Bonnie slowly released her breath before knocking on Zoe's bedroom door.

"Its open."

"Hey." Bonnie said she walked over to Zoe's bed and hugged her tightly against her.

"Mom." Zoe said in a soft little voice.

"How do you feel today?"

"I feel okay but dad wants me to see doctor Steyn again."

"He told me and I cancelled your appointment."

"But dad said I had to go and it will do me good." Zoe said with a confused look on her pretty face.

"Maybe it will but for today I want to take you somewhere. Somewhere where my grams used to take me when I was a young girl. I should have done this along time ago with you and Kenzie but how quickly I forgot what I learned when I only had my grams. She was a remarkable woman Zoe and so wise. She would have loved and adored you if she was here." Bonnie said with soft eyes. She wiped the tears from her face and smiled.

Zoe put her arms around her mom. Nestling in her warm comfort like a little baby. "Thank you for sharing this with me. Dad said I'm strong just like you but I'm not Mom."

"Zoe Salvatore you risked your own life to save the lives of your two little brothers. Your dad told me how you begged him to take Amy and leave before the bomb go off. Baby your strength grows in the moments when you think you can't go on but you keep going. I want you to remember this from here on out. Courage is not having the strength to go on. It is going on when you don't have the strength."

Bonnie tenderly wiped the tears from her daughter's face. "Chin up Zoe and be strong because things will get better. It might be stormy now, but it can't rain forever." Mother and daughter hugged each other tightly finding renew comfort and strength in each other.

It was a busy morning for Damon at the office as mayor. People were calling in from all over with inquiries over the bombing in Blueberry Lane the house where Amy used to live. Different stories were spreading like wildfire in the town. Some say it was a terrorist attack, others say this is a possible gang war outbreak and than there are the over imaginative ones who says it is the work of a killer clown with a fetish for planting bombs in the homes of his victims. A small group believed it was Amy's jealous ex who bombed her house. Then there were the endless council meetings and handling international and national calls from concerned investors and politicians after hearing about the bombing in Mystique Lake after all, Mystique Lake was considered a model town high on the list of must visit tourist towns, and incidents like this will not look good on the town's squeaky-clean image and then there were the media waiting like bloodhounds for the mayor to comment on what really happened.

Damon leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. He was on the phone with Winston a billionaire oil tycoon who also owned two of the most luxurious resorts in Mystique Lake.

"Winston I can assure you everything is in order in Mystique Lake. This is the work of a bored teen experimenting with bombs in the basement of his parent's home and no, no one was hurt or died. Yes, he is in custody and the police are handling this. Okay, Winston, you too have a nice day and say hi to that lovely wife of yours for me." Damon almost slammed the phone down in frustration. "Mathilda?" he screamed at his new secretary that's currently filling Kate's position.

The door opened in seconds. "You screamed for me sir." The old woman said with a straight face.

"No more calls. Sherriff Mitchell should be handling this I already told him what to say and tell the people from the newspaper I don't know shit."

"Very well sir, I just hope they don't publish that in tomorrow's newspaper."

"You see that's why I don't drink your coffee." Damon said coolly.

"Sir with all due respect but I wouldn't waste my spit. I'm old. I need it." The old woman said and closed the door softly behind her.

Damon leaned back in his chair and laughed out loud. The old woman is witty and sharp and to think she was Stephen's grade sixth teacher.

Sharon's Hair Salon

When Stella walked in all the chatter and laughter stopped. Stella knew why they were all staring curiously at her. Lida loud mouth must have told them what happened in her liquor store.

Sharon was standing behind her chair hand on the hip looking Stella up and down. "Look Stella, you know you my girl and everything but I have to frisk. I'm not going to let you pull that Lida shit on me. I'm also lock and loaded and you know that. My money is not on me it's all in the bank." Sharon said with her eyes on Stella's big handbag.

"Well halo to you all. I see Lida loud mouth already got you all worked up over nothing." Stella said and looked around the room. "I'm just here for new extensions and please Sharon I don't need your money. Lord knows you need it more than I do." Stella said nonchalantly.

"Said the woman who tried to rob Lida of all her booze." Sharon mumbled. She pointed at the chair for Stella to sit on.

"All her booze? Wait till I get her." Stella said with a cool smile.

"I think you traumatized that woman enough you're lucky she's not talking about suing your ass." Sharon said.

Stella laughed softly and said. "She won't I got too much dirt on her and you Sharon for that matter so let bygones be bygones and so on and so on. It's a new day new beginnings and time for a new look so go on do your magic darling."

Sharon laughed as she slides her fingers through Stella's long blond locks. "Very well I have a look in mind that will make your man weak in the legs and extra hard in bed." Sharon said with a wink.

"Sharon you know I'm a freak. Do me so that I can do him tonight." Stella said with a naughty smile.

"Oooh you hear that ladies? Stella is getting her freak on tonight." Sharon said with a naughty smirk.

"Speaking of being a freak. Did you guys hear what happened to Lida and her one nightstand last Saturday night? I was there I saw and heard everything" one of the woman said in a juicy gossipy voice.

Stella almost jumped out of her chair. "I think I'm going to enjoy this story. Sharon take the bottle out of my handbag and don't mess around in my wallet. I know how fast you are with your fingers and someone please get us some clean glasses. I got to catch up on all the gossip in here." Stella said excited.

