"You're alone and scared. I know that pain."

Olivia covered her face with her hands and wiped tears from the corners of her eyes. Maya was still staring at the wall. She refused to say anything about the pregnancy. The nurse spoke with Olivia and let her know what Maya said when she came to the hospital. She didn't know she was pregnant. She thought the movement in her stomach was indigestion. After the doctor told her that she was in labor, she didn't say anything else. Olivia saw the babies in the nursery through the glass. It wasn't Olivia's pregnancy, and she was overly emotional. She knew Maya was embarrassed.

"I don't know how..." Maya's voice cracked and tears fell. Her lip trembled. "I take a birth control pill every day, and I'm supposed to be menopausal. I can't take two babies home. Livvie, I'm almost 50. I should have grandbabies not my own babies."

"You can't give them up for adoption."

"Livvie, I can't take care of babies. I'm not 24 with a lot of energy."

Olivia sniffled and wiped her eyes. She wanted her mom to keep the babies. She didn't want her to go through what she was going through right now with Amelia. There was no guarantee the babies would go to a good home."

"Livvie, I don't want to start over."

"You don't have to make a decision right now. The babies are going to be in the hospital for at least three months."

"I met the guy on a cruise ship. I don't even know his last name."

"Savannah and Serenity."

"What?"

"You can name them Savannah and Serenity."

"Okay." Maya said. Her voice was still cracking when she spoke.

"I'll stay here with you. You're not alone."

"I'm am idiot."

"No, you're not."
