenched his sword and held it up high. Its gem began to shine, while the blade changed slowly from black to white. He drew a circle with his sword, took a two-handed stance, and shot forward, cutting straight through Eudial's flames.
"SOLARIS CELESTIAL BLADE SLASH!"
And with one powerful and swift slash of his mighty blade, he cut straight through Eudial. In a dying scream of agony, as her body convulsed and sparked with light, Eudial's body was disintegrated, leaving the talismans behind, and a Daimon Egg made of darkness, that dissipated with a hiss, fading into the air. The barrier also faded away, allowing Sailor Moon and the other Guardians through, but they were too amazed by what they just saw even to notice. Specter, on the other hand, was smiling proudly.
Solaris then dispersed his blade and then grabbed both the talismans. "Come on, you guys! We have to get these back to Uranus and Neptune! Let's hurry!"
Snapping out of their disbelief, the gang then left the room, hurrying back as fast as they could. Little did they know as they left, the other members of the Witches 5 had now appeared, having to have seen everything.
"Well, there goes Eudial," said Mimete. "What a pity."
"She shouldn't have been so stubborn and cocky, trying to take on the Guardians all alone," chided Viluy. "And look where that got her. Now, we don't have a fire warrior."
"It's for the best that she's gone," said Tellu. "She didn't deserve to call herself a member of the Witches 5."
"One thing's for sure," said Cyprine. "Those Guardians are strong, especially Solaris."
A little while later, the gang brought the talismans back to where Tuxedo Mask and the unconscious Sailor Uranus and Neptune were with the talismans in tow. When Tuxedo Mask saw them, he was relieved to see them.
"You all made it back," Tuxedo Mask spoke with relief. "And you got the talismans back."
"Yeah, but we still don't know how we're going to put them back inside of Uranus and Neptune," said Sailor Jupiter.
"Leave that to me," said Specter. "I can help you out with that one."
Everyone looked back at Specter, taken by surprise.
"Really?! You can?!" Sailor Chibi Moon gasped hopefully.
"Of course," said Specter as he walked over to Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune's bodies. "All I need to do is separate their pure heart crystals from inside of the talismans."
"Specter, are you sure that you'll be able to take out their pure heart crystals?" asked Solaris.
"That I can," said Specter. "It should be a simple matter."
Tuxedo Mask was surprised to see Specter, this being the first time he laid eyes on them. "Hold on a minute. Who are you?" he asked.
Specter tipped their hat politely. "The name's Specter," they replied. "And I'll save you from the introductions, Tuxedo Mask. Or should I address you as King Endymion?"
Tuxedo Mask was taken aback. "H-How do you know that?!" he demanded.
"Sorry, but your questions will have to wait for now," said Specter. "Right now, lives are on the line, and it's time for these slumbering princesses to wake up. Please, bring the talismans over to me."
Tuxedo Mask was suspicious, but Sailor Moon held his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze, letting him know that Specter wasn't their enemy. Then, Solaris and herself brought the talismans over to Specter.
"Please, Specter. Please save Sailor Uranus and Neptune for us," said Sailor Moon. "We're counting on you."
Specter chuckled. "Don't worry, my queen. This will only take a few seconds."
They then held their hands over the talisman and went silent. The talismans both began to glow as they hovered over their respective hosts, and from each of them, a pure heart crystal materialized into view, and they slowly made their way back to their proper homes.
"Look!" Sailor Jupiter murmured. "Their pure heart crystals are..."
"...being returned to them," finished Sailor Mars.
"Thank goodness," Sailor Moon spoke thankfully.
The pure heart crystals each disappeared into the chests of the two Guardians. When they did, the color returned to their skin, and it wasn't long before they woke up.
As Sailor Uranus regained her senses, she saw the talismans before herself and Neptune, and couldn't help but be surprised. "The talismans! They're still here!" she spoke.
"Yes, and yet here we are still alive," murmured Sailor Neptune as a smile spread on her cheeks. "So no one had to be sacrificed after all."
The talismans then hovered over to them, and Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune each took their respective talismans, which in turn made them stop glowing. Sailor Moon and her group were happy to see the two alive and well. Then, Sailor Chibi Moon noticed Specter, who was walking away from them.
"Specter, thank you so much for saving Uranus and Neptune!" the little guardian called out. "We couldn't have done it without you!"
Specter looked back. "Anytime. Happy to help," he said. "However, as much as I would hate to bring down the mood, your battle isn't over just yet, Guardians." He paused impressively as he faced them. "Eudial may be gone, but there are still be enemies out there, waiting for their chance to strike again, especially since two of the three talismans have been found." He looked across to Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. "Do you two still intend to find the third talisman?"
"Like you even need to ask," said Sailor Uranus. "Of course we do."
"That's right," agreed Sailor Neptune. "It is our mission. We may have found two of them, but the third is out there somewhere."
"Well, if that's your decision, then I won't try and stop you," said Specter. "However, let me take this opportunity to give you a piece of advice." They glanced over towards Sailor Moon and her group. "This goes for all of you as well." They turned around. "I understand that you're all constantly at odds with one another, which was the main cause with how these events came about. You all need to stop this senseless bickering and work together to take down your enemy as well as find the talismans. Some of you are willing to work with one another, while others are less than willing. Either way, if you don't come together, the Silence will swallow you whole, and lives will be lost, including your own. Only by all the Guardians coming together can the Silence be stopped, and the world saved."
"And what makes you so sure about that?" asked Sailor Mars. "Do you know something that we don't?"
"There's plenty of things that I know, Sailor Mars, but I'm afraid I can't reveal too much," said Specter. "Otherwise, they will be trouble not just for you, but even for someone like me. Until then, you all have to be ready not only to work together, but also to grow stronger as well." They then looked at Sailor Moon and Solaris. "Sailor Moon, Solaris, make sure you two and the rest of the Guardians grow stronger, for the day of Silence is coming, and when that day comes, you both will be faced in a difficult battle, but not of one out of might and power, rather from something that can't be replaced."
Specter then turned on his heel and disappeared into the darkness of the cathedral.
