Hi, thank you for all the reviews on this story! There's not much left to go on this story and I hope people enjoy the ending when it comes, some of the later chapters have been hard but I like where it's gone. Here's the next chapter :)

Once Heath had taken Kyle for a walk along the beach, he brought him back to the house. Casey had left them to it as he had a shift at the gym and Bianca had taken Harley and Darcy to Cheryl's for the night. When she got back to the Braxton house, she heard Lillie crying. She thought she'd leave them to it to not distract them but time was getting on and Lillie's cries weren't stopping.

"Is everything okay?" She asks as she walks into Kyle's room.

"I thought it would have helped if Kyle got some fresh air before trying to bond with Lillie again." Heath says.

"Skin to skin contact is meant to help get a bond with a baby but it doesn't seem to work. We've tried talking to trigger a memory or something and even playing with her." Heath says. "I'm trying to get Kyle to do everything so she doesn't have different people interacting with her, which could help her bond with Kyle."

"You think it will work any time soon?" Bianca asks.

"As long as we don't let him give up." Heath says.

"You know I'm standing right here and can hear everything you are saying, despite going deaf in one ear." Kyle says, feeling a headache coming on. "Can you please get me some painkillers?"

"Sure, I can do that." Bianca nods, walking back out.

"She's settling." Heath comments, smiling as Lillie stops crying, falling asleep in Kyle's arms.

"Yeah, only cause she's worn herself out again." Kyle mutters.

"What happened to staying positive?" Heath sighs, getting a shrug in reply.

"Where's Brax?" Kyle suddenly asks, catching Heath off guard.

"Nowhere." Heath quickly says.

"You're lying." Kyle says, stopping as Bianca walks back in.

"Who's lying?" She asks.

"Heath." Kyle says, his brother shooting his gaze to him. "He told me Lillie only stopped crying because I've got Bruno. Apparently Darcy has been bugging you about getting one."

"Yeah, twice a day, everyday. Without fail she asks at breakfast and then again before she goes bed. I don't know how many more times we have to say no but then again, look at Casey." Bianca chuckles as she places a glass of water and a packet of tablets on the side for him, luckily not noticing Heath giving Kyle a thankful nod. "I told Irene I would meet up with her today, are you going to be okay here?"

"Yeah, you go. I think I'm going to get my hearing back now." Kyle lightly smiles, not wanting to move in case he woke Lillie up.

"Okay. See you later." She smiles, giving Heath a small smile before leaving.

"Why didn't you tell her?" Heath asks once he was sure his wife was out of earshot.

"We don't snitch on family, that's always been the biggest rule Brax has made clear in this family." Kyle says. "I wouldn't do it, even to your own wife. But why are you lying about Brax? Is he in trouble?"

"No…" Heath sighs. "I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"You can't get proper justice because of me."

"How? Ryan has been charged for aiding and abetting Jasmine and is in jail until his trial. The police will find Jasmine and she'll go to prison." Kyle says.

"The police aren't going to find Jasmine." Heath says, not wanting Kyle to live in fear once he knew the police hadn't found her. "She's gone."

"I don't understand." Kyle frowns as Heath shuts the door in case anyone came home.

"I killed her." Heath quietly says. "She was planning on leaving the country with a fake passport and the police wouldn't have got to her in time. I wasn't thinking when I shoved her and she must have hit her head on a rock or something." He says, glancing at Kyle as he expected him to be angry.

"I'd say that's justice enough for me." Kyle smiles. "As long as you don't get caught for it, I'm glad you did it. She ruined my life, is still managing to ruin it by doing whatever she did to Lillie that's stopping her from being able to attach to anyone else. I would have wanted to do it myself… I just don't have it in me." He mutters.

"That's a good thing. You don't want to have that ability because it can get you a life sentence in prison. Brax said he'd sort it, I have to trust that he knows what he's doing." Heath says.

"He wouldn't do anything that would mean you end up in prison. He took the fall for Ash that time, if he didn't for you, then… I don't really know. He'd do it for you as well, it's the person he is." Kyle lightly shrugs.

"Kyle…" Heath trails off.

"What? It's true. He told me he would have took the fall for Casey after he killed dad but the cops had CCTV evidence, so he couldn't. Unless it's on camera that you did it, I don't see why he wouldn't."

"I don't mean that, and no it's not on camera. There's no cameras down that road, I briefly checked after I dumped her in my car cause I freaked out." Heath frowns. "I meant look." He says, pointing to Lillie who was staring up at Kyle. "You've done it." He smiles.

"Don't jinx it." Kyle lightly smiles, taking in her eyes and remembering all the memories he had of her first few months on earth with him.

"I don't need to. The midwife said talking could really help and you've done a fair bit since she stopped crying. Just keep it up, I'll make sure everyone else knows not to help out for a while. We're not ruining this now. Brax knows what he's doing an no one is going to prison apart from Ryan, we'll make sure of it." Heath smiles.

"I'm going to speak in court against him." Kyle says, not taking his eyes off Lillie's.

"Yeah, Brax mentioned they wanted you to talk. You sure you're really up for it?" Heath asks.

"I can't let him get away with it. You gave me enough justice with Jasmine knowing she can't do this to anyone else, now I've got to make sure Ryan goes away for a very long time. They want Tori to talk as well, so hopefully with both of our statements we can do that." Kyle says.

"It's going to be tough by the sounds of his lawyer." Heath says.

"I know, which is why I can't stay silent. If I don't talk, he'll make sure Ryan doesn't go to prison and I can't let that happen."

"It won't, you've got this. And you've got us, you know we'll never let anything happen to you, of any meaning."

"Of any meaning?" Kyle frowns.

"I know you don't want to relapse, we all do. And we don't want you to either. Bruno helps a lot, which is great. You've got that therapist as well."

"You could just say I've got options." Kyle laughs, getting a giggle from Lillie. "Someone agrees with me as well."

"Yeah, alright." Heath shakes his head. "Good to see you two getting along now." He smirks.

"Don't jinx it." Kyle says as Ricky walks in with Emilia.

"Hey, is Brax not with you?" She asks, not getting a reply from either of them. "It's just I can't get hold of him."

"He's gone away for a few days." Heath says, briefly glancing at Kyle.

"He never said why, he just left." Kyle adds, not wanting Heath to tell her as well.

"He wouldn't leave like that without telling me something. What's really going on?" Ricky asks.

"I got Lillie back." Kyle quickly says to change the conversation. "We were talking for a while, and now she's settled."

"Aw, Kyle I'm so happy for you." Ricky smiles. "I told you it could happen one day soon."

"Yeah, well maybe I just needed to see if for myself."

"Well I for one am not complaining, this is the quietest she's been for a while." Heath says.

"It great, Kyle. I'm proud of you." Ricky smiles as she watches them.