Stephen and Caroline Salvatore Home

"Stephen hi, can I have a talk with you." Caroline said after she knocked on the door of Stephen's study.

"Yeah, sure come in. I was just about to take a break. How do you feel? Did the pills work?" he asked with a look of concern on his face.

"Yes, thank. I'm feeling my old self again." Caroline said with a sad smile.

"I was thinking that maybe we should get you some professional help. I have called…

"Stephen please stop. I don't need professional help. Do you want a divorce and please be honest with me? because I'm feeling like I'm being dragged along in a stream with you that I can't get out of and all I want to do is be close to you but you keep swimming faster and further away from me. Stephen you're not a boy anymore and I'm not a frog or lizard that you can dissect and analyse."

Stephen looked intensely at Caroline as the seconds ticked by. "I should give doctor Steyn a call. You need more rest Caroline."

"You don't love me. You not even man enough to admit it Stephen Salvatore. But you know what? I'm tired of begging for your attention or going out of my way to get it. I'm tired of playing second fiddle to your work. You want a divorce fine let's get it. I'm better of than being with a man who can't appreciate me and show at least a little bit of affection."

Stephen walked quickly over to Caroline. He tried to put his arms around her to comfort her but Caroline wiggled herself out of his embrace.

"No, don't touch me. You don't get to touch me anymore. You should find yourself a place to stay."

"Caroline please wait. You know I love you but I can't give up now when I'm so close in fulfilling my dream. This is not just my dream but our dream."

"Our dream Stephen? How can it be our dream when you shut me out? Me and the kids. The hours you work are getting longer. You practically live in your study. When last were we intimate and just having some time to ourselves like we used to. I miss that Stephen. You and me together as one. I can't do this alone. No more Stephen, find yourself a place where you don't have a nagging wife around you and kids waiting for their father to help them with their homework."

The Henderson Home

"Honey we're home." Dr Hendy called out. "Stewart, son please take your grandmother's bags to her room. Mom let me help you to our living room where you can rest your tired feet. You will love what Kate did to the room." Dr Hendy said lovingly to his mother.

"I'm sure I won't but my feet are killing me my son and this is the nearest room. On days like this the arthritis are at it worst."

"Don't worry mother, a good massage before bedtime will make you feel rejuvenated again. Will you take some tea mother? You must be thirsty from the long drive." Doctor Hendy said as he gently spread her knitting blanket over her legs.

"You are spoiling me too much Hendrick just like your father but that's in the blood of the Henderson men. They're good and strong men." Grandma Henderson said and pinched Hendy's cheek playfully.

"That's because we were raised by strong women and speaking of strong women mother, Kate has been through a very difficult time."

Doctor Henderson's mother rolled her eyes and said. "There is always drama with Kate."

"Mother this is serious." Dr Hendy whispered.

"And so is global warming Hendrick."

"It is so nice to see you again mother." Kate said suddenly behind them. Dr Hendy jumped to his feet and smiled nervously.

Kate walked over to the old woman with a calm smile and kissed her on her cheek. "You look good mother."

"Thank you, Kate. I see you expecting again. Do you think this was a wise decision? I mean your not that young."

"Oh, would you look at the time." Hendy said before Kate can snap at his mother. "Its almost way pass your tea time mother. Honey, Kate can you please help me in the kitchen."

"Hendrick please don't let Kate make the tea. No offence Kate but you can't make it like my Hendrick." Grandma Henderson said with a sweet smile.

"Mother believe me the last thing you want is for me to touch your tea. Now you just sit there warm under your beautiful knitting blanket and admire my beautiful living room. You will love my new curtains it really brings character to the room unlike the old ones. Boy did I enjoy burning them." Kate said with a triumphant smile.

Grandma Henderson gasped out loud. Dr Hendy quickly put his arm around Kate and steered her out of the living room.

"How long is her stay?" Kate asked Hendy in the kitchen.

"Kate, honey, now I know you have been through a really tough ordeal that will probably leave some scars but just know I'm here for you and our precious little bundle."

"Hendrick Henderson can you please answer my question." Kate said with a sweet smile that spelled nothing good for Dr Hendy.

Dr Henderson gulped nervously. "Mother didn't say maybe for a week or longer."

"A week or longer you say? That's how long you will be sharing a bed with your mother. Let her pamper and nurse you every day and night. She would probably breastfeed you too, now if you will excuse me, I'm going to my room and finish reading my book." Kate said and walked out leaving a shock looking Hendy behind. She did feel bad but she had to put her foot down before Hendy's mother can trample all over her again.

The Mayor's Office

Damon didn't look up from the paper work on his desk when Mathilda entered his office. "What is it now. I'm busy."

"The teacher from the twin's kindergarten class called. She asked if you or your wife can come in to see her sir."

Damon put his pen down and sigh out loud. "Did she say what it's about?"

"I don't make other people's business mine. I'm simply just the messenger sir."

"Yeah, like I don't know how you been listening in on my calls. I know." Damon said as he got up.

"I am not going to deny that sir. Its entertaining and keeps me awake."

"Call that bitch back and tell her I'm on my way."

"Do you want me to convey that same message to her or do you want me to leave out the bitch part."

"Do what you do best. You are just simply the messenger, right?" Damon said.

"Very well sir. I will call the bitch and give her your message."

"You need a raise Mathilda." Damon said with a smirk.

"And a hip replacement sir." Mathilda said as she held the door open for Damon.
