Have a Dorothea chapter. This one is a lot more light-hearted than the other after-married chapters.
Enjoy!
The sounds of birds chirping stirred the former Professor from his slumber, opening his eyes to be met with the plain white ceiling of his large room. He took a deep breath, inhaling the cool morning air that blew its way in from the slightly opened window. He felt a weight upon his chest, looking down to be met with a pair of brown eyes staring at him, accompanied by a large grin.
"Good morning, my love."
Byleth smirked slightly. "Good morning, Dorothea."
The brunette frowned, resting her cheeks on her hands as she lay on Byleth's chest. "You know I'd much appreciate it if you gave me a proper nickname. I've called you by so many after all." She said. Byleth shrugged, wrapping his arms around her back.
"Sorry, nicknames just aren't my strong suit."
"Obviously not, but I'll let you off the hook this time." Dorothea's sweet smile returned to her face, and she laid her head on Byleth's chest, nuzzling closer to him. Byleth laid his head back down on his pillow as he stroked Dorothea's brown hair.
"I don't even know why we bother with this large bed if you simply insist on sleeping on me all the time."
"What can I say? You make for an excellent pillow"
"Is that all you see me as?"
"Perhaps~"
Byleth let out a light chuckle before letting the silence fall over them again, save for the song of the two birds that chirped right outside their window. But as much as Byleth enjoyed spending the morning cuddling with his wife however, he was the Archbishop; and as such had many things he needed to get done. He patted his wife's back as he attempted to sit up, Dorothea groaning lightly in protest as she lifted her head up to meet his ever stern gaze.
"And just where do you think you're going?" She raised an eyebrow, pushing her body against him to try and force him to lay back down. Byleth didn't budge, his large frame being too much for his wife's pitiful resistance.
"I have things I need to get done today. Sorry Dorothea, there will be plenty of time for cuddling later on tonight." Byleth tried again to sit up, but despite his large stature he was still no match for his wife's stubbornness. Dorothea placing both her hands on his bare chest and forcing him to lay back down, the brunette sitting up and straddling him.
"You've been busy all week, dear. I do believe I deserve some of your attention." She crossed her arms, a light pout on her face. Byleth nodded.
"And I'll give you some later tonight, I'll even take tomorrow off for you. Now can you please let me get up?"
Dorothea pondered his offer for a bit before grinning. "Very well, but on one condition."
"What would that be?"
"Give me 10 kisses."
Byleth blushed, if ever so lightly, at his wife's request. "Isn't that a little much?"
"There is no such thing as too much love~. Now hurry before I change my mind and make it 20 kisses." Dorothea's grinned still remained on her face as she leaned back down on her husband's chest, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling herself closer to his face; their lips mere inches apart.
Byleth sighed, seeing no way out of this and not wishing to force himself out of bed he decided to go along with it. Wrapping his arms around Dorothea and bringing their faces closer, the brunette now blushing lightly.
He gently brushed his lips against hers before kissing her lightly. Once, then twice, then a third time, a fourth and then...
"A-Alright I-I do believe that's enough..." Dorothea placed a hand over his lips to stop him, leaning up and away from Byleth; glancing away as she blushed a deep shade of red.
Byleth tilted his head. "What do you mean? I've only given you four kisses. I have six more to-"
"Y-You don't need to say it...I-I'll let you off with four..." She moved off him and the bed, standing up in their large room and stretching. Byleth sat up and shifted to the edge of the mattress, standing up and moving to the dresser to get ready for the day.
"Honestly, you're bluntness can be a bit too much sometimes"
"But you love it, don't you?"
"Mmm~ Maybe I do." Dorothea hummed, watching Byleth strip off his shirt; letting her eyes wander freely over his toned body.
She loved this man too much.
Byleth entered his room sighing as he closed the door, he wasn't expecting for all those meetings to go on for so long. He moved over to his desk, setting down the many documents he had received he'd need to go over them before he went to bed. Before he could a chance to do that however, two arms snaked around his waist and hugged him tight. He sighed again.
"Sorry Dorothea, not now I need to read these papers."
"Now, I strongly recall you saying that we'd be cuddling tonight; do you intend to go back on your word?"
Byleth shook his head. "Of course not, and I'll be with you in a moment. I just need to-"
"Byleth..."
The man gulped, Dorothea didn't call him by his name often, preferring to use cute nicknames instead. But when she did use his name, it usually meant she was serious. He sighed.
"Very well, let me get undressed then."
"No. Bed. Now."
"Dorothea at least-"
She didn't let him finish as she grabbed his arm and pulled him over to the bed, pushing him down onto the large mattress and climbing over him; grinning widely.
"You know... You really should loosen up once in a while..." the kiss she gave was deep, passionate. It caught him off guard, how quickly she pounced him. But, he adapted quickly, snaked his arms around her body, pulling her in close as he returned the kiss with vigor. But no sooner did it start that it ended, Dorothea separating from her husbands lift and pushing herself off of his form chest. Dorothea straddled him, Byleth saw a hunger in her eyes, her smile as devilish as the slow pace she now commanded.
Leaning ever closer, taking her time, her lips met his once more. but unlike the deep kiss she had done before, this one was chaste, gentle, loving. But the way she smiled down at him, that glint in her eyes, he knew her true intentions.
And his assumption was proven right as she continued. From his lips to his jaw, she trailed soft, airy kisses leading down his neck. He shivered at her touch, as long fingers drew shapes upon his chest and her warm breath tickled his skin as she nuzzled into the crook of his neck.
"You see, isn't this more enjoyable than mulling over some useless papers?" Dorothea said, Byleth gulped before letting out a light chuckle.
"Those 'useless papers' help decide the future of Fodlan. But yes, you're right. I do find this to be more relaxing, especially if it's with someone as beautiful as you."
Byleth couldn't see it, but Dorothea was now blushing deeply.
"Oh hush...You and your honeyed words..."
That cuddling part towards the end was written entirely by T.S. Atlas. I had nothing to do with it.
Hope you enjoy this more light-hearted chapter.
Until next time.
